Chapters Somewhere in a dank,dark,cob-webby storage room in Canterlot Castle.To being sat hunched over an ancient and dusty tome,staring intently at the contents.
"You are sure this spell will work? Absolutely positive? I don't think I could bear it if something happened" asked one uncertainly.She was,after all,skeptical at best,especially considering just who she was working with.
''Absoposilutely,oh purpley one. Without a doubt this can't possibly fail. After all,since when do I ever fail?" the other horned and antlered one boasted pridefully.
With a loud snort,his companion simply replied,"Whatever you say,Rocky ..."
With a smirk and a flourish of his claws,he exclaimed loudly,"Oh so that's how it's gonna be,hmm Niel ? Then I'll just prove it! 3! 2! 1! BLASTOFF!"
POP!!
"Alright what was that!?I know you two had something to do with it,that chaos magic came from in here!" At the loud burst of magic,a pearly white Alicorn mare with a mane like the Aurora Borealis had burst into the room.
"I am afraid I have absolutely no idea what you speak of,dear sister," claimed an indigo Alicorn who was doing her best to look inconspicuous. Unfortunatley,when sitting hunched over a forbidden book in a dusty storeroom next to a certain amber eyed draconiquus,such a feat is nigh impossible.Speaking of said Chaos spirit...
"Nopenopenope,no idea what you're talking about,none at all." Disord bellowed loudly. With a suspicious glance between the two conspiritors,the elder of the two Alicorns slowly backed out of the room.
"That was certainly close... And I picked up your referance back there boulder-breath!" exclaimed a slightly miffed off Luna.
" Well I would have been offended if you hadn't,'' sniffed the draconic figure.Scratching his chin confusedly,he added,"Though there is one thing that confuses me..."
"AND WHAT WOULD THAT BE,HM!?! The small matter that you apparently misplaced what you inter-dimensionally teleported here!?" yelled the Princess of the Night.
Smiling,Discord said,"Yes. Exactly. Thought it should at least be in Equestri-oh I see now.It went where all strange things go."
With a small sigh,Luna nodded and conceded,"Hm,I suppose its fitting.. Still,are you sure what we did was right?"
"Please, LuLu. We saved a life that had only just begun. What is more nobley than that I ask you?"
Somewhere else,a little before a certain magical occurance...
Pain.Thats all he could remember. Had it always been that way? This never-ending headache? Surely not...no,that was right. He'd been someone once. Had a family.(and not a headache...) Then something changed. One day,there was a monster. At least,thats what the doctors called it. And it was in his head. It got worse,and there wasn't anything the doctors could do,it was in too deep.
There were a few things he could remember. Like stars. Sometimes he could see them,but he wasn't sure if that was just because something was wrong with his eyes. And there were other things,like certain colors. Blue and white and black.
Wait. Something was wrong. He was being pulled on."OW!"
For the first time in a while,he'd said something. His parents and sisters sat up all around the spartan little hospital room and looked at him,not that he could see it. Then there was a flash of light and a loud pop,and he was gone. Gone to some other where,and some other when...

This was an idea I had after a really weird dream..And quite frankly i find the idea of Luna and Discord pal'in around to be hilarious.And of course,I'm sure you all caught the referances earlier?Rocky and boulder-breath having to do with Discord's stint as a statue and Niel being Discord breaking the fourth-wall and referancing Neil Armstrong,one of the first two men on the moon.
It had started out as a regular,normal day. At least,as normal as anything could ever actually be in Ponyville. After the whole Tirek ordeal it had been pretty quiet. So of course such peace could just not be allowed,now could it. Applejack was headed out to one of the farther fields to buck a few of the older trees,when she saw a bright white flash in the direction she was heading. So of course,she picked up the pace.
In the middle of the aforementioned field was a small,smoking,crater. 'What in the world?... ', Applejack wondered.Her question was shortly answered when a weak "Ow...", came out of the hole. An ow that sounded suspiciously like it was voiced by a foal. Carefully she scaled down to where a small cotton-candy blue foal was laying in the center. It popped open two bright blue eyes and tried to speak,only to find it's mouth was too dry to do so. Meanwhile,Applejack just stared. You see,the little foal seemed to bear a strong resemblence to Twilight and the other 3 princesses. Why,you ask? Simple really. He had two fluffy wings and a stub of a horn slightly longer than Sweetie Belle's.
Gently the orange mare slung him over her back,(at least,she thought it was a him...),and carried him backed to the farm-house. As soon as she got there,Granny Smith made the young colt at home while Applebloom bombarded him with questions that all culminated in,''So ya wanna join the CMC?!Huh,huh,do ya do ya?"
Smiling,Big Mac hauled the filly back and gave a look that seemed to say,'let him breath'. With a small frown,she said,"Oh alright then. Ooh,i know! I'll go tell Sweetie Bell and Scootaloo about him!"
Just as she was about to bolt,Applejack stepped in front of her and said,"Hold it,we might wanna think about that first. This isn't exactly normal. The little guy just popped into the field outta the blue,(pun not intended),! We might wanna go to Twilight about this first. I mean he is an Alicorn,and last time I checked,there weren't any Princes ,just Princesses . Now you just make him at home while I go visit her about this." And with that she was gone.
A little dissapointed that she couldn't immediately share the news about a potential CMC member,she turned to the Blue colt and said,"My name is Applebloom,what's your's? The big red stallion is my brother Big Mac,the green mare is my Granny Smith,and the orange mare that brought you here is my sister Applejack. Hey,you hungry? We got the best apples in Equestria,we don't mind to share one with ya!''
He tried to speak,but his throat was still a bit dry. Apparently Granny Smith had guessed as much and wheeled back in from the kitchen to give him a glass of water. Smiling his thanks,he quickly gulped it down,sighing in relief when he was done.
Immediately,Applebloom asked,"So can ya talk now? If ya can,then what's your name?" Concentrating,he scrunched up his muzzle and finally sighed,"I..can't remember.Every time I try,my head hurts." Apparently,Applebloom said was unfazed."Ok!," she said, "Then we'll just come up with one!"
Both foals sat for a minute and tried to come up with an appropriate name for the new-comer.
"What about something with blue in it? I mean,you are blue an' all..."
"I guess that'll work.Still,its gotta be more then just a color.."
Slilently,Big Mac showed up in the small living room with a book clasped gentlybetween his teeth. As the two young ponies looked on curiously,the big red stallion nosed the book to a certain page.
"How 'bout that ?" he questioned.
"I don't get it.What's a blue moon?" Applebloom asked,glancing at her older brother. Nodding his head to the affirmative,the young colt said,"Yeah,what is a blue moon?Ain't the moon white?''
Resisting the urge to laugh,Big Mac replied,"Eeyup.The moon is white. Blue moon is just a sayin'. It means somethin' thats unusual,doesn't happen a lot. And since when have you ever seen something as strange as the moon bein' blue. So think it'll fit?"
Author's Note
When I started the story,I already knew i wanted Applejack to find the kid(colt?).Then I realised Applebloom would instantly see Blue as a potentential CMC member,and that just set the idea in stone.As for why he's an Alicorn,I knew Discord would really enjoy messing with ponies' heads by making him the first boy Alicorn.If anyone was wondering why I didn't write the Apple family's accent in is because apprently some people are offended by that.As form me,I just mentally read the dialog as I hear it in the show,so I don't care either way.(Then again,I actually speak that way in reality being from down south,so perhaps thats why I really don't give a flying buck...)
While Blue Moon and Applebloom were at the farm with Big Mac and Granny Smith,Applejack was headed to town. It still unnerved her a bit to see Twilight's new castle,wait,all of their new castle(after all everyone in their group of friends had their own throne in it after all...),rise up on the horizon instead of the old library. Then again,Twi had filled it with so many books it was fast becoming a library in it's own right. Knocking on the door with her hoof,Applejack waited as a series of thumps issued from within,until Spike opened the door with a mouthfull of gems. "Ymph,how cn I *ulp* help you-oh,hey Applejack!Watcha here for?"
Smiling at the drake's apparent lack of manners,she replied,"Actually,I gotta see Twilight about somethin'. Something real strange happened today,and I'm thinking that Twi might know what to do about it..."
"HEY TWILIGHT,AJ NEEDS HELP!!!"
*POP!*
In a violet flash of magical light,Twilight appeared. "What's the matter,Applejack?" the purple Alicorn asked,concerned.
"Well,ah,it might be easier to show you than to explain it in words..." the orange mare replied,somewhat nervously.
"Well,lets go then!" Twilight said,just as the two mares and drake began to glow with a violet light.
"WAIT NO TWILIGHT WE CAN-" Applejack began to exclaim,but they were already teleporting to the farm.Or,at least,close to the farm.More like slightly above it.As Applejack finished her exclamation,"-WALK!!",Twilight levitated the three of them gently to the ground.
"So i may have overshot it just a little..." the purple mare chuckled nervously. In return she recieved a glare and a cocked eyebrow.With a sigh,Applejack said,"Well,if he hasn't run off somewhere with Applebloom yet,I can show you what I mean."
Wait a minute..Spike asked,"You mean the strange thing that happened was a who and not a what ?" Reminicent of a certain red stallion,AJ replied,"Eeyup."
Applebloom ran out of the farm-house at full trot,Blue Moon close behind. "Hey sis,your back!And you brought Spike and Twilight too!Guess what I-uh,I mean big sis found!Him!Well,sis may have found him,but I named him-"
Appleblume was interupted when Bluemoon interjected,"Helped ,helped find a name! You came up with the first part,but Big Mac figured out the rest!"
Meanwhile,Spike and Twilight were looking on in wonder. "Hey Twi?' asked Spike.
"Uh-huh?"
"Aren't you and cadence and the Princesses the only Alicorns?"
"Last time I checked?Yes,yes we are-er-were ..."
Meanwhile,Blue Moon had a puzzled expression on his face. Suddenly the young colt exclaimed,"Hey!I'm not corn!I'm not even yellow,I'm blue!"
Spike simply face-palmed,while Twilight sighed heavily and said to the foal,"No,not corn ,an Alicorn.They have the body and connection to nature of an Earth Pony,the wings and cloud magic of a Pegasus,and the horn and magic of a Unicorn."
"Um,what are them things you were talking about?" asked Blue moon.Applejack,Applebloom,Spike,and Twilight all turned to face the young colt. Tentatively,Applebloom asked,"You-you mean you don't know ?"
Puzzled,Applejack tapped her chin with her hoof,and stated,"Huh,maybe you hit your head a bit hard when you landed out in the field.."
Twilight's eyes nearly bugged out of her head."What do you mean,'landed out in the field '? You couldn't have mentioned that any sooner ?!"
Shifting from hoof to hoof,AJ replied,"Well,I was gonna,but I didn't really get a chance what with teleportin' and your explaination and what not..but I suppose a check-up couldn't hurt. Besides,Applebloom is due for hers soon anyways."
