The red wheels groaned and squeaked against the metal rod that held them in place. The driver, a young filly, lowered her purple optics in frustration as she softly pedaled down the row of stables to reach her home.
The moon lingered over head and small coos of owls drifted across the starry, unlived night as the orange pegasus beat her wings in an attempt to gain speed. Unfortunately, the rusty tires slowed her down as the marked the finely trimmed grass.
Finally reaching the darkened alley way between two small stables, the filly scooted into the cramped space. Hopped off, she slowly removed her helmet and saddle bags. Staring at her home, a small wooden box weathered down from the many years of sitting in that nasty ol' alley way, she sighed heavily and crawled into the damp space.
"Home sweet home.." she muttered softly as she drifted as sleep.

"You lied to us, Scootaloo!" Exclaimed the white filly, her green eyes glowering with hate.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Scootaloo sobbed into her hooves. Lying to her friends about having a family was one thing, being confronted, well that's another.
"Ya ought to be sorry! Ah can't believe ya would lie to us like that!" Applebloom scolded.
"Yeah! We aren't your friends!" Squeaked Sweetie Belle
Wiping her eyes with a hoof, Scootaloo rose. Looking her friends, dare she call them that, right square in the iris, she began to rant. "Fine then, don't be my friends. I don't need you. I have my box, my scooter, and...and...Well that's it! You guys have parents and sisters and homes and now you go along and ditch someone who doesn't have any of that! Well that's fine! Go ahead! See if I care!" And with that, the orange pegasus broke into tears and ran off.
The unicorn and earth pony exchanged looks and stared into the distance as Scootaloo galloped into the Everfree Forest. "Ah, ah didn't know she would cry like that..."
"I didn't think they were true!"
Sighing, the two fillies carried their troubles home.
