Unknowns

I awoke on the edge of a town, near the sign. Ponyville. That couldn't be right, this place looked nothing like Ponyville. All the colors were brighter and less dull. Everything around me had a simplistic design that made it look astonishing. I tried to remember how I got here, but all I could remember was Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, Cheerilee, and Star Song calling my name as I saw a flash of blinding white light. I decided not to worry about it much, hoping that they were ok. As I walked into the town, I saw a reflection of myself. I was as simple-looking as the town! I saw a tree with a book sign, hoping that it meant Library.

I pushed the door open, and standing there was 5 very familiar ponies and 5 unrecognizable faces. The purple unicorn walked up to me and asked, "Hello, my name is Twilight Sparkle. And you are?" after a brief moment of mentally gratefulness for civilized ponies, I replied, "I'm Toola Roola" Twilight smiled identified each ponies' names. First was a yellow pegasus with pink hair and a cutie mark consisting of 3 butterflies, whom was very quiet and hardly spoke a word to me, "I'm Fluttershy..." Her voice got softer but I was still able to hear her. The name seemed familiar, but I smiled anyways. "That's a very nice name, Fluttershy." She seemed a little surprised I was able to hear her, but Twilight soon turned me towards the next pony. This one had an orange coat and blonde mane, with 3 apples. Atop her mane was a cowgirl hat. "Howdy there, ahm Applejack." I quickly grew found of her and flashed a smile at her before I got turned to pony after pony. The purple-maned dressmaker, and Applejack's filly sister I didn't recognize, but when I saw the last 5 ponies, I gasped audibly before telling them, "I think I know who you five are." They gave puzzled looks, but I pointed at each of them and said their name as I did so, although the two fillies without cutie marks gave me a bit of a hard time. "Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Cheerilee..er..Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo?" Rainbow, being a pegasus of all things, flew right up to me and asked, "How do you know who we are? Are you a spy?" Soon everypony had gathered around me, making me fell a bit light headed. Add that on top of everything else that happened, I soon fainted.

I awoke to arguing in the next room. I recognized Rainbow's tough voice above all the others. "I'm telling you guys, she's a spy! How else could she know our names?" Twilight's voice spoke up, "I'm sure there's a logical explanation for all of this. And honestly Rainbow, why is it that when ponies know more than they're expected to, you jump to the conclusion that their a spy?" "Because it might be true!" I soon saw Fluttershy walk in. I gestured for her to come over to where I was laying on Twilight's couch. She seemed like she wasn't sure what to do, but at last she did, and I asked her, "Why does she think I'm a spy?" Fluttershy went to quiet mode, "Well, um, I must say it is odd that you know their names. Twilight's suggesting we ask Princess Celestia about this." Princess Celestia was a name I never heard before. I struggled to get up. I looked at the books in the library then found one that might explain what's been happening. It was titled "History Before the Princesses". I skimmed through it then stopped. I looked up at Fluttershy and told her a little too loudly, "According to this, I'm from the past"

The arguing in the other room stopped, then Twilight inched out. "Wh- What did you say?" I repeated myself, "According to this book, I'm from the past." Twilight came over to me and took the book. "I thought your name was familiar. I'd skimmed this book before a test. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. I must've seen the familiar names and forgotten about them. But then, why are you here?" I didn't know how to respond, "I- I don't know. All I remember is them shouting my name right before I was blinded by a white light. And then I woke up on the edge of town." As I was talking I was wondering one thing. Where was Star Song? Realizing that I probably would've seen her by now, I let it go. I felt kind of awkward in the room. Looking around, I realized that this was a huge library. I walked over to a shelf and saw a series of interesting looking books. "Who's Daring Do?" Rainbow soon flew out at bullet speed. "Who's Daring Do? She's the best, the coolest, most awesome hero in all of Equestria! And if you say otherwise, well, I'll make you see reason." I looked at the first book, then looked over at Twilight, who was pouring herself over her book. I decided to give it a try. After about an hour, I totally agreed with Rainbow. Daring Do was the best!

Twilight looked up from her book and over at me. She started speaking to me, and so I marked my place in the book and started listening to her. "Maybe I can help you remember where you're from, then everyone's problems will be solved! But until then, you'll need a place to stay." She thought for a minute then I could see the lightbulb go off in her head. "I have an idea. Toola, if you'll come with me into the next room, I think we can make a bargain." And so I followed her and about half an hour later, we struck up a deal.  "Thanks again Twilight! You guys won't be disapointed!" And so I galloped out, towards the new and improved Ponyville, Daring Do Book 1 in my saddle bag, eagar to keep my end of the deal, starting with meeting the Gala musician, Octavia.
