The failed prank

Gilda had left yesterday, and now it was time to get prankin!

Rainbow was napping on her usual tree branch on a hot Sunday afternoon.

Pinkie hung on a looser branch above rainbow's head and pinkie stared at the snoring rainbow dash, watching her breathe for a moment or two and then "wakie shakie prankie prankie!" Pinkie hollered into rainbows ear.

Rainbow lifted her head slowly and said "what?" Dashie looked tired

"I said wakie shakie prankie prankie!" Pinkie swung her head side to side with each word while she hung upside down on the branch above rainbow.

"Pinkieeeee, why do you have to wake me up so early?" Rainbow sat up slowly scratching the back of her neck.

" you silly! It's not early! It's the afternoon!"

Rainbow stood up and flew off the branch, hovering beside it staring at the pink pony.

"I think we should start with applejump!" She released the branch above rainbow branch and landed on the lower branch.

"Huh?" Rainbow scratched the back of her neck

"Hehehe you'll see!" She hoped onto the ground "follow me!"she said starting to hop off towards the barn

"Pinkie, what are you doing?" Rainbow was now extremely curious as to see what exactly pinkie had in mind.

"Dashie, fly up to aj's bedroom, you should see a set of four dirty horseshoes, bring them down." Pinkie said while reaching into her mane to pull out four springs.

Rainbow flew into aj's bedroom. She spotted the horseshoes, picked them up careful not to make a sound and then she flew down to the ground outside the building.

"Oh good! You got them!" Pinkie said grabbing a horse from rainbow dash and attaching a spring to the bottom and then hoofing it back to the cyan Pegasus and then repaying the process with the other three horse shoes

"And how exactly is aj not gonna notice these?"

"Oh dash, she never pays attention to her horseshoes! I've been planning this prank for years!" Pinkie hoofed the last one back to rainbow dash.

Rainbow dash tilted her head to the right and then flew back up into the bedroom setting them exactly into the same spot as before.

Pinkie zapped into an apple tree and whispered loudly "come on! Get in here! She"ll be coming in a minute!" Rainbow landed on a branch and pretended to be asleep with on eye half opened

They saw aj come into her bedroom and put of her iron horseshoes.

Pinkie snickered

Aj walked out the door struggling to walk. Bouncing up high every time she took a step.

"What the hay.." Applejack stopped and looked at the bottom of her horseshoes.

Applejack wasn't fairing well with this new prank.

Rainbow and pinkie burst out laughing and in doing so fell out of the tree.

Applejack giggled

Aj took off the horseshoes and went back inside

Pinkie was still laughing

Rainbow had stopped laughing and said "pinkie! Let's go do rarity now!"

Pinkie stopped laughing and followed dash to rarity's boutique.

Pinkie and dash arrived at rarity's boutique

"Alright, I have an idea.." Rainbow pulled out an apple she got form sweet apple achers a while back

"This, pinkie, is not just a normal golden delicious apple, at least, it won't be.." She flew down to pinkie and grabbed. Something out of pinkies tail "I snuck this into your tail earlier,"it was a hospital needle filled with green liquid

"Whaaatttt is it?" Pinkie asked stretching her neck up really long and tall to reach her head to rainbows level to see what rainbow was doing.

Rainbow injected the green liqiud into the apple. The apple had looked kinda bruised up and old

When rainbow injected it, the apple quickly appeared to be ripe, juicy, fresh picked, and shiny. So shiny and delicious that rarity would never be able to resist.

"Ohhhh yummy..." Pinkie started to drool

Rainbow pulled away form pinkie and said "no! Don't eat it! This is a potion that will make everything you try to do, it's make you do the opposite of what your trying to do! Only lasts a few minutes, but it still sucks."

"Ohhhhhhh!" Pinkie pie said

Rainbow sat the apple down and rang the doorbell

As soon as the door bell rang the two ponies ran off and hid.

Rarity opened the door and said "who is it?" She looked down and saw the apple

"Oh my! Somepony has done a very well job at caring for this, I hate to eat it, but It will spoil if I don't." She walked inside levitating the apple

Rainbow and pinkie pie ran up to the kitchen window, peering in.

Rarity bit into the apple, it was delicious.

Rainbow snickered

Pinkie giggled

Rarity then attempted to levitate the news paper but instead it disappeared

"Oh my, I wonder how that happened, oh well, it's just the paper." She got up and tried to walk to her inspiration room but instead dropped to the floor in front of her chair in the kitchen "what in the world," she got back up and tried to teleport herself to the inspiration room but ended up in the bathroom she then tried again, ended up in the living room. Tried again, ended up in Twilights bedroom in her castle. She tried again, and ended up in manehatten by the bus stop, tried again, ended up at sugarcube corner. She grunted in frustration and tried to say 'mrs cake!' But ended up saying " mr lemon! " she gasped at what she just said and grunted again "mrs apple cupcake!" She grunted again and then tried to teleport back to her kitchen and ended up in her inspiration room. She let out a breathe of relief and then thought to herself 'alright, how do I fix this?' She then saw pinkie pie and rainbow dash standing outside her window laughing

"BLACK CRASH!" She screamed. She was trying to say rainbow dash, but this time she didn't care, it insulted them.

"GREEN CAKE!" She. Tried to say pinkie pie. Rarity's face turned bright red in anger

Rainbow dash flew off away from rarity's and pinkie pie bounced off following dash

"Waiiitttt,, hold onto your hooves..... Cause I'm about to be BRILLIANT!" Pinkie held her temples with her hooves while she spoke.

"Huh?" Rainbow scratched the back of her neck in confusion as she tilted her head.

"Hold on, " pinkie zoomed off towards sugarcube corned before a word could exit rainbows mouth.

Pinkie came back with a book. She dropped the book onto the ground and said "don't open it, it's for twi!" She smiled and bounced towards Twilights castle with the book in the gasp of her bang. The book was brown and wrapped in a pink bow

She and dash knocked on the princess's door

Twilight opened the door and saw her friends standing there.

"Hey twilight, me and pinkie pie decided that it would be a good idea to give you this-" she gestured to the book with her right forehoof.

"Yepers!" Pinkie pie said with a nod and then flipping the book over to twilight with her mane alone.

Twilight levitates the book and opened it up.

She tried to read the first page, but just as soon as she did, the letters literally jumped out of the book and onto the ground and then started climbing Twilights body and hoping around on her. "Agh!" Twilight groaned as she pulled back a step and closing her eyes tightly whilst her nose scrunched up. "Pinkie! How in the wide wide world of equestria did you find this?!" She shook her entire body to get the letters off of her.

Pinkie and rainbow laughed as the letters started to jump back onto twilight, hoping up and down.

Twilight shook them off, and ran inside with the book, closing it tightly and wrapping a chain and lock around it. Then placing it and the very top shelf in the library section of the castle.

Pinkie pie and rainbow dash had pranked aj, twilight, rarity, and then that only leaves themselves, and fluttershy.

Pinkie pie pointed to the sky and said "lookie there!!" She stared at the sky until rainbow looked

When rainbow looked at the sky, pinkie randomly pulled out a bucket of invisible ink

She dropped the bucket onto rainbows head then quickly jumped away and resumed staring at the sky

Rainbow dash pulled the bucket off her head and said "pinkie, what did you just do? "

Pinkie looked at dash and said " oh silly, I didn't do anything. That was what I was a starin at!." She giggled at rainbow dash, who now looked like the headless horse.

Rainbow said "what are you laughing at, pinkie?"

Pinkie randomly out of nowhere grabbed a large mirror and pulled it up in front of rainbow dash.

Rainbow laughed hard at the fact the it looked like she had no head what so ever.

Pinkie laughed and said "headless, not brainless."  Pinkie then burst out laughing and was now rolling around on the ground with rainbow.

There was invisible ink puddled all over the ground where pinkie landed

When pinkie got up, she walked past the mirror and saw that she wasn't the headless horse, she was hooves!

Pinkie burst out laughing again with rainbow.

"Oh pinkie, you really gone and pranked yourself this time!" Rainbow said still with laughter in her voice

Pinkie stopped laughing and got up after a while.

Rainbow dash got up, too.

"Alright. I have one, for the finnally!" Rainbow started to fly towards fluttershys cottage

Pinkie pie followed

They stood outside fluttershys living room window, watching fluttershy.

"Oh no no no! We can't prank her! Remember?!" Pinkie said, concerned.

"Ohhoho, pinkie pie, this is not anything that would hurt trees feelings, but will still be an awesome prank."

Rainbow picked up a phone and dialed fluttershys telephone number

Fluttershy picked up the phone and said "hello?"

In a stallion-sounding voice, rainbow dash said "um, hello ma'am, is this the tree residence?"

Fluttershy nodded and said "yes. Yes this is tree." Fluttershy smiled "how can I help you today, sir?"

Rainbow dropped the phone, not getting the response she was looking for from fluttershy "what?" Rainbow said breaking her stallion voice after dropping the phone to the ground and pinkies jaw dropped

Pinkie said loudly "waaahhhttt was that?!" Pinkie said disappointed

Rainbow picked the phone up and said "wrong number " and hung up
