Nothing else in the world
Applejacks whole world came to a hault. The family, her work, everything came to a grinding halt once they came. She was working in the fields. Plowing the earth and laying down seed. The hot sun beat down on her muscular shoulders. It had been a bad winter and she had to work extra hard to produce this year's crop. But nothing else in the world mattered once they showed up.
They where making their way down the old dirt road to the house, the colts in uniform. Applejack saw them from the field and ran to greet them.
" Hello officers howdy fine day. What brings you'all down here?" She had a smile on her face but worry boiled in her stomach. The town police never wore their uniform unless on duty. Which was almost never seeing as how Ponyville had a almost none existing crime rate. Something was definitely wrong.
" Miss Applejack if you would please come inside to talk. We have some unfortunate news that you need to know." Their faces where grim.
AJ's face went pale. She wondered what horrible news they had in store for her. " All right. Lemme run on head and and grab everyone. She shot off forwards the house dreading what was to come.
She burst through the front door and made her way to the kitchen where Granny Smith was. " Oh AJ I was just about to call you in for dinner. What are you in early for?
" Granny the police are here and they need to talk to us. Do you know where Big Macintosh is?
Right then the two colts walked in accompanied with Big Mac who escorted them in. " Mac you must have saw these fine gentalcolts and came with them." Granny said.
" Ehyep."
The officer spoke up. " I'm afraid I have some bad new. At the school playground there was an foalnapping." The Apple family all lost the blood in there faces.
" No." Applejack shook her head. She knew what they where going to say next. But it couldn't happen. Not to them. It couldn't, no please don't say it.
The cop took off is hat. " It would seem that whoever did it foalnapped Applebloom."
Granny fell to her knees unable to take what she was hearing. Big Macs face went dark. Applejack never saw him like this in her life. " WHAT!" He yelled at the poor cop.
" We are doing everything we can but we're sorry. These kind of things are hard to stop, and perpetrators are hard to catch. We have the whole force on it. Other than that there is not much we can do. We will inform you on any leads we come up with." With that he and his partner left.
The sound of Grannys sobs went unbroken for a good ten minutes. Big Mac stood by the table shell shock. He didn't know what to do. He had been the family's protector ever since his parents past. Applejack new that this would make him feel like a failure, even if there was nothing he could have done.
She on the other hand new that the police probably wouldn't catch who ever took Apple Bloom. She knew that after a certain amount of time the odds of the foalnapper getting away would become extremely high. Applejack could let her sister disappeared. She had to protect her family. The police had to much rectal and protocol. They would take to long. It was time to take matters into her own hoofs.
" Granny, Mac." They both looked at her with pained expressions. " I'ma find that son of a bitch I promise." Her face was a cold emotionless mask. They looked at her and cringed. It was almost unnatural. But she could get show her emotions. They would cloud her judgement. She would have to do this with a cold and logical mind, lest she never find her sister.
She turn her back to her brother and granny and made her way to her room. She looked around and locked on to what she was looking for. A long and elegant katana hung from above her bed. She climbed a top her bed, reached up and grabbed it.
She sat on her bed holding her sword in her hooves. She swore an oath a long time ago to never take another ponies life again. But this mother fucker crossed the line. He messed with her family, now he was going to die. Aj drew her sword, the blade was engraved with calligraphy for the word honesty. Her old master had always held her to a code of honor. He always told her that her word has her life. That to break it was to become dishonored. She swore an oath at his death bed. Never to kill again.
" I'm sorry Red Dawn. But my family needs me." She stood up and strapped her sword to her side. Outside the sun had fallen. Applejack opened her window and jumped out into the night.
Apple Bloom woke up with a start. The first thing she noticed was that everything was dark. That's weird, there is a blindfold over my eyes? Sweet celestia my head hurts. Where am I?
