Jordan snarled at the passing guard who tempted him to break lose, but he had received this treatment before as a child, this was no different. He COULD easily break the gate, but for what? To be killed by the hundreds of guards waiting to kill him? He was weaponless and had only rags for clothes, and they were prepared for an army at all times. He was bored, not suicidal.
He waited, for Sithis rewarded the patient. He felt himself lose conciseness as he entered a corner of the Void…
“At last I meet my most unique Listener,” said a dark voice that seemed to come from everywhere at once.
“Father!” Jordan said as he quickly made an awkward bow.
“There is no need for formalities my son. Now please, stand and listen,” said Sithis.
“Have I been assassinated?” asked Jordan, with hints of both pleasure and fear in his voice.
“No, you are still alive,” said Sithis, annoyed at the question. “Now listen, you will have a portal in your cell to your supplies. Do what you can to escape and follow your brothers to the south. You will be transformed into a unicorn as your brothers have. Find them and attempt to assassinate them with absolute subtlety. If you fail, fear not, for you and them will have an intertwined destiny to stop evils soon to awaken.”
“It will all unwind soon enough my child. Now go, and I shall watch over you.”
Jordan awoke and saw a portal in the room. He smiled to himself and walked to it.
‘This will be entertaining,’ he thought to himself.
Wow, I didn’t plan on THIS element in my story, but it works. Hope you like and like I said, if you have any ideas on how to make this story entertaining just let me know and I will consider and most likely add the element to it. Keep peace goin!
