It has been many years since the coronation of Princess Twilight Sparkle, for awhile Equestria seemed to flourish, however, in recent years a dark force has been brewing, turning Equestria against itself, shrouding the land in darkness. Many ponies fear to leave their homes for the strange noises heard in the streets, where darkness lies thick like a blanket of fog, royalty is not permitted to leave the palace, but this changes one night, when a loud crash is heard near Canterlot Castle.
