Over a year has passed since the Crystal Empire was discovered. Up until this point, Princess Cadance and Shining Armor have been happily together. Now their happiness is starting to fade, as their marriage has begun experiencing some complications. What starts as little more than bad communication soon devolves into a unpleasant test of patience.

A stallion named Comet Frost, one of Shining Armor's lieutenants, notices their dispute and makes it his business to intervene. Despite the admiration and respect he has for his Captain, his first loyalty is to the Equestrian Royalty. As such, he sides with Cadance and comforts her throughout their quarrel. At first, he is just doing his duty as an officer of the Royal Guard. But as time goes on, his relationship with Cadance becomes less and less professional...

Note: Comet Frost is the main character of this story, but he is not my OC. The premise is not mine either. An author on Fanfiction named "ShaqlerIKMY" approached me with the character and the idea, and he asked me to write this story based on them. As far as I know, he does not have an account on Fimfiction, but he has given me permission to upload the story to this site as well.
