Chapter I

(2 1/2 months earlier)

"I AM YOUR MOTHER!" Alex's mother yelled as his friend Jessica was trying not to listen, but unfortunately they were too loud.

Alex was a 17 year old boy who treats everyone very nicely, except for when he wants something. He has orangish-red hair, is 6 foot 4, and is... fit, you could say.

Jessica was also 17 years old, she likes to hang out with her friends, but sometimes bosses them around. She's 6 foot 2, has brown hair that reaches her shoulders, and, as the boys say, have a perfect figure.

As she was trying to ignore all of the yelling, she was talking to Daniel over the phone. "They have been yelling at each other for 10 minutes."

"What are they fighting about this time?" asked Daniel

Daniel is a nice guy, some may say he's a door mat, but he can get aggressive when he is agitated, which isn't often. He's 6 foot 5, has messy brown hair that goes down to his eyebrows, and is, as well fit.

"They're fighting over going to college, I say that's nothing to fight about." said Jessica

"About which college he's going to?"

"He says that he isn't going to college, but his mother wants an educated son apparently." Jessica said looking back at the two family members.

"That's it, I'm moving out!" Alex yelled

"WHAT!?" Alex's mother and Jessica both yelled.

"You heard me, come on Jessica, we're leaving." Alex said ignoring his mother.

The 2 walked out of the house and got into Jessica's car. Alex didn't have a car, because his mother wouldn't allow it. Despite Alex's mother yelling from the doorstep, they drove off to Daniel's house.

They drove to their friend's house without a word. Alex was too pissed to talk and Jessica didn't think it was a good time to talk. They drove into Daniel's driveway and got out of the car with a dog barking at them from the fence leading to the backyard.

They lived in a peaceful and clean neighborhood where everyone would see each other and give a simple wave, rain or shine. The neighbors were very kind and if you ask for sugar, they'd give you two bags of it.

Alex knocked on Daniel's door and Daniel opened the door in 10 seconds flat. "Hey Alex, Jessica, What's up?" asked Daniel

"Hey Daniel, I'm gonna be crashing her for a while." said Alex

"Wait, what? Why?" asked Daniel

"He didn't want to live in his parent's house anymore." said Jessica

"Well, I guess he can live here for a month or two." said Daniel

"Cool, now I can finely relax... hey, do you have dead rising 3 on the Xbox one?" Alex yelled from the living room.

"Yeah I finished the gameplay last week." Daniel said back at Alex. Daniel looked back at Jessica "So, you wanna... you know... do something tomorrow?" Daniel said with a sheepish smile.

"Umm... Daniel, I already told you. I'm not into guys." Jessica said rolling her eyes.

"Which only makes you hotter." Daniel said with a goofy smile.

"We're done here." Jessica said getting back in her car and leaving.

"Well that was a one hit blunder." Alex said to Daniel.

"Shut up, let's wake up Jack." said Daniel "His bedroom is in the basement." Daniel walks downstairs and slowly opens the door. Jack was still asleep, an evil grin grew on Daniel's face. He went back up stairs and grabbed an amp and brought it back down to the basement. He plugged his guitar in the amp and turned the volume all the way up. He brought his arm up and swung the pick in his hands along the strings. With that, Jack jerked out of bed holding his ringing ears. He looked up and saw Daniel laughing his ass off.

"Oh, dick move man, dick move." said Alex going down the stairs.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!! I'M GONNA FUCKING KILL YOU!!" Jack yelled in Daniel's face.

Jack, he's got a temper, he's 6 foot 4, has black hair that is cut like the marines. He is a football player at the school and is very popular as well.

These 4 kids were going to get into something big and are going to stop it for the sake of humanity.

(15 days later)

Everyone was sleeping, it was about 12:45 AM when the national emergency alarm went off. Everyone jerked up in their beds and sleeping bags, Alex was at his new home, Daniel and Jack were there, and Jessica chose to spend the night, she chose to be in a different room than the boys. They l ran into the living room to see what's going on. The news came on saying in the headline 'Outbreak is reported, stay indoors and don't contact friends or family'. With that the TV went back to its alarm.

"Alright Charles, you need to be vey careful with this." said one of the scientists handing over some kind of blood.

"I get it, be careful with it." Charles said putting it in a case. Charles went over to the computer and started typing in a code bringing up a video. Show a bottle of blood quickly changing black within a minute or two.

"That was only a small amount of blood... bring in the first test subject." said the scientist. A few moments later another scientist came in and had a man strapped into a wheelchair. He stopped pushing the wheelchair and walked out of the room leaving 2 scientists in the room with the subject.[youtube=http://youtu.be/7UCb\_2Xu1E0]

"What the fuck is going on?" said the subject, not getting any answer from the scientists. The walked back to him with a needle and injected the same thing that they injected to the bottle of blood. Nothing happened for a moment until the subject started to scream "AGGHHH!!! GET ME OUT OF HERE, AHH!!!" with that, the subject slumped in his chair.

"Charles, check his pulse." said the scientist

"Dead... dammit." Charles swore.

"Alright, just get him out of here, we'll just make a few more tests." The scientist said while Charles rolled the wheelchair out of the lab. The scientist turned around at the computer and turned on a camera and started recording "Superhuman test #11, failed. Instead of getting tumors like the last subject, he has died within minutes. These tests aren't getting us any closer to the first superhuman, we'll run more tests when-" the scientist was cut off by screaming from behind the lab doors. He just shrugged it off and kept working, thinking it was all in his head. He kept working until the alarm went off, the speakers came on saying to evacuate the building as quickly as possible. The scientist stopped what he was doing and made a run for the exit. He didn't know what was going on, but he didn't want to stay and find out. As he turned the corner, he noticed that the was blood sprayed on the walls like spray paint. He heard moaning from behind him and turned around to see Charles standing in the middle of the hall.

"Charles, what are you doing? We have to go right n-" he was cut off as he noticed that half of Charles' face was missing and a bone poking out of his left arm. The scientist was shocked and fear froze him where he was. He couldn't run or feel his body wanting to move any time soon. Charles' disfigured body lunged at the scientist and pinned him to the ground biting into the flesh on his neck. With that the scientist let out a scream of pain.

(2 days later)

"What the hell is going on outside?" Daniel said as he opened the blinds. He saw crashed cars and people running in panic. As Daniel was staring at the mayhem, a man caught him by surprise as he jumped towards the window. His hands and face were bloody, but a little of it was black. There was what looked like a bite mark on his wrist. He just stared at Daniel without blinking and just fell to the ground.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!" yelled Jessica. She couldn't take her eyes off the window, smeared with the blood the man had on his hands. Everyone couldn't keep their eyes away from the scene, until that same man got back up, but his eyes rolled to the back of his head. His skin seemed darker and so did his veins.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!!" Alex yelled. The man looked through the window and started hitting the window, it didn't seem like the man was doing much, until the window started to crack. "Shit, we should go!" The others nodded and followed Alex out of the back door of the house. "Wait, my mom!" Alex started to run towards his parents' house. Dodging the panicking people and found his way to the house. The peaceful and clean neighborhood was now loud and destroyed, the clean houses now had blood stains on the windows and lawns. There were crashed vehicles, most of them were already parked in a driveway. The kind neighbors were now pushing each other down just to let themselves live.

He got there and heard screaming from inside the house. "MOM!" Alex yelled running inside. He found his mother pinned to the ground by another woman. Alex grabbed a hammer from his step-father's tool box.

Alex's step-father wasn't there much, he was either working or drinking with friends at any bar they could go to.

Alex pounced toward the woman and smashed her head with the hammer with 3 swings leaving a pool of blood from the open head wound. He looked back at his mother and she was losing blood from the side of her neck, she was losing a lot fast. "MOM!!"

"A-Alex" his mother said trying to speak.

"Mom... I-I'm sorry." Alex was saying through his tears. "I shouldn't have yelled at you."

"Alex, it's... It's okay, I'm *wince* I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have yelled." His mother said, who also had tears in her eyes.

"Mom... ... You can't leave now. *sniff* you just can't." Alex said with streams of tears now going down his face.

"I know how you f- feel. I've... lost a loved one... when that l-lived one dies, you have to let go."

"No. DON'T SAY THAT, WE... WE CAN GET YOU DOCTOR, JUST PLEASE... Don't leave me."

"I love you, Alex. I've always have, when we fought, it hurt my heart to see you so upset."

"... I... I..."

"I love you... so m-much." Those were her last words before she bled out. Leaving Alex on his knees sobbing.

---- Equestria ----

(2 months later)

"So Twilight, what'd the princesses need us for?" asked Rainbow dash.

Twilight and the others were sitting on the train to Canterlot. "Well, the princess said she needed us and it was very urgent and she needed the elements of harmony, she didn't say anything other than that." Twilight said with a nervous look on her face.

"Well, if the Princess needed the elements ahm pretty sure that it's gonna be big." Applejack said.

"I wonder what it's gonna be about, maybe a dragon attacking manehattan, or a giant gorrila climbing up a huge tower." said Pinkie Pie. Her friends have her a confused look, especially when she mentioned a giant gorrila. Though they just shrugged and continue to have their conversations.

Rarity was talking to Fluttershy about her dress designs. Twilight was talking to Applejack about... something that eggheads talk about, and Rainbow was talking to Pinkie about pranks and her stunts.

They talked until they arrived at Canterlot. Twilight still had an uneasy look on her face. Some royal guards were waiting for them at the station and they escorted them to the castle and into the throne room.

"Princess celestia." Twight said with a smile on her face and her and her friends bowed.

"Hello, my little ponies. I hope the quick summoning was no trouble." Celestia said

"No trouble at all Princess, so you said you wanted us for something very urgent?" Twilight said it more like a question than a statement.

"Yes, Luna and I have been watching over this world for some time and we now know that the world needs your help." Celestia said

"Wait, you mean another world? An alien world?!" Rainbow asked. Celestia nodded "So. Awesome." Rainbow said squishing her cheeks with her front hooves.

"Wait, ya said that this world needs our help?" Applejack asked. Celestia once again nodded.

"Well, w-what's the matter, if you don't mind me asking." Fluttershy said

Celestia smiled then quickly became serious "Follow me." The 6 did what they were told and followed celestia to a different room. It was Luna's room, they entered and Luna was paying attention to a sphere that seemed to be made if liquid. Her attention snapped to the 6 and celestia when the door closed. "Ah, we are happy to see that the elements are here."

"Yes, they've agreed to help with the other world's problem." Celestia said

Luna's ears splayed backwards and her eyes shrunk a little. "Yes... um... we would like to show thou something."

Twilight and her friends exchanged worried glances, even Pinkie wasn't smiling. They trotted to the weird sphere and saw a town through it. "A... town?"

"Indeed, but it is what's happening in and around the town." The sphere shriveled for a few seconds and then showed many creatures running down the streets pushing and shoving. The sphere changed view to another creature running down an alley way only to be stopped by another creature, but it had rotting skin and bite marks over its body and some organs hanging out. With that everypony held their muzzles with their hooves, keeping themselves from throwing up. Fluttershy however looked like she was going to faint at any second.

"W-what is that?" Twilight asked, nopony answered. They just stared at the sphere in terror. The undead creature was stumbling towards the other creature and it ran. Unfortunately, it took a wrong turn and it was cornered by the undead. The creature stood there frightened and was ready to die. It was grabbed by the undead and was getting eaten. That time Rarity ran to the nearest bathroom, and Applejack threw up in her Stetson. Fluttershy fainted, twilight and rainbow stared at the sphere horrified and pinkie's hair has gone straight.

"That... That..." Twilight was trying to say something, but it wouldn't come out.

Luna looked over at them and said "There is more."

Everypony looked back at the sphere and saw the dead creature, lying on the ground for a minute or two, but it started to twitch. It got back up slowly, it's skin and veins have gotten darker, and it's eyes rolled to the back of its head and was bloodshot.

"That... That can't be possible." Twilight stated "That can't be possible, how is that possible?"

"We've been looking into this world and we discovered that there was a disease that takes over the brains of the dead." Celestia said. "That is where you, Twilight and your friends, come in. There is a queen, but it has a field of magic surrounding it... we cannot say where it is and where the sphere will send you, but I have faith in you my faithful student." Celestia said with a motherly smile.

Twilight took a deep breath and turned around and said "You girls ready?" Twilight said, she had fear in her voice. The group was quiet for a minute or 2, until they sighed and nodded.

"I wish you the best of luck, my little ponies, and I must warn you, those things also attack animals." Celestia said

The girls looked at each other and nodded. The group of 6 jumped through the sphere and were sent to the new world.

"Do you think they can do it Tia?" Luna asked

"I have faith in them, they are the elements of harmony." Celestia said staring at the sphere with worry.
