Warning: This is the first fanfic i’ve ever written, so it probably won’t be too good. Pardon my use of punctuation, quotes, or any other grammar issues, its not that I don’t know how to do them, its just that I choose not to. Swearing is involved, Violence is involved. Also, this is about Fictional Little Horses that have Wings, so if you’re not into My Little Pony, then run away.
My mother burned the cigarette into my orange fur, the pain was intense. I don’t think I’ve ever screamed so loud. She closed my mouth and yelled, “Shut the fuck up, you little cunt!” I tried to fight her off, but it was pointless. She was much stronger than me, surprisingly. I hate whenever she gets drunk. I heard the door downstairs open, and I was filled with a wave of relief. My father was home! That meant she would back off, to go greet him, and I could bandage up my wound, and then go to bed, but what happened next, was completely different.
I don’t even want to write about what happened last night. Whenever I woke up, my body was horribly sore, covered in cuts, my fur was stained a dark, red, but the blood has already dried. My purple mane was mangled and knotted. I tried to mend my wounds the best I could, but I didn’t bandage them, that would bring attention. I took a shower, to try and clean the stains covered in my coat. I still had to go to school, after all. I flew there, and I saw that the entire place was decorated with red hearts, streamers, the works. It was Hearts and Hooves day, great. Another day where I can sulk around, watching my friends with their pegasi boyfriends have fun, and I get to sit there, lonely.
After school, my friend Saturn, a tall and slender pegasus walked up to her. Saturn was a good friend, I met him about 2 years ago, whenever I moved up to Cloudsdale. “Hey Scoots, whats up broo?” he tried to put his arm around me, but I quickly push him away. “I don’t feel like talking.” “Whats wrong? Are you alright? Why is some of your fur burned?” I appreciated his concern, but I wasn’t in the mood for it. “Nothing. I accidentally burned myself making food. Stop asking.” He moved back, as if Scootaloo had slapped him, “Alright, sorry. I’ll talk to you later.” I flew for home, not in much of a rush. I wanted to get home, except I didn’t feel like being around my mother. At all. I opened the door to my home, and flew as fast as I could to my room. Halfway up the stairs, I heard my mom yell up “Where the hell are you going so fast?” “I have school work.” I replied, coldly. I wanted to avoid her the best I could. I did not want anything to do with that bitch. Whenever I was about to go into my room, I felt a sharp pain in the back of my head, everything went black.
I woke up, hours later. The back of my head sore. Chained to a pole that in the middle of the room, like some kind of animal, the shackles on my neck made it hard to breathe. The room was dark, and the air was damp. The only light provided was from a single lightbulb hanging from the ceiling. I was still to dazed to where I was or what was going on, but after a couple of minutes, I realised what was happening. My mother, or someone, knocked me out, and threw me in their basement, or whatever room this. I found what seemed to be a notepad, which I intended to use to record what happens down here. I found a pencil in a box under it, luckily it had a hand sharper with it. Hopefully whoever is my captor doesn’t find it. All I could do was stare at the walls, and write.
I looked up whenever I heard a pony trotting down the stairs. I should have figured, the pony was my mom. I pretended to sleep, hoping she would just let me sleep and go back upstairs. I knew she wouldn’t let this happen. “Wake up, I know you’re not sleeping.” I pretended that I didn’t hear her. Big mistake. She kicked my head violently, right on the back of my head. “Whaa-” She shoved her hoof in my face, and stared into my eyes with those light purple eyes. “I don’t want to hear you. Keep your mouth shut or I will shut it for you. Now, nod if you understand me.” I nodded slowly at first, but then quickly finished the nod. She then trotted back to me with a tray on a cart. The tray was covered in a white loincloth, but I noticed oddly shaped bulges under the cloth. I had a guess to what they were, but I hoped I was wrong.
This was a weird thing to be thinking about at this time, but I just realised. My mom was downstairs whenever I got hit last night. Theres no way she was able to fly up the stairs that quick, and quietly. Shes horrible at flying. So that makes me think, who hit me? I noticed my mother removing the cloth from the tray, revealing what looked like an array of knifes and hammers. I knew what was gonna happen next, but I didn’t want to believe it. She grabbed a mallet-looking hammer, and swung it with all her might on my right wing. The pain was immense, it felt like 1000lbs had been dropped on it at once. “To make sure you don’t try to escape.” She said with a wink, and smashed the other one. I blacked out from the pain.
I woke up from what felt like an hour, but in reality it was about 5 minutes. My mother wasn’t there anymore. I analyzed my body, checking for what else she may have done. Both of my cutie marks had been crossed out in a red, crisscross. An array of red cuts covered my front half, and probably my back, I couldn’t really see it. I noticed, however, that the pole and chain I was tied to before were gone. What I saw next, had surprised me. It was Saturn, flying down the stairs. His eyes lit up as soon as he saw me, the same probably happened to me. “Scootaloo!” he said, as he flew over to me. We both hugged, it was one of the best things i’ve ever felt in a while. “I’m gonna get you out of here, and take you somewhere safe, ok?” All I could do was nod, the pain from my broken wings still lingered. All I could do was mumble out, “Thank you.” “Don’t worry about it, right now, we need to get you out of here.” He propped me on his back, and flew out of the house. I noticed what looked like a blood puddle in the living room, I could only guess who’s it was.
The cold air felt nice, but it wasn’t too cold. You would think an entire city made out of cloud would be fairly cold, but surprisingly not. We finally got to the Star Swirl the Bearded Memorial Hospital, weird that they name a hospital after a unicorn up here. Three doctors rushed to help Saturn carry me in, and I was put on a stretcher. The fluorescent lights helped calm me down, though they were horribly bright. I was being rushed to the emergency room, and then I saw Saturn trotting next to the stretcher. “Hey, it’s time to wake up”. I didn’t understand what he meant, so all I could do was say, “What?” and then I woke up.
It was all a dream, I couldn’t believe it. The entire time, it was a dream. it was so lucid, so real. The next month was unbearable, between the nasty food my mother was giving me, and the random beatings and burning that I received. I’ve finally come to realise something. I’m going to die, there’s no hope for me. My dad is dead, Saturn probably thinks I ran away or something, considering the way I acted the last time I saw him. All my other ‘friends’ don’t care enough about me to search for me. There’s so many things I haven’t done yet, I haven’t controlled the weather, haven’t passed my flight test, I never told Saturn how I felt about him, hell, I’m still a virgin. I don’t want to die.
The two police pegasi walked out of the house, the sounds of sirens through the air. “So, what have we got?” The chief trotted up to the two. “Neighbors called, said that they heard screaming. Double homicide, one dead male upstairs, one dead female in the basement. The male looks like he’s been dead for a while, but the female has only been dead for a couple hours. The mother is in custody, but she refuses to talk.” All the evidence lead up to it, the chief realised. “So, the mother kills her husband and her daughter, but what could be her motive?” The two colts looked at each other, knowing that the chief was right, but that can’t be possible. “That’s what it seems like, but-” The colt was cut off when another pegasus flew to them, with a notepad. “Sir, I found this in the basement.” Sure enough, on the blood stained cover of the notepad, was the title “Dear Diary”.
