The doors of the beautiful Canterlot castle that Celestia once ruled where now finally in front of the true queen. All of her desires and needs lay behind those doors, all the servants and all the guards to protect her. Stepping inside, the dark alicorn studied the hallways, they were quite nice, black and white checkered hallways and if you happen to look up, your eyes would be blessed by the sight of the beautiful pure gold. Walking down the rest of the hallways, the dark alicorn’s eyes noticed the doors, a bluish tinted entrance traced with a nice trimming of onyx black.

There was something off about one door that stood out in particular, instead of being blue, it was a mahogany color with a well fitting gold trimming. The dark alicorn studied it, and soon realized she was utterly clueless of where she was and how to get around this insane maze of a castle. ‘Twilight Sparkle did tell of how she lived here, perhaps she can provide some information?’ Nightmare Moon, feeling her mane, felt it, the new sensation in her mane that was not usually there, the entity of Twilight Sparkle. Nightmare, using her magic pushed the unicorn out of her starry mane.

The unicorn was no longer crying out in pain, but still had tears rolling down her face and a expression that showed the affliction was not totally dispersed. Her hooves were still unmistakably broken, you could easily tell just by looking at them, they were bent the wrong way and had a big circle of a bruise around where the joints connected. Her eyes were clenched and her nose scrunched up, pathetic.

Nightmare, before letting the mare do anything stupid, quickly cast a healing spell on both of Twilight’s hooves healing them and fixing all the shattered and disconnected parts of the bone, the alicorn now realized why it hurt so much for the mare, she did not simply break the hooves, but the pressure literally crushed her bones. ‘I... I didn’t mean to do that, it’s not like I wouldn’t do that, but this is only a innocent mare that just happened to been chosen to be powerful enough for my liking and sent out by the tyrant to stop me. Why am I feeling penitent?’ Nightmare saw movement in the corner of her eye, quickly turning back to Twilight.

“Your hooves... I did not intend to crush them, Twilight.” Nightmare said, not looking the unicorn in the eyes, but rather the mare's hooves which she crushed the bone of.

Twilight stood up, testing out her new and repaired hooves, then smiling, ‘She’s not that bad of a pony if she will do that for me, although she’s the worst I’ve ever seen. Perhaps I’ll ask her about Celestia later.’

“I need directions, Twilight. I take it you know your way around here after this being your home for so long.” Nightmare said expectantly, looking down at the unicorn only met by the unicorn’s confused and beautiful eyes. ‘Beautiful?’ “I need a home here, where may I find one?” Nightmare asked the same question as the last one she had asked, but differently.

“My chambers are near the top of the castle, but you wouldn’t want to stay there, trust me, way too small for you.” Twilight said, trying to trick the dark alicorn into doing anything except share the same room as her, fearing what she might do to her.

“I take it that there’s no regular rooms here for a pony as big as me?” Nightmare Moon pressured the mare further, honestly, what she really wanted was to find where Celestia’s chambers were, and she knew the unicorn was beating around the bush and hoping she didn’t notice that she was avoiding the subject of Celestia’s chambers.

“N..Nope I guess that means we can’t stay here, at Canterlot!” Twilight blurted out quickly, almost yelling and talking as fast as she could while also talking strongly.

“Twilight, you cannot fool me. Show me where Celestia’s chambers are, this is an order.” Nightmare through her most piercing glare over at the unicorn, making the unicorn turn her head away fast to avoid the stare that would burn holes through her.

“B-but I” She was cut off short. “Are you questioning my orders, slave?” Nightmare said with more authority.

“No, Nightmare Moon. I’ll show you to Celestia’s chambers, follow me.” The frightened unicorn said, and the only response she got was a very hard, slap to the face, knocking her down on the checkered stone. Twilight looked up at Nightmare with tears in her eyes, “Why?” The mare pleaded.

“You will call me by Queen Moon, or Mistress is that clear?” The unicorn, in turn, got back up and walked back to the side of her queen.

“Yes, Queen. I’ll show you where Celestia’s chambers are at now.” The unicorn was not scared that Celestia might be there, because her queen stated that she would ‘never see her princess again’ which rose more questions to Twilight's head. ‘What has she done to Celestia?’ Twilight walked down the hallway, Nightmare Moon following closely behind her and watching directly ahead until she reached another set of mahogany doors traced with gold, just like the last door.

‘Its just like that tyrant to have two rooms.’ Opening the door, Nightmare walked in and examined her surroundings, there was a large red rug in the middle of Celestia’s room, a bed big enough to hold three princesses in the middle of the room and put against the wall. A medium sized fireplace was put near the left side corner of the room, ablaze and dancing, somewhat illuminating the room. And lastly, a window near the end of the room, with red curtains putting somewhat of a red tint along the room. Other items not included that were around the room was stuff like dressers, filled with a variety of odd things, mostly letters though.

‘It's now or never, I will not get stuck in here with her!’ Twilight looked around looking for any possible exit around Princess Celestia’s chambers, finding the only one was a door and a window, if you want to die that is. ‘I can just try to outsmart her, yeah that always works, hopefully she's not as smart as she sounds.’ Twilight decided. “Okay Queen Moon, I hope you like the chambers, but as you need your chambers, so do I... so haha... yeah... “ Twilight said slowly backing away from her Queen towards the exit that wouldn’t kill her.

“You are not going anywhere, Twilight. I’m keeping an eye on you, not to mention, I am supposed to be training you if I ever want you to rule by my side.” The alicorn sighed, levitating the unicorn over to the fireplace with her and laying her down by her side. “I don’t have normal conversations very much.” The queen stared into the fireplace, watching the fire dancing with her draconic eyes, slowly letting it hypnotize her.

“Why?” Twilight asked her, also staring into the flames.

“Why? What do you mean, why?” Nightmare asked, starting to get angry.

“I mean, why do you do the things you do, why do you harm other ponies? What did you do with Celestia?” The mare asked being uncertain for the consequence she may receive for mentioning Celestia, but taking the risk nevertheless. Before the unicorn could even think twice, she was quickly barricaded in by a blue aura of magic.

The levitation spell quickly flung itself towards a nearby wall, with its host flying into the wall with it. Twilight fell down off the wall she was flung into, plunging into the ground.

“What I did with Celestia is none of your business, do not ask about this subject again!” Nightmare said in a dark and threatening accent.

“I..I’m s..sorry! I won’t ask again!” Twilight cursed her curiosity of the situation, although threatened, the mare's mind was still bringing up more and more questions. ‘If she doesn't want me to see her... does it mean she's dead? Or harmed? Powerless?’

“Look how weak and powerless you are.. it almost makes me cringe just by assuming your innocence. Just imagine Twilight, what you could do with the proper training.” Nightmare said, circling the fallen mare just like when she was defeated in the abandoned castle, and laying down next to her; once more rubbing her hoof against the lavender unicorn’s cheek, but this time the unicorn didn’t shudder, although her face did turn a few shades red from the contact. “Lets get some proper training done, shall we?” Nightmare moon stood up, waiting for the unicorn to also do so.

Twilight stood up, waiting for her instructions on what to do next. “Give me 100 push-ups.” Nightmare Moon said. (Lawl you totally expected sex, not yet.)

The mare looked frightened now. ‘100! I don’t even think I can do 30!’ Obeying her queen, the mare slowly started to push herself up and down with her not so broken hooves on the floor.

‘24.. 25.. 26.. 27.. 28.... 29.... 30...... 31....... 32’ The unicorn sweated profusely, being the first time she had really ever done such an exercise. Twilight dropped to the floor, and looked back up at her queen, and instead of seeing a disappointed face, she saw a face which she could not read.

“You did... adequate. Although, this is definitely not the only exercise I’m having you do, last and least you're going to do 50 sit-ups.” Nightmare Moon stated.

Twilight, once again, obeyed her mistress and laid down on her back and put her hooves behind her head, she definitely didn’t like being so exposed in front of her mistress.

‘42.. 43.. 44.. 45.. 46.. 47.. 48, 49, 50’ Twilight mentally counted all of her situps, and surprisingly, didn’t even break a sweat during her 2nd exercise. Looking back up at her new mentor, she could see a slight smirk on her muzzle.

“Well done.” Nightmare, once again showed no emotion, and went straight to the point.

Twilight, covered in sweat and breathing deeply, now realized how tired she actually was from the day's activities. “U..um may I please rest, Queen?” Twilight asked.

“Yes, you have done well for today, you may rest, I’m studying this place inside out then giving my announcement.” Nightmare Moon left the room, leaving Twilight to go up to the bed and lay her head down on one of the covers.

‘Nightmare isn’t too bad of a pony, I’m sure she didn’t actually kill Celestia, but, during her rule, eternal night, crops, solar energy, what were they going to do about that? Also how much abuse I have to go through, and only on the first day.’ The unicorn, with one last confused thought, drifted off to sleep.

Twilight woke up to a loud voice booming across the halls and every room of the Canterlot castle, and she could still hear it as if someone was shouting directly in her ears. Curiosity getting the best of her again, she stepped out onto the balcony to see what all the fuss was about.

“I am the true ruler of Equestria! I have defeated your precious princess and will bring forth eternal night, any that refuse my order, will not be slaughtered, but rather, their families will be hung at the gallows for all to see.” Nightmare Moon shouted toward a crowd of far over 1000 ponies.

That was all the already depressed mare needed to hear before running off back into her room and onto the plush comforters of the queen's bed, softly laying her head on the pillow, Twilight softly cried. “What have I gotten myself into?” The mare cried out loud. “I’m so sorry I failed you Princess, I’m a bad student, and I always was.”

Nightmare Moon heard everything, she had been there, almost as soon as Twilight left, the announcement had ended. Nightmare Moon slowly walked onto the bed, probably for dramatic effect, and laid down next to Twilight, becoming some sort of habit. “You will not serve Celestia, or anyone else for that matter, I will corrupt you, and you will, only serve me.” Nightmare Moon knew exactly what would corrupt the poor mare, and that was, not what, but rather who was in her dungeons. Laying her head down on the soft comforters, Nightmare Moon drifted off to sleep after about a minute of silence and the nothing but the sound of the soft breathing of the beautiful mare next to her.

Twilight could not go to sleep, her queen had drifted off to sleep nearly an hour ago, yet the unicorn had just kept tossing and turning about, never successfully catching the sleep that was always at her grasp, and at the last moment she always would always lose her grip on it.

She knew why, it was overly cold due to the natural sun rays no longer warming up Equestria in preparation for the night, which was already cold enough, and not to mention, there were no blankets to shield her from the cold. Twilight glanced over at Nightmare, and slowly, and secretly slid into the alicorn’s warm and comfortable side without a thought, and she, for once, actually felt safe. Drifting to sleep, Twilight had the most wonderful of dreams.

Celestia struggled against the chains that Nightmare Moon’s guards had put around her, her physical strength proving no match for them. She knew Nightmare was coming for her, she feared for her faithful student, what had she done to the poor mare?

Celestia’s train of thought was cut short when the sound of clanking locks and the ear piercing sound of the prison door opening caught her attention. Opening the door was Nightmare Moon herself, her faithful student following closely behind.

Author's Note - I had a lot of spare time on my hands today, and got it done quick. I just want to mention, not much happened in this chapter, it was for the sake of emotions growing and getting mixed and confused. And that, is why it was so easy to do.
