Truth Or Dare
Truth or Dare
Load Full StorySweetie Belle took her bedazzled brush and brushed it through her hair. She smiled as it naturally flowed into a curl. No need for a curling iron, unlike Rarity, who turns nineteen in July. She was always busy with college though, and was constantly in the boutique with her shiny new laptop and her nose is constantly in fabric.
But today, Rarity was generous enough to clear out the boutique for Sweetie Belle's party. In there, was a couple of balloons tied to a table, where the presents would go. And on another table was a cake, that said, "Happy 11th Birthday Sweetie Belle".
Sweetie admired herself in the mirror of her dresser. She was wearing a beautiful green dress with white dots, and a silver necklace. Of course, just like her sister, Sweetie Belle could never be entirely satisfied with her looks.
"I need some sun." she told herself, "I'm way too pale. But I guess I'm fine for today."
She walked down the stairs in her bedazzled, silver sandals that Rarity custom made for her.
Just as she got down the stairs, the bell on the door rang as Applebloom and Scootaloo walked in.
Applebloom was dressed a little nice for the occasion, wearing a new t-shirt and some short jeans, unlike her usual overalls. She was wearing her new dark blue sneakers, and green, short, socks. Of course, the large pink bow on her head pulled back her pinkish-red hair, but left her bangs to almost cover her amber colored eyes. Sweetie Belle noticed how she was the tannest of the three, being on a farm and working all day. But Scootaloo's skin color was pretty close to her's.
Scootaloo wore what she usually wore; a pair of black capris, and a t-shirt. The t-shirt today was camo-colored, and looked a little big on her. She wore her regular grey sneakers, and had bright yellow short socks. Her pink mane was messy as usual.
"Wow Sweetie Belle, ya look great!" Applebloom said, not making eye contact with Sweetie Belle, but instead having Scootaloo help her get an enormous wrapped present onto the table. The wrapped present was in a box-shape, and there was white paper with rainbow-colored zebra stripes on it, and then a silver bow on top, but shining in the light, it let off rainbow colors.
The two girls finally let a sigh as it sat on the table, and then Applebloom turned to Sweetie Belle.
"Thanks, guys. I didn't think the present would be that big!" Sweetie exclaimed.
"Me and Applebloom made it," Scootaloo said, "You're gonna love it!"
"I'm sure I will!" Sweetie Belle replied.
The bell on the door rang again, as Twilight walked in. The girl had turned eighteen in February. She had dark skin, dark purple eyes, and on her eyelids was a pretty, light purple, eye shadow. She obviously had mascara on to, maybe some eyeliner. Twilight had a neat hairstyle, with perfectly aligned bangs. Her hair was about shoulder-length, and was tucked behind her ears. She wore shiny new ear silver earrings, and was wearing a white collar shirt with a light purple vest over it, and on the vest was a pink star with white behind it, and then five, tiny, white stars surrounding it. She had a matching necklace, but without the five tiny stars. She was wearing tight black pants, which hugged her ankles, and silver, shiny, flats. No socks.
"Happy birthday, Sweetie Belle!" she said, cheerily, "Where do I put the present?"
The bag of the present was pink and purple striped, matching Sweetie Belle's hair, and had pink tissue paper. A green colored card stuck out of the paper.
"Thanks, and on the table." Sweetie replied.
"Oh, okay, and you're welcome. Sorry I can't stay for long, I have lunch with President Celestia!" Twilight replied.
"Oh, that's okay, Twilight. Have fun!" Sweetie replied. Sweetie always admired Twilight's close bond with the president.
Twilight waved goodbye, and left. Just then, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie came walking in.
Applejack looked like she was about to speak, but Pinkie interrupted whatever she was going to say.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Pinkie exclaimed, and out of nowhere, her party cannon appeared.
She shot it directly at Sweetie Belle, and confetti was fired, along with some balloons, which floated up to the ceiling of the boutique.
Before Sweetie could speak, Pinkie ran up to her, and gave her a big, squeezing hug.
"Thanks Pinkie." Sweetie replied.
Today, Pinkie Pie was wearing a blue, poofy, skirt. Her top looked like the top of a strapless dress, and it was white with multi-colored polka dots. It was also very glittery. Her hair went all the way down to her hip, and was extremely curly and tangled. Sometimes you could spot a comb or two sticking out of her mess of hair. Who knew how many combs and brushes were stuck in there? Pinkie was wearing matching sneakers- white, multi-colored polka dots, and glittery. Like Sweetie Belle, Pinkie was pale, but still not as pale as Sweetie Belle, or Rarity. But Rarity was still tanner than Sweetie. Pinkie was also wearing makeup, some blush, mascara, and bright blue eyeshadow, which reminded Sweetie of Rarity. And with all of the makeup, Pinkie didn't look nearly as young as she really was. She really was turning seventeen in April.
Pinkie pulled a wrapped present out of her hair. The box was two shades of pink- hot pink, and dark pink, and striped. It had a red bow on top.
How? Sweetie Belle thought.
"Have a super duper awesome terrific epic amazing birthday party!" Pinkie Pie said, and happily hopped over to the table of presents and sat her's down.
Applejack smiled as she finally got a chance to speak. She had a gift in a bag, and the bag was decorated with a beautiful mountain scenery on a sunset. The tissue paper was an ocean blue.
"Happy birthday, Sugarcube. Ya'll look real nice today!"
"Thanks, Applejack." Sweetie said.
Applejack made her way over to the table, and set the present down.
Applejack looked better than any normal day. Maybe it's because she just turned eighteen a few weeks ago, or she just got more rest. Her tan skin matched Applebloom's, and she was wearing a plaid shirt, blue and white, with blue jeans. As always, she wore her hat, and her long, blonde hair, was pulled back into a loose ponytail with a red band. She had bangs swooped to the left side of her head. She also wore brown, shiny, cowgirl boots. Applejack didn't wear makeup, but Sweetie Belle knew she tried to look nice on dine-outs, usually she wore concealer and mascara, and on super rare occasions, eye shadow. Having her sister being a fashionista, she knew every detail of makeup by now, and although Applejack never talked about her wearing makeup on special occasions, she could tell she does, even if it's so little.
Rainbow Dash walked up. She was wearing a blue, unzipped, jacket. She was wearing a t-shirt that looked like it was in a stormy setting, and there was zaps of lightning in the sky. She wore black soccer shorts, and in the shorts was a loose pocket, where she could see a phone hanging out of it, which Rainbow got for her seventeenth birthday last June. She wore light blue sneakers with darker blue short socks, and her skin tone was in between Rarity's and Applejack's. Her rainbow hair was a mess, and her red, orange, and yellow bangs weren't combed out, so it was just a red, orange, and yellow blob that swooped on the right side of her forehead. The green, blue, and purple barely breezed past her shoulders, but it was uneven, and the end pieces of her mane looked like upside down triangles. Unlike Twilight, Rainbow let her hair go in front of her ears, so you couldn't see them. Like Applejack, she didn't wear any makeup, but she did wear it on special occasions, although she never bothered with mascara.
"Happy birthday kiddo." Rainbow Dash said, scruffing up Sweetie Belle's hair.
"Thanks, Rainbow." Sweetie Belle said, half annoyed. She'd have to brush her hair again.
Rainbow pulled out a tiny, wrapped present out of one of her loose pockets. It was wrapped in girly-camo wrapping paper, and had had a purple bow on top. Sweetie Belle assumed it was a movie of some sort. Rainbow put the present on the table and then Applejack said, "We'll be off now. Have fun!"
The door closed with a ring as the three teenage girls left.
Applebloom chuckled at Sweetie Belle's hair.
"Hey!" Sweetie Belle said, "It's not funny! Everypony else is going to arrive in like, ten minutes!"
"You better hurry then." Scootaloo said.
Sweetie Belle just ran up the stairs, as fast as she could in a dress and sandals.
"So 'Scoots, you gonna have a birthday party this year?" Applebloom asked.
Just then someone came bursting through the door.
Fluttershy. Her long, pink hair, was a tangled mess.
"Oh my! I had to run here! I hope I'm not late, am I?" she said concerned.
"No, just leave your gift on the table." Applebloom said.
"Oh, um, thanks." Fluttershy said, and put a wrapped gift on the table, which was a blue sky with birds flying on it. On the top, a green bow. It was a tiny gift, probably a book or something.
"Where's Sweetie Belle?" Fluttershy asked.
"She's upstairs." Scootaloo said.
Just then, Sweetie Belle came walking down the stairs.
"Oh, um, hi Sweetie Belle, happy birthday! I put my gift on the table. You look very nice!" Fluttershy complimented.
"Thank you, Fluttershy." Sweetie Belle replied.
Fluttershy. The palest person in Humanville. Even more pale than Sweetie Belle. She was very skinny, and nearly white. She was also pretty tall. Then it was Rarity, then Applejack, then Twilight, then Rainbow, then Pinkie. Fluttershy had no bangs, but instead, long, lucious pink hair, that went all the way down to her knees. Sweetie had no idea how she kept it all clean. Fluttershy was wearing a tiny yellow dress, with pink butterflies on it. She was also wearing green sneakers. Sweetie Belle always thought yellow looked good on Fluttershy. Fluttershy was wearing some mascara, concealer, and blush, too. Her fingernails were also a soft, light shade, of pink.
"Your welcome, well, I should be off now. Bye." Fluttershy squeaked, and left the boutique, her long, pink mane, flowing in the wind.
Then Sweetie Belle heard a click, And then another. And then a bunch of clicks. She turned around to find Rarity, walking down the stairs, in silver, fancy, high heels. She washed, dryed, curled, and applied hairspray to her dark purple hair. She was wearing her ordinary blue eyeshadow, but of course, it was a special occasion- she had to go overboard. She wore a thick mascara, and eyeliner, concealer, blush, and a bunch of those face-tone evener things. She wore shiny, silver hoop earings, and fake nails, which were a shade of light blue, and they matched her eyeshadow. She wore a sparkly, white dress, with a diamond design on the bottom left corner. Her hair shined and sparkled in the light.
I don't get why Rarity has to put on so much makeup on, Sweetie Belle thought, I think she looks beautiful naturally.
"Happy birthday my Sweetie Belle!" Rarity cooed, and put her own present on the table. The bag was white and glittery, and had pink tissue paper.
Just then, the bell rang, and Pip walked in. His hair was neatly combed out for the occasion, but he wore his usual clothes, a t-shirt and jeans, and this t-shirt was white with a football design, and it said "00" on the front and back in red. He wore red running shoes, and his hair was short and scruffy, with two shades of brown. Light and dark. He was almost as pale as Sweetie Belle too.
"'Ey, Sweetie!" he said, "Happy birthday!" He held a wrapped gift, which was just simply blue and red stripes.
"Thanks, Pip! Also, the gifts are on the table." Sweetie Belle replied.
Pip set his present down on the table.
After about a minute, another person came in. It was Twist. Her hair was alot like Pinkie's, but red and shorter. She was also pale, but not too pale. She wore purple, large glasses, and today she was wearing a blue shirt with pink flowers on it, and pink capris. She wore red sneakers, purple, long, socks. and was carrying a paper bag that was green with yellow flowers on it, and yellow tissue paper.
"Happy birfday, Sweefie Belle!" she said cheerily.
"Thanks, Twist, put the present on the table." Sweetie replied.
"You gof it!" Twist replied, and put the present on the table.
Just then, the door burst open, and Button jumped in, presenting his wrapped gift. The wrapping was Call of Duty themed, with a green bow on top. Button was acting like a light was shining on his gift.
"You're going to love my gift!" the excited boy said, and he ran over to the table and placed it there, the bangs on his forehead swooping back as he placed it on there.
Button was wearing a t-shirt that was white and had a Minecraft creeper on it, the words "Minecraft" below the creeper. He wore old jeans, and dark green sneakers with normal, white socks. He had a slight tan, tanner than Twist, not as tan as Scootaloo.
After about two minutes, Rumble arrived. The athletic boy was wearing his track sweatshirt that said "Rumble" on the back in white letters. The sweatshirt itself was a dark blue, and the front of the shirt said, "Humanville Track Team" on the front with a decorated winged shoe. He was also wearing loose sweats. He had black and white running shoes on. His grey-like hair was swooped back, and he also had Scootaloo's tan.
Rumble was holding a wrapped gift, it was grey and blue checkerboard, with a blue bow.
"Happy birthday, Sweetie." He said, as he put the gift on the table.
"Thanks, Rumble. I think everyone's here." Sweetie Belle turned to Rarity.
"Okay. Tell me when you want your cake, I'll light it up. I'd love to celebrate, but-" Rarity's phone went off from upstairs, "That...it's college, that's my alarm I have to work on my homework." she sighed, and began walking up the stairs.
Rarity stopped herself, "Will you guys be okay? Just tell me when you want the cake, and I'll light it and cut it for you."
"Oh, we'll be fine, Rarity! Don't worry!" Sweetie replied.
Rarity turned away from Sweetie Belle and her high heels began to click against the stairs, and then she went into her room and shut the door.
"Okay, everyone." Sweetie Belle said, "Who wants to play-"
Just then she was cut off by the entrance of someone.
Sweetie Belle turned her head and gasped.
No! Why are they here?! Sweetie Belle thought.
There, at the entrance, was Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.
Diamond Tiara was wearing her hair styled, as always. On top, was the shiny, diamond, tiara. She wore a purple dress, with sparkly rhinestones on it, and silver, sparkly, high heels. She wore a silver necklace, and a sparkly bracelet, with silver earrings. Silver Spoon matched, but her hair was braided, and her dress was grey instead of purple. The two were also pale, Diamond Tiara was barely tanner than Sweetie Belle, Silver Spoon was only slightly tanner than Diamond Tiara. The two were wearing concealer, heavy mascara, purple eye shadow, eyeliner, and face toner.
"Oh, happy birthday, Sweetie Belle." Diamond Tiara said boredly, "Silver Spoon and I were bored. So why not come here?"
Scootaloo grew angry, "Why are you two here?! You're not invited!"
"Oh calm down, Scootaloo. We're here just to party." Silver Spoon said.
"Yeah." Diamond Tiara replied, "To party."
Scootaloo didn't buy it. "No. Just leave, okay? Today's Sweetie Belle's birthday! Now just leave us alone!"
"We aren't being mean, though." Diamond Tiara said.
Sweetie Belle walked over to the two bullies.
"Listen, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. Sorry, but, you have to go." Sweetie Belle said assertively.
"Sweetie Belle, we just want to talk and have a good time." Diamond Tiara said, calmly.
"No, I'm not-"
"Trust us, Sweetie Belle." Silver Spoon replied.
"I-"
"Please?" Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon said together.
Sweetie Belle sighed, "Ugh...fine...if you start being mean, though, I'm kicking you out."
"I'll do more than just kicking..." Scootaloo mumbled to herself.
Everyone else seemed uncomfortable about the sudden appearance of the two girls.
"Everyone, gather in a circle." Diamond Tiara said.
Sweetie Belle made an annoyed face. This was her party, and now Diamond Tiara was taking over.
But everyone obeyed, and formed a circle.
"I have a game," Diamond Tiara began, "truth or dare."
"And, there's very important rule." Silver Spoon added.
"Yeah, you always have to tell the truth. And you have to do the dares, unless it's gonna hurt or kill someone." Diamond Tiara replied.
"Okay." Everyone replied, and Sweetie Belle shifted uncomfortably. She knew something was up. She just didn't know yet.
"I'll begin with Applebloom." Diamond Tiara said, "Applebloom, truth or dare?"
"Truth." Applebloom replied.
"Okay, Applebloom, is it true you're failing math?" Diamond asked.
"If ya call a C a fail, then yes." Applebloom replied.
"Your turn." Diamond Tiara said.
Applebloom looked at Silver Spoon, "Silver Spoon, truth or dare?"
"Dare." Silver Spoon said.
"I dare ya to unbraid your hair and then chew on it." Applebloom said.
Silver Spoon's jaw dropped, and everyone chuckled, but Diamond Tiara.
Silver Spoon was annoyed, but did the dare, and then tied it back into a braid.
"Button." Silver Spoon said, "Truth or dare?"
"Dare." Button said, challenging the bully to what ever evil antics she may have in her mind.
Silver Spoon gave an evil smile at Diamond Tiara, and Diamond Tiara gave one too. They giggled.
Button immediately regretted his decision. They had obviously planned something.
Silver Spoon walked up to the boy, and whispered something in his ear.
Button's face glowed a bright red, and he exclaimed, "No!"
"You have to." Silver replied.
Everyone else gave a confused stare.
"I'm not gonna!" Button said.
"You have to." Silver Spoon replied.
"I-"
"Do it." Silver growled, quietly, but deeply.
"I said no." Button said.
"I got this, Silver." Diamond replied.
Diamond approached the nervous boy, and whispered into his ear,
"If you don't, I'll tell Sweetie Belle you like her."
Button's eyes widened.
"How'd you know I did?!" He exclaimed.
"Magic." Diamond smirked, and her and Silver Spoon walked back to their spots.
Button quickly approached Sweetie Belle before she could even think about what was going to happen next. He grabbed the back of her head and pulled her in for a kiss.
Sweetie Belle's face burned a hot red and her eyes opened wide.
She was trying to figure out what was happening.
Everybody else had their jaws dropped, eyes wide open in disbelief. Except for Diamond and Silver, who were giggling and high-fiving.
Then suddenly, the quick clicks of Rarity came running down the stairs.
"Must...get...to...car..." she muttered, then stopped herself.
She saw the kids in a circle, but she couldn't believe what was happening at the sight in front of her.
Sweetie Belle. Kissed. By a boy.
Button pulled away, and then turned, angry, at the two bullies.
"There! Are you- ow!"
Rarity's big black purse slapped him right across the cheek.
Then Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon's jaws dropped in shock.
Button turned around to see a very bemused Rarity staring down at him, purse swaying after the hit.
His eyes widened and he hid behind Rumble, and squeezed his eyes shut.
"Someone please explain this!" Rarity demanded.
"Theymademedoit!" Button exclaimed, not opening his eyes, still shaking in fear of feeling the wrath of the big black purse again.
"Who?" Rarity asked.
"DiamondTiaraandSilverSpoon!" Button replied as quickly as before.
Rarity turned around to the two bullies.
The two exchanged concerned glances, and then looked at Rarity, who was not amused at their acts.
"Run." Diamond Tiara whispered to Silver Spoon.
Silver didn't need to be told twice. The two girls launched themselves from off the floor and ran out the door.
An awkward silence filled the room.
"Well...uh, I have to get something out of my car..." Rarity said, shifting uncomfortably. The click of her high heels went across the hard wooden floor and then the bell rang as she opened the door and left to get something out of her car.
No one spoke.
"Hey Button, come here." Sweetie Belle said, finally breaking the silence.
Button slowly and hesitantly made his way over to Sweetie Belle.
He was greeted with a slap across the face.
"Ow." he mumbled.
Everyone else chuckled a little bit.
"Now let's pretend that didn't happen and Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon never came." Sweetie Belle said.
"I'm fine with that." Button said.
"Now, who wants to play hide and seek in the dark in the basement?" Sweetie Belle asked, giving an evil smile.
"There's a basement?" Rumble asked.
"Yep." Sweetie Belle replied, "Rarity never likes going down there."
Scootaloo gave a confused look at Sweetie Belle. Usually, she was a scaredy cat. She's usually not like this.
"Not it!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed.
"Not it!" Rumble exclaimed right after.
A few more "Not its" came until Pip was the last one.
"Pip!" Twist giggled.
Sweetie Belle lead her group and opened the basement door. It eerily creaked open.
She instantly regretted her decision, seeing the spiderwebs and old wooden stairs. She saw the light switch, and turned it on. The basement was lighted for about a second, but then the light faded away. Sweetie Belle tried to flicker on the light again but it was obvious the bulb was dead. She could only see about five steps before everything faded into darkness. She looked at the people behind her,
"So, um, who wants to go first?"
