My little Horror show
Night 7
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"Mister....Mister....Are you okay?"
Hearing an unknown voice, I awake to find myself eye to eye with another pony. My sight being fuzzy, I blinked a few times. I then found myself staring into two orange eyes.
That's also when I saw the faint trickle of blood running down her face.
I tried to move, but pain started to fill my body. I grabbed the two pillows at my disposal, and laid on top of them. That's when I saw it.In between her ears was a giant cleaver, lodged deep. Couldn't she feel it?
I struggled abit, still in pain, and in uncomfortable. This place was making me squirm, and they knew it.
"I don't think moving is a good idea.." Another voice came from somewhere out of my range of vision. Another filly,( how many are in this hotel?) made her way to my bedside. She looked fine to me, so what was her story?
"Do you want me to fix your pillows?" she asked. I noded. That's when I saw her back. There were bones sticking out, with feeble feathers still hanging on. I guess she used to be a Pegasus before something happened to her.
She fixed my pillows, and she and the yellow one helped lay me down again. I hear the door creak open, and I turn my head to see the nurse come in. As she got closer, I struggled more, getting myself tangled in the blanket, and igniting the pain again. When she got to the bedside, I just gave up to the pain in me, just hoping whatever she was going to do with, if painful, was quick.
The two fillies were still by my bed. The yellow one spoke up, "Nurse Red heart, what's wrong with him?"
The nurse checked my eyes, and felt my forehead. "Just some broken bones and major blood loss. Nothing time and a little work can't fix. But there is one thing..." She avoided the subject by untangling me from the sheet. She then turned to the yellow filly.
"Now, what's wrong with you?" She asked. The yellow filly backed away, along with her friend, and shock her head. "Now Apple bloom, Scootaloo..." The nurse sighed. "Nurse, the guest and we want to know what's wrong!" Apple bloom protected.
"Okay, okay. I'll tell you.." She turns to face me, as well as the fillies, who had wide eyes. "You know how you haven't been talking lately?" I nod. "Okay, I don't have to explain. Well, when you were in my office, you passed out, and I did some tests and, well.." She paused, thinking of how to tell me.
"Your vocal cords are damaged."
The gasps from the fillies was a understatement to the horror I felt at the news. I felt a panic attack rising.
Apple bloom turned to Red heart. "Is it permanent? Do you have any ideas?" The nurse shocked
her head. "I really don't know. This happens to most visitors, so I'm not surprised."
She turned and started to shove the two out of the room. "Now you two run along, I have work to do here." The two ran out, happly chatting, Scootaloo did a little flutter jump, like she expected to fly.
Red heart came back to my side, a sympathetic look on her face. "Now, what I'm going to do might hurt. Would you like it if I knock you out?" She asked. I slowly nod.
She injects something into my arm, and I gratefully pass out.
POV change
Red heart stood over the knocked out stallion, watching his chest rise and fall. He looked so peaceful.
"You told him?" Derpy asked from the doorway. "Yes, he knows, and took it very well." She gave a small smile. "This is no time for jokes, if head of house finds out, we would be screwed."
Red heart ran her hoof through her mane. "What if we don't tell her?" Derpy thought that over for a minute. "I would get all the blame..."
"So what? Aren't you immune?" Red heart asked, taking a loose nail and running it down Derpy's arm. Derpy cried out in pain, as her arm disappeared and reappeared in gold mist. "Yes, I am." Derpy muttered. "And I guess she doesn't need to know."
She looked over to the bed. "He is okay, right. I don't want to face Head's wrath for nothing." Red heart nodded. "He looks so peaceful... I wonder what brought him here."
"Good, I have other things to take care of. You will take care of him, right?" "Yes, I no where else to go." Derpy nodded, as she left the room.
