Beyond Celestia

Prologue

Hi. My name is Lily Platnum. I was raised by pirates during my fillyhood. No don't laugh. There's actually a sad twist to that story. You see, My mother was once the captain of a pirate ship. Something happened and the crew started up a mutiny. Now I know what you're thinking, how could a filly with a background in piracy end up being a member in one of the greatest missions in pony history to colonize a new world? Well it wasn't that simple. After the mutiny broke out my mother ran away with me and a generous sum of treasure. We ran as much as we could, sometimes hiding, but these brutes were determined to find us. We eventually arrived at a fence which read Celestia 3's Launchpad, and my mother made me climb over. There were guards on the far side who spotted us just before she was shot in the back of the head. The guards saved me and drove off my pursuers, but my mom was already dead.

The security ponies at Celestia 3 brought me to the team of ponies working there. I spent the next two years learning Earthpony engineering and studying Arcane programming. I was a quick study, and along with the regular education they made me follow, I became their personal little helper. I ended up getting my cutie mark in robotics. Three metal nuts surrounding a computer chip. I was so proud of my cutie mark and so were the rest of the team which I grew use to calling them my family.

The Astronaut ponies were great too. Designated heroes of Equestria, they tough me how to gamble, how to salute and how to be 20% cooler. They were like uncles. Really awesome uncles. Unfortunately, they were often absent, either because of their training or because they had to launch into space to complete their vast orbital projects.

For the past month however, the team were more on edge. The astronauts had to double their training and we were to receive an official visit from the Princess herself. This is where it all began. This is the story of Beyond Celestia.
