//-------------------------------------------------------// The Golden Kingdom -by GodOfBBQ- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter #2 Light struck //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter #2 Light struck When Twilight, Pinkie pie, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow dash, and Rarity returned to Ponyville they went on with their normal routines and jobs. One day when Rainbow Dash was working on her weather job she was assigned to get rid of a stray lighting cloud near the lake about a couple hundred feat in the air. She figured since she dealt with lightning clouds before and flew even higher than the cloud was said to be the job would be finished in a short amount of time so she head out to where the cloud was and started to think about ways to get rid of the cloud. She just tried to buck it, when it didn't budge she bucked it even harder making a lightning volt to come out of it and strike the lake below it sending energy throughout the entire bed of water. The third buck was the hardest shes ever had to kick a cloud but when she struck the cloud it zapped her, she was still conscious but wasn't able to move her wings! When she started to fall she thought quickly and came up with the idea to land in the water, it would hurt she thought but she would still be safe. So she aimed for the water, she did land successfully in the water but the energy and electricity from the volt was strong enough to still be in the water! She then felt the energy run through her she kicked and struggled to get out but she was in the near center of the lake so she was stuck. When she was struggling she saw a bright light heading towards her and as all this was happening she saw her whole life play out in front of her. She saw herself first learning to fly, she saw herself creating her first sonic rainboom, the very last thing she saw was her friends and herself together in a loving group hug. Then she stopped struggling and shut her eyes letting the bright light consume her, and with that she died. After a few hours the other weather Pegasi began to wonder where Rainbow Dash was, they knew she would never quit early on a job so they sent out search parties to look for her what they found shocked and crushed them, they found Rainbow's body floating in the water belly up. They fished her out and got her body to the hospital. All her friends were at the hospital waiting for the results for what condition their dear friend was in. The doctor came out with a saddening face and reported "I'm sorry, we tried everything we could but we... Just couldn't save her." "What! No!" yelled Applejack with a trembling voice, "She can't be dead sh-shes to strong!" With tears in her eyes Applejack trembled down Rarity comforting her the best she could without crying but couldn't help it she started crying with Applejack. Pinkie Pie turning a dark pink and her hair turning less curly said "B-but shes Rainbow Dash sh-she can't d-die." Twilight trying to comfort Pinkie said "She was the strongest but she was still like you and me Pinkie, s-still able to... Pass on." Twilight and her friends hugging each other trying to keep some comfort in such a saddening situation. The rest of the night was silent and depressing. A few week later the funeral of Rainbow Dash was held at the center of town everypony attended this for she contributed to the town in all the ways possible. And it was that night that confirmed Rainbow Dash the sporty, arrogant but caring pony was now in the golden kingdom of their god or goddess. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter #3 Misleading words //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter #3 Misleading words The death or Rainbow Dash troubled Twilight. Twilight even asked herself "Why, why did she die, why did she die shortly after the Darkhorn incident?" She decided to sleep on it. But at the same time Pinkie pie was still awake, still wondering why her dearest friend died, she then decided to do what she does best, she was going to throw a party in the honor of Rainbow Dash but she wanted the party to be only between her and the spirit of Rainbow dash so she took out what was left of her decorations and baked a sloppy cake and set it on a table where the party was set up. She cut herself a slice of the cake she baked and she even cut a slice of cake and set it in front of an empty chair where she thought Rainbow Dash would be sitting. Then Pinkie Pie started to hear voices but these voices sounded a lot like Rainbow Dash. The voices said "Come with me Pinkie come with me to the land of gold!" and "I'm waiting out side for you Pinkie! Jump on my back from your room and I'll fly you there!" Pinkie pie being in her last state of mind went up to her room and said "I'm coming Dash I-I'm coming!" She then said as she was getting ready to jump from her balcony "You'll catch me right?" The voices replying "Of course I would never trick you!" Pinkie then got on her balcony but from afar Rarity saw this and ran straight towards her house hoping to catch her or at least break her fall but she was too late. When Pinkie jumped she heard these last few words "I got ya!" when she opened her eyes she saw the ground quickly come at her. Pinkie then said "Dash?" and then SPLAT! Rarity was close enough to get some of Pinkie's blood on her. Horrified at this she quickly ran towards Twilight's house to tell her what she just saw. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter #4 Isolation //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter #4 Isolation Rarity ran full speed while screaming like a banshee to Twilight's house. When she gets there she practically breaks the door down yelling for Twilight. Twilight hears this and quickly runs down her stairs to see a bloodied Rarity screaming and crying. "Tw-Twilight! Twilight shes dead! SHES DEAD SHES DEAD!" She yelled and whined. "What!? Who's dead" What's going on? Twilight asks with a concerned voice. "I-I saw her jump off her balcony! I saw her flowing pink mane drift in the wind as she was falling!" Hearing "Pink mane" made Twilight figure out who Rarity was crying and screaming about. She then asks "A-are you trying to tell me Pinkie Pie died?" She asked trying not to cry. "Y-yeeeees!" Rarity whined. Realizing this Twilight quickly started to tear up and hug Rarity. Meanwhile Fluttershy was so scared about what happened to Rainbow dash she completely isolated herself from other ponies, her only company were some of her forest friends. She was so scared and paranoid she even boarded up her windows and door to make sure nothing bad would happen to her. But her animal friends didn't know what was going on, they simply thought it was a game so they decided to play a little prank on their owner knowing she would get the pants scared off her they thought they would have a good laugh at the end. So they got some quilts and other supplies and created a mask that depicted a pony skull. So one night when Fluttershy was sleeping the animals stood on top of each other to the height of a pony, Angel bunny was the head part wearing the mask they gently shook her to wake her up. When she woke up she gasped but started to have a heart attack! The animals thought she was just coughing because she got startled but she was choking and struggling to breath and placing her hoof where her heart would be. But in no time she stopped squirming and just lye there dead on her bed. When the animals had their laugh they noticed Fluttershy wasn't moving anymore. Angel went to check on her but learned she wasn't breathing and was dead. He looked to the animals with a shocked and saddened expression. The animals automatically new what the problem was. A small mouse quickly scurried out of the cottage to Twilight's house to warn her about Fluttershy. When the mouse got to the house it saw Rarity and Twilight sitting on the ground holding each other. The mouse squeaked to get their attention Twilight noticed this and new that was one of Fluttershy's pets. "Rarity look" Twilight says as she points at the mouse. It was squeaking rapidly and loudly "Whats it saying?" asked Rarity with a brow up but tears still in her eyes "It's pointing in the direction where Fluttershy lives." Said Twilight "Fluttershy!" They both look at each other then run out the door. When they arrive they see a cottage that's boarded up and abandoned. Twilight and Rarity quickly use their magic to rip off the boards and open the door. When they rush up to Fluttershy's room they quickly see her lifeless body surrounded by the animals that she saved or cared for. But what made this more chilling the moon was shining bright enough to make a shadow with the window panels. There was wood separating the glass into fourths and it cast a cross shaped shadow on the bed where Fluttershy lay lifeless. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter #5 Trying to escape fate //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter #5 Trying to escape fate That night when Twilight and Rarity saw that they just stayed at that house for the rest of the night. They went to see Applejack and inform her about what happened to Pinkie and Fluttershy. When they told her she quickly broke down crying. To stay safe they decided to stay at each others side for as long as they can, so they figured they would go to Twilight's house. When they got their there was a scroll near Twilight's door, Twilight picked it up and read it out loud it said "Dear Twilight after doing some research I figured out what that sentence Darkhorn men't. It was demon tongue for "Death to the pure hearted" and after doing some testing and research I learned it was a curse which will only work on those with pure hearts, and there is a cure but it's best if you come to Canterlot to learn what the cure is, it's not safe there in Ponyville. Come to Canterlot once you receive this letter. Princess Celestia. After reading that they bought a ticket for the first train trip to Canterlot of the day. When they got to the castle they were escorted by to guards to the throne room where Celestia was waiting for them with books, candles, and a semi large but sharp blade. Twilight asks "What is all this, is all this needed for the cure?" Celestia then answers "yes, but we need one more thing" "What?" asked Applejack dumbly "An infant animal of any type" "What? why? Why do we need a baby animal?" Rarity asked "Just go and get an animal in the market place" Celestia demanded. Twilight then sent Applejack and Rarity to get the animal. "Why do we need the animal"? Twilight asked "Because the cure calls for the blood of an infant animal." Celestia answered "What!" Twilight screamed "Yes but sadly that's not the only thing we need. We need the horn of a very powerful unicorn. At first I thought it be be me or my sister but we're alicorns, our horns wouldn't count. It would have to be you Twilight. I'm sorry." Twilight looked at the princess with surprise but she knew it had to be her, other than Rarity she was the only unicorn who is capable of ending the curse. "Ok, I understand. I understand it must be me." Twilight looked at the princess with tears preparing in her eyes. Celestia pulled Twilight in closer with her wing to comfort her. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter #6 Lifting the curse, ending a life (Final) //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter #6 Lifting the curse, ending a life (Final) While Twilight was learning what she must do, Applejack and Rarity were looking for an infant animal, luckily there was a traveling petting zoo that had baby calves. It did cost a lot but using the money the princess gave them they bought the calve. When they were heading back a guard fell asleep on the top of the castle, letting his spear drop down, Rarity was lucky to spot it in time to save Applejack's life but she was in the way of the spear when it landed. it landed right in her back she knew she only had a few hours before she would go into shock and die. She told applejack "Hurry Applejack hurry and get the curse lifted it's our only hope of surviving! Get the animal to Celestia she knows what to do!" And with that Applejack quickly galloped towards the castle doors dashed up the stairs and into the throne room. She saw Twilight looking depressed and Celestia looking depressed as well. After being told what had to be done she teared up. But was reassured by a smirking Twilight as she said "It's ok Aj it's just one of those things that needs to happen" After she said that she asked Applejack her last request "Applejack?" "Yeah?" Applejack answered "When I get my horn cut I want you to end my pain. Please it's my final request." Applejack starts to cry and says "Ok Twilight I-I'll do it... For you." Twilight laid her head on the table and says "Thank you." Meanwhile Rarity is in the hospital for the fatal wound. She prays to herself that the curse will be lifted and she will be fine. She keeps repeating that over and over again until it becomes true. Back at the castle Celestia sharpens the blade and gets ready to do the procedure. When Celestia starts to cut the infant cow the blood comes seeping out from the cut. Crying from the calve could be heard Applejack covered her ears to save herself the misery of having to listen to the death of a life that did not get to live it. When the blood drips off the blade and onto the horn of Twilight Celestia starts to cut the horn off. At this moment both Applejack and Rarity hear two things moaning but in a deeper and more demonic tone and death bells. Then they here the demonic voice go "No NO NO NOOOOOOOOOO!" Applejack suddenly realizes that the moaning was Darkhorn being defeated. After a few seconds the princess has only one cut then the horn will be off. She slices it of having Twilight moan and scream in pain. Twilight then yells "Aj... DO IT!! NOWWW! Applejack quickly grabs the blade from Celestia and points in over Twilight's head, it would be quick and painless. Applejack then says "I'm sorry Twi, see you in the next life... I love you!" She then drives the blade straight through her head she could feel the skull cracking from the blade. When she pulled out the knife she knew Twilight was surely gone. Celestia then says "It's done the curse is lifted." Suddenly they hear loud screaming they see the face of Darkhorn rise from the detached horn of Twilight's. While this was happening Rarity's wounds were healing and she kept feeling better after every second. After she was able to walk she ran straight towards the castle, but when she got to the throne room she saw Applejack looking down at Twilight's lifeless body with a bloodied blade next to her. Rarity rushed to where Applejack and Twilight's body was. Applejack stopped her saying "She gone Rarity, but she wanted this. She didn't want to suffer." Rarity then asked "Where do you think she is now?" while sniffling and tearing up. "I bet she's right above us with the others, in that golden kingdom. Where one day we will meet them. They will be waiting for us. They will rush to us when we meet them there with hugs and blessings. "Twilight. Twilight! when Twilight opened her eyes she found herself in a place made of gold and clouds, and around her she saw her friends who passed before her, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy. Pinkie pie was standing in front of her with a smile on her face and said Gosh Twilight we've been waiting for you for a really really reeeaaallly long time. "Yeah, what took ya?" asked Rainbow Dash "W-why are you all so happy, don't you know your dead?" asked Twilight with amazement. "Well yes we know were in the golden kingdom where all the ponies who pass away go, and here sadness nor pain exists." Fluttershy added. "Well who wants to check out the place huh?" Asked Rainbow dash with enthusiasm "Oh I would love to" said Fluttershy "Oh Totally!!!" said Pinkie with a lot of energy "I would like that" Said Twilight. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter #1 Death of a warlock, Rise of a curse //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter #1 Death of a warlock, Rise of a curse PROLOGUE A while ago a dark and evil spirit arose, but this spirit was not one of good tidings. This spirit was called Tenebrarum tubæ or Darkhorn, unlike the villains from the past that Twilight and her friends conquered he was much more powerful, more powerful than Discord or King Sombra and more evil than Queen Chrysalis or Tirek. He is the true embodiment of of vengeance, anger, hatred, death, dark magic, and evil. Nopony knew how he rose not even Celestia herself knew how he became, but she did know this he had great power this was true for when he attacked the town of Manehatten he completley wiped everyone and everything that was their. Causing the awareness of Princess Celestia she sent Twilight and her friends to use the new power they used to defeat Tirek to hopefully defeat or at least weaken him. When Twilight and her friends confronted Darkhorn in the ruins of Manehatten this happened. "Darkhorn!" shouted Twilight, "Surrender your power while you still have the chance! If you don't you will be defeated!" After hearing this Darkhorn rose up from his custom made throne made from buildings and other large objects. He then said in his dark and demonic voice "Fine I surrender my power in fact I surrender my life." "What!?" Said Rainbow dash with a shout "That's all we had to do!? No fighting or anything!? she continued. "Yeah!" Applejack added, "You would at least put up some sort of fight." Darkhorn then added "I surrender for it is not my time just yet" and with that he said only said "Mors est in corde puro!" then two things happened a green and black orb shot at Twilight and her friends and covered them in a dark green shine and afterwards he burned up and turned into dark ash and dust. With amazement Twilight said "What just happened? "Did he die?" Applejack added "Maybe he's somewhere else" Fluttershy added "Well wherever he is hes gone now I'm sure" said Rarity with a reassuring tone. Afterwards they left Manehatten and reported what they witnessed in Manehatten and what Darkhorn said before he burned up. What our heroes told Celestia even confused her. Then Twilight asked "What do you think  Mors est in corde puro mean? It's not any language that I know of." Then Celestia answered "I don't know but it does trouble me, I will do the best I can to find out what it means, for now carry on with your usual lives but stay alert to any trouble. And if you see any let me know" Twilight and her friends all answer "okay" and leave to Ponyville
