“This has got to be my best plan ever,” Diamond Tiara chucked as she gazed at her newly dyed hair.
“I don’t know, Diamond. Don’t you think this plan’s a bit… dangerous?” Silver Spoon asked. Diamond Tiara turned to her friend with a reassuring smile.
“Oh please, Silver Spoon. Aren’t my plans always perfect?”
“Well, yes, but often executed poorly due to your impatie-”
“Good! Then it’s settled! I am going to the Crystal Empire to become the next in line!” Diamond Tiara said as she left her room, causing Silver Spoon to sigh in annoyance.
“This isn’t going to end well,” Silver Spoon mumbled, and went after her friend. “DT, wait! Don’t you think it’s a bit foolish to think Princess Cadance is going to fall for this?” At this Diamond Tiara stopped in her tracks and turned to her friend.
“Uh, no. Because I have the perfect reason that’ll be sure to convince her!” Diamond Tiara said with a smirk.
“... Care to share this reason?” Silver asked with a twirl of her hoof.
“Easy! Magic!” Diamond Tiara said with a chuckle.
“... That’s it?”
“Do you have a better idea?” Diamond Tiara asked, her eyebrow raised in annoyance.
“Well, yes. I believe if you-”
“That’s what I thought,” Diamond Tiara said as she turned away from her friend. “Wish me luck with my new family Silver Spoon! Oh, and from now on call me… Princess Skyla!”
“... Skyla? Seriously?” Silver Spoon asked herself, unable to comprehend the stupidity of the name. “Ugh, whatever. At least this is better than your plan to take over Sweet Apple Acres by marrying Apple Bloom,” Silver Spoon mumbled with a shiver. The memories of the somewhat failed plan were so frightening it still gave her nightmares to this very day.
“That plan would have worked too, if it weren’t for the fact Apple Bloom doesn’t inherit the land,” Diamond Tiara growled in annoyance. “Oh well. After I become princess of the Crystal Empire, I won’t have to worry about that silly engagement!” Diamond Tiara said as they exited her house.
“What? You’re not even going to say goodbye to your future wife?” Silver Spoon chuckled, causing Diamond Tiara to turn with a glare.
“One more snide comment from you, and my new mommy throws you into the dungeon,” Diamond Tiara threatened. Silver Spoon was unimpressed, however, even rolling her eyes at her highly annoyed friend.
“Good thing I’m a citizen of Equestria then, and not the Crystal Empire. Otherwise I might actually be slightly intimidated,” Silver Spoon said while sticking her tongue out.
“...Shut up,” Diamond Tiara growled, whipping her tail in Silver Spoon’s direction. “I am bored of this conversation, so I shall take my leave!” Diamond Tiara huffed. As Silver Spoon watched her friend leaving for the train station, a devious smirk slowly adorned her face.
“Now that Diamond Tiara’s gone, all of Ponyville Elementary belongs to me,” she chuckled menacingly. Soon all the fillies will be enslaved under her rule. She would rule them with an iron hoof, and possibly a whip if necessary.
“S-Silver Spoon! Pl-please stop hurting me!” she imagined Sweetie Belle begging. She would smirk at the scared filly, offering her hoof.
“You know what you must do,” she would mutter. Sweetie would hesitate at first, but of course she would give into her urges. She would nuzzle Silver Spoon’s hoof affectionately, trailing gentle kisses as she slowly got to Silver Spoon’s neck, which she would lick of course. Eventually they would be caught by Rarity, who stands there stunned at the two fillies actions, but also intrigued.
“My, oh my! A lady doesn’t trail kisses like that, Sweetie!” Rarity would say, to the shock of the two fillies. “Allow me to show you fillies how it’s done!” Rarity would say with a smirk. She would then show her and Sweetie the joys of marehood. All. Night. Long.
Silver Spoon chuckled at the thought, absentmindedly wiping away the blood that was trailing down her nose. Truly Diamond Tiara leaving was a blessing. A blessing Silver Spoon did not plan on wasting.
“Five minutes! Five Minutes till we arrive at the Crystal Empire!” A voice rang throughout the train cart, earning a grumble from Diamond Tiara.
“Ugh,” Diamond Tiara sighed as she rubbed her eyes. She stretched out her body, giving a loud yawn as she did so, which turned into a loud yell, earning a glare from the other passengers. Thankfully for them she was far too tired to care, so she simply turned away and stared out the window.
A seemingly endless mass of snow greeted her, going as far as the eyes could see. Snow gently fell from the sky, remnants of a blizzard most likely. Stifling another yawn, Diamond Tiara looked ahead towards the trains destination, and saw the brilliant shining form of the Crystal Empire. A cocky smirk slowly adorned her face.
And soon, it’s going to be all mine, she thought as images of crystal ponies building statues in her image. They would re-name dinner to “Skyla’s gift’. Famous designers would come from all corners of Equestria just to beg her to model for them!
Soon Diamond Tiara would be gone, and in her place Princess Skyla would be born.
Shining Armor and Cadance stared at the cute filly before them, claiming to be the child of Princess Cadance. It made no sense! How could she possibly be Cadance’s child?!
“Whoa there, kid. There is no way you’re our child!” Shining Armor yelled, causing ‘Skyla’ to flinch. “First of all, how old are you?”
“... Twelve?” Skyla answered nervously.
“Exactly! She would have been just a year older than you!” Shining Armor said with a glare. “Second: I didn’t know Cadance twelve years ago, so I’m not your dad!”
“Never said you were,” Skyla muttered, earning a glare from Shining Armor. Crap! This isn’t going well! If I don’t think of something quick, then he might throw me in the dungeon! Diamond Tiara silently tried to quell her rising panic. It’s fine. I’ll think of something, I always do.
“My point, Skyla, is that Cadance has no daughter! Right Cadance?” Shining Armor turned to his loving wife.
“.....” Cadance stayed silent, however, staring at the ground.
“Cadance? What’s wrong?” Shining asked. Cadance slowly raised her head, tears flowing as she finally met her husbands eyes.
“I-I’m so sorry, Shiny,” Cadance muttered.
“S-sorry? For what?!” Shining yelled in panic. “Y-you have nothing to be sorry for, right?!”
“Shiny...I lied to you. You...weren’t my first,” Cadance said as she turned away from her husband. “I...when I was a filly, I was...attracted to an older stallion. We had a thing and...I got pregnant.”
... This is conveniant! Diamond Tiara thought to herself, biting down on her lip to keep herself from smiling.
“W-when the filly came, I was scared. I didn’t know what to do, so I…”
“... Gave me up for adoption?” Diamond Tiara asked helpfully with a smile. However, Cadance slowly shook her head, and turned towards Diamond Tiara.
“I-I threw you in a dumpster.” Diamond Tiara’s smile slowly turned into a frown, before her jaw dropped in aghast.
“You did what?!” Shining Armor screamed in horror. “How could you-”
“I was scared!” Cadance cried. “I was scared and so, so stupid! How could I have given up my only child?!” Cadance screamed at herself. “Th-this was twelve years ago…twelve years of regret and sorrow.” Cadance turned towards Diamond Tiara, who was still staring at her in horror.
“Cadance, that’s…” Shining Armor stared at his wife, having great difficulty digesting this new information. He then turned to the little filly. This filly who came and completely destroyed his life. He should hate her, right? And yet the only feelings he held for her was sympathy. A little filly thrown away by her own mother. A little filly, who had the courage to look for her mother, to find her, knowing full well she was abandoned. Why? Shining Armor could tell just by looking into her eyes.
She came all this way because she loved her mother.
I shouldn’t be here, he thought sadly. He slowly trotted to his crying wife, and laid his hoof upon her shoulder. Cadance looked at him with shock, a trembling smile slowly adorning her face. Gently nuzzling her, he let his hoof fall and made his way out of the room. Giving Skyla one more look, he gently brushed her mane before finally leaving.
Now the two of them were alone. Mother and daughter, separated for over a decade. Twelve years of guilt. Twelve years believing she killed her only daughter. Her precious gem. She had never been so happy for being wrong. Here was her daughter, standing in front of her. Alive. So very alive!
“Skyla,” Cadance muttered with quivering lips. She slowly trotted over to the filly, pulling her into a hug. “I-I’m so sorry, Skyla. Can you ever forgive me?” Cadance asked, running her hoof across her foal’s mane. The feeling of Skyla’s body against her own brought her over the edge, tears spilled from her eyes as she craddled her daughter in her hooves for the second, and thankfully not the last, time.
However, ‘Skyla’ remained silent, unable to comprehend what was going on. Only one thought was running through her mind.

“Randolph! Randolph!” Filthy Rich called out. His butler slowly made his way towards him, grunting as he did so.
“Yes, sir?”
“Have you seen Diamond Tiara? I can’t seem to find her,” Filthy asked with concern.
“Oh, Miss Diamond? I do believe she went off to meet with Princess Cadance in the Crystal Empire,” Randolph replied. Filthy Rich sighed sadly, though oddly he didn’t seem shocked.
“I see,” Filthy muttered to himself. To think Diamond Tiara was so cunning as to find out her origins… Seems I’ve given that little filly too little credit, he thought with mild annoyance. “Oh well, the only reason I got that dumpster foal was to make the missus happy,” Filthy said with a shrug. He may have lost a valuable heir to the business, but he gained something in return. He smirked at Randolph, and slowly trotted towards him. “But now that the both of them are gone…” he trailed off as he laid a hoof on Randolph’s shoulder, earning a glance from the butler.
“Shall I retrieve the hot candle wax, sir?”
“Mmm, yes,” Filthy giggled excitedly. It had been far too long since they had some alone time, and he wasn’t about to waste it.
