My Missing Shadow

An annoying buzzing sound awoke Constellation, too lazy to try to silence the buzz she threw her pillow over her head, it

didn't silence. She started smacking every thing she came across of on her nightstand, soon the buzz stopped. Constellation's

victory was short lived, just five minutes later it started to buzz again. "Five more minutes!" She yawned, lifting her pillow she looked

at her alarm clock, 12:04. "Too early in my opinion." She yawned and rolled off her bed and cast a levitation spell right before she hit

the ground. "Still got it." She smiled.

"Oh please I could do better in my sleep." Something said in the back of her head, dropping her confidence through the basement.

It had been there for a few weeks, ever since she visited the Crystal Empire. She sighed and walked over to her mirror, brushing her

mane was the first thing to do in morning routine or her noon routine. She brushed it for a minute or two and started to walk over to

her dresser, but then she saw something or she didn't see something, her shadow was gone! She spun around looking for it but it

had just disappeared and there was plenty of light. "There is only one thing to do in a situation like this!" She cried, then she ran out

the door and went for Zeke the zorse's tree, he didn't rhyme as much as the zebra named Zecora did but he still didn't make much

sense.

Here it was, a small hollow tree on the edge of town, Constellation turned to make sure her shadow was still gone, sadly it was. She

knocked on the door, almost instantly the door opened. "Come in, come in, come in." He said. "Would you like some tea tea tea?"

He let lose a hic up.

"Sure..." She said, he clearly had been drinking some kind of alcohol. She stepped into the tree and he gave her a tea cup, she

sniffed it before she drank it and she was thankful she did. "Potatoe vodka, Zeke I thought you were quitting." She whispered the

last part and while he wasn't looking she tree it out the window. "Lets get to business Zeke."

"What are you youz youzy needy need need Conse Consy Constell. Hic!"

"My shadow is missing if you can't tell and your a witch doctor so I want to know why!" Growing more disgusted every minute.

"Hic!" He took her hoof. "You have somethinging wing ring eating away at you moo roo. The creature meature has done won it's

first worst step and eaten beaten your more shadow. Also something is also ralso watching matching you moo. Hic!" Constellation

closed her eyes and shook her head.

"Bye Zeke." And she stepped out the door, it was hard to believe a drunken pony, but she knew something was watching her

already and her shadow had disappeared so maybe he was telling the truth, but it was too early in the afternoon for her to debate

that at the moment.

As soon as she got home she fell asleep on the couch, but a few minutes into falling asleep she opened her eyes. There was that

feeling again, someone watching her, she got up and shut all the blinds but she still felt like someone was watching her so she went

over to the couch and fell back to sleep.

~Inside Constellation's Head~

A dark shadow resided in the back of her head, talking to itself. "That shadow tasted powerful, but the welp is starting to realize I'm

here. I have to finish this host on move onto another." It mumbled, then it smiled an evil smile. "Or maybe this one will be enough."

He said with thousands of thoughts of revenge and wrath going through his head.

~Outside Of Constellation's Mind~

~An hour or so later~

Constellation awoke feeling sick and existed, no matter how much she slept it never seemed enough. It was as if something was

sapping the energy out of her, she yawned and got up. "Maybe Zeke was right.... But if he was how do I get it out?" Then a

flickering light bulb appeared above her head, she gabbed her head and started to shake it. "Hello? Mr. Or Mrs. Mind getting out of

my head and throwing my shadow. I would be extremely thankful." She could've sworn she heard a a snicker, she sighed, she

hasn't had any luck since the Crystal Empire. She went into the kitchen her stomach sounding like a monster from the forest,

opening the fridge she looked around. A sandwich sounded great at the moment, she took out several ingredients and started the

thirty minute process of making her concoction. The sandwich was a foot tall, the young unicorn lifted the sandwich with her magic

and some how ate e sandwich with only three bites. She was starving still! Only after eating five of the same sandwiches was her

hunger satisfied, and she soon fell back asleep.

~Inside Constellation's Head~

It was time, he was going to take her life force to bring his back! The shadow laughed a dark laughed then stared coughing, the

smell in here was horrid! It smelled like.... a bunch of things all put together! "Okay, I'll wait until this putrid order died down before I

proceed with my plan." It said. He could wait a bit more in this place, to keep himself busy he had been prying through memories

and exploring her thoughts. He caught a glimpse of something, it was a folder of memories. "I haven't seen this one yet." He said,

stuff like this usually wasn't in his nature but he was bored. He opened it up, there was his hostess' body but as a filly with a

younger colt behind her, he remembered him, he was in the other memories, Ursa Minor, her little brother. The hostess was

appearing to have a fight with two colts. "Interesting..." He hissed as he leaned in closer.

"You two are just be a failure like your parents when you grow up and be working for us when you grow up!" One of the colts said.

"Shut up!" His hostess said in reply.

"Make us you worthless pieces of crap!" The other colt said. Causing Ursa Minor to cry.

"I said shut up!" Constellation said pence again and a building flash of light appeared. When the light disappeared the two colts

were knocked out and char was on the ground. "And that is how I got kicked out of school.." His hostess said, this was clearly a

mental note and she wasn't talking to him. Then all the shadow did was wait.

Author's Note

Constellation is based off myself because if no one wakes me up I'll sleep until noon also.
