Chapter 1 Tempers
Many years ago.
A young Pegasus stood at the entrance to the office throne room wondering what was going to happen to her. Only hours before she was stinging in her classroom listening to music on her haypod. Her muzzle was bobbing her head as she started to singing along to it”I’m not the only pony that doesn't want to be a princess , a princess, a princess do in ded.” Thought at the time the young filly didn't notice that the rest of her class was watching her singing along to the song.
A cough came around the room a moment after she stopped singing
“MISS LIVE WING!!!” someone screamed loudly finally getting the you Pegasus to take of her head set.
“What do you think you are doing! You know very well you are not allowed to sing in this school.This school is for guard training not for performing. Your adopted parents would not be happy for you slacking young filly.”
Live Wing looked down at the desk as the teacher continued to scream at her for once again for her singing or even playing video games or drawing in her note book with her wings.
Things had always been that way since the day she was brought from the Cloud Valley Orphanage at the age of five by Princess Cestai and then that evening brought to Canterlot to live with well known couple Lady Lace Mane a well known fashion designer that stuck to the old school style of Canterlot and her husband Page Turner who was Celestia right hand stallion as an adviser.
The day Live Wing was told she was being adopted as well as being taken to Canterlot to live with a new family was the happiest day of her life. She squealed as so as Celestia said that and replied “You mean it. Someone actually wants me.” the young filly said with a smiled happily as she started hopping up and down on her hooves around the princess. “Wait….” she looked over at the princess for a moment trying her best not to fall on her muzzle from the moment she stooped jumping and continued to talk,”Why are you hear my lady? Why didn't they come get me themselves.” she asked as her ears went down sadly thinking she wasn't good enough for them to come all this way just to meet her themselves.
Tears started to fall down her face as she slowly moved her head down looking at the cloud street. “Am i not what they really want. do they not really wanting me. Do they not want to come to this town to come get me. “
Celestia looked down at the young filly. “You young filly born with brown fur and a dark brown main and wings. It is not you.” slowly celestia put her left front hoof on Live Wings back .”They...They are friend of your departed parents sadly they don't have the magical powers to be able to walk on clouds or create temporary wings. So they asked me to come instead. They seemed to think that me coming would make things better for such a wonderful filly like you they welcome you lovingly into their home at my castle.” she said as she tilted her head smiling.The rainbow like sky main draped over Live Wings muzzle making it hard for her not to start a sneeze at any moment.
What Princess Celestia said confused the young filly, what did she mean by they did not have the powers to come. She let out a soft sigh as some of her some of her breath come from her snout, “What do you mean they can’t come?”
Celestia looked back at the Pegasus guard that looked closed to what Live Wing knew was a of the former member of the wonderbolts and smiled, “Please tell the others that there will be needing another chareto for this young fillies things and please do not delay Captain Lighting Star we need to be at the Castle to meet them before the evening.”
The stallion nodded as he opened his winging the suddenly disappeared into the clouds .
Live Wings eyes went hide as she watched him fly of “Amazing.”
Celestia smiled seeing the filly smile. “There now are you ready to getting going?” she said pulling her hoof away from Live Wings head and started to turn her body to the twoard the towns port. “We should start our way to the port.” she said looking over at Live Wing.
Live wing nodded happily as she hored they would finally be leaving this hatefull town she was left in. “YES!!!” she screamed happily unaware that she had screamed at all.
Live wing muttered back in the present "I can't wait"
“LIVE WING, come on its time to go to our next class” a voice came from outside of Live Wings memories.
“Ugh," live wing placed her wing over her eyes and started to rub them,”What.?” she looked over at the earth pony that was trying to wake her up from the regret nap Live Wing was doing. “What do you want.. Stary “ she said pulled her head off the desk trying her best to let her eyes focus to the light again.
The earth pony known as Stary Rock rolled her eyes and looked over at the coal board “The teacher said the next period we won't be going to class. We will be going to meet our senior commanders. I thought you should know sister, since the last time you sleep through class Shinning Armor doesn't like you to be late. "
Live wing rolled her deep brown eyes at her sister, "I stop caring the moment I got hear sis . They cant't do anything to me."
Live Wing had only lived with her new family for two years now and still didn't fell at home even to a ten year old filly. She could often hear about how the couple didn't want to put her in the academy but knew they had no chose but to make her go.
"If they did care about us they would sign us up for the real school with every other pony but no where hear!!" she screamed slamming her small hoof down on the white marble floor.
Many of there classmates looked over at her wondering what had made her snap like that for a moment .
Stary looked over at Live Wing,"You need to clam down Live Wing before a teacher sees."
Live Wing nodded to her sister putting her head down to the floor felling ashamed of screaming in front of every pony in the elementary division of the school as well as the teachers. She was surprised the moment she looked around that she wasn't be tolled off.
"Looks like the little adopted pony cant handle it in the big city." they said laughing at her as she and Stary Rock walked past the to fillies that where laughing at her. Her wings foiled as she could hear them and tears went down her face as she and Stary walked to the end of the elementary division to the high school mares and stallions where.
"You going to be okay?" star asked her sister.
Live wing nodded as she pushed the door of the entrance of the high school hall way. "I'm fine. I just hope there wont be anything bad today." she said looking over at her sister. As they walked threw the halls there voices where covered by the laughs of the much taller and sharper ponies of the high school class.
"Don't worry Live it wont be this bad today." her sister said smiling as looked around at the high school ponies and how different they where.
Live wing didn't want to look just keep moving on to the class room. Her ears just stayed down to try to stop from whatever the other ponies where saying from coming to her. She knew what they where going to say blank flank . pathetic ,worthless, waist of space. She knew there older one where cruel begins ,but she didn't want her sister to realize that they where though. She smiled at Stray trying her best to make sure she could not see the tears falling down her face as they opened to door to the guards meeting room where the older students where waiting.
What happened next was something Live Wing would be regretting tell she would be a high school mare herself.
Live Wing was still quite when they got to the entrance of the guard room. "Live?" Star looked over at Live Wing Wondering what she was thinking what could be wrong this time. Then she noticed Live was looking at the studio across from the the training room. The singing and music coming from them always made Live drift out of though and away from talking to her sister.
As the music finely stopped Live looked over at Stary "Yeah?"
Stary looked at her with a worried face, "Are you okay? You always seem to go in a daze ever time we come past the high schools music department? It seems you know what you want but you're not going after is."
As soon as she horde what her sister said she let out a sigh, "Your right but.."
"Excuses me." A voice said stooping Live Wing from finish what she was going to tell her sister, "Maggots. You seem to be late again." the tone was only one stallion that Live would of known of.
Live Wing started to mutter "Sorry...Shining.." she said looking down at the floor as the sound of his hooves went past them.
"Well hurry up and Live Wing stop looking over at the music room every day. Your scaring the ponies that go into the class. If they keep coming to me complaining I'll just got to the teacher."
She nodded with her head still low to the ground , "Yes sir," thought something didn't fell right when she said it.
Stary started to walk her sister heading into the class room.
Live Wing knew it was time to stop letting her adopted parents and the world tell her what to do, She let out a loud scream , "NO!! NO MORE. I'M DONE SHINING ARMORER. I REFUSES TO BE IN THIS CLASS I REFUSE TO FALLOW WHAT YOU ALL WANT I'M DONE!!" She turned around starting to walk to the anger but happy with herself that she had finally said that.
Shining stop when he horde her scream and smiled thought no one else could see it.
Live Wing looked over as soon as she had reached the other side of the hall way. There coming behind her was a pair of guards."Can I help you?" she asked looking at there shiny amour and the hair sticking out of the helmets.
A loud cough came for one of the two guards. "Miss Live Wing ... You need to come with us please to the office. Your out burst cause trouble."
Lovely...Live wing thought to herself. She let out off a soft sigh and nodded, "Yes sir."
The guard didn't smile but it seemed that they seemed to be in relief she didn't start do anything would make them restrain her in anyway.
An hour later at the office. Live Wing sat on a bench listing to her adopted mother and the principal talk about something.
"Lance Mane, your daughter well. She's always cutting up in her training classes. We all know this wasn't our plane or yours. It was your sisters and Live Wings birth mother Rose Blade, we understand her will quite well," the principal stooped for a moment and sighed trying to figure out what the best way to say it would be, "But Shining doesn't want to deal with her no one dose quite hostelry. Her cutie mark hasn't apperd and well the music teacher has walked past her class room and believes it would be better if she was part of the preforming art elementary division instead. He thinks with the guard classes she will never realize her true talent."
Lance Mane nodded agreeing with the stallion,"Then we shale do that." she said as she slowly placed her hoofs on the ground ."For now I will take her home and let her cool down. Please tell Shining that I am sorry for her out burst. I will comeback for the other girls after we talk to Live Wing at home" she said as her horn glowed bright purple. As she did so the door nob started to have the same purple glow and turned making the door open.
Live Wing looked over at the door seeing Lance Mane walk out. She did she an expression on Lances face so she didn't know what to make of it. "Am...I" she muttered under her breath.
"We will talk about this at home." Lance said walking past the bench then stopped and slowly turned her head towards Live,"Come on."
Live nodded and jumped off the bench and walked to her mother what had happened in there but didn't make anything of it at that moment she just prayed to the sun princess that she didn't get expelled from the school.
