Prologue: Rebirth and tough times.
7:32 pm - Gallifrey
"Jenny! We need to get out of here quickly! The Daleks could get through any minute!" A man yells over to me, the man was wearing a trench coat and a tie for some reason I did not know. His hair was a dark chestnut colour which was hard to see at night. In his left hand was his item of choice, a Sonic Screwdriver. He had once told me that it acts as a universal key to any door.
"I'm coming!" I yelled as I ran over to the man and we started to head away from the front lines, my injuries were not fatal but they weakened me significantly as we made away from the Daleks. On the way I tripped and fell onto my knees and badly injuring them, which I yelped out in pain. I could see our front line defences getting smaller as well in the distance.
"Jenny!!" The man yelled as he ran over to me to help me, but something in me held him back. "Jenny, come to me, please!" He yelled to me once more, his calm blue eyes were filled with worry and it looked as if he was going to cry. When he looked overto our defences he saw what I saw, the weak defence which was about to shatter. He looked at me and mouthed 'please'.
I looked up to him and managed to get onto my feet, although they were badly injured. I squeaked in pain slightly as I got up fully. I started off towards the man just as the Daleks got through the defences, and due to my speed, one shot me in the head. I screamed out in pain and collapsed to the ground, my life slipping away fast. The last thing I saw was the man fighting the Daleks in revenge, then everything went black.
3:42 pm - Canterlot, Equestria.
"AGH! How much longer until the foal comes out Doctor?!" The mare on the hospital bed half shouted to the stallion across the room, the mares mane and eyes were a deep red with her coat a pure white colour. She could feel the foal trying to get out, which hurt her more, making her screech in agony.
"Not much longer love, nurse Redheart is doing what she can." Doctor Whooves said to the mare in pain, pointing out the nurse was here. The Doctor had a chestnut mane and a light brown coat, his eyes are a light blue and his cutie mark is an hourglass. "Come on Meteorite, almost there." Doctor Whooves said.
"Just one more push Meteorite. Push when I say." Nurse Redheart told Meteorite as she prepared for the foal to be born. Nurse Redheart had a serious expression on her face as this was happening. "PUSH NOW!" Nurse Redheart yelled as Meteorite pushed with all her might.
In Meteorites ears can be heard a loud crying as the nurse gets up with the newly born foal in her mouth.
The foal struggled and cried loudly. She had a dark green coat and blond hair, and her cutie mark was already there s well, which had the appearance of Doctor Whooves cutie mark.
"What should we name her?" Meteorite asked him with a tired look.
"I have the perfect name for her." Doctor Whooves said, "let's name her Jenny."
6:20 am - Canterlot, Equestria. 20 years later.
"Jenny, you have grown up so much since your birthday twenty years ago." Meteorite said to me with her eyes glowing with pride for her daughters growth and intelligence. "I believe your father wanted to see you before you move to your new house dear." She said, shooing me off to go find my father.
I started off to my fathers room where he usually is at. "Dad? Are you in there?" I said. My voice was a sweet and pure voice only princesses had.
"C-c-come in Jenny." I heard his voice sputter out as he hit his head again.
I opened the door and entered. "Father..." I said, tears welling In my eyes as I sat next to him, trying to comfort him from whatever was wrong.
"Twenty thousand life's... All lost because of me...." I said weakly as he grabbed me in a hug and cried. "It was either them or the world." He sobbed through my soft green coat.
"Dad... I'm so sorry..." I said to him while hugging him back, showing affection to him to try to stop his crying. "Pleas stop crying... Your making me cry as well." I managed to say as I started crying as well.
After at least twenty minutes he let go of me and gave me something I thought he would never give any pony else. "Take it Jenny... Take my Somic Screwdriver with you. You will need it on what's to come." He said to me, trying to keep a positive outlook but on the inside he was still crying badly.
"Dad.... Thank you for this gift..... I love you." I say as I hug him once again, smiling brightly once more.
"You've grown up so much hon. Just think that you were only in school two years ago and look at you now. A smart, cute mare. Any pony would be lucky to have you." He said to me, making me blush. "Now go off and have a good time, and visit us along the way sweetie." Doctor Whooves said as he waved a goodbye.
I returned his wave and got my things together and headed out the door to my new home. I was hours off by walking as I lived in Canterlot so I boarded the train and headed towards Ponyville to start my new life there, and little did I know that Twilight Sparkle would leave for there the very next day.
Friendship Is Magic - Part 1
12:00 pm - Ponyville, Equestria.
Upon arriving to Ponyville yesterday, I was surprised to see the calmness of the town and how friendly everypony was to each other. What surprised me even more was the party thrown for me arriving there, I still was tired from that day as well. I walked towards Sweet Apple Acres for a visit when in the air I saw a gold carriage with two royal guards at the head of it. I just keep going on my way. When I got to the fence, Applejack popped up out of nowhere to greet me.
"Well howdy there Jenny! What can I do fer y'all?" She asked with a positive manner as well as greeting me with a bright smile. Applejacks mane was a light blond colour close to mine and her coat was an orange colour. Her eyes also showed a deep green colour and for her cutie mark there were three red apples.
"Just popping in for a visit. I liked the place and the open hospitality yesterday so I thought I drop by for lunch." I replied back, returning her smile when I saw many others there now, mingling around the farm, having a good time. "Hey AJ, What's up with all the other ponies? Guessing there relatives?" I asked her.
" ya got that right sugarcube, and they are here for the apple family reunion we hold annually here, there mighty exited to be helping with some of the catering with the Summer Sun Celebration tonight! And as for lunch, then your welcome to join us, ah just need to finish buckin these trees here." Applejack replied as she went on her way to clear some trees of apples.
I decided that I should get to know the other relatives and just as I was about to head over to one I heard a pony behind me saying a light 'hello'. I turned around to see a lavender unicorn with a dragon on her back holding a checklist. "Hello there! I believe I haven't seen you before, I'm guessing your new?" I said to the mare.
"Why yes I am new, my name is Twilight Sparkle and I understand that this establishment is in charge for the food of the Summer Sun Celebration?" She asked me.
"We sure sugar are!" Applejack replied as she popped up next to me now. "We were just about to have lunch actually, care to join us?" Applejack asked with a sort of exited tone of voice.
"Well as long as it doesn't take to long." Twilight replied nervously, triggering something in Applejack.
Applejack ran over to a bell and rang it, yelling, "SOUPS ON EVERYPONY!"
As soon as we heard that we were covered by a stampede of earth ponies and after it cleared up, me, Twilight and the baby dragon were under a gazebo.
"Now let me introduce y'all to the apple family. This here's Apple Fritter..." Applejack went on, introducing all her relatives until she stopped on an elderly green pony and said, "Annnnnnd, Granny Smith. Up an atem Granny Smith, we got guests." Applejack said to her as she woke up.
"Whaa?" She asked as she got up and started over mumbling something we couldn't make out.
"Well it seems the food is taken care of so I guess we will be on outer way." Twilight said sheepishly as she nudged away.
"Aren't you gonna stay for brunch?" A yellow filly, who must have been Applebloom, looked up at Twilight with puppy dog eyes.
"Sorry, we got a lot to do." Twilight said, earning a round of "awwwws" from the Apple family, leaving her feeling guilty inside, "Fine." Twilight gave in, earning cheers now from them.
7:34 pm - Golden Oaks Library, Ponyville.
"SURPRISE!!" Everypony but me yelled as the lights jumped on, revealing a shocked Twilight, who groaned in response. I started making way to her when Pinkie Pie leaped up in front of her.
"Surprise!" Pinkie said, "Were you surprised? Huh, Huh?" Pinkie asked twilight with an exited manner whilst bouncing up and down like her hooves were made with springs.
"Very." Twilight responded, "Library's are suppose to be quiet." Twilight tried to reason with Pinkie, to a complete failure.
"That's no fun! I mean what fun is a party that's quiet, duh, BORING, I also invited all your friends so now you have lots now!" Pinkie Pie cheered as she revealed four other mares I recognized as Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity.
Twilight poured herself a drink while Pinkie talking and after she stopped talking, steam came out of her ears.
"Uh, you all right sugarcube?" Applejack asks as she leaps into the air with her mane on fire, Twilight streaks upstairs hastily.
"Aww she's so happy she's crying!" Pinkie Explained.
The baby dragon who I found out was named Spike picked up the bottle Twilight poured herself to drink and read, "Hot sauce."
Pinkie pie hit Spikes arm, causing him to pour it all over a cupcake which she swiftly ate, earning grosses out looks from us and she said with her mouth full. "What? Itsh good."
I just shake my head and looked around the building.
12:00 am - Golden Oaks Library, Equestria.
I couldn't believe Pinkies party was still going on at such a late time, I was very amassed at the thought of it, but my thoughts were interrupted as I saw Spike go up the stairs Twi went up hours ago, so I followed him.
"She said everypony was crazy." Spike told me as he closed the door on the top of the stairs, he had a lamp shade on his head, which caused me to giggle.
"Do you mind if I try" I asked Spike where he just whole his head and beckoned to the door. I made my way up them and I heard twilight talking.
"On the thousandth year of the longest day, the stars would aid in her escape... I hope the princess was right about that." Twilight said as she heard a knock on her door. She used her magic to open it and I stepped in. "Oh, hello.... Um, sorry I never got your name." Twilight said sheepishly.
"My names Jenny." I said to her as i looked around. "Do you mind if I went with you to the Summer Sun Celebration as friends?" I asked Twilight, who sighed.
"Sure, let's go." She said as she came down to join me.
12:30 am - Town Hall, Ponyville.
"Fillies and gentle colts, it is my honour as mayor of Ponyville to announce the beginning of the longest day of the year!" The mayor said as everypony cheered. " in just a few moments, we will watch the magic of the sunrise. Now if I may introduce the wise, the smart, the one who brings us both sun and moon, Princess Celestia!" The mayor announced as Rarity opend the curtains above her.
Everypony gasped when she was not there.
"There must be an explanation." The mayor said.
"Ooh is she hiding?" I heard Pinkie say.
"She's gone!" Rarity yelped.
"Ooh she's good." Pinkie said.
A mist started forming on the balcony when a pony appeared on it, her appearance was scary as she was in light blue armour, her eyes were turquoise with dragon slits in them, and here mane was pure black. "Ah my beloved subjects. How wonderful it is to return to you." The mare said.
"What did you do with our princess!?" I heard rainbow yell as she started towards her, only to get stopped by Applejack.
"What, am I not royal enough for you? Does my crown no longer stand after a thousand years? Do you not know who I am or see the signs?" She asked.
"Ooh more guessing games, umm Queen meemie? Oh black Snootie, Black Snoo-" Pinkie was cut off by Applejack who shoved an apple in her mouth.
"I know who you are!" Twilight said beside me, "Your the mare in the moon, Nightmare Moon." She stated as everypony gasped.
"Ah somepony who remembers us, then you why were here as well?" Nightmare Moon asked.
"Your here to... To...." Twilight couldn't finish her sentence.
"Remember this day little ponies, for it will be your last. As of now, the night, shall last, FOREVER!" Nightmare Moon stated as she cackled evilly, her mane swirling like a tornado.
'Night, forever?' I questioned in my head ask prayed for a solution.
Friendship Is Magic - Part 2
12:56 am - Town Hall, Ponyville.
Nightmare Moons laughter filled the town hall as her indigo mane swirled in a vicious tornado formation.
"Seize her!" The mayor yelled, "Only she knows where the princess is!"
At least three royal guards, clad in the traditional golden armour flew up to capture Nightmare moon, though they had mistaken her for a normal enemy.
"Back you fools!!" Nightmare Moon yelled as she blasted the royal guards with shocks of lightning, before turning into a indigo mist and flew out the door.
Rainbow dash however had gotten free from Applejacks grip and yelled, "Oh no you don't!" But by the time she had gotten outside, Nightmare Moon was long gone. "Nighttime, forever?" She asked herself, actually slightly scared until she sees Twilight running off with Spike on her back, she also sees me following her. "What the.." She says as she gets the others.
1:01 am - Golden Oaks Library, Ponyville.
"We need to stop Nightmar....." Spike started as he fell asleep on Twilights back.
She went upstairs and ducked him in, "You need your rest Spike, you are a baby dragon after all." She stated as she came back downstairs to see me. "Quickly, we need to find the reference guide for the elements of harmony!" She hastily said until a cyan face was in front of her.
"And just what are the Elements of Harmony? How did you know about Nightmare Moon, Are you a SPY?" She repeatedly asked Twilight questions, moving forward and causing Twilight to move back into a wall.
"Simmer down there RD." Applejack said as she pulled her back, "She ain't no spy, but you sure do know what's goin on, don't you twah?" Applejack asked her, as well as throwing the question indirectly at me.
Both me and twilight sigh and Twilight starts, "You see, the pony you saw was the mare in the moon, Nightmare moon." Twilight stated as she stopped to take a breath.
I swiftly took over, "And the only way to defeat her is with the Elements of Harmony, but we don't know what they look like or where they are." I finished Twilights sentence, earning a proud look from her for me knowing about the legend as much as she does.
We all heard Pinkie Pies voice ring out, "The Elements of Harmony: A Reference Guide." Pinkie Read the title of the book.
"Where did you find that?!" Twilight asked as she bumped her away.
"It was under 'E'." She's said her sing song voice.
"Duh..." Twilight said as she started reading the book, "There are six elements, but only five are known, Honesty, Generosity, Kindness, Loyalty, and Laughter. The sixth is a complete mystery. The elements are hidden in the royal pony sisters castle which is in what's now known as..." Twilight stopped as she gasped slightly.
"The Everfree Forest..." We all said at once.
"Let's go!" Pinkie explained as she zipped off, leaving the rest to groan and follow her.
2:16 am - Everfree Forest, Equestria.
We all approached the entrance to the Forest as Twilight stopped us all.
"Weee! Let's go!" Pinkie started towards the entrance to be blocked by Twilight.
"Look, I appreciate the offers, but I really rather do this on my own." Twilight said to the rest of us.
"No way sugarcube, we're not about to let a friend of ours go in there alone, we're stickin to you like caramel on a candy apple." Applejack said as she lead the rest of us in exepct Twilight and Pinkie.
"Especially if there's candy apples in there!" Pinkie said, Twilight looking at her oddly, "What? Those things are good." She said as she went to catch up with us.
Twilight groaned and followed the rest of the group.
Once Twilight caught up and we had been walking for around ten minutes say, we reached a cliff when Twi started talking.
"So.. None of you have been in here before?" Twilight asked us, which we all spoke our heads.
"Of course not," Rarity stated, "This place is so unnatural."
"And you know why?" Rainbow asked with a creepy tone, scaring Rarity, Fluttershy and Pinkie.
"Rainbow." A applejack warned.
Rainbow crept up to them like a lion saying, "Cause everypony that came in here never came OUT!" She shouted the last word, causing the three to scream.
'Hm?' I said in my head as I saw something creep into the cliff, the next thing we knew the cliff gave away and we started falling down. Me, Pinkie and Rarity fell off the cliff to be caught and placed on the ground by Rainbow and Fluttershy, who prepared to catch Twi who,was hanging off the cliff.
"Applejack, Help!" She screamed to her friend who was hanging onto a root nearby.
"Amma comin!" She said as she slid down to Twi.
"What do I do!?" She half screamed at her.
Something in AJ felt odd and she said what was in her head, "Let go."
"Are you crazy!!?" Twilight yelled.
"Listen to meh, what I'm sayin is the honest truth, just let go and you'll be safe."AJ reassured Twilight.
Twilight looked at Applejack for a second before letting go and falling, she screamed and noticed she had been caught by Rainbow and Fluttershy, who lost grip slightly.
"Sorry girls, I'm not used to carrying anything heavier then a bunny." Fluttershy apologized as Twilight saw AJ hopping down.
Meen while, I saw a floating thorn go flying off and a few seconds later I heard a slight roar, though the others didn't hear it.
3:40 am - Everfree Forest, Equestria.
"And then we were like woosh! and we caught you midair!" Rainbow Dash boasted.
"I know, I was there." Twilight said dully.
We all froze in our tracks when we heard a roar to see a manticore leap out at us.
Rarity went up to it and punched it under its neck, yelling, "Take that you ruffian!"
The manticore returned an attack by roaring at her, ruining her mane.
Rarity streaks off, crying about her ruined mane.
Applejack, however, had snuck behind the manticore and now was on its back, acting as it was a bull ride, "Yeeee haw!" She whooped.
"Wait.." Fluttershy said softly.
The manticore finally sent her flying off its back.
Applejack went sailing past Rainbow Dash, saying, "All yours pardner."
Rainbow took action immediately by flying in circles around the manticore, making a tornado of rainbow.
The manticore lashed its tail out, sending rainbow back to the group.
Twilight, who had enough of this gathered the rest of them in a line and readyed for a charge, her nostrils flaring.
The others, minus Fluttershy and me were about to charge the manticore just as she appeared yelling "WAIIIIIT!!"
Fluttershy walked up to the manticore and nuzzled it saying, "Shh, it's ok.." The manticore showed her it's paw with that same floating thorn I saw earlier. Fluttershy went up to it and pulled it out, causing the manticore to roar.
"Fluttershy!" Both Twilight and me yelled.
We all were shocked to see the manticore licking Fluttershy happily as we snuck past, Fluttershy walked up to Twilights speed.
"How did you know about the thorn?" Twilight asked.
"I didn't, sometimes you just need to be shown a little kindness." Fluttershy awnsered as we went on.
I smiled at her awnser then out of the corner of my eye, I saw that smoke again race off ahead of us. 'Odd....' I wondered.
4:00 am - Everfree Forest, Equestria
We continued on until we reached a raging river.
"How are we suppost to cross this?" Twilight asked the rest of us until she heard a crying close by.
We all made way to the source to se a serpent crying.
"Um mister, what happend?" Twilight asked it.
"Well I don't know." The serpent said, "I was just sitting here, minding my own business when Woosh! A tacky purple cloud wizard by and took off half of my beloved moustache, now I look awful!" It cried, splashing into the water, getting the rest of us soaked.
"That's it?" Twilight asked not shocked at all.
"Why of course it is!" Rarity yelped in shock as she went up to the serpent, "look at your shining scales." She said.
"I know." The serpent replied.
"Your expertly combed mane." She continued.
"I know I know." The serpent said.
"Your lovely manicure." She went on.
"It's so true!" The serpent said.
"All ruined without your beautiful moustache." She finished.
"It's true, I'm awful!" The serpent cried.
"I will not let a crime of fashion last!" Rarity said as she plucked one of the serpents scales off.
"Ow! What did you do that for?" The serpent asked.
Rarity held the scale like a sword and sliced down.
Everyone gasped as the serpent fainted as well.
Rarity spat out the scale and used her magic to lift up the part of her tail she cut off and used it to fix the serpents moustache.
After the serpent thanked us, Twilight said, "the rivers calm, we can cross now!" As she started to cross.
The serpent raised her up out of the water and said, "Allow me." As he dunked his head in the water, making a bridge for us to cross the water.
4:25 am - Deep Everfree Forest, Equestria.
"Why is it so dark?" I muttered to the group.
"I know, it's hard to see in the dark." Twilight said.
Suddenly the Forest brightends up, revealing trees with scary faces on the,pm, causing us to scream.
Suddenly we all hear laughter from Pinkie Pie, laughing and making funny faces at the trees.
"Pinkie, what are you doing!? RUN!" Twilight yelled to her.
"Oh girls don't you see?" Pinkie said as she started to sing.
"When I was a little filly and the sun was going down~"
"Tell me she isn't." Twilight said.
"The darkness and the shadows, they would always make,me frown~"
"She is." Rarity said.
"I'd hide under my pillow, from what I thought I saw, but Granny Pie said that wasn't the way to deal with fears at all~"
"Then what is?" Rainbow said.
"She said Pinkie you gotta stand up tall, learn to face your fears, and you'll see that they can't hurt you just laugh to make them disappear~... Ha ha ha!" Pinkie laughed at a tree and the face disappeared.
We all gasped.
"So~ giggle at the ghostie! gaffaw at the grossly, Crack up at the creepy, whoop it up with the weepy, chortle at the kooky, Snortle at the spooky." Pinkie sang, having us laughing at the trees.
"And tell that big dumb scary face to take a hike and leave you alone and if he thinks he can scare you then he's got another thing coming and the very idea of such a thing just makes you wanna... hahahaha... heh... Laugh~" She ended her song with a wide smile.
Everypony fell to the ground laughing their heads off, brightening up the groups mood.
5:59 am - Outskirts of the Royal pony sisters castle, Everfree Forest.
We all were at a canter, heading towards the castle still laughing when it came into view.
"There it is!" Twilight said as she ran ahead, falling off a cliff to be caught by Rainbow.
"What's with you and falling off cliffs today?" Rainbow asked her as she set Twilight on the ground with the rest of us.
"How do we cross now?" Pinkie asked.
Rainbow extends her wings, "Duh." She said as she pulled the rope out of the abyss and to the other side.
"Oh yea." Pinkie said.
As Rainbow was setting the bridge up she heard a voice, "Rainbow....." It called.
"Who's there?" She asked.
"Rainbow....." She repeated.
"Come on, Show yourself!" She yelled as she got ready to fight.
Three ponies ran out of the fog. "Hello Rainbow, we were looking for the best flyer in Equestria to lead us, and you fit the ticket." The leader said as fog rolled in blind rainbow, cutting us off.
"Rainbow!" We all yelled.
"Come on RD... Don't let us down." I said loud enough for Twilight to hear.
Rainbow flew out from the fog, revealing the repaired bridge, we all cheered for her.
"Aww come on, I'd never leave my friends hanging." Rainbow said as we continued on.
6:29 am - Castle of the Royal Pony Sisters, Everfree Forest.
As we all entered the castle we saw the elements in the main room.
"The elements! We found them!" Twilight said excitedly as Rainbow and Fluttershy brought them bown.
"One, two three four... There's only five." Pinkie said
"The book said a spark when the five others are present will make the sixth element appear." Twilight said, "I'm going to try something." She stated as her magic started.
"Come on y'all, she needs her space." Applejack said as she lead us out of the room while Twilight cast her spell.
After a minute we all heard a scream come from inside, we all rushed in to see both Twilight and the elements gone.
"Where'd she go?" Pinkie asked.
"Girls! Up there!" I called as I pointed up to a window that was flashing. I got down and lead the way to there.
7:37 am - Castle of the Royal Pony Sisters, Everfree Forest.
"Because the spirits of the elements are right here!" Twilight announced as we rejoined her.
"Applejack, who gave me hope when I was in doubt, represents the element of, Honesty!" Small gems surrounded Applejack.
"Fluttershy, who tamed the wild manticore, represents the element of, Kindness!" Gems surrounded Fluttershy.
"Rarity, who calmed the serpent with a meaningful gift, represents the element of, Generosity!" Gems surround Rarity.
"Pinkie Pie, who laughed in the face of danger, represents the element of, Laughter!" Gems surround Pinkie Pie.
"And Rainbow Dash, who couldn't abandon her friends for her hearts desire, represents the element of, Loyalty!" Gems surround Rainbow.
"But where's the sixth element, the spark didn't work!" Nightmare Moon said.
"But it did, the spark was inside me wen I realized you all were my friends... This creates the element of, Magic!" The sixth element appeared and moved to Twilight, when the gems and stone turned into necklaces and a crown, for some reason the elements did not work. "But how.." Twilight was dumbfound.
Nightmare Moon cackled, "Didn't you know there was a seventh element!? The element that unites you all together." Nightmare Moon stated.
That's when I felt something inside me, a spark so say. I finally spoke up, "Would this element be, Unity!" I yelled out as out of nowhere, gems rose and flew to me, forming a necklace like the others, initiating the Harmony strike against Nightmare Moon.
"Nooooooooo!!!!!!!" She screamed as the elements did there work.
8:00 am - castle of the Royal pony sisters, Everfree Forest.
I groaned as I got up to see the others, including Princess Celestia, over me. "Wha..." I moved to my hooves only to feel light headed again as I fell over, Princess Celestia catching me.
"Easy there my little pony.. Your weak for the magic..." Celestia said as she held out something I knew, my Sonic Screwdriver! "You dropped this as well, daughter of Doctor Whooves." Celestia smiled as she lightly kissed my forehead and moved me onto her back as she turned to the pony beside her. "Luna, let's head back to Ponyville and introduce you." Celestia smiled at Luna.
"Will they not hate me sister?" She asked her with a scared tone.
"Nonsence Luna, they will not hate you.." Celestia said.
That was all I heard before I lost consciousness and passed out completely still on Celestia's back.
