Every day, my life is pretty much the same. I wake up, go to work, then hang out or go on the internet in my free time. Sometimes, I would even create fan art of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I also take some occasional walks and view the scenery, in case I need some fresh air.
Where I live is nothing but stony coldness. My street was just filled with abandoned bitter-freezing houses. I'm usually alone here in this neighborhood. I had to live here due to the low budgets that my parents and I had. They said, "Well, I'm sure that you'll enjoy this place and live a happy life," when they found out that's where I had to go. I knew that they were just spitting out sarcastic lies and didn't really care about me. Also, I don't think what they said is going to happen. To drive all of that away, I make fan art of you-know-what as a hobby in a style I personally like. I do this because every pony I see in the show or on a fan-site look so joyful and happy with their bright smiles. For some reason, I always get a slight sense of envy when I see them. I wonder how I couldn't be as happy as those cartoon horses. So, I give the ponies in the show, "touch ups." For example, I made art that showcases Fluttershy collecting animal heads. Ponies are alright, but I have slight resentment towards them. But one day, I came across something called, "fluffy ponies."
Those things are the happiest little critters I have ever seen, and I hate it. Their playfulness is disgusting, and their "cuteness" irritates me. I see them as idiotic numbskulls and weak pink creatures. So today after my shift, I went home to finish my latest piece. It's going to be called, "You Deserved It." It's a picture that features a fluffball in a dark corner, cowering in fear. I turned on my computer, opened the program, and went right to work. I lowered the brightness and saturation of the fur, since it is in a dark room, right? Now, I added the finishing touches, blood on the fur and tears..... a lot of tears. Perfect. I saved my artwork, logged into my DeviantArt account, and uploaded my piece. A few minutes later, I was already getting some annoying comments that try to make me stop. I swear to Celestia, those types of people are always commenting the same thing over and over again on my past art.
I logged out of DeviantArt and browsed the internet to check some daily stats. I checked the news and finances. Then, I checked the weather. It says that it will remain sunny all day with a high temperature of sixty-six and a low temperature of fifty-three. These temperatures are considered warm in where I live, and I was pretty surprised. I looked out the window just to make sure. I thought that it did look nice outside, and I haven't taken a walk in a few weeks. So, I went out the door to take a quick stroll. But suddenly, I saw something on the sidewalk that looks quite strange and intriguing. It's very small and.... pink?
I wondered what it could be as I slowly took my steps. I think that it was just a lost child's toy. I quickly lunged foward and tried to ignore the mysterious.... thing. When I walked past it, I felt something latch onto my pants. When I looked to see what was on there, I thought that my eyes were deceiving me. On my sweatpants were one of those fluffy fuzzballs. It had pink fur, and it was instinctively small, almost like a filly. I believe that this is the an iconic fluffy pony named, "Fluffle Puff," as people in the fandom state. Me being uncomfortable, I shook my legs as hard as I could. I also scolded at the thing.
"Hey! Get off of me!" I shouted.
I simply pushed it off of my leg, and that seemed to work. As I tried to continue my late afternoon walk, I heard the sound of scurrying behind me. I speed walked a little bit to make sure that it doesn't catch up. But, it seems like fluffy ponies are pretty fast. For I found it on my leg.... again. I sighed and decided to give up. If I just pull it off of my leg, it will return. Besides, the sun was already setting on the horizon of my town anyways.
When I got home. the puffball finally let go of my leg. She then decided to explore my house. The fluffball did look pretty fascinated at my human objects. After she looked at my stuff, she ran straight to me with a sad look on her face. At first, I didn't see what was wrong. But then, her stomach grumbled.
"You want some food?" I asked.
The pink fuzzball managed to nod at me. I walked over to my kitchen to open the refrigerator. I grabbed little baby carrots for the pink fluffball to eat. I snatched a plate and put one tiny carrot on there. Then, I took the food over to hairball.
"Here, take it," I said.
She seemed really reluctant to eat the carrot. "Hey, you are hungry, right?" I said as a gave a dirty look to fluffball. She took extremely small nibbles of the baby carrot. Seven minutes later, she finally finished it and walked away from the table. After her small meal, I turned on my computer. I needed to find out how I can get rid of these things. So, I went on to Google to see if it has any answers. Of course, there is nothing relevant. I turned around to see that the pink puffball was on my sofa. I grabbed an umbrella from the front of the door and raised it up.
"Don't make me use this!" I said in an intimidating voice.
The pink fuzzball scampered away from the sofa and hid behind the sofa. For some reason, she wasn't extremely frightened. When she peeked out behind my sofa, she still had a smile. Repulsive.
Later that evening, I thought that it was time to go to bed. I went into my bedroom, changed into my pajamas, and climbed into the blankets. A minute later, I found myself sniffing and tumbling in bed. I couldn't go to sleep. I found my reason when opened my eyes and raised my head up. Only to find a fluffy pink pony tail. She noticed me spitting out her fur and turned around. She hasn't even had to make any faces or expressions to tell me what she wants.
I said to her, "Fine, but only tonight. And stay off of my bed."
In the next morning, fuzzball must have had a good night's sleep on the bedroom carpet. She was running around my house this morning like a mad man. She was sprinting from room to room. Watching her scamper through my house was giving me a headache. After two more hours of dashing, this is when I started to get a migraine. I located where it was going to run to next, and stopped it in its tracks. I grabbed its body and stared into its "cute" eyes.
"Look, just stop with all scurrying, and stop with all of the trotting. There isn't a relay race going on here. If you disobey me, you'll certainly get it. Do I make myself clear?" The pink fluffball nodded then ran away, ignoring what I've said. Fine, but don't say that I didn't tell you,
I walked over to my bathroom to find the tool for fuzzball's punishment. I opened my bathroom cupboards and searched for what I was looking for, a needle that I got from a friend of mine. He says he 'knows a guy.' I finally found it and took it out. It still actually had some serum in it.
"Heh, one puncture of this and the fluffy rascal will stay still in no time," I said as I stroked the point.
I went out, and held up the needle. I searched for the puffball. Now, where are you? I thought. I found it, trying to eat some fruit out of a bowl. I raised my needle and got ready to pierce. When I tried to make a stab, that pink annoyance escaped from me and ran away again. She didn't even notice. I chased after her to try and make her stay still by force. I eventually came to a stop and decided to give up. It won't be any use. Maybe I should have made the fluffball run into my closet *then** give it the serum,* I thought.
Tomorrow must have been one of the most miserable days of life, even worse than when I found out where I was going to live and got my parents' reactions. After I tried to chase fuzzball, I needed to relax. Chasing her was pretty hard. She made twists and turns where she went. I turned on the computer to log into my DeviantArt account. This time, I decided to browse other people's artwork. I stumbled upon a piece titled, "Fluffy Fate." It showed a picture of what seemed like a fluffy pony's head laying on the ground. Blood leaking, neckbone showing, eyes closed. I was going to comment how amazing this piece was until I felt something on my shoulder. I looked to my left and found puffball hanging onto my shoulder, curious to see what I was up to. She had a stunned face, almost as still as the dead fluffy pony's face. Her eyes began to water. Then, she ran across the living room to jump out the window. Taking action, I got up from my chair and shouted,
"HEY, WAIT! WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING?!"
I quickly sprinted outside to chase after Fluffle. When I got outside, I couldn't find a single trace of Fluffle Puff. I looked everywhere. At the end of my street, in my backyard, and at the nearest park.
I took a quick stop at the park and looked around just to make sure. No trace. I wandered to a nearby tree and sat in the shade. I hunched over in front of the tree. At this point, I'm just wondering what her reason was for running away. My heart sank as I thought more about fuzzball... no.... Fluffle Puff. As I pondered more, I finally found out the reason why.... I just have an unforgivable loathe towards Fluffle's kind. She has a very recognizable love, and I just denied it. She was the only possible thing that can bring joy in my life. Now, she's gone, and it's all my fault. I don't know if I'll ever find joy again. As I sat in a tree's shade, wishing for Fluffle Puff to come back won't help at all. She saw a glimpse of who I am. I don't know how such a foul being such as I exist here.
I lowered my head onto my knees and just sat there for a few minutes and began to sob at these thoughts. When I finally stopped, I looked up and saw a fallen tree. I saw rope by the gigantic stump.
"I guess this is the only thing that I have left to do. Maybe I'll be happy in the other world, and it's probably for the best,"
As I walked toward the rope, I felt a tug at my pants. When I turned around, I saw Fluffle Puff. She looked more sad than I was. Being very regretful, I immediately gave her a loving hug.
"I'm so sorry... I-I just don't know what came up with me. For the past few days, I was treating you with inexcusable cruelty. But starting now, I'll turn over a new leaf and give you proper loving and care. I will also make sure that you have your life happiest as can be, I promise," I said to Fluffle Puff.
Fluffle Puff replied with a 'ppffffffffffffffffffffff' and a smile. She certainly has a valuable gift inside her that I must cherish forever....
Seventeen years have past, with Fluffle Puff full grown and healthy. Every since that day, I've gave Fluffle Puff a lot of affection and attention. I've played, cared, and loved her. I even made a little fluffy room for Fluffle as well. Right now, I was cooking up some lunch. I was making Fluffle Puff's favorite food, delicious and saucy spaghetti. I settled down a plate for her. She came running down to wolf down on her food.
"Woah, woah, you are very hungry, aren't you?" I said as raised my hands. Fluffle raised her head up and nodded for a split second. "After you are done eating, you can go relax in your own room. There are some toys waiting for you. And after that, I think it's a good time to go outside. Does that sound good?"
Fluffle Puff's eyes sparkled and her head nodded in response. After she was done eating, she scampered up to her room. I can already hear the bouncing of the toy balls. Suddenly, when I was doing the dishes, the doorbell rang. I opened the door to see who it is on this afternoon. I couldn't believe my eyes as much as when I first found Fluffle. At my door was the almighty queen of the changelings, Queen Chrysalis, and the purple princess of friendship herself, Princess Twilight. They both had unamused looks on their faces.
"Uh, can I help you two?" I asked. Princess Twilight stepped forward and cleared her throat.
"My name is-"
"I already know who you guys are. You both can just cut to the chase," I said.
"Oh, well, alright. Chryssi, do you think that you can explain the whole situation to him?" Queen Chrysalis replied to Twilight with a nod.
"You see, sir, on our way to your world, we have discovered that you are giving some harsh treatments toward Fluffle Puff. So, we are here to take her back before you do any more harm towards her."
"Harm?"
"Yes, harm. I clearly saw visions of what you tried to do! Smacking a fluffy pony....j-just.... why?" Just as Twilight said that, I died a little bit in the inside.
"Oh.... that. Princess Twilight, l-let me tell you that it's just a thing of the past. I have changed my ways! Fluffle Puff is fine,"
"I'm sorry but, I can't refuse to believe what you say. Not from somepony like you."
"But....." Queen Chrysalis rose up.
"No 'buts!' Resisting will be no use. Now, where's Fluffle Puff?" I sighed and tried to speak up with confidence.
"Well, if you guys don't believe me, then let me show you. Come on in," I lead both of the ponies to wait around my house. I called out to Fluffle to make her come out of her room. Once I did, she waddled downstairs and gave me another hug. Queen Chrysalis and Princess Twilight looked dumbfounded at the sight of how Fluffle trusts me.
"W-What? Fluffle Puff, how could this be?! You must have been feeding her poison to haywire her mind!" said Twilight as she pointed her hoof at me.
"Yes, enough is enough. Fluffle Puff, let's go." Fluffle Puff shook her head and hugged me tighter. Queen Chrysalis looked even more dumbfounded
"What...? ....Fluffle?" She settled her hoof on Fluffle's head and said, "Do you remember us?" Fluffle Puff shook her head yet again.
"Oh, that must be from the misfired spell...." said Princess Twilight. She walked over to the pink fluffy pony. "You see, Fluffle, you were in Equestria where you were with Chryssi and I! I was trying to test the limits I can do with my newfound alicorn magic by practicing my teleporting spells, trying to reach farther distances. But, you and Chrysalis were playing and accidentally knocked me over. Thus, making the spell fire, hitting you, and transporting you into this world."
"That's strange. When she arrived here, Fluffle Puff was a filly," I stated.
"She was? My theory is that she aged while she was coming to your planet. Besides, this world of yours is actually pretty far from Equestria."
"That is believably accurate, Princess Twilight. But nevertheless, Fluffle Puff needs to come home. We both know that Fluffle was never meant to be here in your world,"
With a sense of defeat, a replied with a sigh and a, "Okay, fine."
Reluctantly, Fluffle Puff walked over to group with Queen Chrysalis and Princess Twilight. Before the purple alicorn glowed her horn, I shout out. "Wait!" Rather surprised at the sudden yell, Twilight turned around, along with the rest of the group.
"Can I just say my final words for Fluffle Puff?" I pleaded. "Sure, do what you please," said Twilight Sparkle. I walked over to Fluffle Puff and kneeled down.
"Fluffle Puff, let me just say how grateful I am for you to come into my life. Before you came, I was just full of bitterness and loneliness, in this empty and cold city I call home. I used to loathe and envy your kind, how they looked a lot happier than me. But now, I've learned to love and care, as if something is my own. Even though we won't see each other in a while, I'll still remember what you have taught me." I hugged Fluffle Puff again and started to sob.
The changeling queen and the princess of friendship looked down on the ground and started to whimper as well.
"I guess we were wrong... maybe you aren't as bad as you seem to be," said the queen, "Yes, our apologies, sir," said Twilight.
"Nothing is amiss with following your instincts," I said.
Suddenly, Fluffle Puff gasped and ran quickly to her room. She came back with a pink paper heart. In the center was a drawing of me and Fluffle. Fluffle lunged her head foward to offer me her gift. I grabbed the drawing out of her mouth and stared upon it. She also took a small piece of her fur and handed it to me as well.
"Why, thank you Fluffle Puff!" I said as I gave her one last hug. She then ran to Chrysalis and Twilight. "Ready?" Twilight said to Fluffle. Fluffle nodded her head and had tears coming out of her eyes as she took a last glance at me. Princess Twilight's horn glowed once again. In the process, the whole group was waving goodbye to me. In a minute or so, there was a flash of light and the three ponies were gone. I gazed in the spot that they were once in and gripped Fluffle's gifts, and especially one that I will never forget and lose.
