I’m friends with a monster, Silver Spoon thought to herself. It had taken her years, but now she finally realized how bad Diamond Tiara truly was.
“Hah, losers!” Diamond Tiara laughed as the Cutie Mark Crusaders waddled in mud. The Cutie Mark Crusaders had done nothing wrong (except copious amounts of property damage), and yet here they were, mocking them for no reason (other than their stupidity).
How I wish I could be their friend, instead of hers, Silver thought sadly. They were the kindest fillies in school-
“Apple Bloom, you stupid country hick! Look at what you did to my scooter!”
And they never put each other down.
“Aw, shut up, ya chicken!” Apple Bloom replied with a glare. “It’s not mah fault ya drive like a drunk!”
And they always owned up to their mistakes.
“...I like Elmo’s World,” Sweetie muttered as she watched her two friends fight.
Indeed, they would be a much better friend than Diamond Tiara.
“Hey, Silver Spoon. You want to hang out at the milkshake bar? My treat!” Diamond Tiara offered with a smile. A no doubt devilish smile that was clearly evil.
I wonder what evil lurks in that mind of hers, Silver thought to herself, her courage to stand up to this bully increasing with every second.
Silver Spoon’s birthday’s coming up soon. I wonder what I should get her? Diamond Tiara thought (EVILLY) to herself. She likes cartoons...maybe a couple of ‘Adventure Time’ figures? Truly Diamond Tiara cared little for Silver Spoon. Finally Silver had enough of Diamond Tiara’s lies. She would now stand up to herself.
“Diamond Tiara, I hate you!” Silver shouted, causing Diamond Tiara to gasp.
“W-what? Why?” Diamond Tiara asked, tears spilling from her eyes. Silver Spoon felt no pity as she glared at her now nemesis.
“Because you make fun of the Crusaders every day!”
“...So do you!” Diamond Tiara accused, much to Silver’s annoyance.
“You are a horrible influence, and I shall never be your friend again!” Silver said as she walked up to the confused Crusaders. “From now on, I am a friend to the Crusaders!” Silver said with a smile. Everypony stared in shock, unable to say anything. Eventually the Crusaders smiled, and rose from the mud. Together, they held their heads high, and shouted with all of their might:
“CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS FRIEND STEALERS YAY!!!”
The four fillies walked with each other, all having a large smile upon their faces, for completely different reasons. Silver was happy she finally kicked that good for nothing ‘friend’ of hers to the curb, Scootaloo was happy cause she actually had lunch that day (the orphanage often starved her for being disruptive), Apple Bloom was happy cause she got mud in her fur (typical earth pony filth), and Sweetie was happy cause later that day Elmo’s World would have a marathon.
“So, what do you gals wanna do first?” Silver Spoon asked excitedly. She finally got to hang out with truly good ponies, who knew how to have real fun. She couldn’t wait to hear their suggestions.
“Hmm, ah don’t know,” Apple Bloom said with a shrug. “Wanna see if we can git our cutie marks in arson?”
“YEAH!” her fellow Crusaders quickly agreed, much to the shock of Silver Spoon.
“Arson? But isn’t that-”
“CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS ARSONATORS YAY!” the trio shouted with joy. They quickly ran off ahead of Silver Spoon, who tried dilligentley to keep up.
M-maybe they’re just joking? she tried to reason. I mean, not even they’re stupid enough to- her thoughts trailed off as a sea of flames began burning down all of Sweet Apple Acres. ...I’m sure they didn’t mean to do that.
“That was fun!” Scootaloo said with a smile. She then turned to Silver Spoon and gave her a tight hug. “Hey, after this, you wanna come over to my place? I have my own cardboard box,” Scootaloo said with a wink.
“...Maybe some other time,” Silver declined as she gently plucked away Scootaloo’s hoof. Okay, they’re a bit creepy. B-but I’m sure it’ll get better as time goes on- she was interrupted as Apple Bloom quickly appeared before her, a stick tied to her muzzle.
“Hey Silver! Look, ah’m a elephant!” Apple Bloom squee’d as she blew her nose at Silver Spoon.
“That’s...nice,” Silver Spoon said as she wiped away Apple Bloom’s snot with an irritated smile. This is...fun. Way better than hanging out with DT, Silver Spoon thought to herself. Yes, hanging out with the Crusaders was much more fun than hanging out with Diamond-
“I have an idea!” Scootaloo shouted with a raised hoof. “Let’s get our cutie marks in attempted murder!!”
“In what?!” Silver Spoon yelled, looking aghast. “Y-you’re joking, right?! We could go to prison!”
“Yeah!” Apple Bloom agreed with a smile. “Let’s do it!” Apple Bloom said with a smile, earning cheers from her fellow crusaders.
“...Oh sweet Celestia Diamond was right,” Silver Spoon muttered as she silently sneaked away from the Cutie Mark Crusaders. She had to patch things up with Diamond Tiara, or else she would forever be friends with…them.
“Stupid Silver Spoon, abandoning me for those blank flanks,” Diamond Tiara muttered, poking at her hay loaf in annoyance.
“It’s a tragedy, Miss Tiara,” Randolph agreed with a nod.
“Exactly! You know what?” Diamond Tiara asked as she turned to her butler.
“What, Miss Tiara?”
“I don’t care if she ever comes back! I will never forgive her for this betrayal!” Diamond Tiara growled. It was at that moment her doorbell rang. “I bet that’s her right now!” Diamond Tiara yelled as she got up from her seat. She quickly made her way to the door and opened it, seeing a teary eyed Silver Spoon in front of her.
“I was wrong!” Silver Spoon sobbed. “I was terribly wrong! They’re horrible! Please, take me back?” Silver Spoon begged. Diamond Tiara didn’t budge however, continuing to glare at her former friend.
“No,” Diamond Tiara said as she slammed the door in Silver Spoon’s face. Diamond Tiara quickly walked away from her door, until she heard silent sniffling. Is she crying? Diamond Tiara asked herself. With a sigh she turned back and opened her door, seeing a sniveling Silver Spoon before her.
“Please?” she begged, tugging at Diamond Tiara’s heartstrings. Groaning to herself, Diamond Tiara moved aside and motioned for her friend.
“Alright, you’re forgiven,” she said, a small smile appearing on her lips.
