One Opinion Shy

Vinyl turned the bass knob up a little higher on her turntable. She bobbed her head to the deep wubbing of the bass as the bass dropped into a multitude of bassy highs and lows. "Oh Yeah!" Vinyl yelled as she nodded her head to the beat. Suddenly Octavia bursted into the room. Sweat beads formed on Octavia's temples as she gasped for air. She shook her head and walked over to Vinyl. She tapped on Vinyl's shoulder with the tip of her hoof. Vinyl turned around and took off her big headphones.
"What's up Oct?" Vinyl said her head still bobbing slightly to the beat that boomed through the headphones.
"I'll never get use to the yelling." Octavia mumbled under her breath.
"Hey while you are in here you should totally give this new mix a listen!" Vinyl yelled, totally unaware of the high volume of her voice. "Vinyl could you please lower your voice, and what is that smell?" Octavia said as she covered her muzzle with her hoof.
"Roomie, That would be the smell of hard dedication and bass drops."
Vinyl placed the headphones over Octavia's ears and turned the volume up a notch. Octavia scrunched up her muzzle and closed her eyes as the beat flowed into her ears. She quickly removed the headphones and placed them gently on the turntable. "What did you think?" Vinyl said in her normal happy-go-lucky voice.
"It was... interesting." Octavia said, holding her tongue.
"You think so?" Vinyl said, her horn lighting up slightly in delight. Octavia suppressed her criticism for the sake of her mare friend.
"Yes, I think everypony would like it." Octavia said as she brushed off her shoulders and straightened out her bow tie.
Vinyl's horn light up brighter than before and spoke in a hurried tone. "That is a great idea! I should show everypony!" Vinyl leaped over Octavia's perfectly groomed mane and landed on top of her bed. She through her rucksack over her and placed the record inside. She galloped as quick as she could out of the apartment's front door and headed down the streets of Canterlot toward Ponyville.
Vinyl took her sleek white hoof and tapped it on the library door. She didn't know weather Princess Twilight Sparkle would be there but it was worth a shot. The door opened to a familiar purple and green dragon. "Hey Vinyl! Come on in." Vinyl walked into the big library that was full of books from ceiling to floor. Twilight walked down from her little room and hugged Vinyl, her hoof resting on the nape of Vinyl's neck. "So what brings you to Ponyville?" Twilight said. The sun coming from outside shined brightly against Twilight's horn and wings. The purple of her coat seemed to glow under the sun and gave off a sort of warm aura.
"I'm working on this super hot mix and i want you to listen to it!" Vinyl nuzzled into her rucksack, Which was covered in graffiti, and took out the record. She walked over to the record player and placed the record underneath the cartridge. A soft techno beat flowed through the air. The tune of classical music along with techno undertones seemed to dance off their manes and twirled around them. Suddenly, a drop off in the beat resulting in a hard bass drop and Twilight nearly falling over in surprise made Vinyl almost burst out in laughter. Vinyl danced to the epic bass and hi hats as if she was the only pony around. She felt like she was at one of her gigs as the beat continued throughout the library. The song finished and the tone arm lifted off of the record. Vinyl bounced on her hoofs in delight and banged her head to the invisible beat.
"How did you like that Twi?" Vinyl shouted, totally oblivious that she was still in a library.
"That sounds like it could be a hit in Las Pegasus." Twilight said. She flashed a sparkling reassuring smile to the unicorn.
"Well thanks for the feedback but i have other ponies who need to listen to this so i can get a full response!" Vinyl put the record back in her bag and headed out the door.
"That pony is always on the move." Twilight said as she closed the library door with her magic.
It was nearly sunset when Vinyl finished visiting every pony she could think of. She walked happily down the orange lit street and made her way back to her Canterlot apartment. She glanced over at the glow of somepony's house off in the distance. She studied the house on the edge of ponyville and realized she had yet to visit it. She walked confidently over to the small cottage and was instantly hit with the many smells of nature. The aromas of fresh roses and lillies danced through the night's air. Vinyl raised a hoof and knocked hopefully on the ponies door. Vinyl then noticed a soft and feather voice echo inside the house. The voice sounded like it belonged to an angel. A yellow pegasus with a long and pink sleek mane answered the door. A rosy tint spread across her cheeks as she immediately seized her singing.
"Oh, Hello there." She said in a soft spoken tone.
"Hey i was just going around asking everyponies opinion on this new song i'm working on and i don't believe i asked you." Vinyl said in her hyper and cheerful voice.
"Um, no you haven't but i-i am terribly busy. I'm sorry." The yellow pegasus said. She hung her head slightly down and scrapped a hoof along the wooden floor.
"Oh come on! Just one listen? What's your name?" Vinyl said moving her weight slightly to her side impatiently.
"Its-um- Fluttershy." She whispered.
"It's what?" Vinyl yelled back.
"Fluttershy." She whisper even lower as she somewhat backed away from the loud pony.
"Oh! Fluttershy! Well here give this a quick listen! It won't take but a second!"
Vinyl galloped past the shy mare and searched the room for a record player.
"No really i'm fine." Fluttershy said meekly.
"Names Vinyl by the way." Vinyl said, completely unaware of what Fluttershy was saying. "Do you have a record player in this place?" Vinyl said, finally turning and facing the yellow mare. Vinyl gasped as Fluttershy stood in the moonlight that came from the window she was standing by. Her yellow mane glistened in the moonlight and glowed a radiant beauty like no other pony. Something inside of Vinyl triggered a warm feeling as she stepped closer to Fluttershy.
"What is it gonna take to make you listen to my song?" Vinyl said is a cheeky tone. Fluttershy blushed and looked away as her temperature rose. Vinyl stepped closer to the mare and was only a few inch from her face. Vinyl lightly nuzzled Fluttershy's muzzle and innocently looked into her blue eyes. "Is this fine?" Fluttershy shuddered slightly but responded.
"I don't know i-i i can't see your eyes." Vinyl realized she was still wearing her glasses. She took them off along with the rucksack and laid it beside the front entrance. Vinyl turned to face the shy pony and gave her a quick nuzzle before gently kissing her on the lips. Fluttershy gasped at the sudden passionate kiss but slowly gave into Vinyl's warm lips. The two mares slowly moved up the stair into Fluttershy's bedroom and laid down on the comforter.
