All Types of Rain
A story of fields, forests, foxholes, friendships, and firearms. --- Hardly in their plans, fate takes Twilight Sparkle and her friends into the fight on the ground in the country of Annamitia. It's high time for them to make the best of it.

The war's everywhere. For those out in that storm, they're soaked in it. The wet work. Dirty work. And those at home? Well, they're just away from the rain, inside the safety of their homes. But that doesn't mean they don't hear the rain. The war's everywhere. The war's in the paper on the front porch or on the orders posted outside the tent.
For the Princesses, the war's right in their faces. Celestia deals with keeping Equestria running. Luna gladly took up all of the foreign affairs after Celestia dropped it when war broke out. Way things went, it rained on Celestia's parade for peace, and she didn't think it was worth continuing the fight against the weather for the ideal sunny day. So Luna's pretty deep in it. Willingly wades in the flood. She runs the show like a sailing captain in a race. And Twilight Sparkle is stuck in the middle of it.
…Until fate mixed with friendship takes her and the others from their thrones to the boonies. No more different from the average pony. Just like the old days, down-to-earth and personal with new faces. The war's a storm raging outside of their home Equestria, outside in the world, and they just stepped out into it. Into some faraway land called Annamitia.
