That Trickster Archangel
Dammit, Gabriel!
Load Full StoryNext ChapterDean was pissed. Cas couldn't stop being a guardian angel for one second, could he? He just had to be there with his stupid protectiveness. Sam didn't understand his brother's hate for the angel at the moment. Cas was confused, too. "Dean —" Castiel started.
"No! Shut it, Cas!" Dean barked.
Cas closed his mouth. He knew better than to talk when Dean told him to shut up. Sam decided to step in. "Dean, why are you so upset? All Cas did was save you —"
"Exactly! That's the point! I don't need to be saved! Especially not by him." Dean said bitterly.
Cas looked away and Sam frowned. His brother was being a huge dickwad. He didn't have any reason to be mad at Cas. He was just being his prideful self. But you think he would've gotten used to getting his ass saved by his guardian angel. The sound of fluttering wings filled the room. The Winchesters looked up, both thinking Castiel left, but instead of an angel going an angel arrived. An archangel to be exact. "Gabriel?!" Sam exclaimed.
Gabriel smiled. "Hiya, Sam. How's life going?"
"What do you want, Gabriel?" Cas demanded.
Gabriel raised an eyebrow at him. "Jeez. Hanging around with the Winchesters too much, little bro. But, if you insist, I'll get down to business..." Gabriel raised his hand and snapped his fingers.
Sam fell on his face into the dirt. As soon as he saw Gabriel raise his hand he went forward to try to stop him from snapping his fingers. He lifted his head up and spit out dirt. He went to wipe his face with his hand, but his face came into contact with something hard. Sam looked at what it was and almost fell over. He had a hoof. A hoof, That wasn't natural. He stood up on all four of his legs. He was a little wobbly at first, but he did it. Then a thought occurred to him: Where were Dean and Cas? It would be best for him to find them. Who knows where Gabriel sent them.
~~~
Dean was going to kill Gabriel. The son of a bitch turned him into a freakin' horse! And where was Sam? And Cas? They had to have been brought here, too. He couldn't be alone... Dean shook his head. He wasn't going to think like that. He walked around the forest looking for someone familiar. After a while, he got tired. He had four legs to get used to, he couldn't expect to travel long distances already. Dean sat down and pouted slightly. How was he supposed to find Sam and Cas if he couldn't walk far? As if something out there liked him, he felt something move on his side. He looked down and saw he had wings. Dean grinned. Those would help. He stood up. How was he supposed to use these, exactly? Experimentally, Dean moved them. Alright... Just... Pretend they were arms... That would work, right? Dean flapped his wings and lifted off the ground. "Awesome," he couldn't stop his grin from growing.
Dean flew up to the trees, but he didn't go over them. He would be able to see Sam or Cas from this height. He flew in the direction he was originally walking. Eventually, he saw something. He went to land next to it but ended up falling face first into the dirt. "Dean?" Dean knew that voice.
Dean lifted his face off of the dirt. "Cas?" That was Cas alright. Same hair, same eyes, even the same tie. But Cas had a horn. Was he a unicorn? No... He also had wings. Well Dean didn't really care what he was, he found Cas! "Have you seen Sam?"
"No. I thought he would be with you," Cas responded.
Dean frowned. At least he wasn't alone this time.
