”Come on in” Rarity sounded distracted.

The door quickly opened and an orange pony walked in.

“Hey Rarity” Applejack greeted friendly. She looked around the room. It was unusual messy, for Rarity’s standards. Cloth lying randomly on the floor. Applejack looked to her left, still unable to see where the heck Rarity was. A quick look to her right revealed Rarity having her head down a box filled with clothes and cloth.

“Wonder what project she is working on now” Applejack thought to herself while walking close towards Rarity.

Applejack noticed Rarity’s behind was waving from left to right, while her head was still down the box. She kept mumbling something very silently. Unwillingly, Applejack couldn’t help to blush while looking at Rarity’s plot, waving around.

“Almost like an invite to…” Applejack stopped herself.
“Nono. The hat Applejack, you need help to fix your hat” she straightened her priorities and stopped a few feet behind Rarity.

“Ah’ don’t wanna interrupt Rarity, but what in tarnation are you doing?” Applejack asked, trying to take a closer peek down the box.

Rarity finally reacted; “Hi Applejack. You caught me at a bad time, I’m sorry to say. There is a private gallery in Canterlot tomorrow, and 4 ponies have ordered custom made dresses. I’ve been so stressed and now I can’t find the damn cushin. I’ve been searching for minutes and…” Rarity was talking fast and did indeed sound pretty stressed. Applejack took a step back.

“It seems she’s busy. I should probably leave” Applejack thought, while Rarity was still talking.

“So what was it you wanted?” Rarity suddenly asked, finally popping her head up from the box.

“Ah’ just… wanted to see if you could fix my hat. There has been forming a hole in it for weeks now, but… I can see that you’re busy. I’ll just come back another day” Applejack almost sighed.

Rarity faced Applejack with a hesitating look on her face. “I’d hate to let you down, but I really am busy” she paused. “But I promise, tomorrow I will be able to help you out” Rarity sent a warming smile.

Her hair was slightly messy, but she still looked beautiful in the glow from the window above her, while her eyes had the every lasting shine to them.

“It’s alright. Whenever you have the time” Applejack smiled with her eyes closed.
“Oh, also” Applejack looked up. “The cushion is lying beside your bed, over there” Applejack nodded to the left.
Rarity quickly noticed the red cushion lying openly on the floor. She quickly looked back at Applejack, with a slight blush of embarrassment. “Oh, thanks dear” she just said and looked down.

“No problem sugar cube” Applejack smiled, while placing her hoof on Rarity’s back.
“Just promise me to not stress out too much” Applejack looked into Rarity’s eyes with a reassuring smile, just before turning around and walking towards the door.

“Wait” Rarity suddenly said, making Applejack turn around.
“I think I can take a look at your hat” Rarity was blushing slightly.

“You sure?” Applejack responded, not wanting to burden her further.

“I insist” Rarity smiled gently.

Applejack looked at her for a moment, then bowed her head down and took her hat off. She placed it on a nearby table and looked back at Rarity.

“Thank you Rarity. I’m glad to have a friend like you” Applejack had a wide smile on her lips.

“Thanks…. Applejack” Rarity looked away, hiding her red cheeks.

“Well, I'll see you later” Applejack said, walking out the door, before closing it behind her. Just as Applejack got outside, she let out a sigh and looked at the beautiful sun above the nearby tress. Her body felt warm, while she began walking with a lasting smile.
