Goblins. Everyone hates them, from the stupidest ogre to the craftiest elf.  Like sand the get everywhere, unlike sand, they burn EVERYTHING. Thomas stood at the north gate and could only look awestruck as the goblins made a body ramp over the wall. "Well, I knew it couldn't be this easy". He tried to think of a way to stop the goblins, or stall them in order to get a better idea in order to get out of the city. Thomas looked at the stars, his eyes now a bright blue as he tried to read the stars to bind ethereal power to his will. He found one that may work, but it would also leave him open if it failed. The goblins had climbed through the well and formed their own body ramp, allowing even more goblins to come through. "one shot, is all it takes." Thomas spoke as he looked to the heavens once more, magic flowed into him as he shouted "HOT" and sent a fire ball which exploded the body ramp on the inside of the wall. This, however, did nothing to the other side. Thomas now had to deal with over  a hundred goblins in bronze armor, and who where most likely very pissed, and more where coming. "Spirits preserve me" Thomas spoke as the goblins charged, suddenly, a voice spoke out of the darkness," STOP!" Thomas went rigid, and green fire surrounded him, suddenly he was not on the cobblestone path in front of the north gate, but on a hill outside Khare, and in front of him stood a shadowy figure. Thomas stood up and eyed the figure carefully , "On one end I should thank you, on the other I feel you didn't save me out of kindness." The figure straightened "I am Lorag, once seventh noble of Khare, and you" pointing to Thomas "must find the spell lines for me and prevent the destruction of the city I helped create." Thomas stared "Why? I mean, thanks with the goblins, but Analand is in dire need of me to finish my quest before the entirety  of Khakabad falls." Lorag looked to the sky, sighed and shouted suddenly shouted ZIP!, and appeared in front of Thomas, he spoke in a growl more than a voice "you leave Khare to burn, and I will make sure the spirits never hear your plea's again!" Thomas froze, and for a moment he felt the spirits leave hm, and a void filled his heart, only to be quickly filled again. "I can make that permanent: Lorag said half with mischief , half with menace. Thomas gave a shrug of defeat "Fine, but how do you expect me to find a way to save Khare?" Lorag smiled and looked to the stars, only to be hit by a arrow and screaming EQU. Thomas looked at Lorag,"What is this su" Thomas was cut off by a sudden tearing feeling all around him, magic energies he never felt before threatened to rip him out of reality, it felt like a really bad teleportation spell that was trying to send him somewhere that didn't exist.Instead of early failing however, the spell wanted to see him to his destination. Once more Thomas' surroundings where different, no more was the stench of distnt smoke and the road to Khare, but instead a colorful flower field in a place Thomas did not recognize. He scanned his immediate area only to find a distant forest and what appeared to be a village. "well, lets hope they have a warm bed and plenty of ale" Thomas sighed, checked his gear over, and set off towards the welcoming glow of the distant village.
