Chapters A Rainbow Over The Horizon
A Rainbow Over the Horizon
Snore...Snore
The alarm clock rang.
"Ah! I'm up! I'm up!" A cyan colored hoofed peaked from the left side of the cover, then it drooped down.
"5 more minutes, please!" A hasty tone muttered.
Then the alarm clock spoke, "Wake up, as I command! You'll never be a wonderbolt at this state!"
Then a pegasus burst out of the bed, with blood shot eyes, and covers flying everywhere. She yawned deeply, and flew over to another bed, loosely made with wood.
"Scoots? Kiddo? It's time to wake up!" Rainbow Dash said.
There was no reply.
"She probably went to Twi or Flutter's house. No big deal."
Rainbow went toward her bathroom. She looked at the mirror, seeing a mess that Rarity would defianatly disaprove of. She carefully picked up her comb, brushed her mane, and flew out the door. She rushed toward Ponyville, flying down towards Twilight's castle. It was different seeing the old tree being burnt, but the castle was defianatly a improvement and looked awesome. She landed at the window and watched. There was indeed, Twilight and Scootaloo.
"Oh, hello Scootaloo. What brings you here?" Twilight asked friendly.
"Nothing." The pegasus filly muttered.
"Looking for a book?"
"No."
"School project?"
"No."
"Then what is it?"
Scoot sighed, "promise you won't tell anypony?"
"Pinkie promise!" Twilight said with a wink.
"Well, you see, I am..."
"What?"
"I am a orphan..."
"WHAT? But you said you had parents?!"
"I did. Atleast, I hope I did."
"Oh Scoots, it isn't a good thing to lie. Is there anything I can do?"
"I was wondering if you knew a spell to bring back my parents, or show me who they were!"
"Gee, well, I do know one spell. But it was in "Star Swirl's Book of Unused Spells, Rewritten". It has never been tested before. I don't know..."
"Oh, come on Twilight! I just have to know!"
"Fine. But only if you help me straighten up my library tommorow."
"Alright, alright, now get on with it!"
Twilight transported to her book shelf. She searched every shelf, looking for that specific book. She finally spotted it out of the corner of her eye, and levitated it toward herself.
"Here it is. Chapter 2000 of 40002, page 4000."
"Oh, get on with it!" Scoots complained.
Twilight focased hard, and her horn began to glow. Dark clouds swirled around the room, forming some type of square. There, magic began to show a story.
Rainbow watched in amazement outside. She boomed in, clomping over Twilight.
"Eh, sorry?"
Twilight huffed and got up, watching the magic do its job.
The screen showed a golden pegasus, with a large, fluffy, orange and yellow mane. Then, with a wink, a light blue pegasus with a grey mane walked up to her.
"Hey, that looks like Spitfire!" Rainbow said.
"And that looks like Soarin'!" Scoots replied.
The two couldn't keep their eyes off of the images placed before them. None of them noticed that Twilight was struggling to keep her magic in control. Her eyes turned white, and her wings burst out.
"Oh no, not again!!!" Rainbow shouted.
The ponies flew against the room as the library exploded. It didn't really damage anything, but Twilight had fell unconicious.
Rainbow nudged her, "Hey, Twi, get up."
She immediantly woke up with a start.
"Agh!!! My library! No-No-No!!!!" She freaked out.
Scoots paid no attention to the two mares walking about.
"Hey, kiddo, you okay?"
"I am fine, actually. But how could ponies as awesome as the Wonderbolts abandon me?"
"No idea either. It is rather strange, epicially since Soarin' and Spitfire are really close." Twilight said.
"Dash?" Scoots asked.
"Yeah?"
"I want to go see them."
"I have a better idea," Twilight insisted.
"Why don't we invite them here and talk to them?"
The two ponies nodded their heads.
"Spike, take a letter!"
Spike tumbled down the stairs.
"Yes, your majesty?"
"Spike, do not call me that!"
"Uh, sorry."
Twilight told Spike everything he needed to write, and in the meantime, Scoots stood silent towards the window.
"Why?" She sighed.
Rainbow walked over to her, seeing that she was now crying tears.
"Hey there, there's no need to cry-"
"Yes there is! The ponies that you and me have always looked up to are my parents! They gave me away, don't you understand? We can't be sisters anymore!"
"Scoots, we will always be sisters, no matter what. Now, dry those tears up!"
Scoots sniffed up her tears and walked to the door.
"I am going for a ride." She said.
She trotted away, and Rainbow stared blankly at her.
"Where could she be going?" Rainbow thought, but her silence was broke by Twilight's voice.
"Rainbow, wake up!"
"Huh, wazzat? Oh, Twi! What is it?"
"Deliver these letters to the mail pony as fast as you can."
"I'm on it Princess!" She picked up the two letters and zoomed off.
Twilight walked over to her throne.
"Today is going to be a long day." She sighed, and levitated her favorite book toward herself and began to read.
Spike walked up toward her with a confused look.
"So Spitfire and Soarin are Scootaloo's parents?" He asked.
"Well, yeah. She had to know eventually, right?"
"I think that was almost too much for her to know. Imagine being a filly and finding out who your parents are!"
"I do suppose it was a little harsh, but nothing too tough. If she ever needed help, she could always talk to me or Rainbow."
"But what if Spitfire or Soarin don't like her?"
Twilight placed her book down and wanted to hit Spike really hard.
"They couldn't hate their daughter, Spike. It would just be wrong."
"But they still could! And imagine what Dashie would think!"
"That too..."
"Spitfire is very ill tempered, and so is Soarin'. Good luck talking to them is all I could say."
She sighed and picked up her favorite book again.

A Rainbow Over The Horizon
Scootaloo rode indepently on her scooter, tears trailing down her face. She began to have second thoughts about her parents at first, but then she began to think about how they abandoned her. She whisked by two small fillies, about her age, who were shouting her name.
"Scoots! Scootaloo!" A white unicorn filly yelled.
"Ah, It's no use! She's too fast for us!" A beige earth pony filly said.
"What if she's in trouble?" The unicorn, named Sweetie Belle, said.
"Mabeye your right! We could get some type of cutie mark for doing that! Now come on, let's go help her!" The earth pony, named Apple Bloom, said. She dragged Sweetie and ran straight toward the orange and purple blur far ahead of themselves.
By that time, Scootaloo had arrived at Sugurcube Corner, a sweet shop which was owned by the Cake family, and Pinkie Pie. She took a rope out of the small carry bag on the front of the scooter, and tied it to a post. Then she tied the scooter to it. She walked up the steps.
"Good Afternoon, Scootaloo!" Mrs. Cake annouced from the cashier.
"Hello," She replied weekly.
"What may I do for you?" Mrs. Cake asked.
"The usual, the chocolate supreme milkshake."
"Coming right up!"
Scootaloo was about to walk to her seat when Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom had caught up with her.
"Scoots! We saw you cryin' and wanted to know what's goin' on!" Apple Bloom said.
"Take a seat over there and I'll tell you." She pointed to the seat in the far back of the room.
The two fillies trotted over to the table. Scootaloo joined them.
"You see, I asked Twilight about my parents. She did a spell telling me who they were," Scootaloo tried to say.
"She did? What was the results?"
"Shh, it was Spitfire and Soarin! I just don't see why they would abandon someone like me!"
"Aww, Scoots. It's alright. Are you gonna talk to them?" Sweetie asked.
"Well, I was. Twilight sent them letters asking them to come to her house. I decided that I had no buisness being there, so I just left."
At that moment, Mrs. Cake trotted over to the table and delivered the milkshake to Scootaloo, demanding her pay. She paid and sucked it down.
"So, what if they don't know who you are?" Apple Bloom asked.
"They don't, and that's the problem!" She replied, letting a few tears escape.
"If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to be alone right now." Scoots said, walking over to the door.
She thru away her milkshake container and was about to step out of the door, but then, Rainbow Dash flew by, scooping her up in surprise.
"Rainbow Dash!" She exclaimed.
"Twilight told us to meet up at her place. Spitfire and Soarin' will be there any second!"
They got there in a few seconds. Twilight sat comfortly in her throne, but then Rainbow flew by. Books flew around her room, and Twilight fell off.
"What in Equestria do you think you are doing?" She asked.
"Nothing much! Where's the two vurdicts!" Rainbow asked.
"Dash, they are not Vurdicts! They are just suspected to be her parents!"
She huffed, and flew down. Twilight flew back up to her throne. Scootaloo walked over to some of the books scattered in the floor.
"Hey, a Daring Do book!" She exclaimed, and picked up the book and began to read.
Soon enough, the two Wonderbolts would come. However, untill then, the three ponies would relax.
A Rainbow Over The Horizon
Spitfire was at her front desk when her letter arrived. She was going through several papers, many which were fan letters from fans. When she had finished sorting through her huge pile, she laid back in her seat and sighed, wiping off the sweat on her head. It was a rather hard evening for herself, so she decided to sleep on the job.
Well, she was going to, until her boss, Surprise, burst through the door.
"Captain Spitfire! We have a letter for you!" She yelled.
She immediantly flew out of her chair with a start.
"Yes, ma'm. I'll read it now!" She replied.
She took the letter out of Surprise's hoofs and placed it in her's. The letter was a deep fuchsia color, decorated with tiny swirls. She opened the seal and read it carefully.
Dear Spitfire,
A young filly named Scootaloo has recently questioned herself being a orphan. She asked me to do a spell which will reveal her real parents. I did so, only to find that the spell revealed you and Soarin' being her parents.
Not only am I upset that you abandoned your filly, but I am upset that you and Soarin' are in a relationship and didn't even keep her! And to think that you will have a filly soon! You are invited here at the castle along with Soarin' for questioning. I will see you both there.
The Princess of Ponyville,
Princess Twilight Sparkle
Spitfire was confused and angry at Soarin' at the same time.
"Crap." She hissed under her breath.
In a flash, she zoomed off to Ponyville, and landed at a bench. She waited until Soarin' was there.
Meanwhile, Soarin' was praticing his flying techniques. He was checking out his wings, then took off, nearly with a Sonic Rainboom.
"Yee-haw!" The stallion yelled.
Suddenly, Surprise popped in front of him, halting him to a stop.
"Mr. Soarin', letter for you." Surprise said, handing him a letter.
He grabbed the letter from her hoof, tearing it open.
"More fan mail, I suppose?" He asked himself.

"Oh, crap." He said.
He zoomed off to the castle in Ponyville, meeting Spitfire at the same time.
"Hey Spitfire, did you get the letter?" He asked nervously.
"Sure did. Let's get this over with." She replied.
The two ponies entered the library and prepared to be questioned.
