Attacked by the Spider Race and their dark magics, the nation of Equestria is almost entirely enslaved or in ruins. Captured and used as food, both magically and physically, the ponies of Equestria have little hope for resistance. Until a strange craft comes hurtling out of the sky, breaking the cloud cover the Spider Queen has massed.

Commander Aaron Forrest, captain of the last remaining ship of humanity, crashes his ship, and the last survivors of humanity, into Ponyville, unwittingly bringing a ray of hope to ponykind. Having hoped to find peace for his people, Aaron is not happy to be thrust into a war not of his own choosing, nor to be helping an alien race, considering humanity's near destruction at alien hands. But over time, perhaps this could change.

Darkness hangs over Equestria. Darkness and war.
