Daring Do and the Temple of Ra(pe)

"Bwahahahaha! Ahahahaha!"

"S-shut up! It's not that funny!" Daring Do said, putting on a pouting face.

Rainbow Dash couldn't help but continue laughing. "Ahahaha! You... I can't believe you went through all that just for Derpy to collect a few cocoa beans!"

Daring Do threw a pillow at Rainbow, catching the pegasus right in the face. "Hey, how was I supposed to know that she just needed those? She never told me what she was looking for until we were leaving."

"Haha! Well, it sounds like you at least managed to solve your heat problem." Dash teased. However, her joke caused Daring to go silent, her ears drooping back sadly as her eyes seemed to stare blankly at the ground.

Dash wasn't sure if she had said something wrong. "Hey, Equestria to Daring. You okay?" she asked.

It took a few moments for Daring to finally reply. "I shouldn't have accepted that last adventure." she said, burying her head in her hooves.

Rainbow could swear she heard her idol crying softly. "Hey, Daring? You okay? I was kidding, you know... Daring?" she asked, looking concerned.

A definitive sigh escaped Daring's lips. "I'm so stupid. I said I never would again! After what happened that first time..."

"First time?" Rainbow asked curiously. "What first time?"

"My... my first adventure... and..." Daring Do trailed off.

Rainbow Dash put a comforting hoof around Daring. "And? What happened on your first adventure? I don't think I've ever read about that one."

Daring looked up and saw the concern in the mare's eyes. Remembering the genuine awe and wonder Dash had shown over her personal collection of artifacts, Daring made the bold decision to open up one of her deepest, darkest secrets to her closest friend. "I never told anypony about my first adventure, but... but I think I can tell you." she said hesitantly.
