Load Full StoryNext ChapterHello, I’m a 16 year old boy named Derick Smith and this is what happened to me (roughly) in the last 3 hours. Before you ask, yes, I am a brony. But that’s not important right now. This all started this morning at breakfast.
I looked at my cereal with disgust. It was lucky charms without the charms. (I had a tendency to pick out and eat the marshmallows). Just then my mom walked in and sat with me at the table.
“Are you going to eat your breakfast?” she asked.
“No,” I replied.
“You should eat something. You’re going to need your energy for your math test today.”
I froze, “What math test?” I said softly.
“The one that’s worth 55% of your mark,” she replied.
“55%?!?!?! I NEED TO STUDY!” I scream as I grab my textbook and start frantically flipping through the pages hoping to learn something.
“There’s no time. The bus leaves in 5 minutes.”
“5 MINUTES?!?!?! BUT THAT’S ALMOST A MILE AWAY! Can you drive me?” I ask with clear panic in my voice.
“Sorry Derick, but the car is getting fixed up. You’re just going to have to run for it.”
Before she finished what she was saying I was already out the door and running down the block. Suddenly I see the bus stop in the distance, but it was too late. The bus was already leaving. I pushed as hard as I could but I couldn’t ketch up. I stopped, knowing it was useless. Suddenly I began to feel very light headed. I thought it was just from the run, but then it got a lot worse to the point where I couldn’t even stand. Eventually I let unconsciousness take me, over leaving me on the sidewalk.
