//-------------------------------------------------------// Rhythm The Music Pony's Adventure -by Rhythm The Music Mare- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Ariving in Appleloosa (WIP, Day 1-3) //-------------------------------------------------------// Story Information and Characters (WIP) [Completed] Main Info All of the story information and character database of any character is found here, this shall explain everything about the story and give some background information about the characters who are involved within the story. Please note this is a Work In Progress or a WIP for short and may be edited or changed in some form in the future. Each character is highlighted in its own colour meaning any talking or interactions will result in this colour being used for this individual character. This will help you understand who is talking and who is doing what in long paragraphs. Story info Setting and Appleloosa Information The setting for this story is Appleloosa, the setting will not change however other ponies from other places may mention their hometown or other inhabited places in Equestria. If any character does mention another setting or gives a past experience in another setting beside Appleloosa then I shall show clearly they are in a memory or past experience. Appleloosa is a town which was built in less than a year and is located in a desert setting, it is a western style town with horse-drawn carriages, wild west dances a saloon and a local sheriff or 'mayor' in Rhythms view which is why she refers to the sheriff as 'mayor'. The main production of Appleloosa is apples among other crops, other animals which live nearby are a tribe of buffalo which sometimes eat the apples from the apple orchards causing tension among the tribe and townsfolk. Appleloosa uses the same currency as the rest of Equestria which is the bit or commonly known as bits. Unlike other places the pricing of several goods is greatly reduced such as locally produced apples and other produce, however more uncommon items such as wood based materials along with metals are more expensive and must be either carted or railed from elsewhere leading to increased prices. Character Info Rhythm: Rhythm is a blue unicorn mare who has sandy yellow eyes, her mane is a darker shade of blue compared to her coat. Her cutie mark is a white spider web despite this Rhythm's profession is as a music artist and has released several tracks which she believes are masterpieces however general sales doesn't support this in the slightest. Rhythm normally wears blue dresses the same colour as her coat which are normally decorated with some kind of musical pattern. Rhythm has a bossy and commanding personality and this has led to several problems where she has stayed before, she doesn't like other ponies that take a dislike to her attitude or music talents and normally will say this to anyone who gives their opinion. Rhythm is currently staying at 32 Hoofington which is a small house that is attached to other houses in Hoofington lane which is half a mile away from the main village however to a pony this is no distance at all. [WIP] Thorax: Thorax: Laid back stallion who is also a unicorn. Thorax loves to have a good time but is rather shy around other mares. Thorax sometimes visits the golden apple cafe and enjoys a pint. Sandy Acre: Sandy Acre: Mayor of Appleloosa (elder sister of Goldenrod) Goldenrod: Goldenrod: Resident of 31 Hoofington (younger sister of Sandy Acre) Haystack: Haystack- Local Produce and Store owner who lives and works in Appleloosa. Rhythm got up and flicked her tail before stopping and looking around her, there were meadows full of lush grass, different types of crops on the nearby fields and several large barns where the hay will be stored when it is harvested, there was a sweet honey smell in the air along with a warm breeze, the hot summer rays was beating down onto the sandy trail making an apparition off the surface similar to one you will find in a desert or off a metal surface. After walking a good several miles Rhythm the music pony finally came to the town of Appleloosa, she saw several houses which looked rather important among the small shops lining the high streets, she considered these houses as the richer more older families who had inhabited this town over many generations. Rhythm blinked before rummaging in her saddlebag on her side, there was a small map of the town where she would find instructions to her new home. The blue unicorn quickly read the route and put the map away hating the thought that the townsfolk would consider her a tourist or some lost filly in a new setting. Rhythm lifted her nose and walked from the richer part of the town in the centre and back towards the outer side of the town, she continued north for around 100 hoof steps (or 75 meters to you or me). Rhythm blinked as she stared at a grey house nest to other grey houses This Will Not Do she thought as she glanced at the house and glanced back at her map, 32 Hoofington was the address and here she was, she read the house sign and snorted as she realised she was in the right house. She used her telekinesis power and lifted the key from her saddle bag and used it on the grey oak door which made a sharp *Click*sound, thus cleared all doubt at being in the wrong house. Rhythm walked into the small house, and looked around, on the downstairs was her kitchen, living room, dining room and a small messy garden out back, upstairs was not much better with a messy bedroom and a bathroom along with a guest room, to her dismay there was only some sort of shower instead of a lovely bathtub which she preferred anyway. On closer inspection of the bathroom there was a clannish sink and wash area, toilet as expected and some mould growing above the shower which had seen better days. Rhythm wondered to her bedroom and sighed, the bedroom was out of fashion and it definitely needed a makeover. Rhythm decided one thing at a time, threw her saddlebag down on the bed and left the bedroom walking down the stairs which were also made of oak similar to the floors of all the rooms of the house which were oak flooring. Downstairs the kitchen was well equipped and to Rhythms satisfaction, the dining room was slightly smaller than expected but will serve her purpose since she wouldn't have many guests around and the living room was standard with a bookshelf, two brown oak chairs, a sofa and a radio. The house design was of a modern layout, the ground floor had two doors a front and a back, the front door was a grey coloured hardened oak with a silver mailbox, while the outside had been painted grey to fit in with the other houses next to it, there were two windows looking outside the ground floor one of either side of the front door, around the back of the house there was another grey door which led to the small garden out back, the garden was around 10*4 meters squared resulting in a strange layout of small beds and an apple tree down the far end of the house. There was only one window next to the back door and this came from the dining room area, the kitchen was next to the front door while the living room was in the middle of the two, several doors allowed easy access into each room. Upstairs the bedroom was above the dining room, the bathroom was above the living room and the kitchen was a spare bedroom. Rhythm decided that the house would do, however she would go shopping so she could finish up the place, she also decided to paint the outside of the house the same colour of her coat, the roof would also be painted the same colour of her mane. Rhythm went back downstairs and flicked though several large books advertising local services, after finding the local decorator she wrote them a letter explaining what she would want to be done on her house. Rhythm then went back to her room and picked up her bag and put the letter inside before closing it, after levitating it back onto her shoulder she went downstairs and left the house making sure to double lock it as she left. Rhythm walked down the cobblestone path towards the centre of Appleloosa and made a mental map of where everything was located, there was a small coffee shop five minutes from her house, along with several local shops nearby. Rhythm glanced at a nearby shop realising it was selling locally grown crops, she decided to visit it taking care not to tread on any of the carrots or whatnot that was on the floor, apart from the strange earthy smell coming from inside it looked rather professional. Rhythm looked around before spotting several large orange carrots, she liked carrots which was one of her favourite types of food, not many things beats raw carrot in Rhythm's view well apart from her music of course but you couldn't eat that. Rhythm walked over to the bundle of carrots and forgetting where she was took a large bite of several of them however while she was happily nibbling on them there came several loud coughs behind her. Rhythm looked around with her mouthful of carrot and blinked at the other grey colour mare with blue eyes who looked slightly ticked off. "Erm I like carrots" she explained to the store owner. The store owner frowned "call me haystack, and what the buck? You going to pay for that or do you think walking into every shop and eating everything is ok?" she growled flicking her tail in annoyance. "that snack their going to set you back a good 20 bits, you got no cash on you that’s not my problem and if that’s the case enjoy talking to the mayor about it, maybe it teach you some sense" she added narrowing her eyes at Rhythm. Rhythm swallowed the rest of the carrots "can I pay you later? And I’m kind of new here so I don't know your customs?" she added starting to also become agitated. Sandy rolled her eyes "your custom?, so where your from its ok for a stranger to wonder into a shop or house and eat everything?, cut the crap and get the buck out before I really lose it" Sandy roared before grabbing Rhythms tail and dragging her out of the shop, "come back when you get bits, some manners and common sense" she added before closing the door to the blue unicorn. Note: make WIP scene bigger and recolor different char with key at the info section at the top. //-------------------------------------------------------// Story Information and Characters (WIP) //-------------------------------------------------------// Getting Settled (paused Day 4-10) Rhythm woke up on her new blue bed which had arrived the day before, she had currently been in Appleloosa for 4 days and had nearly finished her decorating of the inertia of the house. She had made all the walls a blue colour and had made the spare bedroom her music studio with several of her own records hanging on the wall, along with the rest of her furniture which had arrived on her second day, she had removed most of the original furniture preferring her own stuff. Much to her own annoyance she had been told of after starting to paint the outside of her house blue, she had just finished painting the door when a neighbour called Goldenrod a golden coloured mare with blue eyes had asked her "What In The Hay Are You Doing" When Rhythm had explained she was painting the house blue Goldenrod had left to fetch the mayor who was called Sandy Acre, another mare who had a similar colour scheme to Goldenrod, turned out they were sisters but Goldenrod was the youngest by several seasons. Rhythm had then been sternly told that she would not be able to change the outside colour of her house without permission and any future changes would have to be approved by the mayor and housing committee, if she did change anything further without a planning application then she would have to pay for the removal of any changes along with a hefty fine. Chapter On pause until I complete my character list and arrival chapter, will not edit for a few weeks
