Almost immediately after Twilight ascended into an Alicorn, Discord rebelled. The fight killed Celestia and the other casualties were five of the Spirits of Harmony. Only Twilight and a handful of others survived the attack on Ponyville. She and Luna would have died if Luna's older brother Talandus did not come to save them.

Now Luna and Talandus governs under the ponies that did not fall under Discord's magic. This is a story of survival and revenge for Twilight Sparkle whom was abandoned by Talandus and Luna but not by those few who survived Ponyville's attack. This is the survival of a group of mares Twilight, Trixie, Lyra, Bon Bon, and Rose. This is the tale of their survival in a new wasteland.
