Author's Note

Sup. This is my first story, so yeah.
Sorry if it's bad.
It's loosely based on a story I wrote when I was probably in 4th grade, so if it is bad, that's probably why.
There probably won't be a sequel (unless you beg me enough(just kidding))
So, yeah.

The first (and probably only) chapter

Opal's BIG Adventure

One peaceful(but, of course, soon to not be) morning in Ponyville, Rarity was having an argument with her cat.

"I know you want more food, darling, but I just can't give it to you! We don't want you getting "too heavy", if you know what mean."

"Meow, hiss!"

"No, I'm not calling you fat, Opalessence, I'm trying my best yo prevent you from becoming so."

"Hiss"

Rarity sighed. "Fine, go wallow in- well, whatever you're supposed to wallow in. I don't know what it is a cat is supposed to wallow in! But you know what, I don't care. At least you're not doing your usual bit, where you just hiss and sratch me."

Oh, yeah, I forgot to do that, didn't I?

With that, Opal quickly ran up to Rarity, hissed, and clawed her right on her leg.

"Ow, Opal! I swear, it's like you hate everypony except Fluttershy!"

Maybe that's because I do. At least when I go to her house, or she comes here, I get fed enough.

"Oh well. Oh, and speaking of Fluttershy, it's time for our weekly spa appointment! I'll see you in a little while, darling... and you know what? I'll feed you when I get back. See you in a while!"

With that, Rarity exited her home/workplace, and headed for the spa.

Oh, you'll feed me when you get back, huh? Well, how's about before then, I have myself a little snack....

Then, Opal went into the kitchen and found the bag containing the food that Rarity usually gave her.

Man, am I glad to have claws! She thought as she viciously ripped open the bag, allowing the contents to spill out onto the kitchen floor. She greedily gulped up as much as she could, finding she had eaten nearly half the bag in only a few minutes.

Wow, she thought, I never knew I could eat so much, so fast! In fact, she realized with a smile, I feel like I could eat the rest of this bag, and then even more!

And she did just that. She completely devoured the remaining food in that bag, and then went on to eat a whole other two before she realized she was becoming taller, and at an alarming rate. And not just taller, either. She was becoming larger in general, not just height. At this point, she just sat back and let it happen. But once she had become the size of a fully grown pony, she became worried. She ran to the door, to find out that, for the first time in her life, she could turn the handle and open thethe door. She did so, and ran outside.

Then, she started growing faster. She was now gaining a foot per minute, and wasn't quitting. After a whole fifteen minutes had passed, she ( much to her disliking, as at this point she was afraid, and she was afraid of herself) she started growing even FASTER. Now gaining almost a foot every second, she was growing much faster than Spike had when he was being greedy on his birthday. This only went on for about five minutes, rather than ten or fifteen, but that was all the time it needed. Opal was now over 100 feet tall, and if she wanted to, she could be a destruction machine.

After some thought, that's what she decided to do.

By now, she had stopped growing, and started walking towards Ponyville.

Now, she needed only to choose what she would destroy first.

That decision was quickly made, and with one step, Carousel Boutique was gone. Opal knew she would later be severely punished for this, and all the events that had not yet occurred. She did not, though,(for the moment) care about any of that. She just wanted to have fun.

And have fun she would.

Her next victim, she decided, would be the spa. That accursed building would pay for taking Rarity's attention away from her.
She did, however, care for Fluttershy and Rarity, so she first made sure that they had exited the building first. Then, with one swipe, the spa was gone too.

At this point, ponies had noticed the giant cat rampaging throughout the town, and, of course, called Twilight to stop it. She arrived, only to be stepped on, bringing gasps from all those nearby, except Opal, of course. Opal walked away, set on a course to destroy all of Ponyville.

By the time she had destroyed five houses, two restaurants, and three businesses, she was becoming bored with the destruction of common buildings. She wanted to do something that would affect EVERYPONY. This, she decided, would be to destroy Princess Twilight Sparkle's castle.

Once she arrived in front of it, but before she could destroy it, she heard a voice scolding her. Of course, there had been many scolding tones, but this one..... this one was the one she had never hoped to hear. Ever.

"Opal! You stop that at once! Just because you're giant now, doesn't mean you can go destroying anything you want, especially not Twilight 's castle.

You should be ashamed of yourself! I don't care if you think everypony was being mean or rude to you, you shouldn't take it out on all of Ponyville!"

Then, Opal felt a searing feeling of being watched, no, not watched, looked down on, on her back and turned around to see that Fluttershy was giving her her famous stare. This startled and saddened her so much that she unconsciously began to shrink. As soon as she had returned to her normal size, somepony shouted, "GET HER!" and two royal gaurdsponies grabbed her forcefully and shoved her into a small cage.

One of the guards said, "You'll be in jail a loong time, little kitty."

The last thing Opal saw before a sheet was put over the cage was Fluttershy looking at her with utter disgust and disapproval on her face. This caused her to regret her actions.

As Opal was put in a vehicle to be taken to Canterlot for custody, she thought to herself, what have I done?
