" I've always wanted a little sister of my own.", Pinkie was talking to gummy as usual," but my parents always said no, something about my mom's eggs being soaked, something like that.", it was 5 til 9:00, the twins were sleeping upstairs and Mr. And Mrs. Cake were on vacation and had asked pinkie to babysit pound and carrot. " I've never really thought of poundcake, and carrot cake as younger siblings.", Pinkie was a bit lonely, it was too late to go see her friends, so she decided to take a walk instead.
As pinkie trotted down the path she thought about the twins, had she shut the door? Would they be cold? She thought about forgetting about her little late night walk. But when she was lost in thought she was interrupted. It sounded like a small toddler crying, it was coming from a small bag lying on the left side of the path. She quickly trotted over.
What she found in the bag was unimaginable, lying in that bag was a baby Pegasus, she was female, her mane was a bright yellow, her coat was a very light yellow, her eyes were a beautiful shade of purple. Pinkie picked up the baby and quickly ran to the backery. The poor thing was starving, her mane was a mess and she needed a bath. After cleaning the little Pegasus up, pinkie sat down and thought.
" Now what would small hungry Pegasus eat? Oh I know!" Pinkie bounced into the kitchen, a few minutes later she returned and placed a warm bottle of milk down on the table. " Here's your food baby!", the baby looked at bottle and knocked it over, she managed to speak a small word, "nogh", " no? How old are you?", the small pegasi started to cry, " what do you want to eat then?". After that exact moment a tired looking twilight walked in.
" Pinkie why are you up this late, and why are you shouting? I can hear you, everypony can!" Twilight sounded a bit annoyed, it was way passed the time she usually falls asleep. She was still pretty angry from when pinkie and rainbowdash made a club house out of her books. " Sorry twilight! I found this baby down the path, I.don't know how to feed it! help me!"
Twilight raised an eyebrow, " Pinkie I highly doubt tha-", twilight turned her head, she could not believe her eyes, sitting on the table was a baby Pegasus. " Pinkie! Were did you find this baby?", twilight examined the small Pegasus, " I found her in a paper bag down the road.", Pinkie yanked on twilight's wing, " Why are you looking at her wings twilight? You have wings of your own!", Twilight levitated pinkie by her arm, " pinkie be serious, how long was the baby there?", She picked up the infant and looked at her stomach, she was unnaturally Skinny, " I don't know, just found her here tonight.", the baby Pegasus looked about 2 years old.
A few hours of questions later pinkie and twilight started to argue, " I never had a little sister in my life twilight! I want to take care of her!", Pinkie stomped her hooves down, " I have the books, and smarts. Plus, I've never had a younger sibling either, I just think it's better if I take care of her!", the baby started to cry she was very hungry and the two have been arguing all night. " Cohkiah!" The small infant started to whine. " Did she just say 'cookie'?", twilight looked down at the baby, " of course! She wants a cookie!", Pinkie ran into the kitchen and returned with a cookie, " she is not going to eat that she's just a baby.", Twilight said in confidence. Pinkie placed the cookie in the baby's hooves, to twilights surprise the baby started to eat.
" Wow, she's eating it, wait! Didn't you try milk?", twilight looked at pinkie, " I did, but she smacked it to the ground!", Pinkie motioned to the puddle of milk and the broken bottle. " I'll go to my library and look for some information.", Twilight trotted out of the door, pinkie was left alone with the baby. " I can't just call you 'baby!'.", Pinkie looked down at the baby, " Well it was a surprise, when I found you. Wait! I'll call you Surprise!", the baby had a widened smile on her face, but then she yawned. " well, it looks like we're both tired".
Pinkie took surprise in her arms and walked up stairs. " Now what am I going to do with you?", pinkie looked at surprise. " Oh well, you can sleep in the bed with me! It's big enough for two.", Pinkie opened her bedroom door and shut it behind her. " Well Sleepy weepy it's bed time."
As the sunlight hit pinkies face she realised surprise wasn't there. " Surprise? Surprise!". Pinkie dashed out the door and down the stairs. " Surprise! Were are you!", Pinkie started to panick, " it's ok darling, she's in here with us.", rarity walked out of the kitchen, " twilight asked us to come and help you, you weren't awake. So, we took the twins and this little baby down stairs for breakfast.", rarity motioned for pinkie to come into the kitchen.
