//-------------------------------------------------------// On-board the Ship -by generalderpy014- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Harvest //-------------------------------------------------------// The Harvest “This harvest is rather boring don’t you think?” Asked my second in charge. Blue Note is his name, a young and adventurous stallion. His dark blue mane accompanied by his blue coat stand in stark contrast with our surrounding, an observation room painted orange for unknown reason. He had been working under me for almost two years, and had been rising in position far faster than anypony I know. I will be retiring soon, and he will most likely take my position, who else can match his organizing skill? My job isn’t easy, organizing and directing all these harvests took a toll on me, I am not young. I can no longer spend days without sleep getting something done, I simply do not have that kind of energy anymore. “Miss Twilight?” Asked Blue Note again, pulling me out of my musing. “Hmm? Oh yes, yes, its rather uneventful. But isn’t that good?” “But just sitting here watching is soooo boring. Watching harvests stops being interesting after a few dozen times.” I could still remember his face when he saw his first harvest, he was just a colt back then. Brought to watch by his mother, one of the scribes. His face was that of amazement, of excitement. I don’t share his feelings though, I never enjoyed harvests. I simply couldn’t. Creatures are killing each other down there, down in the massive growth deck. Endless swarm of these bugs called Tyranids fought and devoured a similarly endless tide of greenskins, or orks as they called themselves. Both are monsters, one born with unsatisfiable hunger whose sole drive is to eat, and the other born with extreme aggressiveness who fight everything, pony, tyranid or even human. Even thought those fighting below were monsters they are still living creatures, looking at them tearing each other apart still made me sicked. In the end the tyranids will devour all the orks, I need to make sure of that, then they will be guided back to their digestion pool. There some of them will be digested, and be remade into foodstuff or other essentials. The remaining tyranids will be used for the next harvest. This system was developed Emperor... Hehe, funny how I now use that, Celestia knows how long ago by the humans. Maybe a few centuries after the Ship was finished? I will never know. The brutal harvest was developed for the generation of materials and as a solution for the Ork and Tyranid infestation problem. Recycling isn’t 100% efficient, and new raw material is needed to sustain everypony and everyone on board. I learnt that the orks are actually fungus, a fungus that can grow on almost anything. They grew even if all common sense told you that they should have not. I still do not know where they get the necessary nutrients for growth, nor where they get all the materials to build all their crude war machines. All I know is that they do, and it will sustain us. The tyranids were used as a biological processing machine, they were directed to the orks by purposefully inserted genestealers. Cut off from the hive mind the tyranids are but mindless beasts, attracted to the psychic, or magical as we use to call it, beacon of the genestealers. This is why it is called the harvest. We are harvesting the orks like one would harvest wheat. It is my job to ensure this cycle goes on without any problem, for it will be disastrous if something went wrong. It is not a job I liked, but it is a job I must do. Last time some tyranids got loose, being severed from their hive mind they did the only thing they could do, kill and devour. They rampaged through the hive city I called home, killing hundreds of millions before they are stopped. It was a tragic day, it gotten so bad humans need to be called in. It was only with the help of the imperial guard that we managed to stop the escaped tyranids. Luckily the lost of human life was minimal, or I will most certainly be executed. Even though that was an incident that happened almost a century ago it still haunts me to this very day. The screams of innocent ponies, shouts of the brave royal guards that try to fight the swarm off, the cries of despair. It was too much, much I had seen during my life, too much, and that was the worst. I blamed myself for what happened, and I was depressed for a long time, but eventually I got over it. I realized that getting depressed over it is unproductive and so I pull myself back together, and I swear to never let something similar to happen ever again. It was no wonder that I find a perfectly uneventful harvest being good. “You are still young Blue, you will learn to appreciate a calm harvest eventually,” if harvests can be called calm that is. Blue Note sighed, “yeah, you said that every time. The harvest is still going to go on for HOURS, and there is nothing to do but wait,” said Blue Note before he sighed again. “How about I tell you a story?” “Really?” “Yes, and I will tell you one that I had never told anypony before, the story of the boarding.” “REALLY!?” Blue Note exclaimed, excitement clearly in his voice. “You heard it right,” I said with a smile, “do me a favor and call the others too, this is a chance none of you want to miss.” “OK, I’LL BE RIGHT BACK!” Shouted Blue Note before running off. I do not need to wait long before a sizable crowd gathered. All of them radiating excitement and curiosity, for this was a tale shrouded in legend and mystery. I am one of the few ponies still alive who had been there to experience it, the boarding, the boarding onto the Ship, the Ship that is all, the Ship that moves. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Begining of the End //-------------------------------------------------------// The Begining of the End “Our tale begun a long long time ago, when I was still young, when ponies still live on a planet.” “What’s a planet?” Asked a filly, no doubt brought here to learn her parent’s job. A job she would most likely do for the rest of her life, and her descendants after her. “A planet is an astronomical object that is massive enough to be rounded by its own gravity, but not massive enough to cause thermonuclear fusion,” I recited, the long years not having an effect on my love of reading and memorizing facts and figures, “a planet is so big that when we stand on it the ground looks flat instead of curving!” “Wow...” a chorus of exclamations resounded through the room, never in their life had they heard something so mysterious before. Only the most obscure legends and myths talked about planets, our home in the distant past. “Are planets bigger than the Ship?” Asked another filly in an almost fearful voice. “No my dear, planets, although big, are nothing compared to the Ship. Nothing, and I mean it when I say nothing is bigger than the ship. Not after all those millennia of voyage before they finally ran into us. The Ship grows after all.” “What is it like living on a planet? Legends say that there are no bulkheads between those living there and the great void!” Fearful eyes looked at each other and towards me as the stallion finished his sentence. So much had changed. Using my most reassuring voice I replied, “oh it was wonderful. The void was never one of our concern, for you see the planet’s gravity pulled all of us towards the ground, and the air too. So there was never any worry about being sucked into the void.” “But what if someone or something turned the gravity off? Or if the gravity generators malfunctioned?” Yet another fearful question in the minds of the collective ponies. “Oh the planet’s gravity is not artificial, its natural, it exist because of how massive the planets were.” “Ohhh” “Now back to the previous question. Planets are wonderful, plants and animals everywhere, lush forests, clean streams and much much more. Ponies live in small villages, we farm, we party and have fun. Now lets not get too sidetracked, back to the story. It all started that one night, that night six hundred and seventy two years ago.” “Twilight~” whined Spiked, “its sooooo late now, can we just sleep?” “Come on Spike just I more, last one, I promise!” “Fine, but don’t expect me to wake up early tomorrow morning okay?” “Okay Spike, you can sleep as long as you want,” with Spike settled Twilight turned her telescope towards the last constellation she was going to study tonight. “Hmmm, Spike could you bring the book over there to me?” Pointing at a book titled ‘The Visual Book of Constellations’ without taking her eyes off the telescope. After getting the book from Spike she turned towards the last page, on top it was written ‘The Ever Changing Constellation of Vex’. “Spike don;t you find this interesting? A Constellation that change every year! Not even princess Luna could control it! This is amazing!” “Okay Twilight, whatever you say.” “But with each successive year the constellation would grow in size, leaving an ever growing patch of darkness in its center,” Twilight read off the book, “now that is weird. Spike mind sending princess Luna a letter? Spike?” Turning around she found Spike asleep, being unable to keep himself awake at 2 am in the morning. Smiling she levitate Spike back into her house and help him into bed before doing so herself, satisfied with the day’s observation. Several months later... “There’s nothing to worry about Twilight, its just another weird phenomena that happens to Equestria all the time,” said Luna while enjoying a cup of tea. “But it had already swallowed several other constellations and distorted many more.” “It also make the night sky so much more colorful! All those shifting colors are beautiful!” “That is another issue that worries me, Pinkie felt a very big doozy when she looked at it. A very very big one, and Bon Bon swear she saw a face in those colors.” “Now that is just silly. We think the more concerning issue is about the disturbance in the arcane plane.” “Ahh yes, I felt it too. Something is disturbing the plane, something... Emotional.” “Celestia had asked us to ask you to study the arcane plane. She had a very bad feeling about it, I felt uneasy about it too, so please Twilight focus on this first okay?” “Okay princess,” said Twilight defeated. “Now if you want to I had reserved some rooms in the royal hotel in Canterlot. You may bring your friends there if you want. We will be very glad to spend more time with our friends.” “Thank you! I’m sure Rarity would love that!” Both of them shared a smile before Luna bid her goodbye. “Hmmm the night sky had changed a lot recently, don’t you think so Twi?” Asked Rarity. The mane 6 were relaxing at the balcony of Rarity’s room in the Canterlot Royal Hotel, the most luxurious hotel in all of Equestria. “Indeed it has,’ replied Twilight. The night sky was now dominated by shifting colors, beautiful yet dread instilling. “I think its AWESOME! Just look at it and tell me how it is NOT awesome,” commented Rainbow Dash. “Something keep giving me doozies, it happen every time I looked at the sky! And I keep feeling something is staring at us, are you THERE!” Shouted Pinkie before jumping up and turning 180 degrees mid air to face a blank wall, “hmmph, I will catch you one day! I pinkie promise!” They all giggled at their friend’s antics, but all of them knew something must be going on. Pinkie don’t have doozies without reason. “Well I think the colors are nice, but its scaring the animals. My poor poor friends are hiding at night now, I think they are scared of the colors.” Said Fluttershy in a sad tone, she was very concerned about the animals under her care. “Well ah can’t say much but ah don’t like them funny colors, something just feels wrong about it.” Said Applejack. “Well I think...” Before Twilight could continue her sentence green flame burst open in front of her face, sending Twilight jumping high into the air. “Waoh! Is this how Celestia feels every time I send her a report? No wonder she asked me to send her only when I had learnt something new.” “What’s the letter about Twilight?” Asked a curious Rainbow Dash. “Lets see... Trixie... Ponyville... Oh no... This is impossible!” “What happened? Trixie returned?” Asked Rainbow Dash again. “Yes and she... She... Captured ponyville,” said Twilight, her face his terror, “she is holding the ponies there prisoners!” “She... She... How could she do that! That brute! I thought she was just another pony who have a large ego and like bragging, but this!” Raged Rarity. “We need to go back, now, hold on girls.” “Twilight are you going to teleport? Because ahhhhhh!” Applejack manage to blur out before the entire goup disappeared in a bright flash. “Trixie, how could you do this?” Shouted Twilight who just teleported with her friends and arrived just beyond the massive shield Trixie erected around ponyville. Standing directly across them behind the shield was Trixie, a disgruntled Spike was held in chains beside her and several foals were locked up in cages behind. “Oh my Spiky, are you alright?” Asked Rarity, concern clear on her face. “Trixie let GO of me,” shouted Spike. “Yes yes, your anger, your fear they are tasty, they are good. Twilight, you have finally arrived. You cast me out last time, destroying my life and my career. I will let you know that now I HAVE RETURNED MORE POWERFUL AND GREATER THAN EVER!” Shouted Trixie, the last part of her sentence was shouted in a voice so disturbing everypony around them had to cover their ears. There is something fundamentally wrong about the voice, as if it radiates pure evil and chaos. The same could be said about Trixie’s eyes, something lurk behind those eyes, Twilight didn’t know what was, but what ever it is, it can’t be good. “Trixie, why are you holding Spike and foals prisoner? If this is a personal grudge settle it with me, you don’t need to bring other ponies into this.” Said Twilight as she stepped forward from the group. “Hahahahaha, oh yes I will settle this Twilight, I will make you feel the pain you inflicted on me, I will make you feel it. Yes, yes, you will live the rest of your insignificant life in misery, I will make sure of that,” said Trixie with venom before throwing off her cloak, “and I will start by taking away all that you love.” Twilight was too shocked to retort, merely fixing her gaze on Trixie, then something caught her eyes. Trixie’s cutie mark changed. No longer was it the wand and a crescent moon, it changed into a black 8 pointed star. A symbol that made Twilight recoil in disgust and fear, she didn;t know why, but the symbol is wrong, very wrong. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chaos //-------------------------------------------------------// Chaos “Twilight?” Asked Blue Note softly, frowning in concern, “are you alright?” “I’m fine,” I whispered as I felt drop of tear run down my cheek, “I’m alright, its just... Lets get back to the story. “NOOOOO!” Twilight’s hoarse screams echoed by Spike’s screams of agony, “STOP IT, TRIXIE. STOP IT, PLEASE, I BEG YOU... Please, just stop... Please. Celestia please help... Stop... please...” Twilight broke into tears as she fell onto her knees. Applejack and Fluttershy was by her side, but no comforting words came. How could anypony endure something like this? They tried to say something, but no words came, they themself were on the verge of breaking down. Rainbow Dash and Rarity were pounding at the dome furiously, their rage filled shouts drowned Twilight’s whimpers. Pinkie Pie just sat there, deflated, quiet and unmoving, staring into the space in front of her, for how could she react? “Feel the pain Twilight, yes, yes, your suffering makes Trixie happy,” said the corrupted mare as she tortured Spike, but its not just mere torture of the flesh, this was worse. Even as Spike’s body was cut apart his soul shattered, and it was used to power some dark unspeakable ritual. “Soon the whole of Equis will fall. Soon the whole of Equis will see the power of Trixie and her gods!” As she finished her monologue the last of Spike’s blood was spilled, and the last rune was completed. Ignoring the pleas to stop and the screams of revenge Trixie proceed to snatch the foals out of their cage. Each was brought to a rune and sacrificed, their blood spilled over the runes and boiled. Even as the dark ritual proceed the heavens changed. No more was the blue sky and the warm sun, the land was not bask in shadows however. Strange coruscating colored light replace the natural sunlight. Churning storms of ever changing clouds replaced the blue sky, the sky was now so unreal and so chaotic that even looking at it hurt the eyes. The churning storm seemed to battle against an invisible shield, as if it was trying to reach the surface. Pulsing waves of emotion wash through Equis, every being with a soul feel it, every emotion amplified tenfold. Across Equis minor annoyance turned into burning hatred, small attraction turned into uncontrollable lust, minor setbacks caused unrecoverable despair and small wishes turned into the greatest ambitions. Even the mane 6 was affected, for even the purest being could be corrupted by chaos. “Look at yourself Twilight, look at how pathetic you are. So weak, so useless, so unintelligent,” mocked Trixie with an evil smile, “where is Celestia Twilight, had she abandoned you? Maybe you don’t worth her time, maybe you failed too many times, or maybe she never loved you. You are just another failure, another waste of her time, another defective pony. Your world ends now Twilight, and you will end with it.” With that Trixie ripped out the last colt’s still beating heart and spilled his blood over the star of chaos in the middle of the runes. It was then the thin barrier between reality and the immaterium broke, and the warp spilled through. “Twilight! Twilight! We need to go now!” Yelled Rainbow Dash over the deafening noise, a combination of unpony shrieks, agonized screams, ear piercing screeches and more incomprehensible sounds. “Twilight come,” asked Fluttershy gently, “we need to find the princesses now, we need to save those that could still be saved.” Twilight came to her senses suddenly, looking around she noticed many changes. Ponyville turned into a charnel house, daemons roamed freely, slaughtering its inhabitants. The mountains crumble and was remade, the very ground crack and shattered, creating lightless abysses. The rivers were no longer clear, now pus and blood and other bodily fluid flow in it. It was a horrifying scene, it was insanity, it was chaos. She did not move, how could she? Rife with sorrow and despair, why should she live? Everything Trixie said was true, she was a failure. Spike was dead now, the ponies of Ponyville was dying too, murdered and defiled by the minions of chaos. Why should she move? What hope is there? The world is going to end, and it was all her fault. “Twilight, look atme,” said Fluttershy, an unusual calmness and confidence radiates from her words. Even as the world fall apart around them she did not collapse, she did not hide, she did not despair. With a gentle hoof Fluttershy lift Twilight’s face up, and they locked eyes. “Twilight, expand your senses, feel the surrounding, find the light.” Twilight obliged, for Fluttershy spoke with an unopposable authority. She let loose her magical senses, she felt the arcane plane, it was defiled. The once peaceful plane was now a churning ocean, great storms of psychic energy rage across it, hordes of daemons and other unspeakable creatures fought across the plane, it was pure chaos. Twilight physically convulsed from feeling such unholy things,, and went into further despair, but she pushed on. In the endless insanity of chaos she found something, a beacon, a star, a light that brought hope. The light pierce the shroud of foul warp stuff, and Twilight latch onto it, unwilling to move her gaze away. “I see it, its... Its beautiful,” said Twilight in a whisper. Then she felt it, gone was her despair, in its place courage, hope and determination took over. She could feel a presence, pure and brilliant, it wash over her and she could feel it empowering her. Twilight stood, clear of doubt, Trixie was walking towards them, no, not Trixie, a daemon that possessed Trixie’s body. Her blue mane drench in blood, her teeth was sharpened into fangs, mutations cover her body, tumors, horns, tentacles and other unholy parts. The creature was a twisted nightmare, just like all creatures of chaos. “You will not take our home monster!” Shouted Twilight before focusing her magic. Twilight could feel the presence empowering her, on top of her own magic large amount of harmonic power was channeled into her, just like the power that come from the Elements of Harmony. The foul warp tried to invade her soul, but failed, and with one mighty blast the accumulated power surge forth from her horn. “Anathema!” Was the last words of the daemon before being vaporized by the brilliant beam. “Twilight, you felt it too?” Asked Rainbow Dash. Taking in a deep breath Twilight replied, “yes Rainbow.” “Then lets go, there is no time to loose!” “Wait, where did the others go?” Asked Twilight, who just noticed that three of her friends were missing. “Oh no,” whispered Fulttershy, her eyes shrunk into pinpricks, “they went to rescue their family and friends. We need to help them! And the animals!” “But the princess! They need to know!” “”Its alright Rainbow, go help them, I will inform the Princesses. I can teleport, flying there will be too dangerous.” “But...” “Please Rainbow, they need you, I will come back as soon as possible,” said Twilight as she prepare to teleport. “Okay Twilight, be careful. Com’on Fluttershy, lets go.” Twilight watched as her two friends ran into Ponyville, battling rampaging daemons. Their touch burned the daemon flesh off with ease. Returning her focus Twilight prepared the teleportation spell and in a bright flash she was gone. Normally teleportation would be almost instantaneous, but now with the arcane plane breached and raw warp stuff pouring in teleportation became a hundred times slower and a thousand times more dangerous. Twilight could not even tell if she was actually teleporting if not for the protective magical bubble that came with teleportation that surround her. For the barriers between realities was breached, and now she need to navigate the insane realm that was the immaterium. Riding warp currents, dodging the occasional islands may be once part of Equis, evading hordes of daemons and weathering the raging storms. Just when she was about the reach her destination a greater daemon of Tzeentch appeared out of nowhere. Twilight was unable to change course and collide with it, although her touch burned and badly injured it she herself was knock out of her travel. Unwillingly tossed back to the material universe, if there was still one. She materialize just outside of Canterlot, the scene around her was horrifying. Here the warp and the material universe almost fused into one, the two plane of existence battled for supremacy, and the immaterium was winning. Having no choice Twilight traveled by hoof, and it was even harder than teleportation, because now there was no protective magic bubble to protect her. Twilight ran, using the golden light as a reference point she ran towards Canterlot. The hell scape around her was ever changing, for a moment she was running on dry dirt then the gound in front of her broke and an bottomless chasm formed. Unable to stop Twilight tumbled down. Time lost all its meaning and Twilight fell for all eternity, down the infinite depth. At the bottom of the bottomless chasm Twilight fell into oblivion, there was no sound, no light, no existence, no nothing. Yet she felt a river and jumped into it, tumbling and whirling in the river she was washed into a rapid, suddenly all her senses came back and she tasted blood. The river of blood brought her to a bloodfall, unable to swim to the shore she tumbled over the edge and fell towards the sky. Packs of furies descend upon her and tried to rip her apart, she blasted with magic and ripped the rest apart with her barehoof. With the final fury dispatched she noticed a stairway. Grabbing onto the stairway she started to climb. She climbed up, down, in, out (DkA&#Y3h73la and through the stairways. Hordes of daemons and chaos spawns littered the stairway, each group was dispatched, each group was defeated. When she finally arrive at where she begun she jumped down and fell into a garden of rot and decay. Avoiding the teeming daemons of Nurgle and killing those which can’t be avoided. Finally she found a cocoon and ripped it open. Jumping in she jefi3a%pl2*h2g^ shot out of a rotten corpse of a mare. Looking around she notice she was a little bit closer to Canterlot. Twilight pushed on, swimming across a ocean of acidic pus aff#wfg*jjad and sink towards the bottom, she found a cave and pull herself in. There she ran into the sun and scale its surface. Closely dogging a burning daemon she dug into the ground. Two hours before she started she reached the end and found a pond. Hopping in she then sfei jkeuffefjka ran towards the do3ooiefei&fkalj@5djsfireajaraging6storm[djuaahjd’nk018ads3qjhH^Tjkh@T^jkhH#9juahfekjladk “Twilight!” Shouted Blue Note, “maybe you should stop describing your journey.” “I’ll go fetch another bucket,” said a blue stallion as he left the room. I vomited again as I recalled bits and pieces of that journey. It made me sick and gave me a severe headache. I could not remember the journey in whole, no pony could remember their time in the warp fully without going insane. Calming myself and clearing my head I manage to not vomit again. Even now, centuries after the experience I am still having nightmares. The horror and insanity was simply too much. Thanking a mare for the cup of water she offered me I took a sip and continued. Finally Twilight managed to reached the Royal Palace of the princesses, it was the only place that was being shielded against the warp. Passing through the protective barrier Twilight collapse out of exhaustion. Two guards carried her to the infamy where she was given some potion to replenish her strength, at the same time another guard delivered the message of her arrival to the princesses. All Twilight could do was lying down, even after two bottles of the potion. She felt horrible, her entire body was aching. After a few minutes resting she finally managed to sit up, just in time to see princess Celestia trot in. “Princess, you are alright!” Twilight exclaimed, “what should we do princess? Horrible things are happening, I can’t... I don’t..... I don’t know what to do.” Ended Twilight with tears, what she had seen was simply too much. “Twilight,” said Celestia in her motherly tone, placing a reassuring hoof on Twilight’s shoulder she continued, “it will be over soon, Luna had almost finished her preparation.” “Preparation for what?” “The activation of a device. Chaos had found their way in sooner than expected.” “Device? What device? Wait... Sooner than expected?” Asked Twilight in a confused tone, “what do you mean princess? Did you know this was going to happen?” “Yes Twilight,” said Celestia with sorrow, “after a few days of study Luna and I found out what was causing the disturbance in the night sky.” “You could have told me! Then we could have find a solution! Spike would not have died!” Shouted Twilight, her anger soon turn into sorrow and she broke down crying. Celestia embraced her student in a tight hug, slowly stroking her mane, comforting her. “I’m sorry Twilight, I really am. I never thought it would come to this, I had underestimated chaos’s corruptive power. I’m sorry Twilight, I should had told you the truth, but... But I just couldn’t bring myself to tell you the end of the world is nearing.” “Are we all going to die Princess?” Twilight asked with a sob. “No Twilight, not if the device activates.” “What is the device?” Celestia release Twilight from her embrace and stood up, “can you walk Twilight?” “I think I can,” said Twilight before standing up with wobbling legs. “Come, walk with me, Luna will be ready soon.” The duo walked down a stairwell, towards the dungeons, as they walk Celestia explained, “the device was found by me a long time ago. Soon after the defeat of Nightmare Moon, I found it in the caves of Canterlot mountain. It was why Canterlot was built. I did not know its purpose back then, I just knew it was something ancient and powerful. Only after decades studying the most ancient lores I discovered its purpose. It fends of chaos from the arcane plane, or the warp as the lores called it. The arcane plane was stabilized by the device passively. But now, we are plunged into a warp storm, a very violent one, and the only way to save Equestria and Equis is to activate the device.” “How long will the device last? When will the storm end?” “I don’t know Twilight, I don’t know. The device had endured for thousands of years, so I hope it will continue for thousands more.” “So when it is activated all the monsters outside will be destroyed?” “I think so,” replied Celestia, “we have arrived.” In front of them was a set of grey metal doors, it was unlike any door Twilight had ever seen. Beside the door was some sort of machinery, with small buttons and a flat glowing glass plane. Celestia proceed to press some of the buttons and the door opened with a hiss. Behind the door was a spherical room, walkways were stuck to the walls and a massive contraception stand in the middle of the room. “Wow, who built these?” Asked Twilight, her curiosity piqued. “We do not know, but whoever built it was gone, they left no trace behind,” answered Celestia, “Luna are you done?” “Almost sister, just one more moment.... And... There!” “Sorry Twilight, but you can’t follow me in. Me and Luna will activate the device now,” said Celestia as she walked through the door. Pressing an unseen button the doors started to close. “Wait princess!” “I’m sorry Twilight, I’m sorry that this had happened,” said Celestia in a sad tone, “you are and will always be my best student.” Celestia was almost ceying now, tears well up in her eyes, “you are like a daughter to me, live on Twilight. Never give up, never. Lead the ponies of Equestria to a better tomorrow, they will need you. Goodbye.” Tears was streaming down as Celestia finished. From the back of the room came Luna’s voice, “Twilight, you will always be my best friend, never forget my sister’s words. Goodbye.” “Wait, Celestia, Luna, what is happening! Why are you saying goodbye?” Finally recovering from her shock and confusion Twilight ran forward, but it was too late, the door was almost shut. “I love you Twilight,” said Celestia before the gap disappears. “Princess! Celestia! Wait, I love you too, please wait...” Twilight collapse again in front of the unmoving metal door. A deep rumbling could be heard, then screams, the barriers protecting the palace had failed. Twilight started sobbing again, she curled up and leaned against the metal doors. Confused and lost, and a realization that she would most probably never see her mentor again. She stay motionless even as a group of daemonette found their way down and rushed towards Twilight. Just before the daemonettes could sink their claws into Twilight’s flesh a high pitched whine was heard. Then a blinding wave of energy surge out of the closed room, the daemonettes vaporized as the energy washed over their forms, Twilight drop unconscious just a moment after. The tidal wave of energy continued onward, sweeping across the entire planet, burning away chaos as it goes. Equestria and Equis was safe once more, for now.
