Rainbows, Cider and a Scooter

Previous Chapter

Rainbow Dash was not a patient pony. She did not simply sit still and observe a pony, as she had been for the past few days now. No, Rainbow was an adventurous pegasus, and she saw this strange behavior of Scootaloo's to be a great mystery, just waiting to be discovered.

Each day she watched from a cloud above the school. She began noticing patterns in the filly's behavior. Scoot would be one of the last ponies to arrive to class, walking slowly and clumsily as if lacking sleep. In the afternoon, it was vice versa. She was the first foal out the doors, hopping on her scooter and zooming off, giving her friends only a brief wave of a hoof for a farewell. She traveled to far into town for Rainbow to bother to follow her.

Today, Rainbow Dash was going to follow Scootaloo. She was going to grab the irritating thorn in her side, yank it out and chuck it into a river.

The loud ringing of the final school bell broke the pegasi's train of thoughts. She stared as the orange filly repeated her usual routine. As Scootaloo fastened her blue helmet onto her head, Rainbow shot through the sky to Sugarcube Corner, Ponyville's main bakery.
