My little Horror show
Night 9
Previous ChapterI yawned and stretched, exspting to find myself in my own bedroom in Ponyvile. But to my shock and disappointment, I find myself in that wretched hotel.
I get up, and as I hear unsettling singing. I recognized the song as from the other night. I know it's coming from the hallway, so I softly make my way over to the door, as to not alert the singer.
Once I was in the hallway, the singing stopped. I was just about to go back into my room and pass that off as just me going nuts when I saw something. It was speeding towards me, and I only just had time to duck. The bottom of the thing just scraped my ears.
I looked up to see the orange mare from… How many nights ago. It’s hard to keep count. She smiled down at me in an unsettling manner. I looked back up at her, our eyes connecting. She had an air of unease about her, making my back legs tremble.
“Yer closest friend just told you their deepest secret. The next day, she drags you along to sign up fer the the school newspaper. You sign up to do the gossip column. But ye are pressured into spillin’ somethin’ deep. The only thing that comes to yer mind is yer friends’ secret. So, what do you do?”
She leans closer to me. I bite the inside of my lip. Nice to know there are real life bastards in Ponyville. Of course I wouldn't sell the secrets of any pony close to me!
“Oh, so you say you won’t sell yer friend’s secret?” Wait, what? I look her in the face. Her green eyes stood out more now, as her fur started to turn green. I nod. She pulls out two gems like things. One is orange, the other is a dull gray. They’re both shaped like apples. I guess they’re one part of the elements of harmony I keep hearing about. Not like I ever saw them.
She tosses them in the air. The bright one shatters into a million pieces. I fold my ears back as the pieces rain down on me. The mare leans in closer.
“Lair.”
She turns on her monorail-type transportation and speed away. I was left to stare down at the glass sticking into my hooves, and the blood pooling in the carpet.
“Lair. Lair. Lair. Lairrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr~!”
I growl, a sound that I was surprised I could still do.
“That’s no way to talk to the mare whom’s risking everything for you.” Derpy slipped in front of me. She looks down. Gagging, she covers her nose. “Eww… I’m getting some pony to clean this up…” She looks at me. “As well as you.”
“You should know better!” She snapped. I look at her with narrowed eyes. “Betraying friends like that.” I just tilt my head. “What?!” She shrilled, “I have friends.”
“As well as secrets.” A voice joined in. “You wouldn’t spill them, would you?” We both look up. The orange mare was suspended over us. She was smiling down at us, showing off sharp teeth. “Go away, Aj.” Derpy hissed. “Hmm… Should I spill this to Rar-” “Don’t you dare!” She growled. I was surprised she had it in her.
The mare raised her hooves in defense. “Okay, okay.” She said before turning around and scooting off. Derpy just rolled her eyes. She looked at me, “Come on, let’s get you back to your bed.” She nudged me, honestly not needing to do anything. I would’ve gone along anyways.
As Derpy lifted, with a good night as well as a warning to stay put, I rested on my back in order to see the ceiling better. Rar? That dosen’t seem like a whole name.
Something told me that I would find out soon. Maybe it was the wind as it tickled my ear.
