I lay bare upon the bed, unable to do anything but shed a tear. I turn my head to glance at Twilight, who is just now opening her eyes. Within only a few seconds her face is filled with horror, and her tears are glittering with the light of Celestia's fiery mane. "Don't lose hope, Twi!" I shout out the unicorn, still strapped the X-shaped cross on the wall.

"Shut it, you mortal ape!" says a livid Celestia, now standing over me in what took only a second. Her crimson eyes pierce furiously into the back of my skull, and her body glows with light-distorting heat. I scream in agony. My skin feels like it is being scorched by the Sun. She must be hundreds of degrees Celsius on the outside of her body alone. My body is paralyzed, yet, the feeling of a living Hell dominates all sense of feeling. Suddenly, the black-armored tyrant laughs sadistically. "Hahaha! I had no idea humans were able to enjoy pain like our species. That'll make it much easier to milk you for your fluids! The breath of each word she speaks over my twitching member feels like I'm too close to an open bonfire, and it's becoming hard to breath. I'm slowing drifting out of consciousness, even though I should fight it. I black out against my will.

A familiar voice calls out to me. “Do not forget your friendships. Twilight trusts you more than you'd ever think that she does, so you mustn't let her hurt anymore than she already has!” Princess Luna soars in a glowing blue across the dark void in my mind. I follow her like a lost soul to light. Something lies ahead awaiting in the darkness. Luna keeps flying, and passes into one of the images on a floating film reel that is now flickering with light. I float in after her. I suddenly wake from this weird dream.

Twilight, impatiently growls at me. “You wake up, we're not finished talking!” I open my eyes drearily to see Twi sitting across a wooden table from me. The sounds of a train bumping along tracks lightly echo in the train car. “Now, as I was saying, this potion...” She levitates the same orange potion bottle from earlier out of the bag next to her. “... it gives a burn resistant effect to the user. However, it's imperfect. You'll still feel pain from hot surfaces, and it only lasts 4 hours.” Twilight levitates it in the center of the rectangular table.

I'm still left with questions. “If this potion just gave the user fire-resistance, why did you need this for your brother?” I said that statement rather untactfully, I should've kept that question for later. Now, Twilight's expression turns slightly sour, and she sullenly looks out the window.

The lavender mare sighs, and opens her mouth to speak. “I don't know what we're dealing with, but whatever it is, my brother was terribly burned. I'm actually surprised he even survived getting to Ponyville from Canterlot...” She lowers her eyes further, looking like she's about to cry. Then she smacks the table with her hoof and the potion almost gets knocked over. “That's why...” She continues more strongly, and throws a harsh look in my direction. “... I'm prepared to risk my life for the princess! I cannot allow her to inflict anymore suffering, for if she does, I could never forgive myself!” The train's whistle blows, and she sits back down quietly with a sigh.

I answer the words from her heart. “I'm not going to sit idly by either! I won't let her make you cry anymore!” I speak proudly. I quickly grab the flask and chug it, as if it were a testament to my faith. She smiles rewardingly to my words. The train's whistle blows and again and begins to slow down. I fall out of the dream, the memory, into the void once again. I realize now that the dream I was having was my past, our trip on the train to Canterlot. Luna's voice echoes with a final verse. "Go forth, and release your inner strength."

My eyes focus once again, to see the Celestia, with strings of saliva and fluids dripping from her gaping mouth. “I'm finding you to be a rather splendid toy to play with!” She laughs maniacally once again. “After all, the guards end up dying before I can even have the real fun with them. Except that Shining Armor...” The white mare's expression tenses up and becomes more irate. “... That piece of shit barely escaped my wrath. I wanted to make him feel the worst out of any of other guards!”

That statement infuriated me. I forcefully raise my torso all at once, my mind slowly losing focus. I deliver an uppercut with the rising force, and her body flies across the room, her back strikes the wall right of the door. My body glows with a paranormal energy that overpowers my senses. The black-armoured tyrant yells with anguish. “Impossible, you human apes are incapable of magic!” I raise my hang with disregard and gather energy around my fingertips. She cringes at the power of my strength. “Damn it all!” She teleports out, leaving those words behind. A moment passes, and fall backward onto the bed again. I've felt like I lost consciousness, and my sense of direction is all thrown off.

What happened? Where the heck did she go? "All I remember is she said something about Shining Armor, and I blacked out...” I mutter to myself, lost in a daze. I turn my head to the right to see Twilight, strapped to the St. Andrews cross. “Oh, I'm sorry! Let me help you out, Twilight!" I crawl across the bed and jump to my feet. My knees buckle under weakness and I fall again. I slowly lift myself cautiously across the floor, and finally see her open-mouthed look of surprise that seemed really out-of-place. “Twi?”

She looks at me finally after I utter those words while undoing her bondage. “Oh, I'm sorry. I guess we're safe now, huh?” She says a bit anxiously.

“Yeah, I guess we better get out of here while we can.” I reply to her, just as I undo the last latch. She falls forward onto my chest, causing us to both hit the floor. Twilight is on top of me, staring right into my eyes. We gaze at each other, and after what felt like a minute, she jumps off and we're both blushing hard. "She is so beautiful up close..." I mutter silently to myself.

“Oh, gosh!” Twilight says with surprise. "We need to get out of here! The guards will find us with that commotion we just caused! I can explain my situation, but they won't be so lenient with you!" Her horn glows and we pop through space once again.

I rub my eyes furiously. "You're never going to remember to tell me, are you?" I say impatiently. She ignores me and I finally see my surroundings. We're in a dim room with only the light of glowing magic circles and potions all over. "Where are we, anyway?" She lights a bright lamp and places it on a table lined with books.

"This..." she looks over toward me and back up at the ceiling. "...This is the library. We are in my alchemy lab." That makes no sense! If we could teleport to the library from Cant--... She interrupts my thought. "I know what you're thinking. Why did we take a train if I could teleport there? The answer is simple." She says matter-of-factly. "That circle on the floor allows quick teleportation from anywhere in the world back to here. But only I can use it."

I take in this information, and look back over to her. "So, what was the point of coming here then? Don't we have to take down Celestia first?"

She trots off toward a door that lies close to my left that just now noticed. "Because in order to take down Celestia, you need to be ready." she opens the door, and a mysterious blue light pours into the room. "Come this way, and I'll show you what to do." She smiles with a look of confidence in her eyes.
