Hello, if you have picked up this book and plan on reading or re-reading it, know that this book isn't for me
It's for Lucky.
Now, somepony behind you may be wondering why you're reading a book with a pony in a wheel chair on the cover. Well, tell them that it was because it looked interesting or something, the fact that you are reading this is what's important, I suppose.
I'll try and keep this short, for the sake of letting you get to the actual story.
I met her a few years ago at Dodge Junction. She was having trouble getting the attention of the ticket teller; I asked where she was going and as it turned out, we were going in the same direction so I got her a ticket. (She insisted on paying me back)
She told me her name and I told her mine. What happened next was a bit embarrassing.
"You want to know how I lost my hooves and what happened to my head?" she asked.
Truth be told, I was moderately curious, so I listened to her story, just a little peek compared to what you're going to read. When she stopped she was surprised to see that I wasn't crying. I told her that I would like to hear the rest of the story but our stop was coming up. She nodded and smiled "If you want, we could meet up at my hotel and I could tell you."
I smiled back at her and nodded "I'd like that."
So after my errands were done I went to her hotel and we talked; well, she talked, I listened.
When morning came I left and told her that if she wanted to talk or something, to contact me. She nodded "I come here every month
so... want to meet up here in a month and I can tell you the rest of my story?"
I smiled again and agreed.
After a year of this, I suggested we put it in a book.
The book you're holding
She was against it but eventually gave in.
I just want to say that she is among one of the most interesting ponies I've ever met.
Enjoy,
