The Remains of Friendship

One by one, the Mane 6 hated Twilight. Applejack was the ring leader of all this, spreading rumors and lies. So much for Element of Honesty. Princess Twilight, was alone.

"Spike, find The Book Of Dreams", Twilight said, looking through her new library in her Castle.

"Found it!" Spike smiled, tossing it to Twilight.

Twilight flipped through the pages and found the page where she had tagged and had been waiting to use this spell for a while.

She began:

"For one's own hope,

as one brain's a dope,

Thow to fight fire with fire,

LET ME RAISE TO A HIGHER POWER!"

Twilight's magic lifted her up in a glowing ball of magic. Spike dropped his sandwiches that he had just made. "Twilight!"

The Princess's eyes glowed white, then faded into a scarlet red. Her mane began fading it's colors.

"Twilight!" Spike threw a book at her. The magic ball stopped glowing, and Twilight became her normal self. She fell on the floor, and groaned.

"That's supposed to happen, Spike", Twilight snapped.

"I don't want you to become even close to that", Spike said. "It's scary."

"Sorry Spike", Twilight apologized. "But, you know how upset I am."

"If they can't accept that your busy sometimes, then their not your friends", Spike said, patting her back.

"Don't you get it Spike?" Twilight flew in the Throne Room and circled the six thrones."There is six of us. I cannot be the Princess of Friendship when my friends hate me!"

"I'm your friend", Spike smiled. "I know you better than them. You can always be my friend, like old times."

Twilight stared at Spike. "I'm still your friend Spike."

They both hugged.

"I'm gonna go take a walk."

Spike left the Castle, and Twilight just sat on her Throne. Then, a knock came. Derpy walked through the doors.

"Your highness!" Derpy yelled, running over and bowing. "Do you have any special muffins for thow Derpy, your subject?"

Twilight chuckled. "Here's a coupon", she said, handing Derpy a 50% off coupon to Sugar Cube Corner.

"Thank you so much, Princess!" Derpy smiled. She ran out.

At least some-pony likes me.

BOOM!

Twilight ran out of the Castle. Changelings began swarming the land. And with them, was Queen Chrysalis.

"PRINCESS TWILIGHT!" She yelled.

Twilight flew up, to be meeted with the Queen. She grinned.

"It has been a while, hasn't it?" her echoing voice made it sound scarier than it was. "Your a Princess now, I see. How about a team up? Me, you, Discord, Sombra, and Tirek?"

"I wouldn't ever-" Twilight began.

"Princess Celestia and Princess Luna have agreed already. Princess Cadence is thinking."

"Teaming up for what?" Twilight barked.

"Power over the whole world. Peace, no more wars. What will it be?"

Chrysalis showed two pictures. One, had a caption "Yes" with a picture of Ponyville. The one with "No", had fire.

"Yes", Twilight said.

"Great", Chrysalis said. "CHANGELINGS, MANEHATTAN!"

The changelings and the Queen left faster than Rainbow Dash. Twilight landed softly onto the ground.

Applejack and Fluttershy sat in the front of the Castle. "What's up with the fast invasion, Princess?" Flutters said quietly.

"There has been a deal, and I accepted", Twilight said, head up.

"Ah sure, tell y'all friends what's up", Applejack said, with an eyebrow up.

"Friends don't leave each other", Twilight said, flying over them into the doors. She greeted the two guards who kept the door secure of visitors (except Derpy), and began studying in the library.

'Elements of Insanity' stood out to Twilight's eye. She brought over the book with her magic and began reading.

Summons all powers...

Creates new villains...

Only in the depths of Ponyville...

Twilight grabbed a lantern and exited the cave. It was time to find those Elements of Insanity. Fast.

Various ponies stopped Twilight from continuing. Finally, she saw her destination, the cave with the emerald gem. It's sides were marked with ancient writing. With her lantern, she walked in slowly. On the walls were paintings of ponies. The light of the lantern made them light up all over the walls and even the roof. Suddenly, they just stopped. Twilight stopped too, and she began thinking.

Wait, how did Chrysalis get in Equestria!? Was it that... spell!? Oh Celestia what did I do! Now all the villains were in Equestria maybe planning to take over!

But she knew she had to focus on this one thing. This spell.

"From one's ancient discovers,

lays a mystical wonder,

From one's magical wishes fufilled,

lasts hope and trust within"

Her lanterns light began glowing like a spiraling ball. It reached the roof of the cave, and began creating pictures with it's light. Twilight stares up in awe. She saw what the ball was making. Her, and her friends. But, they hated Twilight! Maybe they still loved her, somehow. Twilight picked up her lantern, and began walking toward her home once again.

Somewhere in the deep caverns of Canterlot, but four unlikely allies. Sombra, Discord, Chrysalis, and Tirek.

"What do we do with the Princess?" The Queen asked.

"We shall lock her in a cavern of crystals!" Sombra grinned.

"Do you ever think, Sombra? She's the Element of Magic, so she can escape. She did escape Chrysalis's trap, which was right in here", Discord contradicted.

"Fine, we'll just take her power", Tirek said.

"Then it is official, we shall capture her and take her power", Sombra said.

"She still has her friends, they'll worry", Chrysalis hissed.

"We'll need a creature who is good at disguising", Discord smiled, and they all turned to Chrysalis.

"Oooh, I would love too, but you pests have to capture the real Twilight", Chrysalis agreed.

She then warped into Princess Twilight, and showed off.

"We all know what to do?" Sombra said.

And the four villains talked for the rest of the evening, in the shadows of the caverns.
