I guess I covered it up extremely well right? None of you ever would have guessed that somepony like me could have done something like that. Well it wasn't easy with all the cleanup involved. I can't say I'm too happy with the result, however what's done is done. And that’s why I’ve flown far away, where you can't find me.
Oh yeah, Twilight I left my element on my bed. I don't think I need it anymore considering I can't be considered loyal anymore. You of all ponies should have been able to guess it was me, Rainbow Dash, the one who fixed the bridge when we were lost in the Everfree.

When you came to town I honestly thought that you were some sort of smart-ass egg head, who was only going to come down from Canterlot then go home after your little checklist was done. But look how you turned out, you write letters to the princess every day and actually get replies! Although it seems that your obsession is learning more and more about friendship, noticing others doesn't seem to be in that study.
You could have stopped me Twilight, you're an alicorn princess for Celestias sake! You should've seen it coming from a mile away. But then again I guess the ones who seem the brightest are also the darkest. When I did what I did I thought all about you Twilight, and how I wished it was you under that knife.
Just to let you know, one of the last things he said before he ran out of breath was “the princess will make you pay”. In a way though you have already made me pay by making me go on exceptionally unnecessary trips, with no regard to my job. Do you remember when you first came here and you asked why I wasn't doing my job? It's funny that for the past few years you have been keeping me from doing that job with trips and missions. Honestly I don't think you needed me to take a tree to Appaloosa. Then again you're the element of magic… Friendship is magic right Twilight?

I know this isn't what we planned, but sadly it's what happened… I know you're scared, and I know this isn't what you wanted. But it had to happen, alright. He had to die. If not for you then for my sanity. He raped you and you were going to let him get away with it! I understand you're the element of kindness. But you have to be forceful sometimes, like when a stallion wants to rape you! I don't mean to sound mad about this. I'm just fed up with you constantly saying “I don't know” and “I'm sorry” when you've done nothing wrong.
Of course you will make excuses that he didn't mean it or something like that, after all of you read this letter. One last thing Fluttershy, if he didn't mean it then why did I let him bleed out in the town square?

Girl I don't have much to say to you. Even though we're supposed to be friends we never really talked. Not to say I don't know you, it's just that we only see each other in the group and not individually. If anything, I would tell you that diabetes does happen to anypony and you really should care about that. Just because you're the pony of parties doesn't mean you can't go into a diabetic coma.

You are personally the one I hate the most. It may be a shock to you, but no one gives a buck about you or your sister. I mean seriously, you walk around and act like you’re better than everypony else. But honestly babe, you're not. You think you’re Canterlot material, too bad you're not cut from the same cloth, right? I guess it's in the eyes of the beholder, but I know for a fact that the people of ponyville simply tolerate you.
Sweetie Belle, you seriously don't belong here but you also can't find solace anywhere else can you? You don’t even have your cutie mark, you know you can sing, yet want to be a trainwreck like your sister.
Just a question Rarity, if you're the element of generosity then why is it so hard to help your sister out? You think ponies don't hear you yell at her about stupid things like “gold thread” or “proper manners”. Have you ever stopped to think that your molding a monster. I know what Sweetie Belle will be when she finally grows up, however I'm wondering if you know.

Finally we get to the one mare in the town I can actually stand. I loved you Applejack, I really did. Of course it could never be, now that I'm a murderer and I'm sure there will be a price on my mane.
Your element is the only one I feel is a true representation of yourself. You were always honest with me, at least for my sake I hope you were. I will never forget that night after we stopped Discord, when we went back to your house just the two of us… I wonder if that stain is still in the barn? But to say that our love ends here is speaking to soon.

The first clue I'll give you is Fluttershy’s mind. She knows why I did what I did, and she knows why I left. After reading the letter the five ponies stood in a small circle, each knowing it was true. Somehow she was right about everything. However as they let their minds wander to what could have brought this about in their friend one thing was sure. They were going to find her and they were going to get answers.
