"oh Spike darling, i could never thank you enough for your help, it would have been impossible for me to carry all those heavy fabrics myself in only one travel" Rarity disse trotting in direction of her shop with Spike coming behind her with a giant pile of multicolor fabrics on his back... "oh Rarity...it was my pleasure..." Spike said suffocating his stress, thinking at Rarity's happiness once he was done... "however Rarity, why did you need all those stitching materials anyways?" Spike asked "Oh darling didn't i tell you? it's for my new Rainbow collection" Rarity explained "and i'm sure that it will be my greatest job...for now" she said smiling and closing her eyes... "oh cool, and may i ask what makes it so special?" Spike asked to her crush... "well i decided to apply to the dresses my latest discovery: Rainbow Gems" Rarity said making Spike getting exited all in a time... "RAINBOW GEMS?! you kidding Rarity? they are the tastiest, rarest, most refined gems of the entire Equestria!" Spike exclaimed "yes my darling and they are going to adorn my next collection, i keep them hidden safely into a strongbox at my home and...since you helped me so much..." Rarity said coming near Spike "yeah?" Spike said understanding what she was going to tell him... "and since you are such a sweetheart with me..." Rarity continued "yeah?" Spike said with a big smile coming on his face... "i decided that the biggest Rainbow gem i found will be your prize" Rarity finished Spike felt like he was about to brust in joy, he was going to taste a Rainbow Gem for the first time in his life and also that gem came from Rarity, his beloved Pony was going to give him one of the most precious and most delicious gems of the entire world... "today nothing can go wrong..." Spike said awaiting eagerly to arrive at the carousel boutique with Rarity...too bad that he was wrong... Upon arrival however Rarity and Spike noticed that something wasn't really right... "oh my...what is this stench!?" Rarity said covering her nose and closing her teary eyes "i don't know but...it's actually kind of familiar" Spike said looking around and sniffing the air "sulphur, methane and magma?" Spike asked to himself, questioning if he smelt right... After some time Spike remembered where he smelt that same odor... "oh no..." Spike said beginning to sweat Spike understood immediately what was happening, he tried to hope that he was wrong, but in the end the footsteps of adolescent dragon's feet convinced him... "OH! sweet Celestia please tell me it's not them!" Spike yelled going quickly into the shop just to find his old dragon "friends" feasting on Rarity's gems... "you! what are you doing here!?" Spike asked angrily to Garble and his friends... "oh look who's here, how small the world is Spike, whose that? the namby pamby pony that adopted you?" Garble asked in a mocking tone "none of your business Garble! now out of here!" Spike said "ahahahhahahah, why don't you come here and make me?" Garble asked smiling sinisterly to Spike Spike began to sweat again, he wasn't prepared for such thing, but in the end he swelled his chest and prepared to fire on Garble... However everything that came out of his mouth was a little spark... The three dragons in Rarity's shop began to laugh at him... "ah! is that everything you got Spikey wimpey?" Garble asked chewing a big diamond between his teeth... "HOW dare you savages come here without permission, eat my most valuable gems and mock my dear Spike! leave my shop NOW!" Rarity brusted in enraged by the Dragon's behavior... "oh my, what a temper guys, let's move before she gets really angry, her wrath must be just as powerful as how white she is..." Garble said leaving the shop with the other dragons following him... "well it was easy" Rarity said "yeah...a little too easy..." Spike said "oh my! look at this disaster" Rarity said looking at her broken fornitures "and they left their horrible dragonic stench allover the place" she said closing her nose hurrying to get a deodorant... "i can't believe they found this place, i just hope that they won't come back anytime soon..." Spike said angrily... "oh don't worry about it darling, for now please help me to clean up this mess..." Rarity said diffusing the deodorant around... "oh of course Rarity" Spike said grabbing another canister of deodorant and spreading it around "Spike i'm sorry but i'm afraid i'll be forced to give you your prize late........" in that moment something snapped into Rarity's mind "THE RAINBOW GEMS!!!!" she yelled galloping up into her room, only to find her precious strongbox completely molten and depleted, a sight that made her cry... Spike then looked trough the window and saw Garble and his dragon friends laughing their tails off while holding the rainbow gems in their claws, while mocking them from the distance... "those brutes stole my beautiful rainbow gems!!!!" she said rolling on the floor crying like a fountain "oh Rarity...i'm sorry i wasn't strong enough to send them away myself" Spike said sadly looking at them flying away... "my darling, don't worry...it's not your fault if those dragons stole my prized stones and destroyed my shop...i still appreciate that you tried to stand up to them" Rarity said sobbing... Spike in that moment looked at her and assumed a serious expression... "Rarity my beloved Pony i promise you i'll take back what's yours from those dragons...i promise it!" Spike said clenching his teeth. Upgrades and incoming surprises...Spike ran quickly to the golden oaks library and began to prepare supplies for his travel to the badlands, where Garble and his friends were probably heading to... "okay, let's get started, i need to be quick, the more I wait the more they could have eaten those Rainbow gems..." Spike was saying to himself preparing his bag... After some minutes he got all the stuff he needed, he knew that he wasn't going to stay out for a lot of time but still the travel would have been pretty long... His bag was then filled with two sandwiches with veggie and gem dust as filling, a bottle of apple gassosa and a thermos of tea... "okay i'm ready to go now" Spike said finishing to pack up... In that moment however Twilight came down the stairs and noticed her little friend Spike while he was putting the bag on his shoulders... "Spike? what are you doing?" The purple alicorn asked to her little dragon "oh hi there Twilight, i was preparing some supplies for an important travel i have to do" Spike said "an important travel? what are you talking about?" Twilight asked a little worried "yeah, Garble and his friends somehow found ponyville, raided Rarity's shop and ate a lot of her gems, besides stealing some extremely rare ones, that i intend to retrive" Spike said shocking a little Twilight "you mean...? Spike you can't go on a travel like this by yourself, if those dragons caught you they would tear you apart" She said worriedly "i know Twilight, but i'm taking the risk, i have to get back Rarity's gems, she needed them for an extremely important line she was projecting and i'm not going to let it fail because of those jerks..." Spike said with his expression darkening... "mmmh at least let me come with you, i could help you with some new spells Celestia gave me..." Twilight said "well i know they could come in handy, but i'd feel better if you went to visit Rarity, she was in tears when i left the shop, and i think that your company will make her feel better" Spike said to Rarity "are you really sure you want to go on this travel alone?" Twilight asked "yes i'm sure Twilight, Rarity needs you all more than ever right now and i'm confident i can get the gems back...for Rarity" Spike said "if that's so, lemme at least cast a spell on your teleporting fire to upgrade it at a new level" Twilight explained "upgrade it?" Spike asked "yeah upgrade it Spike, passing it to another level, and by it i mean that this spell will allow you to not only teleport paper, but also to teleport living things and objects wherever you see fit" Twilight explained "cool would i be able to teleport myself too?" Spike asked "actually yeah you could, you would just need to fire at yourself" Twilight explained "seems it will be useful...go ahead whenever you want Twilight" Spike said opening his arms... "okay but be careful Spike, it will work only 3 times then your breathe will be normal again" Twilight finished "okay i'm ready Twilight" Spike said preparing Twilight's horn began to glow bright and then a sphere of fire orbited towards Spike engulfing him... Spike felt his throat burn for a second and then it came back to normal "okay, so i guess it's done right?" Spike asked "yeah Spike, now you can use your teleporting fire" the purple alicorn said "really thank you Twilight" Spike said heading towards the door "i'll try to be back as soon as i'll be able to" Spike said opening it "be careful Spike" Twilight said in the end as her little friend left the home... "now to the badlands" Spike said running around the town when something popped in his mind "mmmh i'll need a transport mean to arrive there..." Spike said looking around "that's perfect!" he said spotting an hot air balloon. "let's hope i'll make it in time" Spike said paying the price for it and then taking off... Meanwhile Garble and his friends were flying back to their homes carrying Rarity's rainbow gems inside some haversacks... "that was one heck of a raid, i never ate that much!" an white dragon said "yeah, it reminded me of the mega gem devouring party of two years ago, only that this time it was in a fancy place" the brown overweight dragon said burping "and they were all so clean and polished, you don't get so good ones near a volcano" "right, and we even saw Spikey Wimpey again" a purple dragon said "yeah, do you think that pony all polish and whitening was Spike's adoptive mom?" another dragon asked "if he was that explains why he is such a wimp, i think that if he clipped a claw he'd explode in tears! ahaahhhhahahahh" a purple dragon said "we totally need to come back there one of these days..." one of them said with a devious smile "yeah guys, but we need to be careful there, Spike could be a problem..." Garble said looking serious shocking everyone for a second... "he could write a letter to his namby pamby pony princess!!!!!!" he said making everyone explode in laughters... However between their laughters the group of dragons couldn't advert something that was following them, sneaking inside the forest under them, watching them carefully with hungry eyes and licking its chomps... Twilight was worried for her little dragon assistant and friend, but also she was feeling terrible for poor Rarity who was still crying in her shop... The white unicorn was stretched on the couch versing liters of tears allover her shop, making Twilight struggle to keep the "flood" under control, and at the same time trying to confort her friend... "oh Twilight, the line i would have made out of those gems would have been the most glamour and beautiful masterpiece in my life...and now i can't realize it because a bunch of dirty and dumb dragons stole them!!!!" the unicorn was keep saying "Rarity please calm down, i'm sure that you'll find new ones..." Twilight tried to say "how can you be so naive Twilight...those gems were practically unique, the rarest gems of all Equestria, it took months of digging and scavenging to find them....i'll be able to find them again in my next life maybe!!!!" she said crying even more "oh my..." Twilight said seeing how bad her friend was feeling, so she began to dry her face with a napkin... "if it makes you feel better Spike is already traveling to the badlands to get them back..." Twilight said "what!? you really let him go?" Rarity asked shocked "well yeah...but i upgraded his..." Twilight began to explain "OH NO!!! not my little Spikey wikey!" she said crying even louder "Rarity please stay calm, i upgraded his fire, now he can teleport everything including himself, those dragons won't even see him coming" Twilight explained "but what if it failed?! oh my poor Spike..." Rarity said even more desperate In that moment Twilight looked at the window and at the sun... "Spike please come back soon" Twilight said worried for him... Meanwhile Spike was still on his hot air ballon looking at where he was going... "okay i'm just on route...soon i'll reach the area where the phoenixes make their nests..." Spike said rethinking about the events of that place, until his stomach began to grumble... "mmmh maybe some snack will be helpful" he said taking out one of his sandwiches from the bag and beginning to eat it slowly "mmmh rubin Dust...soo good" he said tasting it After some time he finished the sandwich and drank a little cup of tea...ending everything with a burp "ah i really needed it, now by the time i'll reach the volcanoes it will already be energy for my body" he said going in punching position "Garble won't even see me coming!!!" he said thinking about him attacking Garble and beating him... "actually...i really need a plan...i can't engage directly in a fight, they would use my claws as toothpicks after dipping me into the lava..." Spike said thinking about a good plan... "brrrrr...no definately better if i sneak trough them, reach the gems and then teleport myself away before they can notice i'm there, this should do the trick..." Spike said looking at the sun which was descending... "better if i hurry up, i need to get there before sunset" Spike said pulling the controls of the ballon... In that moment however the badlands were filled with young dragons celebrating the success of their raids and showing off their loots all stored into big mounds, the biggest one belonged to Garble's gang with the Rainbow gems topping it... All around the dragons were playing tail-wrestling, having burping contests and making dives into the lava pits, usual things for most of the teenage dragons... Some of them were also talking about their raids and about others, especially Garble who, for obtaining the Rainbow gems was the celebrity of the night... Garble's gang was talking with others inside a large lava pit... "so we stormed into her shop and then we began to eat all the gems we found, Garble then looking upstairs found this big strongbox, we melt it down and we found the Rainbow gems! talk about luck" the brown overweight dragon said laughing "yeah, we even found that loser of Spike back there ahahahhahahahahah, always at the pony's leash!" a purple dragon said laughing "ahahahahhahahha, even if that pony was kind of cute actually..." the white dragon said "so now you like horses? ahahahahhah why now? you finally gave up on finding a dragoness who'd want to be your mate! ahahahahahhahahahahahhahahah" another dragon taunted him... "take that back immediately if you don't want to sink my claws into your sorry tail!" the dragon snarled "oh how about you force me to do so eh? horse lover?" the dragon said enraging even more the other dragon... "okay, say bye bye to your tail!" the white dragon said pouncing him and beginning a fight into the lava pit... "FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!!" all the dragons around were saying while the two where massacrating themselves In the end the dragon who taunted the white one was defeated... "ah ah! suck my tail loser!" he said flying away from him After that little fight everything continued as normal until Garble thrown a challenge to all of the dragons... "hey guys, i bet you want these gems too?" he asked showing the Rainbow gems from the top of his hoard... All the dragons began to chant and cheer... "well be happy, whoever defeats me gets them! let's go with KING OF THE HOARD!!!" Garble roared making fire and flames come out of his mouth The dragons immediately launched themselves to the assault, climbing the pile of gems to reach Garble on the top, but both Garble and most of the others kind of played dirty, practically none was reaching the top... At a certain moment however everyone stopped looking petrified by something fearsome...everyone except Garble "what's up guys? you can't cope with a little challenge?" Garble taunted them not imagining what was going to happen... Everyone then panicked and ran into their dens... "what? come on is there anyone who can take me out?" Garble asked... "mmmh i think i could..." a deep strong and menacing voice said from behind Garble Garble in that time noticed a shadow that completely covered him and a big portion of the place... The red dragon gulped and began to turn, until his eyes met the eyes of something that made his blood become ice... "hi there snack, you too preparing for dinner?" the creature said licking it's chops looking at Garble in the same way a dragon would have watched a gem before eating it... Garble began to sweat, clench his teeth and to tremble while his legs assumed an X position... "you know i think i just spotted my main course!" the creature said coiling Garble... "ahhhh! no wait!!! not me!!!!!!!!!!" the red teenage dragon yelled once trapped by the creature... Garble's pain trainSpike landed quite near the phoenix's grove and tied his hot air ballon to a tree. "okay here i am...now let's go" he said beginning to cross the forest. In a moment he felt something on his head: it was his little phoenix friend. "oh hi there, so long, how are you?" the little dragon asked to the little phoenix. However everything the little phoenix did was wimping and emitting a crying sound. "hey hey what's wrong little guy?" Spike asked worried The little phoenix so pointed at a part of the grove which was completely destroyed "OH MY! who did this? the dragons?" Spike asked even more worried The phoenix chick shook his head and pointed to the tracks left by what destroyed the trees, all leading to the volcanoes... "oh my...but if it wasn't a dragon...what could have been?" Spike asked to himself In that moment Spike heard someone yelling exactly from the volcanoes... "HELP! PLEASE HELP ME!!! I DON'T WANT TO BECOME A SNACK!" a young dragon was yelling desperately Spike recognized the voice almost immediately... "Garble? what the heck it's going on?" Spike asked to himself... After locating a safe enough tree Spike deposed his little phoenix friend on a branch from which his parents would have been able to spot him, then he ran towards the volcano and after a little climbing he found himself at the edge of the crater... "okay from here i should be able to see...FOR CELESTIA!!!" Spike yelled as he saw the towering creature at the center of the crater... "what in Equestria is that thing?" Spike asked to himself... The creature was an enormous serpent, even larger than a full grown dragon, with smooth shining scales, dragon like wings and fearsome teeth coming out of his mouth... Spike was frightened but something caught his attention of it mostly: the creature was holding Garble in the spires of his tail... "now morsel, you know it doesn't happen all the time to find such a delicacy as a teenage dragon, i really want to memore this, how about we play a game?" the serpent asked with a devious look in its eyes "no...wait! please...not me! i taste terrible and i'm not very good at playing!!!!!! SOMEONE HELP!!!!" Garble was keep yelling "okay round one..." the serpent said beginning to thrown Garble back and front allover the crater making him leave marks allover the place... "Pain........." Garble said as the serpent lifted him again... "pain? how so? we just got started!" the serpent said making Garble gulp... After that Garble began to wish he was born without capacity of feeling pain... "NO! not the wing breaker!!! ahh!!, not the lava swirlie! please not the dragon boiler...no wait...NO! not the tailtwister...classic, reverse, with the magma, NO! ANYTHING BUT THE EVERFREEEEEEEE TWISTER!!!!!!!!!!" Garble was yelling from the creature's clucthes... "sweet Celestia and Luna...." Spike said looking at what was happening before him... ...the poor red dragon was covered in scratches and bruises, had tears at the corners of his eyes and his tail and wings didn't look very well...in the end the creature throw it's prey at the ground and unceremoniously spat some green goo on him.... Spike was horrified, Garble was a jerk yes, but no creature deserved such a torture and he knew he had to do something before it was too late... "well i think it was enough, how about some grub now? you mind?" The creature said coiling Garble again and bringing him to its mouth... "ohhhh man....." was everything Garble was able to say looking at the multiple lined teeth ready to grind him... Garble was almost better off dead when... "HEY YOU!" a young by the sound voice yelled recalling the attention of every dragon and of the serpent...it was Spike... "why don't you pick on something your own size!" Spike said raising his clawed fist... The serpent kept Garble in his spires but prepared to add something else to the dinner... "good another morsel!" the Serpent said preparing to attack Spike... Spike got in pouncing position, and arched his back... As the serpent was about to tackle him with his mouth the young dragon jumped on it's muzzle, and climbed him until reaching it's back "okay let's slide!!" Spike said launching himself on the serpent's back and sliding trough it... "and where do you think you are going?" The serpent asked trying to bite Spike while he was sliding.... After a few tentative Spike thought he needed a diversion and so something snapped inside him... He suddenly stopped and hidden something behind his back... "hey scaly! come and get me!" Spike taunted him "prepare to meet my stomach!" the serpent said charging towards the young dragon...too bad for him that before it could have got Spike the little dragon used his teleporting fire and transported him somewhere near the serpents tail but not before he opened the bottle of gassosa right in the eyes of the creature... "ahhhhh!!! it burns!!!!!!!!!" the creature said rubbing its face on some porous rocks... Spike got advantage of the situation and tried to free Garble "hey Garble if you are still here, give me a claw..." Spike yelled to the teenage dragon trying to free him from the serpents grasp... "Spike? what the heck are you doing here!? do you want to be eaten, do you have any idea of what this is?!" Garble asked shocked by his presence.... "i don't know, i don't care, now unless you want to become a snack for real, help me!" Spike said "mmmh grrrrh...mmph" Garble was gruting trying to enlarge his wings and get some more space to fly away... For a moment it seemed that it worked as the serpent let go of Garble for one moment, but right after that the serpent coiled him again capturing also Spike in it's grasp... The creature than hauled the two dragons in the air and prepared to eat them... "good job Spike now i'm going to be your stomach mate until it digests us completely..." Garble said glaring at Spike Spike had his teeth clenched...he had to do something! and quickly or they both would have became the serpent's dinner... Spike's attackSpike saw the jaws and the throat of the creature closing in on them faster and faster and Garble's desperate yelling wasn't of any help, at first sight there was nothing that could have saved them, however... Spike Remembered that Twilight didn't mention limits of the power of the teleporting spell and that made an idea snap into his mind... "i got this!" Spike said beginning to swell his chest taking air from around... He firmly kept in mind a precise location and then he released a huge fireball that engulfed completely the creature making it disappear, leaving him and Garble to fall inside an underneath lava pool, producing one of the biggest lava splashes ever seen... All the dragons gathered around to see how the two of them were doing, and if anybody died in the impact... Garble exited from the pool of lava panting for air and rubbing his injured tail and wing... "Hey Garble are you alright? how did the two of you take out that serpent!?" one of the dragons asked "where is it?" a dragoness asked curiously "how did you save your tails?" another dragon asked "that fireball was sick! who of you two shot it??" somedragon else asked... "hey where is Spike?" another dragon asked Garble in that moment felt something underneath him struggling for air... He then fished inside the pond with his claw until he got something... "Gotcha" Garble said taking Spike out of the molten rock... Spike got a deep breathe and then spit out the molten rock he swallowed, just to realize that the last thing he wanted to happen just happened...he was completely surrounded by packs of teenage dragons and his head was right between Garble's crimson claws! Spike gulped, curled up his tail and began to sweat again... "hem...give me the gems and...no...dragon gets hurt?" Spike said nervously giggling at his own Joke "Spike do you have any idea of what you just did?" another teenage dragon asked. "you know what you just fought!?" a dragoness asked "well no and i didn't have anything to do with it...i just wanted the gems back..." Spike said "lemme enlighten you Spikey, that was a winged serpent" Garble explained "a winged what?" Spike asked "a winged serpent, alias the only known predator of us dragons, in other words the ones of its kind have the ones of our kind as meal!" Garble explained further "oh..." Spike said gulping "even an adult dragon would have peed himself before something like that!" another dragon said "yeah when they catch you they play with you until you are soft and then they chew you until you are a powder of bones and pain!" somedragon else said "oh...well...i never met one before...and i'm glad i never did..." Spike said "i must say Spike i'm impressed, for a little dragon raised by the ponies that was pretty tough, you took it out with only one blast" Garble said to Spike "hem actually i didn't actually took it out, i just teleported him away using my improved fire" Spike explained "where did you send it dude?" a dragon asked Spike's face assumed a devious smile... In that precise moment in the countryside of Manehattan Suri Polimare was showing off her new line of dresses in her own countryside mansion... The line was called "dragonic Skin" which was made of a material similar to the skin of the dragons and with a peculiar iridescence... "As you see this original if not unique line, uses a new kind of cloth that reproduces exactly the colors and the durability of the dragon skin, beautiful and useful at it's highest levels" Suri was saying posing in one of her dresses personally... However as she was at the top of the catwalk something gigantic fell from the sky right in front of her...: it was the serpent... "hem do you have an invitation?" the mare asked The serpent was terribly dazed by the hard landing and the teleport, so everything he was able to see were the colors of the dress that Suri was wearing... "hem...is there a problem?" she asked worried by the serpent's growls... The serpent began to lick it's chomps and looked at Suri making her intend what he wanted... The mare then escaped yelling in fear followed by the serpent...as well as all of her guests... "where it's supposed to be..." Spike said in the end...beginning to get worried by the looks of all the dragons that surrounded him... "okay Spike, anyway now that you are here you know what happens to you...." Garble said looking at him smiling in a scary way "wait! no please! doooooon't!!!" Spike yelled as Garble raised his clawed fist... Spike's rewardSpike shut his eyes tightly and clenched his teeth expecting the "eternal reward" from Garble, however soon enough he understood that his worry wasn't necessary... "ow ow ouch...give it a rest Garble!" Spike said trying to escape the dragon's claws "what you took down a giant dragon eating reptile and you can't deal with a small dragon like me?" Garble said keeping noogieing him...while the other dragons kept cheering for him screaming his name "SPIKE! SPIKE! SPIKE! SPIKE!" they were yelling all around him Also Spike was able to hear what the dragons closer to him were saying... "you were on fire! literally!" a dragon said "YES!!! even a full grown dragon would have lost piece in a fight like that" a dragoness said "how did you get that sick magic fire? is it the work of a pony?" another dragon asked "right how did you fire that ball? i mean it was even bigger than yourself!" another one said "can you teach me? i know a lot of cute dragonesses, i could introduce one of them to you" another dragon said blinking Spike kept his guard relatively high, he knew he saved Garble's life and probably the one of every other dragon around him, but still he knew that Garble and his friends could have changed their attitudes towards in the fraction of a second, plus he didn't expect the events to take that turn... "well Spike, i think i kind of misjudged you, challenging that serpent and beat him was like crushing an infinity of eggs" Garble said to Spike "well even if i don't...like you...i couldn't have let that thing eat you that way, and by the way i hope that it didn't injure your wings and your tail seriously" Spike answered "ah don't worry we dragons are tough, those scratches will regenerate soon, we are not like those namby pamby......." Garble paused for a second as Spike glared at him.... "well...you know what i meant Spike" Garble went ahead "mph okay Garble...however please give me back the gems you stolen and we can call all of this an even" Spike said in the end "mmh i kind of wanted them as main course of tonights feast, but you pretty much earned them" Garble said making Spike smile "and, i don't know if its because of the multiple concussions, i feel kind of generous tonight, so generous that i'll add something to your reward..." Garble said "not another noogie!" Spike said then "what? no but let's say you can keep everything under the gems" Garble said pointing to the hoard... "i can take all of them!?" Garble however coiled him and took him back in front of himself "whaa? you leaving already? let at least give you the Hero burp mushroom" Garble said "hero what now?" Spike asked "well it's what we usually throw to a very remarkable dragon" Garble explained turning to the crowd... "EVERYONE! a burp for Spike!" Garble said to his friends "to Spike!" the dragons yelled preparing to release their fires Then all of them loudly burped to the Sky generating an explosion of fire similar to a nuclear mushroom "woah, that was spectacular" Spike said "well consider it an event, we don't do it everyday" Garble said smiling "i bet..." he said looking at the cloud disappearing in the night... "i guess you'll be departing now, will you use again that crazy magic fire?" Garble asked "yeah, and i think i should hurry my friends in Ponyville must be really worried" Spike said in the end "well if that's so see ya Spike, you are also welcome to come back!" Garble said to Spike Spike just smiled and climbed on his new hoard impatient to come back to Ponyville and above all to Rarity... He then reached the top of the hoard covered with the Rainbow gems...the temptation of eating them was strong, but not strong enough for him, he was mostly happy he would have been able to deliver them all back to his beloved Rarity... He then looked at the dragons around still cheering for him and waving with their claws... Spike just smiled and waved back, he then fired his teleporting fire and disappeared as well as the hoard under him... "hey Garble?" one of his friend asked "yeah?" Garble answered "now that Spike is an hero...does this mean no more raids on Ponies?" he asked "well i guess not, but we still can pick on the gems of the dogs, and besides hurting ponies isn't that fun anymore" Garble said "hey, do you think that one those ponies could improve our fire like Spike's, you know i wouldn't mind a teleporitng fire or a fire capable of doing something else" another one of Garble's friends said with a devious smile "well now that i think of it, some upgrades would be good...also knowing that that Serpent knows where we live..." he said in the end "anyways it's something we will worry about later, we still have a lot of hoards and the night just began!" Garble said starting again the partying... Meanwhile the carousel boutique was filled with tears... Rarity passed all the day crying and worrying about Spike and the gems, while Twilight was trying to help her feeling better... "oh Twilight, it's almost night and Spike isn't back yet!" Rarity said Twilight was worried but she tried to stay optimist "don't worry Rarity, i know it's late but i'm sure that Spike is already coming back, with all your gems with him" she said then "or...those brute dragons ate him and the gems!!!" she said collapsing crying again That imagine made Twilight shiver.... Fancy Pants himself buys a smocking belonging to the Rainbow Line, expressing also the wish to finance the stylist shop. Mysterious explosion in the badlands, yesterday evening a giant mushroom flame cloud of mysterious origins arose from the badlands, neither the scientific autorities neither Princess Celestia seem to be able to give a good explanation for it, a scientific expedition has been sent on the spot for further investigations.
Trouble at Carousel BoutiqueIt was a sunny day in Ponyville and in the streets of the little pony village, two friends, a pony and a dragon were coming back from a long morning of shopping for dressing materials... "oh Spike darling, i could never thank you enough for your help, it would have been impossible for me to carry all those heavy fabrics myself in only one travel" Rarity disse trotting in direction of her shop with Spike coming behind her with a giant pile of multicolor fabrics on his back... "oh Rarity...it was my pleasure..." Spike said suffocating his stress, thinking at Rarity's happiness once he was done... "however Rarity, why did you need all those stitching materials anyways?" Spike asked "Oh darling didn't i tell you? it's for my new Rainbow collection" Rarity explained "and i'm sure that it will be my greatest job...for now" she said smiling and closing her eyes... "oh cool, and may i ask what makes it so special?" Spike asked to her crush... "well i decided to apply to the dresses my latest discovery: Rainbow Gems" Rarity said making Spike getting exited all in a time... "RAINBOW GEMS?! you kidding Rarity? they are the tastiest, rarest, most refined gems of the entire Equestria!" Spike exclaimed "yes my darling and they are going to adorn my next collection, i keep them hidden safely into a strongbox at my home and...since you helped me so much..." Rarity said coming near Spike "yeah?" Spike said understanding what she was going to tell him... "and since you are such a sweetheart with me..." Rarity continued "yeah?" Spike said with a big smile coming on his face... "i decided that the biggest Rainbow gem i found will be your prize" Rarity finished Spike felt like he was about to brust in joy, he was going to taste a Rainbow Gem for the first time in his life and also that gem came from Rarity, his beloved Pony was going to give him one of the most precious and most delicious gems of the entire world... "today nothing can go wrong..." Spike said awaiting eagerly to arrive at the carousel boutique with Rarity...too bad that he was wrong... Upon arrival however Rarity and Spike noticed that something wasn't really right... "oh my...what is this stench!?" Rarity said covering her nose and closing her teary eyes "i don't know but...it's actually kind of familiar" Spike said looking around and sniffing the air "sulphur, methane and magma?" Spike asked to himself, questioning if he smelt right... After some time Spike remembered where he smelt that same odor... "oh no..." Spike said beginning to sweat Spike understood immediately what was happening, he tried to hope that he was wrong, but in the end the footsteps of adolescent dragon's feet convinced him... "OH! sweet Celestia please tell me it's not them!" Spike yelled going quickly into the shop just to find his old dragon "friends" feasting on Rarity's gems... "you! what are you doing here!?" Spike asked angrily to Garble and his friends... "oh look who's here, how small the world is Spike, whose that? the namby pamby pony that adopted you?" Garble asked in a mocking tone "none of your business Garble! now out of here!" Spike said "ahahahhahahah, why don't you come here and make me?" Garble asked smiling sinisterly to Spike Spike began to sweat again, he wasn't prepared for such thing, but in the end he swelled his chest and prepared to fire on Garble... However everything that came out of his mouth was a little spark... The three dragons in Rarity's shop began to laugh at him... "ah! is that everything you got Spikey wimpey?" Garble asked chewing a big diamond between his teeth... "HOW dare you savages come here without permission, eat my most valuable gems and mock my dear Spike! leave my shop NOW!" Rarity brusted in enraged by the Dragon's behavior... "oh my, what a temper guys, let's move before she gets really angry, her wrath must be just as powerful as how white she is..." Garble said leaving the shop with the other dragons following him... "well it was easy" Rarity said "yeah...a little too easy..." Spike said "oh my! look at this disaster" Rarity said looking at her broken fornitures "and they left their horrible dragonic stench allover the place" she said closing her nose hurrying to get a deodorant... "i can't believe they found this place, i just hope that they won't come back anytime soon..." Spike said angrily... "oh don't worry about it darling, for now please help me to clean up this mess..." Rarity said diffusing the deodorant around... "oh of course Rarity" Spike said grabbing another canister of deodorant and spreading it around "Spike i'm sorry but i'm afraid i'll be forced to give you your prize late........" in that moment something snapped into Rarity's mind "THE RAINBOW GEMS!!!!" she yelled galloping up into her room, only to find her precious strongbox completely molten and depleted, a sight that made her cry... Spike then looked trough the window and saw Garble and his dragon friends laughing their tails off while holding the rainbow gems in their claws, while mocking them from the distance... "those brutes stole my beautiful rainbow gems!!!!" she said rolling on the floor crying like a fountain "oh Rarity...i'm sorry i wasn't strong enough to send them away myself" Spike said sadly looking at them flying away... "my darling, don't worry...it's not your fault if those dragons stole my prized stones and destroyed my shop...i still appreciate that you tried to stand up to them" Rarity said sobbing... Spike in that moment looked at her and assumed a serious expression... "Rarity my beloved Pony i promise you i'll take back what's yours from those dragons...i promise it!" Spike said clenching his teeth.
Upgrades and incoming surprises...Spike ran quickly to the golden oaks library and began to prepare supplies for his travel to the badlands, where Garble and his friends were probably heading to... "okay, let's get started, i need to be quick, the more I wait the more they could have eaten those Rainbow gems..." Spike was saying to himself preparing his bag... After some minutes he got all the stuff he needed, he knew that he wasn't going to stay out for a lot of time but still the travel would have been pretty long... His bag was then filled with two sandwiches with veggie and gem dust as filling, a bottle of apple gassosa and a thermos of tea... "okay i'm ready to go now" Spike said finishing to pack up... In that moment however Twilight came down the stairs and noticed her little friend Spike while he was putting the bag on his shoulders... "Spike? what are you doing?" The purple alicorn asked to her little dragon "oh hi there Twilight, i was preparing some supplies for an important travel i have to do" Spike said "an important travel? what are you talking about?" Twilight asked a little worried "yeah, Garble and his friends somehow found ponyville, raided Rarity's shop and ate a lot of her gems, besides stealing some extremely rare ones, that i intend to retrive" Spike said shocking a little Twilight "you mean...? Spike you can't go on a travel like this by yourself, if those dragons caught you they would tear you apart" She said worriedly "i know Twilight, but i'm taking the risk, i have to get back Rarity's gems, she needed them for an extremely important line she was projecting and i'm not going to let it fail because of those jerks..." Spike said with his expression darkening... "mmmh at least let me come with you, i could help you with some new spells Celestia gave me..." Twilight said "well i know they could come in handy, but i'd feel better if you went to visit Rarity, she was in tears when i left the shop, and i think that your company will make her feel better" Spike said to Rarity "are you really sure you want to go on this travel alone?" Twilight asked "yes i'm sure Twilight, Rarity needs you all more than ever right now and i'm confident i can get the gems back...for Rarity" Spike said "if that's so, lemme at least cast a spell on your teleporting fire to upgrade it at a new level" Twilight explained "upgrade it?" Spike asked "yeah upgrade it Spike, passing it to another level, and by it i mean that this spell will allow you to not only teleport paper, but also to teleport living things and objects wherever you see fit" Twilight explained "cool would i be able to teleport myself too?" Spike asked "actually yeah you could, you would just need to fire at yourself" Twilight explained "seems it will be useful...go ahead whenever you want Twilight" Spike said opening his arms... "okay but be careful Spike, it will work only 3 times then your breathe will be normal again" Twilight finished "okay i'm ready Twilight" Spike said preparing Twilight's horn began to glow bright and then a sphere of fire orbited towards Spike engulfing him... Spike felt his throat burn for a second and then it came back to normal "okay, so i guess it's done right?" Spike asked "yeah Spike, now you can use your teleporting fire" the purple alicorn said "really thank you Twilight" Spike said heading towards the door "i'll try to be back as soon as i'll be able to" Spike said opening it "be careful Spike" Twilight said in the end as her little friend left the home... "now to the badlands" Spike said running around the town when something popped in his mind "mmmh i'll need a transport mean to arrive there..." Spike said looking around "that's perfect!" he said spotting an hot air balloon. "let's hope i'll make it in time" Spike said paying the price for it and then taking off... Meanwhile Garble and his friends were flying back to their homes carrying Rarity's rainbow gems inside some haversacks... "that was one heck of a raid, i never ate that much!" an white dragon said "yeah, it reminded me of the mega gem devouring party of two years ago, only that this time it was in a fancy place" the brown overweight dragon said burping "and they were all so clean and polished, you don't get so good ones near a volcano" "right, and we even saw Spikey Wimpey again" a purple dragon said "yeah, do you think that pony all polish and whitening was Spike's adoptive mom?" another dragon asked "if he was that explains why he is such a wimp, i think that if he clipped a claw he'd explode in tears! ahaahhhhahahahh" a purple dragon said "we totally need to come back there one of these days..." one of them said with a devious smile "yeah guys, but we need to be careful there, Spike could be a problem..." Garble said looking serious shocking everyone for a second... "he could write a letter to his namby pamby pony princess!!!!!!" he said making everyone explode in laughters... However between their laughters the group of dragons couldn't advert something that was following them, sneaking inside the forest under them, watching them carefully with hungry eyes and licking its chomps...
Uninvited GuestSome hours passed after the raid and Spike's departure... Twilight was worried for her little dragon assistant and friend, but also she was feeling terrible for poor Rarity who was still crying in her shop... The white unicorn was stretched on the couch versing liters of tears allover her shop, making Twilight struggle to keep the "flood" under control, and at the same time trying to confort her friend... "oh Twilight, the line i would have made out of those gems would have been the most glamour and beautiful masterpiece in my life...and now i can't realize it because a bunch of dirty and dumb dragons stole them!!!!" the unicorn was keep saying "Rarity please calm down, i'm sure that you'll find new ones..." Twilight tried to say "how can you be so naive Twilight...those gems were practically unique, the rarest gems of all Equestria, it took months of digging and scavenging to find them....i'll be able to find them again in my next life maybe!!!!" she said crying even more "oh my..." Twilight said seeing how bad her friend was feeling, so she began to dry her face with a napkin... "if it makes you feel better Spike is already traveling to the badlands to get them back..." Twilight said "what!? you really let him go?" Rarity asked shocked "well yeah...but i upgraded his..." Twilight began to explain "OH NO!!! not my little Spikey wikey!" she said crying even louder "Rarity please stay calm, i upgraded his fire, now he can teleport everything including himself, those dragons won't even see him coming" Twilight explained "but what if it failed?! oh my poor Spike..." Rarity said even more desperate In that moment Twilight looked at the window and at the sun... "Spike please come back soon" Twilight said worried for him... Meanwhile Spike was still on his hot air ballon looking at where he was going... "okay i'm just on route...soon i'll reach the area where the phoenixes make their nests..." Spike said rethinking about the events of that place, until his stomach began to grumble... "mmmh maybe some snack will be helpful" he said taking out one of his sandwiches from the bag and beginning to eat it slowly "mmmh rubin Dust...soo good" he said tasting it After some time he finished the sandwich and drank a little cup of tea...ending everything with a burp "ah i really needed it, now by the time i'll reach the volcanoes it will already be energy for my body" he said going in punching position "Garble won't even see me coming!!!" he said thinking about him attacking Garble and beating him... "actually...i really need a plan...i can't engage directly in a fight, they would use my claws as toothpicks after dipping me into the lava..." Spike said thinking about a good plan... "brrrrr...no definately better if i sneak trough them, reach the gems and then teleport myself away before they can notice i'm there, this should do the trick..." Spike said looking at the sun which was descending... "better if i hurry up, i need to get there before sunset" Spike said pulling the controls of the ballon... In that moment however the badlands were filled with young dragons celebrating the success of their raids and showing off their loots all stored into big mounds, the biggest one belonged to Garble's gang with the Rainbow gems topping it... All around the dragons were playing tail-wrestling, having burping contests and making dives into the lava pits, usual things for most of the teenage dragons... Some of them were also talking about their raids and about others, especially Garble who, for obtaining the Rainbow gems was the celebrity of the night... Garble's gang was talking with others inside a large lava pit... "so we stormed into her shop and then we began to eat all the gems we found, Garble then looking upstairs found this big strongbox, we melt it down and we found the Rainbow gems! talk about luck" the brown overweight dragon said laughing "yeah, we even found that loser of Spike back there ahahahhahahahahah, always at the pony's leash!" a purple dragon said laughing "ahahahahhahahha, even if that pony was kind of cute actually..." the white dragon said "so now you like horses? ahahahahhah why now? you finally gave up on finding a dragoness who'd want to be your mate! ahahahahahhahahahahahhahahah" another dragon taunted him... "take that back immediately if you don't want to sink my claws into your sorry tail!" the dragon snarled "oh how about you force me to do so eh? horse lover?" the dragon said enraging even more the other dragon... "okay, say bye bye to your tail!" the white dragon said pouncing him and beginning a fight into the lava pit... "FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!!" all the dragons around were saying while the two where massacrating themselves In the end the dragon who taunted the white one was defeated... "ah ah! suck my tail loser!" he said flying away from him After that little fight everything continued as normal until Garble thrown a challenge to all of the dragons... "hey guys, i bet you want these gems too?" he asked showing the Rainbow gems from the top of his hoard... All the dragons began to chant and cheer... "well be happy, whoever defeats me gets them! let's go with KING OF THE HOARD!!!" Garble roared making fire and flames come out of his mouth The dragons immediately launched themselves to the assault, climbing the pile of gems to reach Garble on the top, but both Garble and most of the others kind of played dirty, practically none was reaching the top... At a certain moment however everyone stopped looking petrified by something fearsome...everyone except Garble "what's up guys? you can't cope with a little challenge?" Garble taunted them not imagining what was going to happen... Everyone then panicked and ran into their dens... "what? come on is there anyone who can take me out?" Garble asked... "mmmh i think i could..." a deep strong and menacing voice said from behind Garble Garble in that time noticed a shadow that completely covered him and a big portion of the place... The red dragon gulped and began to turn, until his eyes met the eyes of something that made his blood become ice... "hi there snack, you too preparing for dinner?" the creature said licking it's chops looking at Garble in the same way a dragon would have watched a gem before eating it... Garble began to sweat, clench his teeth and to tremble while his legs assumed an X position... "you know i think i just spotted my main course!" the creature said coiling Garble... "ahhhh! no wait!!! not me!!!!!!!!!!" the red teenage dragon yelled once trapped by the creature...
Garble's pain trainSpike landed quite near the phoenix's grove and tied his hot air ballon to a tree. "okay here i am...now let's go" he said beginning to cross the forest. In a moment he felt something on his head: it was his little phoenix friend. "oh hi there, so long, how are you?" the little dragon asked to the little phoenix. However everything the little phoenix did was wimping and emitting a crying sound. "hey hey what's wrong little guy?" Spike asked worried The little phoenix so pointed at a part of the grove which was completely destroyed "OH MY! who did this? the dragons?" Spike asked even more worried The phoenix chick shook his head and pointed to the tracks left by what destroyed the trees, all leading to the volcanoes... "oh my...but if it wasn't a dragon...what could have been?" Spike asked to himself In that moment Spike heard someone yelling exactly from the volcanoes... "HELP! PLEASE HELP ME!!! I DON'T WANT TO BECOME A SNACK!" a young dragon was yelling desperately Spike recognized the voice almost immediately... "Garble? what the heck it's going on?" Spike asked to himself... After locating a safe enough tree Spike deposed his little phoenix friend on a branch from which his parents would have been able to spot him, then he ran towards the volcano and after a little climbing he found himself at the edge of the crater... "okay from here i should be able to see...FOR CELESTIA!!!" Spike yelled as he saw the towering creature at the center of the crater... "what in Equestria is that thing?" Spike asked to himself... The creature was an enormous serpent, even larger than a full grown dragon, with smooth shining scales, dragon like wings and fearsome teeth coming out of his mouth... Spike was frightened but something caught his attention of it mostly: the creature was holding Garble in the spires of his tail... "now morsel, you know it doesn't happen all the time to find such a delicacy as a teenage dragon, i really want to memore this, how about we play a game?" the serpent asked with a devious look in its eyes "no...wait! please...not me! i taste terrible and i'm not very good at playing!!!!!! SOMEONE HELP!!!!" Garble was keep yelling "okay round one..." the serpent said beginning to thrown Garble back and front allover the crater making him leave marks allover the place... "Pain........." Garble said as the serpent lifted him again... "pain? how so? we just got started!" the serpent said making Garble gulp... After that Garble began to wish he was born without capacity of feeling pain... "NO! not the wing breaker!!! ahh!!, not the lava swirlie! please not the dragon boiler...no wait...NO! not the tailtwister...classic, reverse, with the magma, NO! ANYTHING BUT THE EVERFREEEEEEEE TWISTER!!!!!!!!!!" Garble was yelling from the creature's clucthes... "sweet Celestia and Luna...." Spike said looking at what was happening before him... ...the poor red dragon was covered in scratches and bruises, had tears at the corners of his eyes and his tail and wings didn't look very well...in the end the creature throw it's prey at the ground and unceremoniously spat some green goo on him.... Spike was horrified, Garble was a jerk yes, but no creature deserved such a torture and he knew he had to do something before it was too late... "well i think it was enough, how about some grub now? you mind?" The creature said coiling Garble again and bringing him to its mouth... "ohhhh man....." was everything Garble was able to say looking at the multiple lined teeth ready to grind him... Garble was almost better off dead when... "HEY YOU!" a young by the sound voice yelled recalling the attention of every dragon and of the serpent...it was Spike... "why don't you pick on something your own size!" Spike said raising his clawed fist... The serpent kept Garble in his spires but prepared to add something else to the dinner... "good another morsel!" the Serpent said preparing to attack Spike... Spike got in pouncing position, and arched his back... As the serpent was about to tackle him with his mouth the young dragon jumped on it's muzzle, and climbed him until reaching it's back "okay let's slide!!" Spike said launching himself on the serpent's back and sliding trough it... "and where do you think you are going?" The serpent asked trying to bite Spike while he was sliding.... After a few tentative Spike thought he needed a diversion and so something snapped inside him... He suddenly stopped and hidden something behind his back... "hey scaly! come and get me!" Spike taunted him "prepare to meet my stomach!" the serpent said charging towards the young dragon...too bad for him that before it could have got Spike the little dragon used his teleporting fire and transported him somewhere near the serpents tail but not before he opened the bottle of gassosa right in the eyes of the creature... "ahhhhh!!! it burns!!!!!!!!!" the creature said rubbing its face on some porous rocks... Spike got advantage of the situation and tried to free Garble "hey Garble if you are still here, give me a claw..." Spike yelled to the teenage dragon trying to free him from the serpents grasp... "Spike? what the heck are you doing here!? do you want to be eaten, do you have any idea of what this is?!" Garble asked shocked by his presence.... "i don't know, i don't care, now unless you want to become a snack for real, help me!" Spike said "mmmh grrrrh...mmph" Garble was gruting trying to enlarge his wings and get some more space to fly away... For a moment it seemed that it worked as the serpent let go of Garble for one moment, but right after that the serpent coiled him again capturing also Spike in it's grasp... The creature than hauled the two dragons in the air and prepared to eat them... "good job Spike now i'm going to be your stomach mate until it digests us completely..." Garble said glaring at Spike Spike had his teeth clenched...he had to do something! and quickly or they both would have became the serpent's dinner...
Spike's attackSpike saw the jaws and the throat of the creature closing in on them faster and faster and Garble's desperate yelling wasn't of any help, at first sight there was nothing that could have saved them, however... Spike Remembered that Twilight didn't mention limits of the power of the teleporting spell and that made an idea snap into his mind... "i got this!" Spike said beginning to swell his chest taking air from around... He firmly kept in mind a precise location and then he released a huge fireball that engulfed completely the creature making it disappear, leaving him and Garble to fall inside an underneath lava pool, producing one of the biggest lava splashes ever seen... All the dragons gathered around to see how the two of them were doing, and if anybody died in the impact... Garble exited from the pool of lava panting for air and rubbing his injured tail and wing... "Hey Garble are you alright? how did the two of you take out that serpent!?" one of the dragons asked "where is it?" a dragoness asked curiously "how did you save your tails?" another dragon asked "that fireball was sick! who of you two shot it??" somedragon else asked... "hey where is Spike?" another dragon asked Garble in that moment felt something underneath him struggling for air... He then fished inside the pond with his claw until he got something... "Gotcha" Garble said taking Spike out of the molten rock... Spike got a deep breathe and then spit out the molten rock he swallowed, just to realize that the last thing he wanted to happen just happened...he was completely surrounded by packs of teenage dragons and his head was right between Garble's crimson claws! Spike gulped, curled up his tail and began to sweat again... "hem...give me the gems and...no...dragon gets hurt?" Spike said nervously giggling at his own Joke "Spike do you have any idea of what you just did?" another teenage dragon asked. "you know what you just fought!?" a dragoness asked "well no and i didn't have anything to do with it...i just wanted the gems back..." Spike said "lemme enlighten you Spikey, that was a winged serpent" Garble explained "a winged what?" Spike asked "a winged serpent, alias the only known predator of us dragons, in other words the ones of its kind have the ones of our kind as meal!" Garble explained further "oh..." Spike said gulping "even an adult dragon would have peed himself before something like that!" another dragon said "yeah when they catch you they play with you until you are soft and then they chew you until you are a powder of bones and pain!" somedragon else said "oh...well...i never met one before...and i'm glad i never did..." Spike said "i must say Spike i'm impressed, for a little dragon raised by the ponies that was pretty tough, you took it out with only one blast" Garble said to Spike "hem actually i didn't actually took it out, i just teleported him away using my improved fire" Spike explained "where did you send it dude?" a dragon asked Spike's face assumed a devious smile... In that precise moment in the countryside of Manehattan Suri Polimare was showing off her new line of dresses in her own countryside mansion... The line was called "dragonic Skin" which was made of a material similar to the skin of the dragons and with a peculiar iridescence... "As you see this original if not unique line, uses a new kind of cloth that reproduces exactly the colors and the durability of the dragon skin, beautiful and useful at it's highest levels" Suri was saying posing in one of her dresses personally... However as she was at the top of the catwalk something gigantic fell from the sky right in front of her...: it was the serpent... "hem do you have an invitation?" the mare asked The serpent was terribly dazed by the hard landing and the teleport, so everything he was able to see were the colors of the dress that Suri was wearing... "hem...is there a problem?" she asked worried by the serpent's growls... The serpent began to lick it's chomps and looked at Suri making her intend what he wanted... The mare then escaped yelling in fear followed by the serpent...as well as all of her guests... "where it's supposed to be..." Spike said in the end...beginning to get worried by the looks of all the dragons that surrounded him... "okay Spike, anyway now that you are here you know what happens to you...." Garble said looking at him smiling in a scary way "wait! no please! doooooon't!!!" Spike yelled as Garble raised his clawed fist...
Spike's rewardSpike shut his eyes tightly and clenched his teeth expecting the "eternal reward" from Garble, however soon enough he understood that his worry wasn't necessary... "ow ow ouch...give it a rest Garble!" Spike said trying to escape the dragon's claws "what you took down a giant dragon eating reptile and you can't deal with a small dragon like me?" Garble said keeping noogieing him...while the other dragons kept cheering for him screaming his name "SPIKE! SPIKE! SPIKE! SPIKE!" they were yelling all around him Also Spike was able to hear what the dragons closer to him were saying... "you were on fire! literally!" a dragon said "YES!!! even a full grown dragon would have lost piece in a fight like that" a dragoness said "how did you get that sick magic fire? is it the work of a pony?" another dragon asked "right how did you fire that ball? i mean it was even bigger than yourself!" another one said "can you teach me? i know a lot of cute dragonesses, i could introduce one of them to you" another dragon said blinking Spike kept his guard relatively high, he knew he saved Garble's life and probably the one of every other dragon around him, but still he knew that Garble and his friends could have changed their attitudes towards in the fraction of a second, plus he didn't expect the events to take that turn... "well Spike, i think i kind of misjudged you, challenging that serpent and beat him was like crushing an infinity of eggs" Garble said to Spike "well even if i don't...like you...i couldn't have let that thing eat you that way, and by the way i hope that it didn't injure your wings and your tail seriously" Spike answered "ah don't worry we dragons are tough, those scratches will regenerate soon, we are not like those namby pamby......." Garble paused for a second as Spike glared at him.... "well...you know what i meant Spike" Garble went ahead "mph okay Garble...however please give me back the gems you stolen and we can call all of this an even" Spike said in the end "mmh i kind of wanted them as main course of tonights feast, but you pretty much earned them" Garble said making Spike smile "and, i don't know if its because of the multiple concussions, i feel kind of generous tonight, so generous that i'll add something to your reward..." Garble said "not another noogie!" Spike said then "what? no but let's say you can keep everything under the gems" Garble said pointing to the hoard... "i can take all of them!?" Spike said amazed with his eyes enlarging at that sigh "that's right, but don't eat all of them in one meal" Garble joked "mmmmh on i surely won't...however i think that now i should go back to Ponyville" Spike said approaching to the hoard... Garble however coiled him and took him back in front of himself "whaa? you leaving already? let at least give you the Hero burp mushroom" Garble said "hero what now?" Spike asked "well it's what we usually throw to a very remarkable dragon" Garble explained turning to the crowd... "EVERYONE! a burp for Spike!" Garble said to his friends "to Spike!" the dragons yelled preparing to release their fires Then all of them loudly burped to the Sky generating an explosion of fire similar to a nuclear mushroom "woah, that was spectacular" Spike said "well consider it an event, we don't do it everyday" Garble said smiling "i bet..." he said looking at the cloud disappearing in the night... "i guess you'll be departing now, will you use again that crazy magic fire?" Garble asked "yeah, and i think i should hurry my friends in Ponyville must be really worried" Spike said in the end "well if that's so see ya Spike, you are also welcome to come back!" Garble said to Spike Spike just smiled and climbed on his new hoard impatient to come back to Ponyville and above all to Rarity... He then reached the top of the hoard covered with the Rainbow gems...the temptation of eating them was strong, but not strong enough for him, he was mostly happy he would have been able to deliver them all back to his beloved Rarity... He then looked at the dragons around still cheering for him and waving with their claws... Spike just smiled and waved back, he then fired his teleporting fire and disappeared as well as the hoard under him... "hey Garble?" one of his friend asked "yeah?" Garble answered "now that Spike is an hero...does this mean no more raids on Ponies?" he asked "well i guess not, but we still can pick on the gems of the dogs, and besides hurting ponies isn't that fun anymore" Garble said "hey, do you think that one those ponies could improve our fire like Spike's, you know i wouldn't mind a teleporitng fire or a fire capable of doing something else" another one of Garble's friends said with a devious smile "well now that i think of it, some upgrades would be good...also knowing that that Serpent knows where we live..." he said in the end "anyways it's something we will worry about later, we still have a lot of hoards and the night just began!" Garble said starting again the partying... Meanwhile the carousel boutique was filled with tears... Rarity passed all the day crying and worrying about Spike and the gems, while Twilight was trying to help her feeling better... "oh Twilight, it's almost night and Spike isn't back yet!" Rarity said Twilight was worried but she tried to stay optimist "don't worry Rarity, i know it's late but i'm sure that Spike is already coming back, with all your gems with him" she said then "or...those brute dragons ate him and the gems!!!" she said collapsing crying again That imagine made Twilight shiver.... "Rarity please don't underestimate Spike, he is a very strong dragon and with a lot of resources, especially when it's to help a pony in difficult like you" Twilight explained "but he is so young...and those brutes are all big scary and mean....oh how could i make him feel so miserable! i have never been a real good friend to him...it's all my fault!!!" she said crying even more "Rarity don't let yourself down so much, you are always kind to Spike and i'm sure he'll come back sooner than we expect" Twilight said "i'll stop crying only when i'll see his cute little face back here" Rarity said between a sob and the other... As soon as she said it, a giant flash of light filled the room engulfing the two ponies... Then after they opened their eyes they understood they were completely submerged by gems... "Rarity are you okay?" Twilight asked "oh my...where do all these gems come from?" Rarity asked Spike's head emerged from the sea of gems filling Rarity and Twilight of joy... "spike you are back! how did you get all those gems!? did those horrible dragons hurt you?" Rarity asked worried... Spike just smiled and showed her the Rainbow gems he gained back... "SPIKEY! YOU GOT THEM BACK!!!!" she yelled jumping over exited on her little dragon covering him of kisses allover.

Emergent Stylist of Ponyville presents a new line based on the famous Rainbow gems receiving universal acclaim from all the world of fashion. Fancy Pants himself buys a smocking belonging to the Rainbow Line, expressing also the wish to finance the stylist shop. Mysterious explosion in the badlands, yesterday evening a giant mushroom flame cloud of mysterious origins arose from the badlands, neither the scientific autorities neither Princess Celestia seem to be able to give a good explanation for it, a scientific expedition has been sent on the spot for further investigations.
