//-------------------------------------------------------// Autumn's Flowers -by pikachan- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Season of Spirits //-------------------------------------------------------// Season of Spirits It was finally time. The season one pony has awaited more than anything. More than the Summer Sun Celebration, or a coronation,  or even one of Pinkie Pie's parties. It was autumn. Or Fall, most ponies call it. But out of most ponies, one pony in particular appreciated it more than most ponies. Fluttershy. She adored the season, the chilly weather, the colors,  just the wonderfulness of such a time made her heart flutter like the butterflies forever printed on her flank. She loved to fly through the wind, feeling the soft, cool breeze flow through her mane, caressing her body like an invisible hand, guiding her through the baby blue sky. The soft ringing in her ears lets her spirits come free and fly with her so they could witness the sights she saw, making her bright, warm eyes sparkle like a million stars. Her soft smile showed her emotions of true happiness, and peace. It was the Season of Spirits, the spirits of young leaves flowing through the wind, as the eldest try to hang with the little strength it has, before the wind pushes them to the floor, along with the once living, working leaves that's spirit roams the forest. But it was not such sights and beauty that filled Fluttershy's weak, shy heart. It was the love that filled her heart. The love that lasted since she was a filly. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Forever Lasting Love //-------------------------------------------------------// The Forever Lasting Love 10 Years Ago Fluttershy always loved the ground ever since her hooves touched the soft, dewy grass latched to the floor, the dirt soiling her once clean, tidy coat. The smell of the forest exhilarated her in ways that she couldn't imagine . She felt this was the one true place Ishe belonged in. The creatures Fluttershy saw were nothing like she's ever seen in CloudsDale. They were much cuter than many animals seen in her old home. But this place marveled Fluttershy, and frightened her at the same time. This was a whole new world, a new place, far from home, far from her whole life. Her small, feeble body couldn't handle such a thing, especially with how scared and timid she was. But Fluttershy loved the beautiful sights that filled her thoughts, every blade of grass, every stone, it all amazed the cream colored mare. She wanted to see more. But a part of her chanted and pleaded Fluttershy to go home. But her curiosity dominated all thought, after all, this is a new world. She had to go and see more. Fluttershy explored the forest, the crunching of twigs cracked and crumbled beneath her hooves. The leaves brushed the ground she took to on foot. The trees formed a hammock for the sky to rest in, so night may come and let the day rest for tomorrow. She marveled at the land around her. A sloppy, dirty piece, some may think, but to Fluttershy, however, it was art. A beautiful, colorful forest of wonder. Her passion only grew as she explored deeper into the forest. She saw a stream, rushing downhill, but soon end in a pond, surrounded by beautiful, colorful flowers. Bushes and trees bordered the landscape. For this, was the place. Seeing such a thing made Fluttershy's heart drop completely. She felt her eyes dialate as she took in the sight. The smell. The taste. The sounds. The feelings. It all absorbed into her thoughts, and gave a warm smile. She began to trot into the sanctuary of beauty, heading toward the pond. She stared into the water, into her reflection. She smiled. She felt her heart open, her spirit fly off. She let the sounds caress her ears, feeling true peace. True silence. She finally found her own nirvana of nature. But suddenly a soft squeak echoed through the silence, letting  Fluttershy perk up like a meer cat. She traced the sound to a flowered bush. Her curiosity at its peek, she pushed the bush away, wincing as she felt thorns almost pierce her skin. She wiggled her thin limbs from the bush's own limbs, and into the other side of the paradise she had found. The colorful world around her, slowly faded to grey as she witnessed a sight. A bunny. With it sat a little white creature, hastily shifting around the body of the bunny. The creature was sprawled on the ground, a red splotch on its upper body. The tiny creature was a baby bunny. The larger bunny, on the other hand, was its mother. But she was gone. Fluttershy felt sadness fill her heart, and kick out the passion, that melt into the tears that bubbled up in her eyes and fall, sizzling into the ground. The baby bunny froze and turned, and looked at the larger being. He began to run, but was quickly stopped by a loud rustle in the bush it headed for. He looked at Fluttershy, and then the bush. But as the silence ran, a large creature bursted from the bushes, and a roar filled Fluttershy's ears, and the forest. Fluttershy was frozen by fear, as the bunny. With no other choice, with a quick reflex, she snatched up the bunny, flicking her wings open, and pushing the wind, launching her off the ground. The creature roared, its claws unsheathed, and charged behind her. For just learning how to fly, she wasn't very fast. The animal gaining on her and the baby bunny, she only had one chance to get away. Soaring, she streched her small wings to full length, her veins shown, she winced as she pulled them down with full force, sending her throught at a speed fast enough to outrun the animal. She jolted out of the forest, leaving skids as she tried to slow her inertia. Finally stopping, she let out short, soft breaths, tired from her escape. She looked down at the bunny held tightly in her arm. Looking at the helpless, shivering bunny, she knew it couldn't survive alone. She smiled, tenderly placing the bunny on her back, fluttering to a place to care for the furry infant. She later found an abandoned cottage, she soon called a house for the bunny. She cared for it as it grew, she restored the cottage, and sooner and sooner bonded with the baby bunny. She called him Angel, and spoiled him rotten. Later in life, she raised him to his adulthood, or at least she thought so. So with a sad spirit, and a teary eye, she set him free. As she grew, she found her true home, the very cottage she cared for her old friend. But the fateful day she happened to be there. She felt a soft tap and a small squeak. Opening the door, she nearly bawled at the sight of a bunny. Her old friend Angel. He found his way out the forest, and to her little home. She kneeled down, bringing the bunny into a passionate hug, and millions of kisses on Angel's cheek. She took him back in. As she matured, she realized the fealing of helping other animals. Love. So she took in so many animals. Even the creature that once chased her. A bear. She also continued to spoil every single one of them. But many ponies thought Angel was a greedy, selfish bunny, who only wanted Fluttershy for food and shelter. But when they asked, Fluttershy would smile. She would always say "I spoil him, because I love him. I spoil him because he's had a hard life in the start. So I need to make that time up, by treating him like he's loved. I give love so he gives me love." Fluttershy never was the same. She loved her animal friends, but especially the little bunny that made her feel the love of caring for other animals. But most of all, she loved autumn, because the very season she found love, made her love. And Angel, even though he may be selfish at times,  loved the pony, that not only saved him, but took him in when he needed not only help, food, and shelrer, but the one thing he needed, and lost--Love. And that's the best gift to give anypony. And nopony would disagree with that.
