Chapter 1 Prismo
It was a bright day in the land of Ooo. As the sun rose over the fields, two smoking figures approached from out of the forest. Finn and Jay, who were riddled with nicks, scorch marks, and cuts and bruises covering their bodies, slowly and semi limped over the grass covered hill.
“Hot Jam! You throttled that fire beast like a pro!” Jay exclaimed. “Yea”, Finn responded dryly.
Jay could tell something was wrong with his bro.He had known the boy long enough to recognize when something is up.
“Hey man, why you acting so moody?” he asked. “I don’t know”, Finn said shrugging, “I guess it’s just this mundane routine. I mean, every day, we go out, we fight something, we get lunch, then we just laze around the den till night comes, then slowly drift off to sleep. It gets boring after a while”. “Yea I know what you mean man”, Jay sympathized, “it gets old, doing the same thing, day in day out.”
The snow white dog thought for a moment.
“Well what do you want to do before lunch today?” He asked. “I don’t know", Finn said, "when Billy was bored with his life; he went off, befriended a flying horse, and found a kick butt adventure”. “You saying you want to catch a magic horse?” Jay asked. “No”, Finn answered, “but that would be fun. Actually, it’d be cool if there were a whole village of magic horses. They would have their own markets, their own houses, and their own kingdom”. “You and your wacky imagination”, Jay chuckled synically. “No man I’m serious!” Finn insisted, “what if there was a world populated only by horses?”
Jay thought for a moment.
“Well there is one person we could talk to about that”, Jay said.
Finn knew exactly who Jay was talking about. A few minutes later, they were standing in the Time Room, standing in front of the powerful wish master known as Prismo. As soon as they had arrived, Jay explained their situation to their magical friend.
“And so, that’s why we’re here”, Jay said, finishing his story. “So you guys wanna see a universe ruled by horses”? Prismo asked, seeing if he had things straight.
Finn saw that Prismo suspiciously averted his eyes away from them.
“Prismo”, Finn said curiously, “what aren’t you telling us?”
Prismo couldn’t withstand Finn’s “shakedown” face.
“Oh alright”! Prismo began,” I know of this one place, its called Equestria ”.
Slowly Prismo motioned his hand up the wall, and a small viewing portal appeared. Instantly, Finn and Jay saw an entire village overrun with horses, horses of many colors I might add, and even different kinds of horses; there were unicorns, and pegasi, and even regular horses. Horses pulling carts, horses buying things, and a whole bunch of other stuff.
“Wow cow chow”! Finn exclaimed, “That place looks crazy fun!” “A little too girly if you ask me”, Jay observed. “Are you sure this is what you want?” Prismo asked cautiously.
Finn eagerly shook his head.
“Hang on a second”, Jay interrupted, “if we’re gonna go dimension flopping, then we’re gonna need some gear.”
In a flash, Finn’s Demon Sword and Jay’s Sword appeared in front of them.
“Thanks man” Finn said. “No biggie bro”, Prismo said with a smile.
They two boys both looked over at the portal. Finn, slowly shaking with excitement, gripped the handle of his sword and slipped it into the strap of his backpack.
“You ready?” He asked Jay. “As ready as I was born to be”, Jay answered sarcastically.
And with a deep breath, the boys ran to the portal, and jumped through. Immediately, they were caught in a swirling vortex. As they yelled and screamed, they swirled around, until finally, they vanished.

Chapter 2 Escape from Everfree
Suddenly, in a flash of yellow, pink and blue, the boys found themselves in a dark forest. As they looked around, they saw that all the trees looked as if they were coming at them.
“Are we at the right place?” Jay said his voice trembling a little. “Prismo never pulled up a second portal”, Finn evaluated, “maybe we should ask for directions”.
They looked around for any sign of life. Jay’s eyes quickly fell upon a small picket sign.
“Everfree Forest”, it read, “just outside Ponyville. It would be wise to turn around”.
Jay quickly obeyed and started to run, but Finn caught him by the collar.
“We’re not leaving; we’re going to see this through,” Finn said firmly. “It’ll be hard to do that when some monster’s had our guts for din din”, Jay whimpered, trying to escape Finn’s grip.
Instantly, they heard an ear piercing shriek that made their eyes widen. Immediately, they took refuge in a big shrub. Slowly, they peaked through the branches.
“There’s nothing out there, at least nothing we can’t handle”! Finn hissed,” “so let’s just crawl on out and…”
But before he could finish his sentence, he was interrupted by a loud girly scream, which made Jay quiver.
“AAAAIIIIIIIIEEEEEEE”!!!!!!
They quickly leapt out from the bush, and into a big tree. They were completely covered by leaves.
“Great, First the shrub, now the tree”, Finn grumbled, "What's next"?? “Look!” Jay silently exclaimed, then pointing downwards.
Finn looked down, and saw 3 little horses, or fillies to be exact, one of whom was trapped inside a hollow log. One was a little orange pegasus with a magenta mane and purple eyes, the one beside her was a regular yellow pony with a red mane tied with a pink bow in the back and light orange eyes, and the one stuck in the log was a white unicorn with a light purple curly mane and green eyes. Their names were Scootaloo, Apple Bloom, and Sweetie Belle.
“Tell me again, how did you get stuck in there?” Scootaloo asked. “I thought I saw something neat inside”, Sweetie Belle said. “Well how in Equestria are we supposed to get ya outta there?” Apple Bloom said in her southern accent.
“Hey Jay, maybe we should lend them a hand”, Finn thought out loud. “No way man”, Jay said disapprovingly, “we don’t even know them. They could be monsters in disguise”.
Finn looked at them more carefully. It all sounded too far-fetched. As he looked upon the little pony in trouble, his resolve was hardened.
“Fine, stay up here and hide then ya big baby”, Finn said in an irritated tone, “I’m going to go help them”.
As Finn turned to leave, he lost his balance. But Jay caught him, but in turn lost his own balance. The white dog fell to the ground faster than a safe, and landed in the bushes with a loud CRASH! The 3 fillies looked over, and saw something rustling in the bushes. Unfortunately, Jay landed in a thorn bush, and got his head tangled in a bunch of prickle vines and briars. As he jerked his head out, groaning in pain, it looked like he had huge thorny antlers.
The 3 little foals saw Jay, and upon seeing his monster like appearance, they shrieked in terror. Jay, who was still scared of them and startled from the fall, also shrieked in terror. This continued on, until Finn gave a pitched whistle.
“Everyone calm down!” He exclaimed.
Finn looked at Jay, and after making a freaked out face, he slowly yanked the vines and briars off of Jay’s head. Jay grunted in pain, and after they were off, he slowly began to weep from the pain. Apple Bloom felt bad for screaming, especially after seeing Jay cry. She slowly approached Jay.
“Hey now, it’s ok”, she said consolingly, “you dry those eyes now”.
She slowly wiped his eyes with her hoof. Jay slowly smiled. Finn also smiled.
“We saw your friends predicament, and thought we could be of service”, Finn said, pointing to the entrapped Sweetie Belle. “I’d be very much appreciative if you did”, Sweetie Belle said, “This log’s starting to chafe”.
Finn chuckled and nodded, and slowly unsheathed his sword. The sight of it made the girls nervous.
“Now I’m just gonna hack off the log around you”, Finn explained, “then Jay is gonna help pull you out. You got it”?
Sweetie Belle nodded her head. Slowly but quickly, Finn hastily hacked at the log. Meanwhile in Ponyville, Rarity was walking down the sidewalk with some knitting supplies. As soon as she returned home, she found it particularly empty. She looked around, and spied a note taped to the fridge. It read:
“Dear Rarity”,
“Went with Crusaders to the Everfree Forest to earn Cutie Mark in spelunking. Be back for lunch”.

This was grave news to the white unicorn.The Everfree Forest was not a place for fillies as young as Sweetie Belle and her friends.In an instant, she literally dropped everything and ran towards the forest. Back in Everfree, Sweetie Belle was halfway out, halfway being one third of the log was already hacked off.
“Ouch”! Sweetie Belle yelped. “What’s wrong?!” Finn asked out of surprise, “I’m not hurting you, am I?! “No”, Sweetie Belle said sadly, “I got a splinter on my hoof.”
She stuck her hoof out, and she did indeed have a splinter in it. Finn gently grasped her hoof, and quickly tugged on the splinter, and out it came. The little curly haired unicorn smiled in gratitude. Meanwhile, as Rarity came upon their location, she saw Finn and Jay pulling on Sweetie Belle who was in the log.
“She’s really jammed in there!” Jay grunted.
They then stopped for a moment.
“OK you pull and I’ll push”, Jay said. “Good idea”, Finn agreed, “I already weakened it enough, so she’ll probably slide right out. Don’t worry, this won’t hurt a bit”. “If we’re lucky we might pop her head right off”, Jay joked.
Sweetie Belle laughed nervously.
“What are y'all doing in a scary place like this”?? Jay asked curiously. “We were hoping to get our Cutie Marks in Spelunking, but we got lost trying to find a cave”, Apple Bloom explained. “Hoping to get your what in what”?! Finn asked, completely lost at everything the young filly just said.
But before she could answer, Rarity jumped right out of the bushes with a hearty yell. This in turn startled the others.
“Get away from my sister you ruffians!” she exclaimed furiously.
Finn, who was a better social diplomat than Jay, held his hands up to show he did not mean any harm, and stabbed his sword into the ground.
“Hold on a sec! First, I didn’t know she was your sister, and second, I know this looks bad, but we can explai...AUGH!
Before Finn could finish his sentence, Rarity tackled him to the ground, and started hitting him with her freshly polished hooves.
“Ouch! OOF! OW! Jay!” Finn exclaimed, while trying to block Rarity’s blows, “get this crazy girl horse off of me!
Without haste, Jay grew his hand using his magic powers, stretched his arm over to Rarity, and yanked him right off of Finn.
“Listen lady”, Jay said firmly, “we’re not gonna hurt you or your sister”.
But Rarity did not believe him; instead she swung her back hoof, until it finally nailed Jay right in the kisser. This in turn caused Jay to lose his grip on her, and fall back. As Jay groaned and rubbed his face, he spit into his hand, and there lay in his palm, a tooth.
“Ok that’s it”! He shouted furiously, “girl horse or not, nobody knocks out my teeth!”
In that moment, Jay and Rarity locked horns, no pun intended. As they tumbled around, hitting, slapping, and kicking each other, Finn slowly walked up to them.
“Come on guys, knock it off!” he insisted, trying to pull them apart.
But instead of being heard, he was pulled into the scrap. After a minute of exchanging blows, he slid them away from each other. Rarity was covered in nicks and bruises, and Jay had more of them, along with a black eye and a nose facing the wrong way. They glared into each other’s eyes as Finn, who was also covered in bruises, kept them separated.
“ENOUGH”! Finn exclaimed, “Both of you, GIVE IT A REST!” “She started it! Jay shouted, we were just trying to help her sister out of the stupid log, and then all the sudden I get a reason to see the dentist!” “It doesn’t matter”! Finn barked, “You don’t go fighting girls like that”.
Rarity was surprised. She turned over to her little sister, who was finally being pulled out by Apple Bloom and Scootaloo.
“Is that true?” She asked, “Were they trying to help you?”
Sweetie Belle, along with the other two crusaders nodded. Rarity frowned sadly, feeling guilty over the recent misunderstanding. Finn elbowed Jay, who looked a little guilty about his actions. As she opened her mouth, Jay raised his paw and stopped her from speaking.
“I apologize for my rash behavior”, Jay said sadly. “As do I”, Rarity said apologetically. “Hey strangers”, Apple Bloom piped up, “we didn’t get your names, and I guess we never introduced ourselves either. I’m Apple Bloom. This is Scootaloo, and that’s Sweetie Belle. We’re the Cutie Mark Crusaders, dedicated to getting our cutie marks”.
Finn smiled.
“A pleasure to meet you Crusaders”, Finn said politely, bowing slightly, “my name’s Finn, and that’s my best friend Jay.”
Jay smiled and waved hello to the little fillies.
“And I’m Rarity”, Rarity said bowing her head, “seamstress of Ponyville.” “You sure don’t fight like a seamstress”, Jay teased, while he rubbed his face.
Rarity smiled.
“If anyone doesn’t mind me changing the topic”, Finn spoke up, “how do we get out of here?”
As Rarity looked around, she saw that she was also lost.
“I’m sorry”, she said sadly, “I was so focused on finding Sweetie Belle, I had neglected to keep track of where I was going”. “Don’t worry”, Jay said sanguinely, “it’s not like its night fall or anything”.
3 hours later
“I can’t believe it’s almost night fall and we still haven’t found this confounded Ponyville!” Jay exclaimed, shaking his arms furiously.
They had been wandering around the forest for hours, with no sign of Ponyville in sight, and the sky was getting darker by the minute.
“I don’t wanna be in this forest after dark”, Sweetie Belle said worriedly. “I’m sorry Sweetie Belle”; Finn said grimly, “but it’s too risky to keep walking at night. Let’s make camp”.
Apple Bloom helped Jay fetch some branches and leaves to make a lean to, which was helped being made by Rarity and the other 2 Crusaders. Meanwhile, Finn worked on trying to make a fire. After it was lit, Finn got out some marshmallows. Jay passed around some sticks he had fashioned to a point along with a mallow. As they ate the marshmallows, Finn and Jay told them stories of their adventures. Finn and Jay sat on a log, while Rarity and the CMC’s laid under the lean-to. The four ponies paid close attention as the two boys told them tale after tale.
As the boys entertained the 4 ponies with their stories, Finn could feel their eight bright eyes scanning every part of him, from his clothes to his raven black hair.
"So if Jay is a dog, then what are you"? Sweetie Belle asked, trying not to sound rude. "I'm a human", Finn said simply. "Huh, I don't think we have many of those here in Equestria", Scootaloo said sadly, "But there are a lot of weird creatures in this world so, I don't know".
Finn smiled warmly at the orange filly. He knew that there probably wouldn't be any humans in this world, but all in all, he remained content.
“So where is it that you boys say you come from?” Asked Apple Bloom, finishing off a mallow. “It’s called ‘The Land of Ooo’ ”, Finn answered. “What a very interesting name, and it sounds like a very marvelous place”, Rarity said. “It is pretty great”, Jay agreed, “but that’s why we left”. “What do you mean?” Asked Sweetie Belle. “Well you see”, Finn began, “we had fought there for so long, it kinda got boring”. “So we came here”, Jay finished, “it looked like a promising ‘land of opportunity’ ”.
As Jay finished the story, Scootaloo started to yawn.
“I think it’s time for you girls to hit the hay”, Jay said observingly. “But I’m not...”
Before the Apple Bloom could finish her sentence, she was struck by another yawn. Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom began yawning as well.
“What do you think Rarity?” Jay asked. “I think you make an excellent point”, Rarity said in agreement, “it’s time for you fillies to go to sleep”.
But the little ponies refused. It was then that Finn had a brainstorm.
“Hey Jay”, he said.
He then whispered his idea to Jay, who nodded in astonishment at his idea. Jay then looked at the tired eyed fillies, and smiled.
“Ok then”, Jay said, “You can stay up”. “Yay”! Cheered the CMC’s. “If you don’t sleep through the lullaby Finn’s gonna sing”, Jay added. “What?!” they exclaimed in surprise.
Finn pulled out his grandmother’s music box. As he cranked the lever, and the chimes started playing, he sang.
“Don't be weepy sleepy puppies.
Slip your slippers on your footies. In the morning you'll get goodies;
Puppy hats and puppy hoodies.
No stripes or Polk-a-dots;
Heather grey and feather soft, Baby pink or baby blue...
All the draw strings you can chew”.
While Finn sang, the 3 fillies’ eyes started to wilt, but they were resilient, and forced their eyes open. As the song progressed, each one of them soon fell under song’s influence, and soon enough, the three little ponies fell fast asleep. Finn and Jay smiled as the 3 fillies lightly snored in their sleep. Jay laid a blanket over them, allowing them to keep warm as they slept. As the fire crackled and the embers flew up, Jay spread out on his stomach, allowing Finn to rest his head on the dogs back. Rarity lay beside them.
“That was a very sweet lullaby you sang, Finn”, she complimented. “Our great grandmother used to sing it”, Jay said nostalgically. “Yea”, Finn added sadly, looking up at the stars, “but that was before she and Grandpa passed away”. “Oh I’m sorry”; Rarity said sadly, “you must miss them”. “We occasionally think about them”, Jay said yawning; “we barely knew them though”. “But that doesn’t mean we don’t still think about them”, Finn pointed out, “Dad used to tell me stories about them all the time”.
Rarity smiled.
“That’s very sweet”, she said.
Jay nodded. Then after a big yawn, he lowered his head, and fell fast asleep. Finn also yawned, but not as loud.
“Goodnight Rarity”, he said sleepily. “Goodnight Finn”, she replied. “Tomorrow, when we find Ponyville, Jay and I will have lots of totes new adventures”, Finn yawned.
At last, Finn fell asleep. Rarity, who rested her head on Finn’s pack which Finn let her use as a pillow, also fell asleep, dreaming of what tomorrow may bring.

The Enemy's Arrival
Chapter 3 The Enemies Arrival
The next day, far away in the kingdom of Canterlot, a grey skinned humanoid walked up the steps to the throne room. In the rooms he had previous walked through were the bodies of fallen guards, barely alive. He wore a plate mail chest plate christened with an evil goat’s head, grey gloves and pants, black shoes, and bore a black wrist mounted cannon with a skull head as the mouth and a purple katana with a dragons head cross guard. The armored ponies standing guard at the doors to the throne room charged at him. But the visitor simply lifted his arm, pointed his cannon, and fired. As the guards fell to the ground, the stranger kept walking up.
Meanwhile, Celestia, Princess of the Sun, was sitting at her throne with her sister Luna, Princess of the Night, beside her, when suddenly the doors bursted open, and a battle damaged guard hurriedly limped towards the throne.
“What has happened?!” Celestia said in shock.
The guard spoke slowly, for he had endured many injuries in trying to get to the throne room.
“Your Majesty”, he said weakly, there’s a...Gaaaugh!!!!”
Those were his last words as a purple blast of energy struck him from behind, and he fell to the ground. A few feet away from him, the stranger, known as “Necroknight, son of the Lich”, blew the exhaust smoke from the mouth of his cannon. A wicked smile grew on his face, as he slowly walked towards the throne.
“Well well well, if it isn’t the great and magnificent Princess Celestia”, NK said sarcastically in a cold and crooked tone, “Many of your loyal guards spoke of you as I made my way here. I am humbled in your presence”.
He bowed with his knees and hands on the ground, and his head down, then slowly rose back up.
“Who are you”? Celestia asked sternly, “and why have you attacked my guards”? “Attacked is such a harsh term”, NK said in a fake innocent tone, “I prefer “exercising my right to defend myself”.
He glanced over at Princess Luna, and was immediately taken with her appearance.
“Me-yow”! He said in a smooth tone, “You must be Princess Luna. I must say, I found the stories of when you were Nightmare Moon, very entertaining”.
Princess Luna glared in disgust at the evil prince. Princess Celestia slowly descended from her throne.
“I insist that you leave”, She said in a firm tone. “Oh how rude”, NK said in the same fake hurt tone, “we were never even properly introduced. I’m Necroknight”!
Upon exclaiming his name, Necroknight aimed his cannon at Celestia and fired. Celestia quickly flew up above, instantly dodging his attack. Using her magic, she fired a bright beam from her horn right at NK, but the evil warrior blocked it with his sword. He then fired his cannon again, but it was once again dodged as the Princess barrel rolled out of the path of the beam. Celestia seemed to have everything under control.
But then, NK conjured up a long purple chain, twirled it around like a lasso, then casted it towards Celestia. Celestia was instantly caught, her powers slowly dissipating in the glowing manacle. Crying out in pain, she slowly descended, until she was kneeling before the Prince of the Dead.
“That’s a good princess”, NK said in a dark satisfied tone, “Bow before your new king”. “Not if I have anything to say about it”! Exclaimed Luna, who was getting ready to charge.
Instantly, NK drew his dragon katana, and then stuck the tip at Celestia’s throat. This made Luna instantly freeze with a look of horror.
“Ah ah ah”, NK warned, “Any attempt at rescue, and your kingdom’s gonna be short 1 princess”.
Luna gasped at the horrific notion. The midnight blue alicorn glared at NK, feeling her eyes fill with tears. Seeing no other option, the princess hung her head in defeat.
“That’s a good pony”, NK said, dragging Celestia to the throne.
As LP took his place at the throne, and sat down, he grabbed hold of Celestia’s horn.
“I desire a trophy”, he said in his dark tone, “As a reminder of this day”.
And with that, he drew his sword, lifted it over his head, and brought it down with blinding speed. The princess of night watched in horror as the katana sliced through her sister’s horn as if it were bread. Celestia cried in pain as the grey skinned usurper grasped the now cut horn in his hand. Celestia’s forehead looked like a tree stump where her horn used to be.
“Very beautiful”, NK said inspecting it. “You won’t get away with this”, Luna said, her voice holding back a sob after what happened. “On the contrary my dear princess”, LP said, rubbing a hand across her face, “My rule has just begun”.
And with that, NK let out a triumphant and evil laugh.

Meanwhile, the two unsuspecting heroes and their four pony companions walked down the forest path. To help matters and speed the finding of Ponyville, Rarity had given Jay a piece of cloth she had found at the bottom of her hoof. She assumed she had unintentionally picked it up when she ran out of the house. Jay was at the front of the company, sniffing the ground diligently.
“Still picking up Rarity’s trail Jay?” Finn asked. “Uh huh”, he said, not taking his eyes off the ground. “Are we almost there!?” Scootaloo called from the back. “Nope”! Jay called back, “Still got a good while to go!”
The CMC groaned.
“My hooves are killing me!” Sweetie Belle complained. “Would you like me to carry you?” Rarity offered. “That actually sounds nice”, Sweetie Belle said tiredly.
So Sweetie Belle hopped on her sisters back. Just then, Jay stood up. He was really picking up a scent.
“Hey I got something”! Jay announced.
Finn ran up to him.
“Whatcha got”? Finn asked.
Jay inhaled deeply.
“Smells like, Potions, Quill pen ink, and…Dragon scales”? “Sounds like Zecora and Twilight”, said Rarity, “and Spike must be with them”. “Well what are we waiting for?! Finn exclaimed, while hurriedly walking forwards, “Let’s find these guys so we can get out of here!!!!!” “Finn, don’t!” Jay exclaimed out of concern.
What Finn didn’t realize was that there had been another reason Jay stopped. He stopped because they were at the edge of a cliff. As soon as Finn got to the edge, he immediately lost his footing and started tumbling down the hill. Jay and the others watched as he rolled like a log down the slope. Meanwhile at Zecora’s hut, Twilight Sparkle was just finishing her check list.
“Thanks for the ingredients Zecora”, she said politely, “I had just ran out and am working on a new potion recipe”.
The ring wearing zebra smiled kindly.
“Your gratitude’s accepted”, she said, “I’m glad to help you with what needed to be collected”.
Twilight smiled.
“Spike is that the last thing on the list”? Twilight asked. “Yep, that’s about it”, Spike said, viewing the list.
Just then they heard what sounded like a log coming down a hill. Then, CRASH! Finn had landed through the roof, and landed on Zecora’s floor.
“Blessed me”! Zecora exclaimed, “What manner of creature could this be?!”
Finn groaned in pain, then slowly opened his eyes and saw the three of them standing in front of them.
“Cool! A zebra”! Finn exclaimed with glee, “and another unicorn with a dragon! You must Twilight and Spike”.
The Lavender Unicorn and her Dragon friend were surprised the strange creature knew their names.
“Finn the Human, Jr”, Finn said bowing, “At your service.”
Twilight and Spike exchanged a look of curiosity. Out of all the strange creatures Twilight had seen, this one had cracked the scale. But seeing as how he wasn’t a threat or frightening in the least, Twilight and Spike managed to smile.
“Pleasure to meet you Finn the Human Junior”, Twilight said trotting towards him. “It’s just Finn”, Finn said sensitively. “Ok, it’s nice to meet you, Finn,” Twilight said correctly.
The two of them shook hands, or appendages or whatever.
“A human”? Twilight said curiously, “I’ve never heard of such a creature”. “Well I guess were making history”, Finn said enthusiastically.
Twilight smiled. Finn looked over at Spike.
“Wow, this is actually my first time seeing a dragon”, said Finn. “Really?” Spike said surprised. “Well truthfully it’s been a while”, Finn said honestly, “I don’t see that many dragons, and even when I do, they’re not really this friendly”.
Spike smiled nonetheless. Finn then turned his attention to Zecora. He walked over to her.
“Please forgive me for what happened to your roof”, he said sadly, “I’d be much obliged to help fix it”.
Zecora smiled.
“Your guilt can now end”, she said warmly, “For I am now happy to call you my friend. And as for the roof, the damages can be mended. But come back any time, your company would be splendid”.
She slowly extended her hoof. Finn smiled and shook it.
“I’m guessing your Zecora”, Finn said. “Although how you know me is odd, I’d suspect, but in this case, however, you are correct”, said Zecora.
Just then, Jay and the others walked in.
“There you are man! Are you ok”?! Jay asked concerned. “I’m fine”, Finn said reassuringly.
Finn took Jay aside, and introduced him to his new friends
“Jay, this is Zecora, Spike and Twilight”, Finn said.
Jay smiled at Twilight. She smiled back. Immediately, his heart started beating like a drum.
“H-Hi”, he said nervously. “Hi”, she said enthusiastically.
After exchanging salutations with the other 2, Jay explained how they got there, and how they were lost.
“Well you’re in luck”, Spike said happily. “Yeah, you guys can tag along with us”, Twilight added. “Oh thank goodness”, Rarity said in exhaustion, “I don’t think I could’ve spent another night in this horrid forest”.
Everyone shared a laugh. Later, Finn, Jay, Rarity, and the Crusaders followed Spike and Twilight back to Ponyville. It took a moment for Finn to take it all in. To him, everything there was…beautiful.
“This place is awesome”! Finn exclaimed. “I gotta admit”, Jay confessed, “The new perspective is pretty intoxicating”.
As they walked down the street, they were met with looks of curiosity from the passerby’s. It didn't bother them though, and they showed their contentedness by waving at all the ponies who passed them by.
“I really think you boys are gonna like it here”, Sweetie Belle said happily. “Adventure may not happen here as often as it does where you come from, but there’s still plenty to do”, Rarity added. “That’s all well and good, But where are we gonna find a house?!” Jay exclaimed. “We’ll settle all that later, I want the two of you to meet the rest of my friends”, Twilight said.
Jay sighed.
“Alright”, Jay said reluctantly, “But there better be food. All I had to eat was marshmallows last night and they weren’t as filling as I thought”.
The CMC’s shared a laugh, while Jay blushed a little. Twilight led them to Sugar Cube Corner. As they entered, Finn and Jay marveled at the large selections of cakes and sweets, Well, Finn marveled, Jay drooled. They were soon introduced to Mr. and Mrs. Cake.
“Finn the Human and Jay the Dog, meet Carrot Cake and his wife Cup Cake”, Twilight said. “Pleasure”, Jay said nodding. “Nice to meet you, sir and madam”, Finn said bowing slightly. “Please, the pleasure is ours”, Cup cake said humbly. “It’s not every day you meet a human”, Carrot Cake added happily, “then again, we don’t get many humans here anyway”.
Just then, a pink pony with pink frizzy hair carrying 2 foals, one a boy Pegasus and the other a girl unicorn, walked in through the saloon doors. The fillies’ name was Pinkie Pie, and the babies’ names were Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake.
“Oh and that’s Pinkie Pie”, Twilight said, pointing over to her.
Pinkie Pie lifted her head after hearing her name. And after seeing the 2 boys, she looked quite surprised.
“Hi there”, they said in unison.
In an instant, she gasped, handed the babies to Mrs. Cake, and then ran out the door.
“Oh-kay”, Jay said confused. “Hey you never introduced us to the little ones”, Finn said, referring to the babies. “This is our son Pound Cake and our daughter Pumpkin Cake”, said Mr. Cake. “Awww they’re so cute”, Finn said sweetly.
The 2 foals looked at Finn curiously, and then started giggling. Finn smiled.
“So what was Pinkie Pie’s deal back there”? Jay asked Twilight, “Was she being ‘telepathically’ paged’ ”? “No”, Twilight said snickering, “you’ll soon see”.
Just then, 3 more ponies, one a regular and the other two pegasi, walked in through the doors.
The blue Pegasus with the rainbow mane, and whose name was Rainbow Dash, was the first to speak.
“Hey Twilight, we heard Pinkie Pie shouting about 2 newcomers, and thought we’d be check ‘em out”, she said.
The light gold Pegasus with the Cotton Candy Pink mane, whose name was Fluttershy, stared curiously at Finn and Jay. She then quickly turned away when they returned eye contact, which made them curious. That’s when the light orange pony with the blonde mane and the cowboy hat, and whose name was Applejack, walked up to the bows.
“Y’all will have to excuse Fluttershy”, she said apologetically, in a southern accent similar to Apple Bloom’s, “She’s not used to meeting new folk, unlike me. I’m Applejack of Sweet Apple Acres; I already see you met my sister Apple Bloom, and the other Pegasus over there is Rainbow Dash”.
Apple Bloom smiled at the mention of her name. Applejack started shaking their hands rapidly. As she shook, Finn exchanged a smile with Jay, who also smiled.
“I like her”, Finn said enthusiastically. “Me too”, Jay replied.
Applejack smiled at the comment. Jays smiled soon turned into a frown as he turned to Twilight.
“Ok so we met your friends”, he said firmly, “but what are we gonna do for a house”? “We could give you guys the guest room”, Spike offered. “Actually we would like to see your house”, Finn said. “Yeah, we would”, Jay added.

Finn and Jay stared, mouths gaping open, at Twilight’s house made from a tree. And even more taken by the inside. Shelves and shelves of books, different kinds and different genres. Living in a tree of their own, they had thought that their house was the most impressive. Seeing Twilight’s Library quickly put the vision of their own tree house on the scale.
“Welcome to the Golden Oaks Library”, Twilight said. “You live in a library”? Finn asked. “I love to read”, Twilight replied. “I had actually wanted to live in a library when I was 7”, Jay confessed. “That’s cool Jay”, Twilight said. “You did not, you told me you wanted to live in an ice cream shop”, Finn hissed. “Shut up, she doesn’t know that”! Jay hissed back.
Finn and Jay forced a smile when Twilight turned around.
“It’s all nice Twilight, but I don’t think it would be right”, Finn confessed sadly. “It’s totes awkward sleeping in a house with someone you hardly know”. “Well what do you suggest”? Jay asked. “I actually had an idea a few seconds ago”, Finn confessed.
As Finn whispered his idea to Jay, his face slowly began beaming with delight. A few moments later, the 2 boys located a vacant spot outside of Ponyville, and after a few moments of construction and thumb hitting, the boys had made a large barn looking house with red walls, a large dark brown front door, and a black roof.
“We did a good job didn’t we”? Jay said half exhausted. “Aunt Lady and Uncle Jake would be proud Jay”, Finn said confidently.
Jay sniffled, holding back a sob. The five ponies, along with Spike, stood behind them. Finn and Jay turned around to them.
“We’d like to thank you all for your help and support”, Jay said gratefully. “We really appreciate it”, Finn said honestly. “Shoot, that’s what friends do for each other”, Applejack said humbly.
Finn slightly winced at the word “friend”.
“I’ll do anything to keep anybody from living on the streets”, Rarity said proudly. “We were glad to lend a hoof”, Twilight said happily. “It’s a lovely home”, Fluttershy said softly. “I, err, we designed it after my parents’ house”, Jay said, “We actually live in a tree house like Twilight, but we decided to hit a little closer to home”. “And what better place to build than one where you ran around in diapers”? Finn joked. “Shut up”! Jay exclaimed.
Everyone but Jay shared a laugh. Later that evening, Pinkie Pie threw Finn and Jay a party the likes of which they had never seen before. The party was extravagant, upbeat, and all around, a hoot and a half. Just as the party neared the end, Spike felt a feeling grow in the pit of his stomach. Suddenly, he belched a large amount of flame, and with it, came a scroll.
“He can produce scrolls from his fire”?! Finn exclaimed out of surprise, “That is totally math”! “What’s math got to do with anything”? Rainbow Dash asked confused. “It’s his own way of saying its cool”, Jay explained”. “Oh, I get it".
After closely examining the articles in the parchment, Spikes eyes grew wide and he became very petrified. He slowly turned to Twilight, handing her the paper.
“Twilight”, he said worriedly, “I think you need to read this”.
Guardians of Equestria Chapter 1: Love is Magic Part 1
Chapter 4 Canterlot has fallen
They had all went back to the Library afterwards, and Twilight had carefully gone over letter. As she finished reading, she looked very worried.
“What’s the news”? Rainbow asked anxiously. “And why do ya look like somepony just ran over your tail”? Applejack added. “I don’t know how to say this but”, Twilight began slowly, “Canterlot been conquered”.
The other members of the mane 6 were taken back at this, while Finn and Jay exchanged looks of concern.
“Conquered”?! Rarity said, her voice sounding deeply concerned, “By whom”?! “By someone named ‘Necroknight’”, Twilight answered, looking back over the letter. “NECROKNIGHT”?! The boys exclaimed out of horror.
“Looks like he followed us”, Jay said grimly. “Like we didn’t have enough to worry about”, Finn complained.
In an instant, the 6 mares’ eyes were all fixated on the boys.
“And just who is this ‘Necroknight’”?! Rainbow Dash asked snappily, not to mention totally getting up in Finn’s face, “And just how is it that you two know him”. “It’s...Uhhh...You see, I uh”, Finn stuttered.
Applejack pulled Rainbow Dash back.
“Simmer down Rainbow”, she ordered gently, “They’re not the enemy. But they do seem to know the enemy”.
She got up really close to Finn. Their noses were almost touching, and she had a serious look on her face.
“Just what is going on here, sugar”? She asked.
Finn’s eyes darted around. Everyone had the same look on their face. Jay looked over at him and nodded. Finn sighed heavily.
“He’s the son of one of my Dad’s old enemies”, Finn began, “He wasn’t always evil, though. In fact, he was the best warrior in all of Ooo, and my closest friend. Unfortunately, he was punished for his arrogance. Outraged, he renounced his good nature, and began his evil empire. The one, who I used to call ‘brother’, was gone”.
Finn hung his head down, grief stricken by the retelling of his story. Feelings of empathy arose in each one of the ponies. Applejack laid a hoof on his shoulder.
“I’m sorry about that Sugar”, she said sympathetically. “It’s nothing”, Finn said blankly, slowly removing her hoof, “Since then, Jay and I have been dedicated to putting the lid on his evil schemes”. “Twenty Four seven, three sixty five, bro”! Jay declared.
Finn rolled his eyes over to the side, and then slowly headed for the door.
“Come on Jay”, Finn said solemnly, “We’ve got a tyrant to stop, and a kingdom to save”. “You two ain’t going in there without us”! Applejack called to him.
Finn slowly turned his head.
“He’s here all because of me!” Finn snapped at her. “It’s my duty to stop him, so just stay out if it, alright”?!
And without wasting any more time, he stormed out the door. Jay looked at Applejack and the others with guilt; they looked pretty hurt and worried.
“I’m very sorry”, Jay said.
Jay smiled awkwardly, and then rushed out the door to catch up with Finn. As he caught up with him, an angry glare grew across his face.
“That wasn’t the way to deal with that”, Jay said crossly. “They don’t need to be getting involved with us Jay”, Finn replied irately, “You know what he can do”. “I do”, Jay said, “but sometimes you need to accept help when it’s offered to you”. “Listen here”, Finn said sharply, “that monster has already taken too many lives. I won’t stand and watch him take the lives of those innocent ponies, or any other pony for that matter”!
They walked the rest of the way home in awkward silence.The very next morning, the boys headed to the Library, where coincidentally, the girls, minus Pinkie Pie, were already there. They all looked at the 2 boys curiously, all wondering how Finn was feeling after the events of last night. Jay nudged Finn, indicating something was up.
“Sorry about last night”, he said slowly, “We could use some extra hands, or hooves, for that matter”.
The 5 mares smiled.
“That’s well and good sugar cube”, Applejack said happily, “and don’t worry, it’s all water under the bridge. But how are we gonna get to Canterlot?” “We can’t take the train”, Twilight said perceptively, “they’ll see us coming”. “Umm ladies?” Jay spoke up.
The six mares watched as Jay used his powers to grow 5 times his size. The 6 ponies marveled at this, while Finn smiled at his quick thinking and ingenuity.
“If I may”, he said confidently. “Way to grow, Jay”! Finn exclaimed happily. “How is this possible”? Fluttershy asked in fascination. “He’s a magic dog”, Finn explained. “Fascinating”, Twilight examined.
The white dog blushed in embarrassment. Soon after the girls boarded the giant Jay, then set off to take back Canterlot. It wouldn't be easy; there were only 8 of them, while NK had millions of forces behind him. But they would do all that they could, and they would not stop until they had freed Canterlot from Necroknight. Meanwhile, unknown to the 8 friends, Necroknight was watching their every move through a viewing portal. He grinned evilly.
“So the human germ and his mutt brother think that they and their girly friends can stop me”, he said preempted, twirling Celestia’s chopped off horn, “Well, he has no idea what he’s in for”.
