Operation Longma

A Strange Creature

All that could be felt was the cold air that blew over the frozen landscape in front of the creatures that trudged forward. The falling snow was so thick that it would obscure the vision of any that walked along the paths within the Everfree. As the three creatures made their way out of the dark forest the clouds thinned and one of the creatures that called itself  Chocolate Dipped Fudge paused briefly to catch a snowflake on one of its claws. It looked at it momentarily and took note of the many faces that the water crystal had and then he held it up to the sun, causing a rainbow of colors to fill its vision before it finally realized that it was being left behind.

“The snow of this land are not much different than the snow we see back home. Makes me wander why the ponies here even consider it to be more pristine than our own.”,Chocolate Dip stated while he plodded along a path that would lead him to Ponyville. The fallen snow was powdery and dry causing it to constantly drift off to the right of the icy path that lay before them. The path was a dirt one that had been coated in a thin layer of ice when the winter came and the wind was blowing the snow off to the right side of the path. Thankfully the snow that managed to stay on the path was helping them keep their balance on the rather bumpy and uneven sheet of ice. Behind them was  set of tracks that were uneven, their front legs were different than their back legs, and the tracks they made were a clear sign that they did not belong in a pony town. Chocolate Dip was a longma, just like the others that were with him, he was an abomination in his own mind and probably in the minds of others. He was not a normal pony in fact he was a hybrid, not unlike the hypogriff, or the griffin, but still very different. He was part dragon and part pony, and he was going to help warn the ponies of a group of longma that were hired by the Tyrant Sun Corona.

He shifted uneasily as he walked forward, in front of him was Ponyville, for some reason it filled him with an uneasy fealing as he approached the town. Usually he wouldn't be unnerved by a town but, as he took a look at the longma to his left, he remembered why he had wanted to skip past it. His younger sister had decided to tag along with him, thinking it was just a vacation to a foreign country, seaming to miss the fact that not a single longma has visited Equestria for centuries, not even their rulers mentioned much of their dealings with the princess.. However, he couldn't find in himself to say no to her, she was his sister after all . Even when he told her that he would be working the whole time she insisted that it would only make the trip more fun for her.

He knew perfectly well why she wanted him to be busy, but he wasn't going to let her out of his sight, she was too mischievous for that. He knew that his sister ,who was called Strawberry Cream Fudge, wasn't going to be happy with how closely he was going to be watching her, but he didn't want a whole town complaining about her actions. She was devious and derived immense amounts of pleasure in scaring others, although, sometimes they weren't exactly just scares. Stormin, Chocolate Dipped Fudge's friend, was flitting around in the air paying no attention to the two that were bound to the ground. He was the one that had alerted Chocolate Dip to the Longma that Corona had hired, exactly why he would tell a baker still confused Chocolate Dip, why should they be the ones to alert the princess? Stormin had claimed that the ruling Kaiser had decided that he would be the messenger to the princess but something did't add up. Why would the Kaiser of all ponies decide to use a weather captain as a messenger to the princess? Stormin claimed it was because the Kaiser wanted to keep the message a secret by using him so Corona wouldn't find out.

Chocolate Dip wasn't fooled and Stormin wound up telling him the real story when he threatened to report him to the local authorities. Stormin found out because he was lounging on a cloud that over looked the whole event when it happened, apparently Corona was going to have them sneak into Canterlot castle and steal the documents that were inside would give Corona information on ho the castle and all of Canterlot were laid out along with information on guard positioning and other crucial information concerning the princess. Chocolate Dip looked up at Stormin when he noticed that his sister was looking at the winged longma in rapt attention. She was trying to keep herself from laughing at him but was failing miserably at it.

Stormin, who had been lost in his thoughts, had managed to fly headfirst into a stray cloud that was floating nearby. The cloud had a cyan coloreed pegasus sleeping on top of it. The pegasus was sound asleep and was snoring a little, but she didn't seem bothered by the fact that the cloud she was taking a nap on was now drifting towards the weather patrol station. Stormin pulled himself out of the cloud and gave it a push to make it move faster, and landed next to the other two longma that were waiting for him on the ground. The pegasus woke up slightly when the cloud suddenly picked up speed, but she was too tired to care.

********

Rainbow Dash had been up all night taking care of Fluttershy, who managed to catch a small cold while collecting frost berries or something like that. She was too tired to remember the exact name of what Fluershy had been harvesting in the Everfree, only that it grew in winter and was at the edge of the forest. She would have been over at Fluttershy's house today if Carrot Top hadn't decided to help with Fluttershy's chores, and Rainbow Dash definitely needed the break. Rainbow quickly fell asleep again, oblivious to the fact that she was now floating into Ponyville, and more noticeably towards the weather patrol station and the job that she was currently blowing off.

Stormin had taken notice of the way the cloud felt when he had flown into it, and knew instantly that it was a stray snow cloud that had been left unattended. He noticed that Strawberry Cream was looking at him but he quickly pushed it aside, he had bigger problems than his friends sister to worry about. He would rather be back home keeping the weather there under control and on a very strict schedule. The lazy longma he worked with were probably letting a snowstorm hit their town right now when it was supposed to have clear skies.  He would take care of them later though, right now he had a job to do and if things went well he would be set for life. Growing uneasy as the silence between them went on he decided to rant about the laziness of the weather patrols in Equestria, and the fact that sleeping on clouds in areas that are supposed to be clear of any form of condensation was highly unprofessional. Chocolate Dip couldn't care less about the weather as long as his business wasn't affected and he wanted to tell Stormin that ranting about the weather wasn't going to change it, but he was interrupted when he ran into an Earth pony who had a cutie mark that proudly displayed her special talent of growing carrots against her yellowish coat and orange mane.

Chocolate Dip was going to apologize to the mare that he had just ran into, but before he could, the mare ran off towards town screaming. Chocolate Dip looked at his sister who was now chasing the mare and acting like a predator that had found a particularly delicious meal. He wanted to strangle his sister for that one but he had a new problem to deal with, calming down a pony that was certain that they were going to get eaten.

“This is going to be a long day.”was all Chocolate Dip responded with as the mare ran off towards the town, and probably to some form of local authority.

Trixie was awake and doing her job for once, while Pokey sat at his own desk that was brought out of the residencies basement. She yawned from boredom and from sleep deprivation, for some strange reason Trixie had a nightmare where Corona had come back, and instead of burning down all of Equestria, she had decided it would be more profitable to burn all of the Bourbon instead. The rest of the dream got a little fuzzy after that, but She was pretty sure that it had something to do with Trixie and her friends losing to Corona, and that all of Equestria was overthrown because Mr. Bourbon was no longer able to help her.

Trixie tried to stop thinking about the dream, she had a lot of paper work to turn in by the end of the week, and Pokey wasn't going to be able to get it all done by himself. However, she had managed to get the easier forms assigned to herself, while Pokey was left with the mind numbingly long and complex ones. Trixie congratulated herself on a job well done at having gotten herself the easy work, even if there were a few more forms to fill out.

Trixie began to think of what she would do once she was finished with her work. She knew that her free time would probably involve practicing for any of her upcoming shows, and of course trying to learn some new spells, either from one of Twilight's books or from the Zebra spell book. Then after that she would probably find herself staring through the transparent glass of a bottle of Bourbon and pour herself a glass or two as she watched the light reflecting of the surface of the liquid. Then she would bring the glass up to her mouth the light creating a slightly lighter color in the bourbon and then, as the liquid began to dance cross her tongue, she could taste the bourbon as it flowed into her mouth. The taste was incredible far better than that of regular bourbon, it was rich and smooth as if brewed by an expert, and in the background of all of the flavors she could almost make out what sounded like screaming.

Trixie was jolted out of her fantasy when Pokey screamed in her ear, causing her to knock her inkwell over. After a few glares at him she realized that he had something important to say to her, and that she had started to scribble onto the desk. Apparently Carrot Top had nearly knocked her door down in order to talk to her and was in an obvious state of panic. Trixie looked at her desk mulling over whether or not she wanted to talk to her friend while she was in this stae and was instantly disappointed when she noticed that there was no bourbon waiting for her. What she did notice was that she had finished her work, and that she had spilled all of her ink onto her desk. The ink was thick and beginning to harden but that was the least of her worries, her friend, Carrot Top, needed to talk to her and it sounded like it was important.

Pokey had decided to clean up the mess while Trixie went to calm down her friend, and from what he had noticed, something had spooked Carrot Top pretty badly. In fact she was almost hyperventilating when she had gotten to the residency, he had been almost certain that Carrot Top would pass out or go into convulsions from a panic attack, and had taken it upon himself to finish the rest of the work in order for Trixie to calm her down . He even decided to clean up the ink that Trixie had spilled before it managed to sink into the grain of the wood and stain the desk. Pokey looked at the desk and noticed that Trixie had managed to scribbled something that was legible on it while she was daydreaming.

Why is the Bourbon always gone?

******

Carrot Top had been sitting in the living room of the residency when Trixie had come down the stairs and, like Pokey had said, she was a nervous wreck. Carrot Top was sitting on the couch as best she could but she was shaking and sweating profusely, and her eyes were darting back and forth as if she was trying to tell if something was going to jump out at her. Her mane that she was so proud of  looked like she would need to comb it again after having ran all the way here and was beginning to get slit ends. Carrot Top was the first to talk as Trixie neared her and she was in such a state of panic that she almost jumped onto the mare in front of her..

“Trixie! Thank goodness that I found you! I need your help I was chased all the way here by a bunch of creatures that wanted to kill me!"

Carrot Top didn't know why she said what she just did but she was freaking out. That one creature had tried to eat her, she was certain of it, but what really freaked her out was that they all began to chase after her. Trixie had no idea what Carrot Top was screaming about but if she was this freaked out about it then there was obviously something wrong. However, she knew that if anything was to be done about this, she would need Carrot Top to calm down long enough to tell her about what was going on, and what exactly these creatures had been trying to do.

“Please Carrot Top calm yourself. If I am to be of any aid against these ruffians then I am going to need details on what they were doing.”

Trixie hoped that what she had just said would do the trick but what came out of Carrot Top's mouth next was even weirder.

********

Carrot Top began to quickly run through all of the events that lead up to her arrival at the residency and she noped that Trixie would have an idea that would allow hem to deal with this situation.

Carrot Top had been walking down the path to the Everfree in order to harvest the herds that Fluttershy needed in order to make healing remedies for her animals. Admittedly Carrot Top didn't understand how badly a small little animal could injure itself, but, after hearing Fluttershy's stories, she was quickly heading out the door to gather the herbs. She hummed as she made her way down the path that would take her to where the herbs could be found. The herbs were fairly close to the edge of the Everfree but not in it, allowing her to collect them without having to worry about the dangers of the forest.

Carrot Top was so distracted with her humming that she didn't notice the trio of creatures that were just up ahead. When she did notice the it was too late and she ran headfirst into one of them. When she caught her bearings she decided that she should apologize to the pony that she had ran into, and quickly explain why she wasn't paying attention. That was until she noticed that these weren't exactly ponies that she had ran into.

The creature that she had managed to collide with was easily a head taller than Big Macintosh, its main and tail poof were a rich chocolate color that made Carrot top think of a type of fudge like dessert. It had horns that curled backwards and narrowly missed its ears. The scales that covered the creatures body were a light shade of green that almost matched Lyra's coat. The front legs of this creature were claws but it had hooves for its back legs like a normal pony. Unlike the others this one had a horn that jutted out from the center of its forehead, letting her know that this one was the magic user in the group. She also noticed that the scales on its flanks mad a pixelated picture of a mixing bowl, denoting that it was good at mixing things primarily for baking.

The smaller one on her right was almost as tall as Big Macintosh. She, like the one to her, had horns that narrowly missed her ears but her Mane and tail poof were a light pink color. Her scales were white with a slight tint of pink that was almost unnoticeable. Her cutiemark was that of a Strawberry being dipped into a white cream but oddly Carrot Top wondered what that could mean. She didn't have wings or a horn which meant that if she were a normal pony she would be an earth pony

The pegasus like one of the group was the one that initially made her uneasy. He was as tall as the green one but was a dark shade of blue that was slightly purplish. His mane and tail poof were jet black along with his wing membranes. However unlike his mane and tail, the membranes of his wings had white dots on them that looked almost like stars. His cutiemark was that of a raging storm and left little to the imagination about his personality.

Out of the three creatures that stood before her the one that she had ran into was the one that she couldn't tell the gender of. The one on her right was obviously a female and the one on her left was obviously a male, but something about the Unicorn like one confused her. She ultimately decided to call it a her but she didn't even get the chance to apologize to it.

The female of the group had roared furriosly and had started to advance on her with a look of absolute hunger in its oval shaped eyes. Carrot Top began to back up rather quickly noticed that the green one was beginning to advance on the mare of the group. It wasn't fast enough though as the mare charged after her. Carrot Top instantly bolted realizing that her life was in danger. The pegasus of the group took of after her as well. The flying one began to call out after her screaming with delight about how they were going to gut her and snack on her entrails. Carrot Top was now more convinced than ever that she was going to die. If she had been aware that this was nothing more than a sick and twisted joke she may have actually tried to talk to them but she was too scared right now.

Carrot top would have been surprised that these things knew how to speak equestrian if she weren't running for her life. The Unicorn had joined in a while back and was screaming something. Whatever it was though was drowned out by the two that were the closest to her. She eventually outpaced them and made all the way into town making sure to go through all of the side streets in order to try and lose her pursuers. By the time she got to the residency she was tired breathless and had probably wet herself several times but she was determined to get help, even if it was from Trixie, a mare whose help usually wound up having her bet her entire livelihood.

********

Trixie mulled over the description in her mind. Scales, front hooves were claws, long tails, spikes along their backs, cutie marks, horns, sharp teeth, apparently having an equivalent for all of the pony tribes. To her it sounded like a dragon and a bunch of ponies got fused together and decided that they were going to head into Ponyville. She felt that Carrot Top was overreacting just a little. However, any involvement from outside forces felt slim.

Corona was out, Luna herself had said that fusing two creatures together with magic was very difficult to do, and very tiring on top of it and Trixie doubted that these things were sent by her. Discord was an obvious choice, he had the ability to do it according to the legends, and Dragons and Ponies weren't going to get friendly enough for these creatures to be a result of any Dragon and Pony interaction. Trixie blanched slightly at the latter thought and quickly changed her train of thought in order to purge those foul images from her mind, but Discord's escape felt slim as well She decided that Princess Luna was the only one that would have an answer that would calm down her friend and decided that a letter to her mentor was in order.

''I'll contact Princess Luna and ask her if she knows anything about these creatures that you described, but maybe we should go check this out just in case this is a prank Rainbow Dash conceived, you how she can be sometimes.... So... these creature's are some sort of Dragon and Pony hybrid, and they wanted... to, eat you?”

“Yes! Of course they wanted to eat me! The mare was practically drooling when she was looking at me! And then they all chased after me, and when I looked back the mare was obviously hunting me down!”

Carrot Top was starting to panic again but then she stopped as if realizing for the first time that the creatures hadn't chased her all the way to the residency. She then realized that they may have given up in order to chase a different pony that would have been easier to catch.

*******

Stormin was laughing and rolling around in the snow and showed no sign of stopping by the time Chocolate Dip had caught up to them. Chocolate Dip was more versed with magic than athletics and he usually moves so slow that a turtle might be able to pass him up.

“Good one Strawberry,” Stormin wheezed “I bet you had that mare believing that we were gonna' eat her and then move on to the rest of the town.”

Chocolate Dip didn't seem happy when Stormin mentioned that and he let them know it. He had been hoping to have caught the orange maned pony in order to explain things, but that had only caused the mare to have a near panic attack when she had looked to see if they were following her. So far Chocolate Dip was having a bad day and he was wanting to skip over the town even more than before. He couldn't though, they needed supplies and they were running out of food. Apparently his sister eats more than she lets on, even though she is still at a healthy weight. She could probably eat a whole barn full of food and still not gain any weight, although Chocolate Dip was the same way but that was probably due to him being a little hyperactive at times due to the amount of sugar in his system. He suspected that Strawberry had a tapeworm but the doctors always say that she doesn't and that she just gets enough exercise or something like that..

He had originally wanted Strawberry to stay back at the bakery and keep the sweets rolling out of the ovens but, like all little sisters, she had decided to tag along. It felt like her only reason for tagging along on this trip was just to annoy him, and maybe it was, but he knew far too well what his sister's intentions were. Ever since a drunk earth pony who called herself Cheerilee had managed to travel a frozen lake and 20 miles over mountainous terrain into their little town, his sister had been the cause of all his stress. What the pony was even doing up near the northern border of Elkheim was another question that was yet to be answered.

Chocolate Dip knew that Ponies never traveled that far north not even the cervids themselves went beyond the northern border of their nation very often, and especially not into longma territory unless they were traders. He had heard that the pony had originally been in the Griffon kingdoms and, after having gotten wasted there, had managed to travel hundreds of miles to the north. She had wound up just north of Elkheim and had apparently wanted to see the view from the tops of the mountains. He had heard similar stories but mainly involving pegasi that had too much griffin ale and had woken up somewhere near Cabelleria, some even woke up in the middle of the Mild West from what he had heard.

Chocolate never believed the tales the traveling merchants that passed through town usually told. They were usually about getting ambushed by robbers, or how they had been in some forest and found an old ruin filled filled with cursed treasure. But occasionally they talked about some political events that were going on in Elkheim or the Griffin Kingdoms, and sometimes they talked about those funny creatures called ponies that lived to the south, and couldn't hold their alcohol well enough to keep from vomiting. The traveling merchants were a sight for sore eyes usually, they were always deer because Elkheim was the only country that was really aware that the longma even existed, but some ponies in Equestria like princess Luna knew that they existed.

It was an unusually calm night when that magenta earth pony had wondered over the southern mountains and Chocolate Dip was at the local pub getting ready to settle down with a rather large tankard of ale. He recalled that  an Elkheim merchant was there talking about some news he had gotten from the Griffin Kingdoms. It seemed like the only thing they ever heard about was griffins but they were probably the only nation that Elkheim merchants traveled to. He remembered his sister was there at the bar with him and she was more than a little tipsy, in fact she had just turned old enough to be allowed into the really strong drinks and was nearly falling over.

The rest of then night after that was a mix of colors as several of the longma started dancing to a song that a local musician began to play. The musician was still a novice but he always played songs at the local pub for practice, even if tey hated his playing. The tune was slow at first allowing the longma to gather their partners and then it quickly began picking up pace as the music began to flow into a crescendo. The ponies around Chocolate began to move faster when a second voice entered the melody and began singing with the first one. The muscician tried his best to play the song but the melody was rather unpleasant. Instead of Tiamat being week and tricking their ancestors into helping her the song made it sound like they willingly took care of her.

The real story had something to do with being enslaved by the mother of the dragons and being manipulated into doing her bidding. Then she had managed to get outside help that allowed her to transform the currently freezing and starving ponies of the north into the first longma. She then proceeded to make them into her personal army that would help her overthrow the Alicorn sisters. This plan failed though, she didn't expect the sisters to be so strong or that they would be almost unharmed by the attacks that her newest creations would launch.

She ultimately fell and the sisters left the longma alone almost oblivious to the fact that they still existed. That was until the moon princess returned to them in their dreams and apologized for having let them be enslaved like that and for having hurt them during the battle. She would repeat this process over the coarse of several years but she would soon learn that the longma were not happy that they had done almost nothing to compensate for the damage. Even to this very day the longma hated the Alicorns and believed that they, for all of their power, did nothing to help those that needed it. They were beginning to understand why the Alicorns didn't help in a way that the longma would understand, but the damage was done. The longma don't forget easily and they weren't about to let Luna get away with doing nothing.

In fact only recently have the longma just started to like Luna but Corona was out of the question. The song brought Chocolate Dip out of his recollection of history and pubiic views and was slowly starting to get to Tiamat's defeat. The song would have continued on if a certain magenta colored  coat hadn't rushed on stage and knocked out the musician.

The entire crowd of longma stopped moving and looked up at the stage and gasped, not because the musician was out cold, that always happened, but it was because up on stage was an earth pony who, was clearly drunk and, started asking for a song that they could actually dance to instead of some sort of dirge. The longma, although they agreed with her because the local musician was terrible, couldn't help but stare at her as she tried to get a different musician up on stage.

When the pony realized that no one else there had an instrument she eventually gave up and walked off of the stage. Then as if to help make her night more lively she grabbed Strawberry Cream and ran off with her, giving only a small introduction before leaving . He remembered just shrugging it off and hoping that the musician would wake up soon and finish the song, even if he thought that the musician was the worst that he had ever heard. He probably would have been more concerned about his sister if the levels of alcohol in his system were lower, but right now he was only concerned with the mare that was wanting him to take her for a walk, he didn't indulge her though. The next day he found out that the magenta earth pony had left, and that his sister had done things that were of a very scandalous and life destroying nature. He was also surprised that the musician didn't wake up until morning, longma were a bit stronger than ponies and believed them to be soft, but he had heard that earth ponies were pretty tough, and he was also pretty certain that the musician was highly intoxicated.

Chocolate Dip was broken out of his reverie when his sister decided it would be fun to trip him with her tail. He didn't even remember having walked far but know he was in front of the town hall and had fallen face first into the snow. There were no ponies on the streets and Strawberry Cream was smiling devilishly, Chocolate Dip knew she scared them off and he wasn't happy at all, furious would have been a better term, but he thought that even that may be an understatement if she caused more trouble.

*****

Trixie was awaiting princess Luna's reply to her letter, and in the meantime was trying to make Carrot Top more comfortable. She went off to brew some tea to help her friend relax and hopefully forget what had happened to her. Carrot Top waited patiently for her friend to come back with the tea and began to casually inspect the state of the residencies living room. It was rather plain and not very decorated but Trixies salary probably wasn't large enough for anything too extravagant. Carrot Top then began to gaze out the window while trying to keep boredom from setting in.

Outside Stormin had managed to break away from the other two as they tried to get in to see the mayor. He felt that it was probably a lost cause and decided to fly by the nearby houses and frighten anypony that was inside. While flying round he spotted Carrot Top and decided that a little more fear was in order. He quickly flew up to the window that the mare was looking out oaf and roared at her casing the mare to bury herself in the sofa for refuge. Stormin said a few more things to the mare then he flew off to terrorize his next victim.

Carrot Top was relieved when the flying longma left and realized that she was now deeply wedged inside of the sofa. Embarrassed by her lack of fortitude she tried to free herself from the couch. She slid out pretty easily but was quickly disappointed when her head wouldn't come out.

By the time trixie had returned Carrot Top had somehow manged to get her head completely stuck inside of the couch, and the two friends spent the better half of an hour trying to reclaim her head from the couch cushions. While Trixie battled with the couch that was eating her friend, Pokey had managed to clean up all of the ink and was working on finishing up the last of the documents that needed to be sent. By the time Carrot Top was finally freed from the couch princess Luna had responded to Trixie's letter and her response was now lying on top of Trixie's head. When Trixie took of her hat and grabbed the letter she wondered why she didn't just leave it on the table, because not only had a letter come through but also a small package that felt like it had rocks in it.

Trixie opened the letter and, as she read it, she didn't know whether to be relieved or to be concerned.

Dear Trixie,

I am afraid that your friend is the victim of a prank. Those creatures haven't been to Equastria in over 600 years and they wouldn't just show up for no reason. I will be at the local festival that the mayor has prepared for me and if trouble ensues you can talk to me then. I have also sent a green quartz crystal to help further your study of zebra magic in case Zeora decides to return again.

Your Mentor:

Princess Luna Equestris.

Trixie wanted to lie to her, the mare was already convinced that they wanted to eat her, and telling  her that they were possibly just pranks wouldn't end well. It turned out Trixie was right.

"A prank! There is no way those things were a prank! I touched them, they were not just some pieces of fabric stitched together, they were real flesh and blood! How could Luna completely overlook this! We need to get her to do something when she comes to that festival tomorrow."

"Whoa! Calm down, Luna isn't just going to drop everything just because somepony got chased through a couple of streets. She has other things to deal with and Luna is actually coming today to talk with the mayor."

Carrot Top almost froze at that, a plan worthy of Trixie forming in her fear hazed mind. All she had to do was get those creatures to chase her again and bring them to Luna, how hard could that be? Carrot Top then began to wonder what they were like. Well they definitely don't seam friendly. What would they eat? Probably ponies by the way the mare looked at her, something registered slightly in Carrot Tops confused mind that they probably didn't eat ponies, but that only made her worry about the princess's visit. Trixie realized that she forgot the tea and ran into the kitchen to get it and came back out later with the pot and tea cups.

Trixie walked over to her levitating a tray lined with tea cups in her blue aura. The tea cups were simple, nothing fancy or ornate like she believed the nobles or the princess would have in their homes. The tea was poured and Carrot Top took a sip of it, she didn't feel any better than when she had earlier, but she did notice that Trixie was mixing some bourbon into hers. Maybe Carrot Top would feel a little better if she had a drink but she decided that alcohol would only make things worse in the long run. She decided in her mind that Raindrops would be the best one to try and comfort her. She was strong and could probably teach those creatures a lesson, especially if she could beat a griffin in a wrestling match.

Carrot Top then thought of the rest of her friends and wondered what they would do if they ever ran into those creatures. Her train of thought didn't last long however, as the sound of screams came from the mayors place, screams that were soon to be followed by laughter.
