Being the Princess of Evil
Chapter 1
Load Full StoryAll in all, my life isn’t half bad.
Despite my inability to fly, I have a good home – I live with a mailmare named Ditzy. She gave me a place to stay after her eldest daughter moved out. Don’t let her looks fool you. Even though she can be clumsy, she can do anything once she sets her mind to it.
I have friends named Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom, and together we are the Cutie Mark Crusaders.
Not to mention, my awesome “big sister”, Rainbow Dash!
However, there has been one thing on my mind; I’ve never really told anyone this. But every week I go out to the side of the forest to call out and see if my mother is out there, somewhere, waiting for me. I have a feeling something good is going to happen today, I just know it.

Quietly, I snuck through Ponyville, intent on getting to the forest. Luckily, nopony really cared what I was doing. I am a Cutie Mark Crusader after all, we’re considered the troublesome ones.
The outer side of the forest had a nice scent of pine needles to it, carried by the gentle breeze flowing through Equestria today. I sighed, looking up at the clouds. Please, Celestia, give me something. I begged.
I closed my eyes and craned to face the sky. “MOM!!” I shouted.
Nothing.
I shivered, heart pounding. “MOM!” I cried out again.
Silence.
I called out again and again, but never got a response.
I collapsed to the ground, crying heavily. I just thought that…today was the day…I would see her… I should have never gotten my hopes up…I shouldn’t have even tried this, how stupid could I be-?!
My mental ranting was cut off by somepony crying out. My ears perked as I attempted to catch the sound. Was someone crying out “Sister”…? Yes, someone was definitely calling out for their sister…but whom?
No sooner had I stood upright, I was tackled down by a dark brown blur. “Sister, sister, sister!” it cried. I looked up at my attacker, ready to slap some sense into it, but saw something that surprised me. It was quite possibly the weirdest pony I’ve ever seen. She was dark brown, like I wrote before, with bright green, reptilian looking eyes. Her wings looked like a cross between a bat and a bug, and she her hooves were covered with holes. The only relatively normal thing about her was her mane, which had a very messy style toward the front and was dark blue. She looked like she was a little younger than me.
“Wh-what are you rambling on about?!” I snapped. She seemed offended.
“Come on, Scoota. We’re sisters! Don’t you remember?”
I blinked. I don’t know if this filly was crazy, she was a stalker, or if it was April fool’s Day. “Uh, sorry, kid. I don’t know you. How do you know my first name?”
She grinned like she was proud of something. “I know more than your first name, Scoota Marie Loo~” she laughed, “or Scootaloo~”
…this was just crazy. Completely crazy. “Seriously, I don’t know you! Can you please get off of me?” She sighed and backed off. I slowly got back up, and planned a quick getaway.
“Why don’t you fly away?” She asked suddenly. I turned to her with a skeptical eyebrow raised. “You’re a Pegasus. Fly away if you’re scared.” She seemed amused as rapidly flapped my wings to no avail.
“I…can’t fly,” I informed her slowly.
She grinned and walked over to me. She fiddled with my wings for a while. “That’s cuz you aren’t supposed to fly with those wings. You’re supposed to fly…” She flapped her own webbed, holey wings, “…with these.”
I rolled my eyes. “You’re kidding. How can you possibly fly with tho-“
No sooner had I nearly finished my sentence had she picked me up, started rapidly beating her wings (which made the most annoying buzzing sound ever), and picked me up off the ground. Soon enough, we were in the clouds. I don’t think even Rainbow can pick up speed with a passenger that fast. I stared at her angrily. “THAT…is not even fair.”
She laughed. “This is how you’re supposed to fly, but we’ll get back to that later.”
I sighed as we dropped back to the ground. “That was fun and all, seriously. But who are you, what do you want from me, and how do you really know me?”
Her green eyes sparkled mysteriously. “I’m Withering Willow, your sister. I’m here so we can find our mother.”
