Its been ten thousand years since humanity landed on the Moon. In that time man has passed through countless trials and tribulations, innumerable governments have risen, peaked, and have fallen as we push into into the universe; limited only by the speed of light and our imagination. Humanity has branched in myriad directions, so much so that what we would call human is swiftly becoming little more than a memory. God-like artificial intelligences, known as Archailects, rule over vast interstellar empires, looming over us like we would an anthill. Life in the polities ruled over by these Archailects is idyllic by any definition of the word where want, disease, poverty, and even social standing are a matter of choice rather than circumstance.

Yet, for some, this is not enough. These individuals race towards the edges of explored space, the Periphery. Whether for wealth, adventure or fear they race away from the Terragen Sphere at almost the speed of light.

This is where this story begins, when a small group of adventures finds a strange, inexpiable world and opens the universe up to its inhabitants… Whether they like it or not.

This is an adventure into a possible future for humanity, told from the perspective of our favorite little ponies after their first contact and follows their journey into the unknown as they try to find a place in a universe they can barely understand.

The future isn't here yet. But don't worry. It will be.

Based on the "Orion's Arm" world building group.
