Dresses
This is a fan fiction of My Little Pony : Friendship is Magic, not an actual dialogue from the show itself, but something that I have come up with on my own time. This was originally written for a class assignment that needed to embody that of Grotesque writing styles and show our teacher that we all understood the style and could apply it to our writing. I would never in my life dream of writing this for fun, and also hope no one else wants this to happen. All characters referenced in the story are owned by Lauren Faust and Hasbro accordingly and I claim no ownership to either the My Little Pony franchise or My Little Pony : Friendship is Magic the show. This story is intended for those with iron stomachs who can visualize very graphic stories that are more than full of gore, but also torment and despair. Discretion is advised.
One evening, Rarity was working vigorously in her dress shop. A project that she had been hired for was supposed to be finished and delivered to the palace in Canterlot by tomorrow night, and she still had much work to do. She used her magic to levitate a nice strip of red fabric over to the mannequin she had been forming the dress around. She wrapped the crimson fabric around the pony like mannequin and looked at it, taking a step back to admire the work. Red had adorned the entire ensemble and was much like the color of blood. However, it was mainly to match the roses that were the highlight of the Grand Galloping Gala, which were said to be stunning. Rarity was very happy that she was able to go, even though she had not been invited, she had the excuse of having to deliver the dress.
"And that should do it!" she said excitedly having one last ribbon tied to the front right hoof. "I'm sure that Octavia will love this dress, and she'll look wonderful." Rarity said, assuring herself of a job well done. She went over to her bed and snuggled in, her magic pulling the covers over her and tucking her in, accidentally knocking Opal, her cat, off the bed and onto the floor. Opal then went over to her bed that had been placed on the ground for her to sleep in during the day. "Goodnight, Opal!" Rarity said to her cat happily, not really noticing that she had disturbed her sleep.
Rarity woke up the next morning, well rested and ready to go, but first she had to get her mane tidied up and her coat groomed before the Gala. Although she could easily do this herself, she decided to pay one of the ponies in town to fix up her coat and mane for her. She walked through Ponyville and looked around, unsure of where the best place to go would be. Twilight Sparkle came running up to her after seeing Rarity stop and look around.
"Hey there Rarity, whatcha doing?" she asked her friend. Rarity explained her predicament to Twilight, who then started to think. "I'm pretty sure that they opened a new store for some stylist ponies just a block down from here, it should have a big sign in front of it." Rarity thanked Twilight for the information nodding to her slightly as she hurried off down the streets. She bumped into a strange pegasus as she ran by and almost fell over after coming into contact with her. She stumbled to her feet and looked at the young mare
"I'm so sorry, Derpy dear." Rarity said, Derpy replying that it was ok and she was fine, her eyes not focusing on Rarity at all. "I'll make you a dress the next time I get a chance." she promised the grey pony as she took off trying to get to the stylist pony's shop before they got booked for the day. She spotted a sign in front of a small house that had just recently been constructed and looked very nice, nowhere near as nice as her shop, but it looked acceptable. Rarity walked in, taking note of the colorful walls that seemed filled with energy, but her eyes were quickly averted to a gothic pony that looked like she worked in the shop. Her mane looked tattered, along with her cloths, bleak and almost distasteful. Speaking of distasteful, the look the pony gave Rarity was almost a #@$% you, and made Rarity somewhat angry with the pony.
"Do you style manes here?" she asked the pony, hoping that she hadn't offended the pony too much. The gothic pony blew a bubble that popped loudly in the shop. She licked it back into her mouth and started to chew loudly.
"Yea, we style manes here." the pony told Rarity, her expression bleak and depressing. "If you want your mane done, come to the back room with me, I don't like it out here. It's just too bright, it's hard to work with all this light.." she said, the depression in her voice making Rarity somewhat uncomfortable. However, this was the only other place in all of Ponyville, and the other shop was owned by a schizophrenic pony who would probably change his mind about how to style her mane 12 times while styling it, and she didn't want to take that chance. She proceeded to the back room with the gothic pony and looked around after they entered another room, the door closing behind her.
This new room was black, covered in dark red to look like cobwebs, that matched the black widow on the black unicorns flank. Rarity wondered what that cutie mark could possibly have to do with a special talent and decided it was better if she didn't know. The pony let Rarity in front of her so she could sit down in the seat so her mane could be styled.
"Did you have any idea what you wanted to do with this?" she asked, holding up one of the curls that lined Rarity's mane. Rarity explained that it needed to be different, seeing as going to the gala twice with the same hair would look terrible on her part. "Okay then." the unicorn said as she began to straighten it with shampoo and conditioner, rinsing it off in the sink. At first, Rarity hated the darker colors of this place, how bleak they were and how deathly it made her feel, but the longer she looked at the red cobwebs, the more she grew to like this dark texture that the pony had painted on the walls.
"Um, excuse me." she interrupted the pony as she was about to start cutting some of her hair. "Could you possibly put my hair back the way it was and give me black undertones?" she asked the stylist.
"Now you're speaking my language." the pony said, a bit more delight in her voice as she walked into a storage closet. "Were you thinking of keeping it permanent, or would you rather just have it for a few days like that." the pony asked, Rarity explained that she didn't want it permanent and it only had to last her through the night. The black unicorn sighed, her red eyes rolling that she hadn't met another pony who liked the darkness as much as she did. She mixed up the dye in a bowl and started to apply streaks to Rarity's mane.
Rarity had finished getting her mane done and her coat cleaned to a brilliant brightness that every mare at the gala would be jealous about. She neared her door only to find that it was locked. She didn't have a key, because she hadn't locked the door behind her on the way out. Unfortunately, unicorn magic was limited to visual senses and needed to unicorn to see what they were manipulating, except for very talented unicorns such as Twilight.
"Oh Celestia, I'm going to be late." she paced back and forth in anger at this. How in the world could she have been locked out of her own house? Just as she began to give up all hope, she heard a familiar voice.
"Hey, Rarity! Having some trouble getting in your house? How bout I give you a hoof!" Rainbow Dash's voice rang through the air, Rarity looked up and before she could see Rainbow, her eyes were blacked out and she couldn't see anything. She felt her groomed coat stick to the substance, she could feel it even on the tips of her mane and tail. "I thought you might like a mud bath!" Rainbow broke out laughing hysterically on top of Rarity's roof. Rarity could feel anger welling up inside her, Rainbow had pulled pranks like this before, but this was way too far. Rarity turned and kicked the door to her house down, cutting Rainbow's laughs short from the loud boom of the door breaking off the hinges. "Rarity?"
She used her magic and wedged the door so no other pony could get in. She walked carefully to her shower and made sure not to get too much mud on anything if she could help it. She rinsed off as best she could, finding that the mud was thick and almost completely dry. She reapplied her eyeliner and looked in the mirror.
"That stupid Rainbow Dash, I'll never get my mane fixed up in time." she complained to the mirror. She looked at the pony who was staring back, her straight mane, something she hadn't worn in ages, looked so different with the black streaks in it. She liked it somewhat, a different look for a different her. So she picked out a black and red dress, picked up the dress she had to deliver, and went out her front door. She then went to the train station, gave the ticket that had been mailed to her to the conductor pony and set off for Canterlot. The Gala was not interesting in the slightest, and next few days were more than trivial.
After about a week, Rarity had made a room, much like that of the stylists room, black with purple cobwebs painted, the only lights looked exactly like her cutie mark, three diamonds on the roof that were glowing blue, and a chair in the middle. She thought perhaps she could fit ponies for their dresses here, and then had a better idea entirely. But she couldn't carry it out alone. She walked to the library, a giant tree where Twilight lived and studied day and night and knocked on the door. Spike, her baby dragon that acted as an assistant there answered the door.
"Sorry, but Twilight can't rent out any books today becau-" he cut off shortly after looking at Rarity for a few seconds. "Rarity?" she nodded. "Twilight's upstairs." he said, he also continued talking about how cute she looked with her hair down, but she couldn't stand the fact he had a crush on her, but until now was too afraid to be mean to him. She pushed passed him and headed up the stairs to where Twilight sat at her desk. She approached the desk and tapped her hoof slightly on the ground to get Twilight's attention.
"Oh, Rarity!" Twilight said, surprised to find her friend here, and with her hair down. "I didn't expect to have you come over, I would have cleaned up if I had known." Rarity shook her head 'no' and began to speak.
"Twilight, how many ponies would miss Rainbow if she went on a trip?" Rarity asked. Twilight looked baffled at the question. She had to think about this, other than their group of friends, no one in Ponyville would really miss Rainbow that much, seeing as Derpy had gotten rather good at rounding up the rain clouds and making sure Ponyville stayed nice and warm and dry.
"Well, I suppose just Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Applejack, along with us." she said, Rarity nodding in a contemplative manner.
"Do you think you could convince Rainbow to come see me at my shop?" she asked. Twilight didn't see a reason why she couldn't and agreed to talk to Rainbow. "Have her meet me in the back room, tell her I'm going to fit her for a dress. I'll tell you more later about it." she said, glancing over at Spike, saying she didn't want the dragon involved. Twilight nodded, understanding Rarity's concern in not involving Spike in any way, and let her go without any other questions.
She sat in the back room, in the dark corner of the room waiting for Rainbow. It didn't take long, and it seemed that Rainbow was going to apologize for covering Rarity in mud, but she knew that it would happen every time that Rainbow felt like pulling a good prank.
"Rainbow, have a seat. I need to get some measurements on you so I can make a good dress." Rarity said, "and don't forget to lean back and make yourself comfortable." she said, an eerie tone in her voice. Rainbow looked a bit scared at this point but took a seat anyway and sat back in the chair.
"So Rarity, this is a new design for your house isn't it? When did yo-" Rainbow was cut off, as she was strapped to the chair at her head and each of her hooves and tail at once. The chair automatically did this as Rarity had designed. "Um, Rarity, don't you think these things are a little tight?" Rainbow asked, panic was filling her voice.
"Oh no, not at all Rainbow, it's perfectly fine I assure you." she said, that eerie tone still somewhat in her voice.
"I get it, you need me to be completely still while you measure, or your measurements may get off, that makes since Rarity. You're so smart!" Rainbow kept complimenting Rarity, more than likely just because she was trying to deny the truth that her mind had first made out.
"Yes, measurements." Rarity assured her as she took out a clamp that was mounted to a wheel and clamped it to Rainbow's rainbow colored mane. Rainbow didn't say anything to this, hoping Rarity only wanted to make sure not to get any hairs in the way of her measurements. "Rainbow..." Rarity paused briefly. "Do you know how long it takes to get caked on mud out of a mane?" Rarity asked.
"Rarity, if you're still mad about when I locked you out of your house and poured mud on you, I'm really sorry. I didn't think you would get that mad is all." Rarity copied her, taunting her by making her voice sound stupid.
"Let me give you an example, I've measure exactly how much time it took to get that mud out of my mane, and now you'll have to see what that's like." Rarity said as she flipped a switch, her smile was the only thing Rainbow could see in the darkness of the room. At first, nothing happened, until Rainbow heard gears shifting and turning, and slowly her hair was pulled tight with the clamp.
"Um, Rarity, this is getting pretty tight." Rainbow said, wincing every other word at the pain that was slowly starting to set in.
"Oh, don't tell me you're already hurting, we haven't even really gotten started yet." Rarity said, a slightly laugh escaping under her breath. "Oh yes, we've only just begun to have fun today." Rarity said, panic now filling Rainbow's eyes. What was she planning and why here and now, Rainbow thought to herself, trying to take her mind off the pain. It was hopeless though, the pain became greater and greater, as she started to feel each hair rip from her skull. Tears started to form at the corners of her eyes and stream down the sides of her face
"Rarity... Please stop!" she begged, but still, all she saw was the white smile in the blackness next to her.
"But Rainbow, if I don't do this, I won't have the right material for my next line of dresses. It's so hard to find rainbow colored fabric, and I'd much rather just get it from you." Rarity laughed again as she saw Rainbow starting to cry more violently. "Don't cry so loud, we're the only ones who can hear each other in all of Equestria, there's no point in crying for help now little Rainbow." she said, the smile still vivid in Rainbow's mind. As the pain grew too great to bear, she slowly drifted off into darkness and faded away.
Just as it had ended, Rainbow woke up, not feeling any pain anymore, but a slight breeze. She realized that it wasn't a breeze, but Rarity, standing over her breathing deeply and angrily. "You mustn't be so rude Rainbow, has anyone ever told you it's impolite to fall asleep when you visit someone's house?" Rarity asked her. Rainbow's heart sank as her eyes grew wide with fear. She looked back down and noticed a sizable needle sticking out of her chest, labeled "Adrenalin" and something even more horrifying. She couldn't see her tail like last time, nor could she feel to move it, she look around the room and saw her tail and mane hung up on the wall, blood slowly dripping from it.
"Oh don't worry Rainbow, I'll make sure that you won't bleed out here, I want you to see what I had to deal with." Rarity said a smile again on her face. "And try not to fall asleep again, would you?" she walked over and picked something up. A ball in the middle of some cloth, which she wedged into Rainbow's mouth and tied to the back of her head. "This way I can hear your screams still, but don't have to put up with the volume." Rarity said, hitting Rainbow lightly on her head, which still hurt as bad as if she had kicked it with full force.
"The next thing I had to wash was my coat, and that took even longer than my mane. Not to mention, I had to piece by piece, just make sure that I had gotten it all." She smiled as she went to grab something off a cart she had brought into the room in the time Rainbow had been passed out. A flaying knife was now floating in mid air swinging swiftly close to Rainbow's flesh. Rarity continued to scare her like this until finally she put a side of the knife onto her skin. The blade was cold, unremorseful, and felt like it wanted to kill. Rainbow was afraid of what was to come next, and braced herself. "Oh, is it too cold?" Rarity asked. "Let me fix that for you." she said, putting the blade into a fire that had been lit behind rainbow.
The blade now glowed with the heat of fire, steamed in the darkness and sizzled. "This will help with the bleeding quite a bit, wouldn't want your coat to get ruined, now would we." Rarity smiled as she started from Rainbow's neck. Rainbow's eyes shot open at the feel of scolding metal on her flesh, but when she went to scream very little came out of her mouth. Rarity cut straight down all the way to her back legs and began to think of the best ways to remove Rainbow's skin without cutting it up too much. She decided and heated the blade again, as it had started to get cold again. She inserted the blade into the first incision and started to peel the skin up off of her muscles, making sure not to puncture into any vital structures of the body.
She continued heating the blade and cutting, letting Rainbow scream in vain, and now and again she had to revive her with another shot. She started to make more of a song of it, each cut was like a quiet symphony that peeled away at every tendon and every cell, while Rainbow herself took the lead and had a solo all the way through. Her screams of agony filled the entire room as she yelled and screamed for her very life. Rainbow couldn't stop thinking that this wasn't happening to her, but she felt it, the pain that coursed through her entire being. The hot blade closed the wounds before she bled, making sure that she didn't lose too much blood to live, but also letting Rarity rip away the flesh that she once called her own. How could a simple prank like this have gotten Rainbow in such a situation, to where she was pleading for her own life?
Rarity slowly put the flaying knife back on the table, making sure that it was cleaned under some water after all the heat and blood it had just cut through.
"Rainbow, this turned out wonderfully!" Rarity said in delight, smiling at the formerly blue pegasus. "You simply must see my work." she said, a dark tone laying inside her voice like a monster that had remained dormant until now, waiting for the time it was released. Rainbow didn't want to see what Rarity had done, and found that it hurt too much to move her head and look for herself, so Rarity levitated her work over Rainbow.
She saw her coat and looked at it. Her wings remained attached, her head cut off and only one cut through the stomach up to the neck where the head was missing. Rarity had left her skin on her face, but it was even more horrifying seeing her own decapitated carcass in front of her. Rarity made the pelt dance around and taunted Rainbow's antics.
"Rainbow, do you know what would go good with this?" she asked the broken pegasus. "I think we need a hat. But there simply isn't enough material for that, we'll need some more."
Rainbow had passed out at the sight of the knife and the last thing she saw was a large blade that hung over her neck and out of the corner of her eye, Rarity stretching her hide and making it a bit softer.
"We'll make wonderful dresses out of this." she said, "Oh yes, wonderful, wonderful dresses." she smiled back at Rainbow. "Goodbye, friend." the blade slashed down as Rainbows head fell down a shoot into a furnace. The table she had been laying on released her body now and slanted up to allow her body to slide down into the pit as well. The trap door closed and Rarity continued to work on the blue dress, smiling all the while.
After finishing the dress, she went over to Twilight's house to talk to her about what had happened. She had made sure that Spike was asked to be out on errands that would take him all night, and Twilight happily obliged. She knocked on the door four times to tell Twilight that she was coming in, Twilight sat in her chair at the top of the stairs. Rarity walked up to her, the lights were now out and the entire library was lit only by a candle here and there as the moon loomed in the sky coming through the window ever so slightly.
"So Rarity, how did the dress go?" Twilight asked, still unsure of what had truly happened after sending Rainbow to her friend's house.
"Oh, it went very well indeed." she said, still smiling. "Let me show you." she opened her bag with her magic, taking out what used to be Rainbow's skin and coat. Twilight was unsure at what she was looking at. The blue that matched Rainbow exactly was in a long dress that flowed in the back, it had a few blood stains on it here and there and the wings that looked to be stitched on the dress almost looked like they were real.
"Are you sure that a dress the same color as Rainbow Dash would look good on her?" Twilight asked. Rarity giggled at the idea that Rainbow would ever wear this dress again.
"Oh, darling, no it's not for Rainbow, she was just a contributor to my work." she said smiling again. "We both know it had to be done, she would have just kept pulling pranks every day. In fact, it's better that she's not here anymore at all." The smile Rarity had was increasing exponentially as she remembered the dark deed she had just carried out. "Be a dear and cover all this up for me, will you Twilight? I need to go clean this dress up and put the finishing touches on." In the front of the dress, Rarity held up Rainbow's cutie mark that would link it together in the front. Twilight now understood what happened and agreed to tell everyone that Rainbow had moved.
"Were you thinking about making any other dresses?" Twilight asked. Rarity said that she hadn't thought about it, and knew Twilight would want the same done to Trixie, but Rarity held no grudge against the other unicorn. But perhaps her friends were just like Rainbow, and without Rainbow around, perhaps they would become even more annoying to her, and she would eventually have to make them into dresses as well. She told Twilight of the revelation and Twilight replied to her softly.
"If you need any help, just ask me. I'll make sure to get them to your shop and cover up for you."
A few days passed, Rainbow had apparently moved back to Cloudsdale and didn't want to keep in contact with anyone in Ponyville. It took the other ponies in there group some time to adjust, but were glad they still had the friends that they did. A few days later, Pinkie Pie tried to help Fluttershy while she rounded up the tiny baby bunnies in the forest. She took count of every one of them each year to see how the population was doing, and made sure that they were healthy and would be able to live through Winter. Pinkie, on the other hoof, was not nearly as adept at this job, and often scared the baby bunnies away before they could even be put in a circle, making Fluttershy's job very easy.
The pink pony was more of a partier than a care taker, and was too hyper to do a task like this, but Fluttershy couldn't possibly tell her to leave, she didn't have the heart to tell her friend she was doing a bad job. They gathered about 80 baby bunnies and more still existed in the Everfree Forest, that they would still have to go find. Fluttershy headed back into the forest and talked quietly to bunnies they found along the way, allowing them to ride on her back as she flew around. The forest wasn't bad in the day time, as a good deal of sunlight was able to break through the trees and onto the ground. It glistened off of the dew on the grass and leaves and looked like tiny diamonds scattered about the ground, showing just how beautiful nature was. It was the reason that Fluttershy truly loved coming out here in the forest and taking care of all the woodland creatures.
"Pinky, I have enough bunnies that we can head back and drop them off. I'm pretty sure after this, I'll be able to make an accurate estimate of how many bunnies were born this season." Fluttershy said softly, so as not to scare any of the bunnies.
"OOOOKAY!" Pinky said in a booming loud, high pitched voice. The bunnies cowered behind Fluttershy's wing, grabbing it and holding it as shelter from the pink pony. Fluttershy fell to the ground after losing control of one of her wings. She landed with a thud, but the bunnies didn't run away this time. She offered soothing words of comfort to the bunnies as they cowered and said it would be all right and they could go back to their homes soon. The bunnies released her wing and allowed the two ponies to exit the Everfree Forest.
After they got out of the forest, they looked around a bit and went back to the group of bunnies they had left behind when they went in.
"Okay, Pinkie, I'm going to take a final count of all the bunnies we have here, then we'll be done. But please, you have to be very quiet when I do, or they might run away again." Fluttershy told her friend.
"OOOO-" Fluttershy put her hoof over Pinkie's mouth and shook her head no. Pinkie looked at her and shook her head in understanding, up and down quickly and rather childishly. "okay!" she whispered, still with a great deal of enthusiasm. Fluttershy flew away and over the bunnies so that she could begin counting.
"Okay little guys, let's get into a few lines so that we can get you all counted and send you back on your ways." Fluttershy smiled as the bunnies slowly lined up in lines of ten, then started another line behind them. Fluttershy began to count the bunnies, making sure they hadn't miscounted.
After the last bunny had gotten in line, Pinkie jumped the gun.
"Let's PARTAY!" Pinkie shouted and jumped up and down, putting on a party hat with her hooves. The bunnies all flinched and ran in opposite directions from the pink pony. Fluttershy tried to gather them up, but this only seemed to amplify the problem. They gathered together, and began to run in one direction, towards Rarity's house. Rarity was now just entering her house after going shopping for more fabrics for another dress she had started, this one was to be delivered to the Gala by the train alone, and Rarity was not invited this time. The bunnies ran and ran, Fluttershy continued to try stopping them, but her quiet voice seemed to have no power over the frightened bunnies.
Before she knew it, the bunnies sped past Rarity going into the house and scaring Rarity. They ran through the house with dirty feet, and bit and scratched at everything, her bed sheets, the curtains, the walls, and yes, especially her dresses. Worst of all, the bunnies seemed to congregate around the new dress that was supposed to be done in two days. They clawed and bit at the dress, tearing fabric from it and shredding it on the ground, trying to make beds and tiny bunny huts to hide form Pinkie Pie in. As Rarity turned to see if there were any more bunnies coming to ruin her things, she saw Fluttershy flying towards her. From her perspective, and from the simple fact that it looked like she had been herding the bunnies in this direction, Rarity assumed the worst. She ran into her house and slammed the door behind her, dropping all of groceries on the way in as she used her magic to wrap all of the bunnies up in the now tattered dress.
She sent them out the door wrapped up in the fabric and through them out the door at Fluttershy, having it land on top of her. The bunnies then dispersed into the forest and around Ponyville where they would eventually calm down. Fluttershy was left on the ground covered by the ruined dress that had dirt all over it.
"Oh, Rarity, please don't be mad, they were just scared." she whispered under the dress, inaudible to Rarity, and Fluttershy then heard the door being locked. She got up and picked up the dress. "Oh little bunnies, why did you have to ruin Rarity's dress?" she asked the air.
Rarity sat in her bathroom, taking out a bottle from the bag of groceries that she had gotten from the market. She had visited the pony back at the stylist shop and bought a full bottle of the black dye. The last streaks that were put in were starting to fade now, and she just wanted to touch them up at first. But she stopped caring about being careful with the dye and putting straight lines in her hair that was still left down. She covered her mane in the black dye and dyed her tail along with it. She kept it down, covering half of her face as she grew more and more furious with what Fluttershy had done. Of all ponies in all of Equestria, Rarity would have never guessed that Fluttershy would do something so rude, something so cruel to her. But she knew exactly what to do back, and she started to plot.
She visited Twilight yet again, Twilight feeling more uneasy as time progressed. Rarity was slowly loosing herself to the darkness in the world, and forgetting what friendship really meant. However, she did tell Rarity that she could be depended on to help, and she didn't plan on going back on her word and letting her friends down. Rarity told her about Fluttershy releasing bunnies who had destroyed most of her work, including the dress that was absolutely necessary to have.
"Rarity, don't you think you may be overreacting? I mean, I can't imagine Fluttershy doing something so mean." Twilight tried to reason with Rarity before they did this again, but Rarity insisted.
"I saw it with my own two eyes Twilight, she herded those bunnies straight into my house!" Rarity said, anger still coursing through her veins. Twilight didn't argue any more, perhaps Fluttershy had become evil and wanted to hurt others. She thought that, perhaps, Discord may have tricked her again and changed her mood, but either way it was a very important dress, and was specially made for Princess Luna, who would now have to go without a lovely dress. Twilight agreed to telling Fluttershy that Rarity wanted to see her and apologize for locking her out and not trying to talk it over. Rarity thanked her purple friend and exited the library.
Rarity had a bit more planning to do this time, Rainbow had been killed in the fashion that Rarity saw fit to what she had done. Fluttershy, on the other hand, didn't harm Rarity in any way, but had tarnished her reputation and destroyed one of Rarity's best dresses. Rarity wondered into the Everfree forest looking around, she took a large raw beef steak with her using her magic to carry the bloody meat. She wondered for quite some time before she stumbled upon a cave.
"Perfect!" she said to herself wondering in. As she had planned, a bear was sleeping in the middle of the cave. She dangled the steak in front of the quiet bear, making sure to stand clear of its line of sight. The bear sniffed, still half asleep and its mouth started to drip with saliva as it pulled its head off the ground. It's eyes shot open and it snapped at the steak, catching it between its sharp teeth. The bear clawed at the meat as Rarity pulled it away with her magic, holding it above where the bear could reach, but close enough that it wouldn't give up. The bear reached for the fresh piece of meat without any luck, but Rarity would drop it closer so that it would continue to follow closely. She continued this until she reached her house.
Getting the bear through the door was the hardest part, it was almost too large to fit and was very dangerous. She had made sure she locked Opal in her cage and let her sleep before she had left for this task, so that she didn't have a fight in the middle of her house. She walked over to her black room, where she had redesigned the inside, getting rid of the chair in the middle and putting a frame up. The frame had 4 shackles that were able to be tightened and pull them further to the edges. Along with this, there was a large cage that was surrounded by bars that she led the bear in to. She dropped the meat in the cage and closed the gate that would keep the bear in, and she had laced the steak with sleeping pills so that after he had eaten it, she would have time to set other things up without a bear roaring in her ear to get out.
"Now, you stay there until I need you." Rarity told the bear as the sleeping pills started to kick in and he fell onto the hard metal floor of his cage. "You're going to have a lot more where that came from."
By now, Rarity thought, Twilight should already have Fluttershy coming over, and everything is ready for her. Everything seemed to fall perfectly in place, and she was ready to make a new dress. She had given the one that she made before to Scootaloo. She had always adored Rainbow Dash, and Rarity thought it would be nice if she could have a gift from her favorite pony before she 'moved'.
Fluttershy crept into the house after Rarity told her to come in. The lights were out, and everything seemed ominous.
"I'm sorry, it seems my electricity went out, I'm just looking for some candles right now." Rarity said. "Please, come in, I'll meet you in the den." Rarity smiled as she sat quietly in the shadows behind the door. Fluttershy came in and walked slowly, making sure she wouldn't bump into anything, and before she knew it she blacked out. Rarity had taken a frying pan and hit her across the back of the head as she walked in the door. She dragged the yellow pony with her magic by one of her wings. "It's seems I couldn't find any candles, but you can come in anyway, dear Fluttershy." Rarity smiled as she said this to Fluttershy's limp body.
When Fluttershy had woken up, she observed her surroundings. She must have just passed out from flying so quickly to get to Rarity's house and apologize. But she found something else was strange about this, every other house in Ponyville and even the ones she could see in Cloudsdale had lights on and electricity working. Why was Rarity's electricity not working then? She wondered for only a few short seconds when she realized something very strange, her hooves were all strapped and clamped in metal rings and she was standing upright and couldn't move from that position.
"Um, Rarity... Is anyone there?" She asked in the darkness, fear was in her voice, but not the most prominent part of it, yet. Rarity was sure that it wouldn't take long to hear only fear in the pegasus's voice after they had begun to have their fun.
"Oh, Fluttershy!" Rarity said excitedly. "I didn't think you'd ever wake up, I'm so glad that you did. But what's this?" She asked in a hypothetical voice, "You seem to be all tied up my dear, here, let me see if I can't get you down with one of these levers." She giggled a bit as she reached out for one of the levers behind her in the darkness. The chains began to pull to the sides of the frame, gears turning and clanking about in the darkness. Fluttershy's limbs slowly started to stretch out.
"Rarity, I think that's the wrong switch!" she said in a hurry, her voice still not very loud at all. Rarity flipped the switch back to stop the gears.
"Silly me, it's so hard to see in this darkness." she said, "Let me try something else dear." she flipped another switch which blindfolded Fluttershy as well as putting a cloth ball in her mouth so she could no longer speak. "Did that do anything Fluttershy?" Rarity giggled louder in the darkness. She could hear Fluttershy mumble something quickly such as 'Undo it, undo it!' but Rarity knew exactly what she was doing. "You're probably curious as to why you are even in this situation aren't you Fluttershy?" Rarity asked. "Well I'll tell you."
Rarity walked out into the candle light in front of the yellow pony. "I'm going to teach you what happens to ponies who ruin my things." she said, a dark tone lingering in her voice. She could see one tear roll down Fluttershy's cheek, a tear that symbolized just how much fear she truly had in her heart. "If you are going to use woodland creatures to ruin my dress, I'll just have to use one to make a new dress, don't you think?" Rarity giggled in her ear as she went back and pulled another switch. Red blood streamed down around Fluttershy and coated every inch of her.
At this point, the bear had begun to roar with excitement at the smell. "That is the blood of fifty little bunnies Fluttershy, they're going to help me make a new dress, just like you're going to help me make a new dress." Rarity giggled again as she flipped the last switch. She was now behind a protective wall that had been set up before hoof so the bear couldn't reach her. "Enjoy your time with you little woodland friends, Fluttershy, it's the last time you'll ever get to be with them again." Rarity giggled as she sat back and watched her plans unfurl.
The bear looked around a bit, unsure of where to go seeing as it was very dark inside, however Rarity had placed the candle in such a place that the only visible thing in the room was Fluttershy. The bear ran over, bloodlust in its eyes thinking that this was a huge rabbit that would feed it for many days. As he sniffed Fluttershy ,he noticed that she didn't completely smell like a rabbit and presumed that the rabbits were hiding inside whatever this was. The bear through a claw down, shredding through Fluttershy's skin and muscles, cracking a rib having the blood run down her legs as well as down it's arm. It had already started to pool at the base of the holding frame and she had only been hit once, Rarity couldn't wait to see the rest of the show. "
The bear slashed and hacked at Fluttershy, tossing blood and organs in each direction. The tendons in her body snapped apart as did her veins and bones. Rarity could hear the pony screaming out for mercy as time progressed, up until the bear slashed a claw through her neck, cutting off the muffled cries. Rarity was slightly displeased that she would no longer get to hear Fluttershy's pain, but she could see how painful it was. The bear continued cutting and slashing through her body. Blood now coated the back wall, as well as the floor all around the stand, and Fluttershy was still barely alive. Rarity took another raw piece of meat and dangled it in front of the bear, leading it back to the cage it had come from. The bear yet again fell asleep in its cage, and Rarity went back to Fluttershy.
"Oh, Darling, you look so tiered and hurt." She lifted up Fluttershy by the chin, looking at all the damage that the bear had done. "But you can't die on me yet, I need to get the rest of your coat off before you go." She slapped Fluttershy across the face with her hoof, watching tears fly to the ground from the yellow ponies eyes. "So sit up and make sure not to move, I wouldn't want to hurt you too much now would I?" Rarity laughed more evilly now, her entire voice was shrouded in hatred for ponies that would defile her work. She smiled widely as she picked up her knife yet again, not bothering to heat it, and began cutting every piece of skin off. She saw tears stream down, mixing with the blood, dripping into Fluttershy's interior.
"You know, I've never played with anything like this before. Tell me Fluttershy, does this hurt?" Rarity slashed a kidney down its entire length. Fluttershy's head shot up as she tried to cry out, but no sound came. Rarity still disliked not hearing the pegasus cry in vain. She continued cutting flesh, knowing that Fluttershy was still alive from her lungs that were clearly visible to Rarity from her perspective. She scalped Fluttershy, taking her long flowing pink mane and then her tail. She took off Fluttershy's blindfold "I want you to see the look on my face before I kill you, Fluttershy, I want you to know that I killed you, that I hate what you did to me." Fluttershy's eyes remained closed as blood started to rush over them, Rarity used her magic to open them against Fluttershy's will, Rarity's image seemed blurry to her and red.
Rarity gave the blood enough time to pass halfway through Fluttershy's eyes before she flipped another switch, opening the trap door into the furnace. Fluttershy could feel her bear muscles burning from even the slightest breath Rarity took, and she saw the bloodlust in Rarity's eyes. Fluttershy looked at her friend in horror as she smiled that devilish smile of hers.
"Goodbye, you'll have lots of fun in 'Cloudsdale' with Rainbow, I'm sure." Rarity smiled, Fluttershy trying to gasp as her eyes widened, only making more blood seep out of the large gash in her neck. Her view began to fade as she lost more and more blood. Rarity pulled another switch, which dropped the Pegasus into the blazing inferno at the bottom. "I'm sure the woodland creatures will survive without you." Rarity smiled as she watched Fluttershy try as hard as she could to escape the flames, unable to as she went down further into them with every passing instant. She flipped the switch again and closed the trap door. Next her problem would be getting the word out that Fluttershy had moved, along with moving the bear out of her house.
"Oh Twilight!" Rarity called into the library happily. "I have a problem I could use your help with. Twilight heard Rarity calling her and looked back at Spike, who was enthralled that Rarity kept coming by the library.
"Spike, stay here and finish that letter to Celestia." she said, telling him quickly what else to write down. "I'll be back in just a little while, don't leave the library, understood." Spike agreed, unhappy he couldn't see Rarity, but did as Twilight instructed. Twilight ran down the stairs to greet Rarity.
"Oh, Twilight, we should probably hurry, I'm all out of sleeping pills now." Rarity said, Twilight now had a confused look on her face. She didn't ask questions though, as Rarity took off in a matter of seconds headed to her shop. When they entered the shop, and back into the back room, Twilight looked around.
"You really did make a mess Rarity, I didn't think you'd do this in your own hou-." she cut off. "Is that a bear Rarity?" Twilight asked, disapproval in her eyes. "How did you even manage to get this damn thing in here anyway?" she asked noticing Fluttershy's coat and mane laying on the work bench. "And it didn't even seem that effective if you're going to make another dress, you really need to keep the coat intact, like you did with Rainbow."
"Oh yes, Twilight, but I needed to do something extra special for Fluttershy." Rarity smiled. "Besides, I only need your help with our little bear friend here." she said, Twilight rolling her eyes.
"Well, if it happens again, try not to make such a mess, and please don't have me come over again to get rid of another bear." she said, lifting the bear up with her own magic as Rarity opened the gate.
"Oh thank you so much Twilight, this means the world to me." Rarity said happily. "We could be business partners, you know." Rarity inclined.
"No, I'm no good with dresses, I think it's better if I'm a friend and just help clean up."
