Chapters Chapter 1: An Average Day At Home
It all started one warm summer day in the middle of summer. I was just an average guy who enjoyed helping people and flying when it all happened. Tomorrow would be my twenty sixth birthday and i was looking forward to one of the many parties i'd received from Pinkie Pie. I was walking down the street one day when i herd something in an alleyway. I walked over to see what it was.
"Come on, give me your money!" A man shouted to a woman pressed against a wall.
"H-Here take what you want, just, please leave me alone!" The woman said back. I walked silently down the alleyway and stood behind the man.
"Thanks lady." The man said and turned around. He bumped into me and looked into my face.
"I'd give that money back if i were you, chump." I told him and cracked my knuckles.
"Oh yeah? Who's gonna make me?" He asked and swung a knife at me. I grinned and grabbed his arm as i flung him around. He hit the ground and dropped the knife as i put my foot on his chest and pressed down.
"I believe you owe this woman something." I said and pulled on his arm, which made him drop the purse. I picked it up and punched him in the face as i turned around. "Here you go miss." I said as i handed the purse to her.
"Thank you..... What's your name?" She asked me.
"My name's Ocelot, but my friends call me Brute. What's yours?" I asked her.
"My name is Twilight Sparkle. Thank you for helping me out here. Would you like to come meet my friends?" She asked me.
"Wait, your THE Twilight Sparkle?." I asked her with a surprised tone.
"Yes thats me." She said as we began to walk.
"Wow, its great to meet you." I said as we began walking down the road. "So what were you doin' out here anyway? This isn't the greatest place in town to be hangin' around you know." I said as we walked.
"I was just out picking something up for one of my friends is all. What are you doing out here?" She asked me.
"I live out here. People always need help down here and im never one to turn 'em down. So what are your friends like?" I asked her as the neighborhood started to get a little better.
"Well my best friends names are Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie so-" I cut her off before she could continue.
"Wait, your friends with Pinkie?" I asked her while we walked.
"Yes isn't everyone in town?" She asked and i chuckled.
"Yeah, i guess so. So you've got a pretty good friendship goin' on with all of them right?" I asked.
"Yes, we couldn't possibly get any better as friends." Twilight said as we came to a stop at an open field. I saw five woman in the field doing one thing or another and then noticed one of them was Pinkie Pie. I waved to her and shouted to her.
"Hey Pinkie! Whats up?!" I shouted and she ran over to us.
"Hey Twilight, Hey Ocelot what are you two doing together?" She asked.
"Twilight was down in the bad neighborhood and someone tried to mug her. I helped her out though so she wanted to introduce me to you all." I said as the other four approached me.
"Well hello sir, my name is-" I cut her off as i recognized who she was.
"Your Rarity, world famous fashion designer. Wow its so nice to meet you all. Wait....... You guys are the elements of harmony aren't you?!" I shouted as i looked them over.
"Yeah we are." The rainbow haired one said.
"Let me guess.... Your Rainbow Dash, your Fluttershy and your Appleajack?" I said and pointed them all out as they nodded. "Wow this is awesome! I didn't know you guys lived in town!" I said as we all walked back over to where they were sitting.
"So, what would be your name sir?" Rarity asked me.
"Oh, my bad, my name's Ocelot but my friends just call me Brute. I like helping people and i love to fly." I said and flexed my wings.
"Is that so? How about a little competition then?" Dash asked me with a grin.
"What'd you have in mind?" I asked and stood up.
"A race. Loser owes the other one fifty bucks. Sound like you could handle it?" She asked me.
"No prob, you may be the fastest flier in Equestria but i think i still have a chance." I said as we got into position to start.
"Alright. Three, Two, One.... GO!" She said as we both fired off the ground and through the air. We raced around the whole town three times and were headed towards the finish line. I used the last of my strength to get the lead and hit the line first as i landed. Dash landed next to me as i wiped myself off and looked at me. "You..... You beat me?" She asked.
"Apparently i did. Wow, bet thats a first." I said with a chuckle as she reached into her pocket and grabbed her wallet. "Its alright, you can keep it, i just wanted some competition." I said and she smiled.
"Your alright Ocelot. Your alright." She said as we walked back over to the tree they were sitting at and sat down.
"Congratulations on beatn' her. She's a real fighter that one." Applejack said and i chuckled.
"Yeah, i know that much about her. So what do you guys usually do around here?" I asked.
"Well, have a weekly get-together right here where we just come to hang out and have a picnic together. Thats what were doing right now." Twilight said and opened a basket.
"Cool, sounds like fun." I said as she passed out napkins to each of us and then got some food. We sat there for a while and just ate, talked and got to know each other better for about an hour an a half before we started to pack up. "Well that was fun, i guess i'll see you guys later then?" I asked as we walked back to town.
"Absolutely, your one of our friends now and thats how it stays." Twilight said and we all laughed.
"Thanks, that means a lot to me. I'll see you guys later i gotta head back home for a little while." I said and walked off. I walked all the way back home and walked in and shut the door. I went over and laid down on an exercise machine i had and started lifting the weight i had it set to. I did that for about a half hour to forty five minutes and then went to watch T.V. I sat down and turned it on and sat there and watched about an hour and a half of it before heading upstairs and taking a shower. After i was done with that i walked downstairs and locked up my house and then went to bed.
The next morning, i woke up the same way i do everyday. I got up, got dressed, went downstairs and ate breakfast, worked out for twenty minutes and went to leave when i noticed a letter disignated to me lying on the floor in front of my door. I picked it up and opened it to read it.
Dear Ocelot Striker,
I have heard of how you assisted Twilight Sparkle yesterday and i wanted to speak to you, in person. Please, come visit me in Canterlot whenever you have time.

I read the letter over several times to be sure it was real and then dropped the letter on the table. I unlocked my door and opened it. I shut it behind me as i sprinted outside and flew off the ground. I flew through the air at Blinding speeds until i reached the main castle gate. I landed, dusted myself off and approached the gate, only to be stopped by two guards.
"Halt, who wishes to enter the palace?" One guard asked me.
"My name is Ocelot Striker. Princess Celestia requested an audience with me." I told them as they looked at each other.
"Oh yes, the princess is waiting for you inside. Please, head on in." The second said as they lowered their wings and opened the gate. I walked in and looked around at my surroundings. The walls were beautifully decorated, as were the doors and windows. There were stain glass windows along the walls that were beautifully crafted. I looked around further as i reached a large door and opened it. I walked into another room and heard a voice coming from the other side. I looked over and saw none other than the princess herself. The voices stopped as she and the woman she was talking to, who happened to be princess Luna, looked over and walked towards me.
"Your majesties, it is an honor to be in your presence." I said and bowed. I looked up and saw she was smiling when she spoke.
"You may rise. So, tell me, what is your name sir?" Celestia asked me.
"My name is Ocelot Striker. I came as fast as i could after receiving your message this morning." I said and stood up.
"Aah, so your Ocelot. I see why Twilight and her friends think so highly of you. Now then, Twilight tells me that you stopped someone from stealing from her yesterday afternoon?" Celestia asked me.
"Wait, how do you know Twilight?" I asked.
"Why, she's my private student. I practically raised her myself." Celestia said as we sat down at a table and talked.
"Well, then it is an honor to know her as well. But yes, i did help her yesterday. I made it my job to go around and help anyone who needs it around town." I told her.
"Well, i am glad to hear that you enjoy helping others. Luna, would you mind leaving us alone for the moment?" She asked her sister.
"Of course sister." She said with a smile and walked off. She exited the room and Celestia waved a hand and the guards left the room as well.
"So tell me Ocelot, what have you chosen to do with your life?" She asked me.
"Well as i said before, i have dedicated most of my life to helping others and keeping them safe as often as i am able to." I said and she looked out the window for a few moments. While she did, i took the time to take in her features. She had Lightly toned skin, magnificent flowing hair, and she had a beautiful complexion. Everything about her was near perfect in every way. She looked back at me and spoke to me again.
"I see, so do you live well?" She asked me.
"Not in the best conditions, but i get by. I live in the somewhat worse area of Ponyville so its not the greatest place to live." I said and looked out the window.
"Hmm, how would you like to move into a house in Canterlot?" She asked me and my attention shot back to her.
"E-Excuse me?" I stuttered and looked at her.
"I asked if you would like to move into Canterlot. There is a free house near the castle that you could move into if you would like." She said with a smile. I drew a blank as for what to say. I was trying to figure out why she would offer me something like this out of nowhere. Did she like me? Did she see me as a friend? Or does she simply just want me to live better? All these thoughts ran through my head until i came to one conclusion. I loved her. I looked down for a second before i responded.
"That would be great, where is this house?" I asked her. She stood up and walked to the window and pointed. I walked over next to her and looked where she pointed to.
"Right there. Someone recently moved out of Canterlot and the house has been left free." She said as i looked over the house. It was amazing, it looked like the type of house a very rich family would live in. It was three stories tall, and had a white paint job and a gold trim to the door's, windows and roofs. It looked like something that only royalty deserved to live in. I tapped my chin in thought.
"Hmm, i wonder what makes her offer me this, or for that matter, why she would offer me it at all. I suppose i should take it, seeing as it would get me closer to her......" I thought to myself and finally made my choice.
"well, what do you say?" She asked me.
"I'll take it. Although, may i ask why you are offering me this?" I asked her. She smiled and looked at me.
"I just figured someone like you shouldn't have to live in a neighborhood like that and then i remembered the available house we had." She said and smiled.
"Hmm, well thank you Princess. And if i may ask, how old are you?" I asked her and she looked at me, confused.
"Why do you ask that?" She asked me. I shrugged and looked at her. She tapped her chin and then spoke to me. "About a thousand and seventeen years old, why?" She asked.
"Incredible, you look like your only twenty four." I said with a smile and i saw her blush.
"Well, thank you for the compliment. Im sure you'll want to go now." She said and began to walk away.
"Actually i was kind of hoping to ask you a question." I said and then mentally kicked myself for it. She turned and looked at me before speaking.
"Ask anything." She said with a smile. I started sweating slightly when she said that as i looked around for an excuse. I found nothing and looked back at her.
"Would you like to....... Have dinner with me, this evening?" I asked with a weak smile. Her eyes shrank back as if she was shocked or upset. I waited for her response, terror in my eyes. She tapped her chin as if she was considering it. My heart instantly started beating faster and faster as she waited. She finally looked up at me and spoke.
"Sure, i'd love to. Where at?" She asked with a smile. My heart skipped a beat when she responded as i thought of a place to go.
"How about the restaurant down the street from here. The Fiery Platter, is it?" I said and looked to see i was correct.
"Sure, i'll meet you there at six." She said and walked off. I nearly fainted as i realized my heart hadn't started back up after she spoke and i half fell over. I looked up and then smacked myself to make sure i wasn't dreaming. It hurt like a bitch so i knew i wasn't.
"Sweet Celestia i asked out Princess Celestia!" I said to myself and then jumped into the air and did a backflip. I landed it perfectly and then opened the window and flew away. I landed down at the Ponyville Library and knocked on the door. I heard a noise from behind the door and then it opened.
"Oh, hey Ocelot, whats up?" Twilight asked me.
"Hey Twilight. Can i come in?" I asked her and she moved out of the way.
"Sure come on in. Spike, we have a visitor!" She called out.
"Who's Spike?" I asked.
"He's my assistant. So what do you need?" She asked me.
"I need advice...... Special advice." I said and sat down.
"What kind of special advice?" She asked me.
"Love advice." I said and smiled slightly.
"Why? Who are you seeing?" She asked me with a smile.
"Well, im not seeing them per say but i just asked her out. And since you are closer to her than almost anyone i figured i should ask you first." I said and looked at her.
"Who is it?" She asked me with a confused look. I sat there silently for a minute before i leaned forward and whispered into her ear my response.
"Princess Celestia." I said and sat back down. Her face dropped and she looked terrified as she looked at me.
"You...... Asked out......... Princess Celestia?" She asked me.
"Uuh..... Yes?" I said weakly and her eye's lit up.
"What did she say?" She asked me excitedly.
"She uuh, said yes." I said as she sat down.
"Really? What did you say to her before you asked her?" She asked me.
"I asked her how old she was. She told me what her actual age was and i complimented her and said she looked Twenty four years old." I said and Twilight smiled.
"Thats so sweet. Do you really like her?" She asked.
"Of course i do. I knew i loved her the moment i saw her, but i was afraid to say anything for fear of how she'd reply. But when i did ask her it just kind of..... Slipped out. But im glad i did now that i know she said yes." I told her as her smile kept getting wider.
"Well, what kind of advice did you need?" She asked.
"Well, you know her better than anyone so i just came to ask how i should treat her on this date. I mean, i know im going to treat her good, but what does she like?" I asked her.
"Well, i've never really learned much about her personal side in my time with her but i know that she likes people to be themselves. I can guarantee that." Twilight said.
"Hmm, thats all you can offer me?" I asked.
"Sorry but yes. You could ask her sister if you like. Im sure she'd be able to help you. So when is your date with her?" Twilight asked me.
"At six tonight. What time is it now?" I asked.
"Its about twelve thirty now. I suggest you go ask Luna anything you want to know." Twilight said as we both stood up. I hugged her as i spoke.
"Thanks Twilight. Your a good friend." I said and walked outside and flew away. I flew up to Canterlot castle and looked around from above for her room. I saw a room with dark blue curtains and stars of them so i figured it would be her room. I flew down and landed on the balcony. i knocked on the window and heard something inside move. The curtain moved and Luna's head poked through. She looked confused as i waved and she opened the door.
"Uum, hello? Who are you and what are you doing up here?" She asked me as she let me inside.
"My name is Ocelot Striker. I have a date with your sister tonight and i came to ask you for any advice." I said and sat down in a chair.
"Why do you need advice for a date?" She asked me.
"Because i've never dated anyone before." I said and she looked confused.
"How could someone like you not have dated anyone before?" She asked me.
"Well, i've just been waiting for the right person for me, and i think that Celestia is that person." I told her as she sat down next to me.
"Do you really love her?" She asked me.
"Yes, i do. I would do anything to be close to her and to protect her. If i lost her i would lose everything i have left to live for. I have never loved anyone but my family before i found her. I mean, i knew about her before this but i've never seen her in person, let alone been to Canterlot in general. But when i saw your sister i instantly fell in love with her. I love her, and i always will." I told her and she looked into my eyes.
"I believe you Ocelot." She said and put a hand on my shoulder. "And let me tell you a few things about my sister." She said and began telling me all about Celestia. She told me things ranging from her childhood all the way up the the point where Nightmare came around, and then some after she came back. I listened intently for what seemed like only a few minutes. When she stopped talking i looked at the clock.
"Wow, i cant believe it took us four and a half hours to discuss all that." I said as i saw that it was Five-Ten in the afternoon. My heart stopped as i truly realized what time it was. "My date is in less than an hour!" I said and hugged Luna. "Thank you Princess, you have been a great help to me." I said as i flew out the window. She smiled and closed it as i flew home and walked into my house. I shut the door and ran upstairs. I took a short shower and got dressed. I looked over myself and nodded. I walked outside and flew up to Canterlot. I landed at the restaurant and looked at my watch. "Hmm, two minutes to spare. I am good." I said as i saw Celestia walk down the sidewalk towards me. I bowed as she approached me and stood back up.
"Good evening Ocelot." She said with a smile.
"Good evening your highness. You're looking divine tonight." I said and she blushed. I chuckled and took her hand. "Shall we?" I asked as we walked into the restaurant. Everyone gasped as they saw us and the music they were playing stopped.
"How come you all stopped? We came to enjoy ourselves!" Celestia said and everyone cheered as the music came back on. I found us a booth by a window and sat down across from her. Our waiter handed us each a menu and walked off.
"So, how often do you come here?" I asked as we looked over the food items.
"Not very, i usually just eat in the castle." She said and set down her menu.
"Hmm, doesn't seem very nice does it?" I asked. She sighed and spoke.
"No im afraid not. The food is very nice there but it just gets somewhat boring after so long." She said as i set down my menu.
"I can imagine so. So, what do you do for fun when you have free time around the castle?" I asked.
"Oh Luna and i have a prank war going on around the castle and it is the most fun i've had since i was a teenager. Most of the time we just have a competition in which we get together and compare who can prank one of the guards better. It seems that there is no winner in the near future but that just gives us more time to have fun with them." She said and we both laughed. When we calmed down the waiter walked back over.
"Good evening your majesty. Would you like to eat tonight?" He asked her.
"Hmm, i will have the Caesar Salad please." She said and handed him her menu.
"And for you sir?" The waiter asked.
"I'll have the same thing as her." I said and handed him my menu. He smiled and bowed before walking off. "So, why the Caesar?" I asked sarcastically.
"I could ask you the same thing." She joked and laughed.
"I need to watch my tone. You dont get a body this good by eating a lot all the time do you?" I joked and flexed my arm. She laughed and replied to my question.
"Aah, yes im trying to watch my weight." She said and i looked at her confused.
"Why would you need to watch your weight? You look like you barely weight a hundred and fifty!" I said and she blushed again.
"You always know what to say to me." She joked and we both laughed.
"So what else is there to talk about?" I asked her. She tapped her chin and then looked at me.
"How about we talk about you?" She asked and i nodded.
"Well, what do you wanna know?" I asked.
"Well, what do you do for fun?" She asked me.
"Aah, that. Well, when im bored i sit down and watch T.V or work out for a little while. I've never really had close friends before recently. Now once a week i go out with Twilight and her friends and have a little get together picnic and just hang out. I raced Rainbow Dash today and won, i couldn't believe i beat her. I mean, she's the fastest flyer in Equestria!" I said and she nodded.
"Oh yes, i heard the captain of the Wonderbolts talking about adding her to the team. I think you should tell her about it next time you see her." Celestia told me.
"I'll keep that in mind. You know, i was just wondering something...." I said and stopped talking for a moment.
"What's on your mind?" She asked me.
"What's being immortal like?" I asked her.
"Oh.... Well some people think its great, getting to watch all of time go by and watch all the change in the world but no.... Its torture to me. All i've ever been able to do is make friends and then watch them die later in life. Its horrible...... Truly horrible. Thats why i never make friends with people i meet. Because every time i do i have to watch them die right in front of me." She said and started to sob a bit. I stood up and sat down next to her.
"Dont worry Princess, i wont ever leave you." I said and hugged her.
"Yes you will, you have no choice. You will die eventually and i'll be alone with my sister again." She said and looked into my eyes.
"No...... I wont.... I will never leave you, and i will NEVER let anything happen to you. I love you, and i always will." I said and kissed her. We sat there for a minute before separating and i moved back over to my seat. I smiled as she wiped her eyes off.
"T-Thank you.... But how will you stay with me?" She asked as the waiter set our food down in front of us.
"Come with me to my house, i have something you need to see. After this of course." I said as we began eating our salads. I finished mine in about two minutes while she took a little longer to enjoy it. I smiled and waited patiently and looked out the window. The city of Canterlot was beautiful this time of night. I had never been here before and the first time i come here i go on a date with Princess Celestia. Now that is a story i could tell one day. I chuckled and looked over and saw her finish eating.
"That was delicious." She said as we stood up. The waiter walked over and i gave him fifty bit's.
"Keep the change. Consider it a tip." I said as we walked out. We walked outside and flew down to Ponyville in about five minutes. I landed and unlocked the door and allowed her in first. She looked around and saw how i really lived.
"Wow, your house truly doesn't look the same on the outside." She said as i walked in and shut the door.
"I know, i make sure i always have the place cleaned up if i ever have a guest. Now then, come with me." I said and walked over to a bookshelf. I looked through quickly for a certain book before grabbing a blank red one and pulled. I let go and it slid back into place as the wall slid back and moved out of the way. "Shall we?" I asked and held up a hand. We walked down the stairs for a minute or so before we reached a very large room filled to the brim with all sorts of scrolls, books and ancient tomes.
"What is this place?" She asked and looked around.
"This is my archive. I built it myself so i could house all the knowledge i could possibly find. I may not be a unicorn but i can use magic, of sorts anyway." I said as she looked at me.
"What kind of magic?" She asked.
"Hmm, well there are many types of magic that only Pegasi can use but there are far more that all three races can use. Where to begin?" I said as i lifted a hand and pulled a book of the shelf across the room from me. I opened it and read through it for a moment. "What type of spell do you wish to see?" I asked her as she sat down.
"That all depends on what it does. What kind of spells can you perform?" She asked. I tapped my chin for a moment before shrugging.
"I'll start off by using simple spells, such as this." I said and lifted my hand up and pointed it at a vase. I twisted my hand and transformed it into a rose bouquet and used telekinesis to pull it towards me. I handed it to her and smiled. "Transformation spells are incredibly simple to begin with for Pegasi. Not quite sure why though. Let's try this now." I said and lifted my hand and snapped. i spun around and raised my arm in the process and disappeared.
"Where did you go?" She asked as i sat next to her without her noticing.
"Im right here." I said and reappeared. "How about this?" I asked and lifted up my hand and made a fist. I tapped it three times and blew into it before opening it. Four butterflies flew out of my hand and up to the ceiling before vanishing. Then i picked up a piece of paper and ripped it in half and balled each half up in one hand or the other. I blew into them and opened my hands and let free two birds.
"That is incredible, who taught you how to do all this?" She asked me.
"I taught myself since i was a child. I grew up without parents or siblings to look out for me so i had to be strong and defensive. Now watch this." I said and ripped another piece of paper in half and balled them up. I squeezed on them until my hands started to glow. When i opened my hands, two controlled balls of fire lay inside of them. I swirled them around a little bit and threw them into the air. They stopped and stayed there as i lifted my hands to my mouth. I blew into my hand and then threw the breath towards the fire. The air that was my breath shot out of my hand and turned to a small blizzard and extinguished the fire before vanishing, creating a light snow all over the room. I bowed as the snow fell gently and looked back up at her.
"That was incredible. I had no idea that other races besides alicorns and unicorns could use magic before now." She said as i teleported behind her.
"So now do you believe i can stay with you?" I asked her.
"Not quite, what can all this do the makes you able to stay alive with me?" She asked.
"Aah, that, right. Stand back, this one is a bit dangerous at close proximity." I said as she backed up. I cracked my knuckles and held out my hands to both sides. I closed my eyes and focused all my energy into my hands as two spheres appeared in them. I pushed the spheres together and they created one Sapphire blue sphere in my hands. I lifted it up into the air and felt its power.
"What is it?" She asked me.
"A life sphere. I need you to make short contact with it for a moment." I said and lowered it down in front of her. She took one finger and touched it before pulling her hand back.
"Ouch, that hurt." She said and gasped when the sphere changed colors from sapphire blue to a shifting rainbow color.
"It matches your hair color. The spell is complete." I said and pushed the sphere into my chest. I grunted as i did so and my eye's changed color from their normal emerald green color to a deep pinkish violet color. They matched her eyes exactly.
"What did that do exactly?" She asked me.
"We share a life force now. If you die, i die. But if i die, you will remain. So long as there is blood in my veins and air in my lungs i SWEAR i will protect you no matter the threat. No matter what i face, as long as i am still breathing you will not be harmed. I swear it." I told her and looked deep into her eyes. She just stared into mine for a while before anything happened.
"Thank you Ocelot." She said and hugged me. I returned it and smiled.
"I will always be there for you, no matter the circumstances. I love you Celestia...... And i always will." I told her and we began walking back upstairs. When we reached the living room of my house i closed the secret room and we walked outside. She looked at me and smiled.
"I'll see you tomorrow?" She asked with a smile. I chuckled and did the same.
"Of course you will. Good night, and tell Luna i said hi." I said as she teleported away. I smiled and walked back inside and sat down. "Man...... That was awesome." I said to myself and sighed. Then i stood up and went to bed.
My Second Greatest Challenge
Chapter 2: My Second Greatest Challenge
While i slept i had wondered what tomorrow would bring. The night i had just had was divine and i wouldn't change it for the world. I dreamed of how amazing the next few days would be and instantly couldn't wait for them to come. Then i shot upright in my bed and looked around. I heard a noise when usually my home was silent. I looked around my room slowly as not to disturb whatever it was.
"Corrosion? Is that you?" I asked quietly. Corrosion was my pet dragon. She was just about nineteen years old now but was still small seeing how dragons live for hundreds of years or more. I looked around for the sapphire scaled dragon and saw nothing. Then i stopped all together as i saw something moving in the corner of the room.
"Hello Ocelot. Sleep well i hope?" A female voice asked me as a light turned on. She was wearing all black ranging from her head to her toes and i could only see her eyes. Which i found to be very strange when i looked at them. They were an emerald green color, but what was confusing was, they were dragon eyes. The same eyes that all dragons had and only one other person had ever owned, Nightmare Moon. But she was dead and her eyes weren't green, they were turquoise.
"Who are you and how did you get into my house?" I asked her.
"Straight to the point eh? I like that. Oh well, you can call me Nightshade for now. I came here to ask you something." She said and looked into my eyes.
"Well, then shoot." I said and sat up straight.
"Do you really love her?" She asked me. I looked at her with a confused expression as i spoke.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"So you really love Celestia? Did you mean all you said?" She asked me.
"How do you know about our conver-" I was cut off.
"Answer the damn question!" She said angrily.
"Yes, i meant it all." I said and i could see her smile beneath her mask.
"Well then, how about you take a little test to prove it." She said.
"What do you mean, Test ?" I asked as i started to get mad.
"A test to see if your willing to go through anything to protect her." She said and i lost my temper.
"WHERE IS SHE?! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HER?!" I shouted and lunged at her. I pinned her to the ground and held her there.
"Nothing.... Yet, but if you don't listen to me...... You won't know how to find her!" She grunted and i stood up. I held her in the air and spoke.
"Where. Is. Celestia?!" I snarled.
"You must take this test or she will die. You must find her by following the trail of notes starting in her bedroom. If you go now you can save her!" She said and i could feel her breathing slow to a normal. She wasn't lying. I pulled her closer to my face and spoke.
"If i find out that your behind all this and i find Celestia, im coming for you. And i swear on my LIFE that i will find you and WRING YOUR NECK!" I said and threw her out the window. The glass shattered and she fell to the ground as i lunged outside and flew to Canterlot Castle. I sped through the air at blinding speeds and blasted the doors to her balcony off the hinges. I looked around and saw a piece of paper on the bed. I sprinted over and read it.
To find the woman you love, first go to the place where it all began.
The note said to me and i dropped it and flew out the window. I knew exactly where i was headed. I was going to the abandoned castle of the royal sisters. I flew there faster than i knew i could and kicked open the doors. I saw another note on the throne and sprinted to pick it up. But i was cut off by something dropping from the ceiling in front of me. I had no idea what it was but whatever it was it was keeping me from Celestia. I watched as it stood up and howled at the ceiling and charged me. I dived out of the way and grabbed a sword off the ground from next to a statue. It howled and charged me again, but this time i cut off its arm. It fell and howled again and i looked at it triumphantly.
"Not so tough now are you?" I asked and gasped as it stood back up and its arm grew back. "What the hell are you?!" I shouted as it charged again. This time i cut its chest wide open and it howled as it grew back. "Son of a-" I got cut off by a chunk of the wall hitting me and sending me flying back. I landed and stood up as it charged again. I threw down my sword and grabbed its head and swung it around a few times. It howled at me as i smashed it to the ground. "OPEN WIDE!!!" I said and snapped its head in half. It fell limp and rolled to the ground and died. I sighed and ran over to pick up the note.
If you are reading this, then you are alive and have defeated the first guardian. Next, you must head to Canterlot tower and find the secret passageway. Only there shall you find your next objective.
I read it and flew up and smashed a hole in the ceiling and flew away. I reached Canterlot tower and flew through the window and looked around. I saw a loose brick in the wall by the door and walked over to it. I moved the brick from the wall and saw a button. I pressed it and a door opened up on the ground behind me.
"Hello, whats this?" I said and looked down the hole in the center of the room. I used a spell and dropped a sphere of light down the hole and it stopped a minute later or so. I sighed and looked down the hole. "Well, guess im going down." I said and jumped down the hole. I plummeted down and smashed the ground then looked around. It was dark and very dull looking for what i could see. I lit a light with magic and looked around. There were three paths i could go down and i shot a light down each of them. "Hello? Hello?!" I shouted into the darkness.
"Ocelot......." I heard something say and spun around. There was a shadowy figure standing behind me and i spawned a sword from magic and raised it.
"How do you know my name? Who are you?!" I asked. The figure moved towards me and dispelled my sword and looked at me. It was a man, a built, masked man. He was wearing a white mask with blood stains all over it and it had stitches in red all over it. I looked at his chest and there were masks similar to the one he wore but in a belt around his chest. And one more thing made me uncomfortable about him. His eyes were the color of fire and death.
"I know many things Ocelot. My name is Jack Of Blades and i am here to guide you." He said and looked into my eyes.
"Jack Of Blades...... Why does that sound familiar?" I asked him and he stepped backwards.
"I have been away for thousands of years. I have finally returned to the world to help people once again. Take the right side path and you shall find your answer. I will be with you when you need me the most." He said and faded away into thin air. I looked down the path and ran through it. I stopped at a wall with a lever and a note tied to it. I picked it up and read it.
You have found the third note, very good choices. Now you must pull this lever and find a place called "The Shadow In The Mist". Go there, and you shall have your final test. But first, say hello to another guardian.
The note said and i pulled the lever and the wall moved out of the way. It revealed a huge man chained to a wall. I slowly entered the room and saw that he had his eye's stitched shut and a steel cage around his head. There were two bells on the walls and he was in a cage. There was a locked door to my right and i saw the key hanging from the back of his cage.
"Damn....." I said as i realized i had to get past him to get out of here as the door behind me sealed shut. The creature shifted around in his cage and i saw his ears move around. He apparently had super human hearing and could hear my voice when i spoke. I walked forward and tapped the cage. He shook around a bit and looked back down before falling limp. I opened the gate silently and took one step inside. His head shot up and he ripped his hands free of the chains and crossed his arms. He roared at the ceiling and shot a pair of claws out of his wrist bracers. Each pair had three blades and he charged me, attempting to impale me. I backed up and dove out of the way as he sprinted towards the wall. He stopped and started swinging around in a frenzy.
"WHERE YOU GO?!?!" He shouted in an almost native voice. He stopped, looked around and retracted his claws and slowly walked around. I tapped the ground and he extended them and ran towards me, repeating his previous actions. Sprint, frenzy, examine, walk. I smiled and picked up a rock and threw it at a bell. It hit hard and rang throughout the room, causing him to howl and sprint into it. His claws ripped it to pieces and impaled the wall. There was something on his back that looked alive. I spawned a sword out of magic and started slashing it rapidly. I stabbed it once and he howled and spun around with a flail. I narrowly dodged him and landed at the back of the room.
"Over here big guy!" I shouted and he ran towards me. I dodged and he impaled the ground for only a split second. I snapped to myself as he turned around.
"ME KNOW YOU HERE LITTLE MAN!!!" He shouted and walked around. I threw a rock at the second bell and he did the same thing as before. He was stuck in the wall and i ran up to him and slashed it repeatedly over and over again and the i impaled him entirely. He howled in pain and fell limp. I dispelled my sword and he fell and died.
"Whew, glad thats over with." I said and ran to grab the key. I ripped it from the chain and unlocked the door. I kicked it open and sprinted ahead. I saw a light far ahead and started flying towards it. I made it outside and looked around. I was in an open field and i saw a dark green trail leading towards the mountains. I grinned and flew down it as fast as i could. I soon reached a large, black building in the shape of a mansion. I blew down the doors and flew inside. "CELESTIA!!!!" I screamed into the building. I heard nothing and saw a note hanging from the wall at the other side. I flew over and picked it up.
Dear Ocelot, if you are reading this, you defeated the second guardian and have proven yourself almost worthy. Now turn around, take three steps forward and look to your right. Then, run ahead and push the blue brick into the wall, then follow the path until you find a hidden room. It is there, that you shall find your answers.
I read it and did as it said. I followed all the steps exactly and followed the path. I found a black steel door and opened it. I saw someone in a blue robe sitting in a throne with his hood up and Celestia passed out in a cage next to him.
"CELESTIA!!!" I screamed and took a step forward.
"DONT.... Move, unless you want her to die." The man said and i froze solid.
"Who are you? Are you the one behind all this?!" I shouted as he stepped forward.
"Oh no, no, no. I am his right hand man. My name, is Maze." He said and pulled his hood back. He had glowing blue tattoos all over his body and his irises were a light, neon blue. "I am your final test. Fight me, using all you've learned about the last two guardians." He said and blinked once.
"What do you mean?" I asked him.
"I am blind, and cannot be killed like normal humans. Now, FIGHT ME!" He shouted and charged me. I dodged several of his attacks before he hit me really hard in the stomach, sending me flying across the room. I hit the wall with a loud bang and fell to my knees. He laughed out loud and looked at me. "Whats wrong boy? Can't handle an old blind man?!" He shouted and charged me again. I dodged and smashed my fist into his face. He spun around once and laughed.
"What's so funny?" I asked as he laughed hysterically.
"Your the first one to actually stand a chance against me in a hundred and seventy five years! Its good to finally have a challenge!" He said and charged me again. I tried to dodge but he hit me in the face, knocking me to the ground again. I stood up, wounded and bleeding. I chuckled and looked at him.
"So Maze, how'd you get your name?" I asked him as i charged him. He blocked all of by attacks and smiled.
"My parents gave me the name because i was always good at creating puzzles and riddles. I was born blind and it was incredibly difficult for me to do but somehow i did it." He said and i blocked a few attacks.
"You fight well for a blind man! Whats your secret?" I asked and returned the attacks.
"Years and years of practice boy!" He said and tripped me up. I fell to the ground and he lifted his leg and attempted to smash it down on me but i rolled out of the way and kicked his stomach. He grunted and smiled. "Excellent! Keep it up boy!" He said as i smashed hit after hit into his arms as he blocked. We sat and fought back each others blows one after another for about ten minutes and talking all the while before any real damage was inflicted upon either of us. I had spawned a sword from magic and had begun slashing at him while he used a doubled bladed spear as a weapon made from magic. We both had hundreds of bruises and scratches and several minor and major wounds on our bodies.
"Is that the best you've got?!" I shouted.
"Not even close!" He shouted back and slashed at my arm. I tried to block but failed in my attempt, and in the process, losing my hand as well. I held the wound and fell to my knees in agony. "Give up boy! I've defeated warriors that would make you look like a child with my bare hands!" He said and laughed.
"Then you've obviously never met me before!" I shouted at him.
"What?!" He said before screaming in agony and flying across the room. He landed with a crash and looked up at me. My and stopped bleeding right away as i walked towards him. Then, slowly my hand began to grow back.
"Even as a child i had powers. I am a very gifted individual." I said as my hand fully grew back. "There is no one that can stop me from achieving my goals." I said and let a spearhead grow out from my hand. The skin on the spear retracted, revealing a steel staff with a wicked blade. "Now then, time to finish you off Maze. GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM!" I said and ran the spear through his heart. He howled in pain as i twisted the blade and ripped out his beating heart and smashed it. "Rest in peace, old man." I said as he fell limp and died before fading away like a shadow. The spear disappeared and Celestia's cage opened up. I ran over to help her up as she awoke.
"Ocelot...... What's going on?" She asked as she noticed my injuries.
"Don't worry about me, i'll be fine. Are you alright?" I asked her and sat her down in the throne.
"Yes, i think im fine." She said and tried to stand. She grunted in pain and sat down and let me examine her leg.
"Your legs...... Their broken!" I said and looked at her.
"That explains the lack of feeling..." She said as i looked them over.
"Hmm, this doesn't look to difficult." I said and placed my hand against her leg.
"What are you doing?" She asked me as my hand merged with the skin of her leg and moved the bones into place and fixed them in the blink of an eye. I pulled my hands back and looked at her.
"Go ahead, try and stand up. Slowly now." I said and helped her up. She stood upright and shook her legs a little bit and looked at me.
"What did you do?" She asked me.
"I'll explain later. Right now, lets get you home and in bed." I said and picked her up and carried her through the door next to her cage and outside, then back to Canterlot. I carried her in my arms silently for about five minutes before she said anything.
"Ocelot?" She mumbled.
"Yeah, whats up?" I asked her. She hugged me as i flew through the air.
"Thank you." She said and smiled.
"No problem. I told you i wont let anything happen to you and i meant it." I said and kept flying. After about four more minutes she had fallen asleep on the way back and Canterlot was now in view. I smiled when i saw the city and kept flying for about ten minutes before i got there. I gently and slowly landed on the balcony to her room and walked inside. I laid her down in her bed and pulled the blanket over her and kissed her forehead. I smiled and looked at the broken doors to the balcony. I walked over to them and did the same thing i did to Celestia and fixed them completely. They were back to normal and i looked at my handiwork. I chuckled and sprinted towards a wall and ran up the side of it. I stopped and pushed my legs towards the wall and backflipped through the air and grabbed onto a ceiling fixture and held onto it. I sighed and fell asleep there. A few hours later the moon went down and the sun came up and shined right in my face. I had forgotten where i was sleeping and tried to block it with my hands but ended up falling to the ground with a loud thud.
"What the-. Oh its you Ocelot." Celestia said and walked towards me. "Where did you come from?" She asked and i pointed up at the fixture and rubbed my head. "But how did you come from there?" She asked as i stood up.
"Extreme agility and strength. Watch this." I said and did what i did last night and grabbed and hung from the fixture. She looked astounded as i dropped back to the ground and slowed my decent before landing safely.
"That was amazing! Where did you learn to do that?" She asked me.
"When i was a child i grew up without a family so i had to be quick, agile, strong and resourceful. So i taught myself how to do everything i know. Come on, lets go outside for a little while." I said and opened the door only to reveal a man standing there.
"Ah, Silver Lining. Do you have a message for me?" Celestia asked him.
"No your highness, i have a letter for a one, Ocelot Striker." He said and held it up.
"I am Ocelot Striker." I said and he gave me the letter.
"Very good sir. Have a nice day your majesty." He said with a bow and walked off. I walked to the balcony and read the letter.
"What does it say?" She asked.
"I..... I cant believe it....... Its a letter from my best friends." I said and dropped it.
"Who are they?" She asked me as i looked to the mountain ahead of me. I smiled and pointed at the top where four figures were standing. One of them shouted in a voice so loud all of Canterlot could hear it.
"FORGIVE ME FATHER FOR I KNOW NOT WHAT I'VE DONE!!!!" He shouted as all four of them lunged from the mountain and flew through the air. The plummeted towards us as we stepped back and smashed into the ground in front of us.
"Hello Cole, Ash, Melissa, Jack. How have you all been? Its been so long since i've seen any of you!" I said and hugged them all. Celestia walked forward and they all bowed.
"Good evening princess Celestia. Do you know Ocelot?" Cole asked.
"Yes, Cole, she does. Everyone, this is my girlfriend. Princess Celestia." I said and she waved with a smile as all of their jaws dropped. They just stared for a moment before Melissa stepped forward. She was probably the most normal out of all five of us. She had long, sapphire colored hair and white eyes and bore a strange pair of wings. She shook hands with Celestia and smiled.
"Glad to meet you Princess." She said and stepped back. Ash stepped forward and shook her hand. He had short spiked up black and red hair and grey eyes and had claws.
"A pleasure Princess." He said with a bow and stepped back. Jack stepped forward and bowed instantly. He had long black hair and ruby colored eyes.
"Glad to make your acquaintance." He said and smiled as he stepped back. Cole stepped forward and kneeled. He was the most different of us all as he had medium sized, black and fire orange colored hair with ruby colored dragons eyes. And when he grinned he had fanged teeth and bore a tail and a bizarre set of wings.
"Aah, finally i have a chance to meet you Princess." He said and stood up. Celestia looked at him strangely as he stepped back.
"Alright, i may have some secrets about my friends i need to tell you. All of us except Jack are half-breeds." I said and she looked shocked and confused.
"Half-breeds? What do you mean?" She asked me.
"Well, to begin with, Ash is a half-breed between a human and a wolf." I said and he smiled and showed his fangs and flexed his hands a bit. "Melissa is a half-breed between a human and a very special type of creature. She is half-bred between a human and an angel." I said and her wings expanded. They were a beautiful color of white that shined in the sun and glowed. And when she held still for a short period of time you could see the faint texture of a halo above her head.
"Okay......." Celestia said as i continued to speak.
"Cole is a half-breed between a human and a dragon." I said as he breathed fire into the air and expanded his scale covered wings. He grinned and looked back at her as she looked at me.
"And what are you?" She asked me as i grinned.
"I am a very rare type of half-breed. Even Melissa isn't as rare as i am." I said as the skin on my body began to change color slightly to a dark red and black color. My wings changed and looked similar to a dragons but different. I grew long horns from the sides of my head and a second set of wings. I opened my eyes and they were black as the night sky. I grew claws and small spikes grew from my arms and back. "I am half Demon ." I said in a low, echoing voice and looked at her.
"Y-Your a d-d-demon?" Celestia asked and back up slightly. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?!" She asked me.
"I had every intention of telling you when you woke up. Thats why i wanted to go outside." I told her and approached her. "Does it make me any different to you than i was before?" I asked and looked into her eyes. They were shaking slightly as if she was scared. I put my hands on her shoulders and looked into her eyes. "Do not be afraid. I am far more human than i am demon. I have no intention of doing any harm to anyone." I said as i transformed back to normal. I looked back at my friends and spoke. "So why did you guys come by?" I asked.
"We had an invitation to play a concert here in town and we figured we needed our lead guitarist. Plus we wanted to see our old friend again." Cole said and all four walked into the room.
"Where's the concert at?" I asked him.
"Its in this town over here called Ponyville. Were gonna use the stage in the town square for the concert tonight." Cole told me and stopped walking.
"Well then what are we waiting for? Lets go!" I said as they turned and ran ahead before jumping off the balcony. They disappeared from view and i turned to Celestia.
"Go ahead, go be with them." She said with a sigh. I picked her up and carried her towards the balcony.
"Not even my friends can separate us Celestia." I said and jumped off the balcony. She squeezed against my body and held onto me tightly as we plummeted towards the ground. I opened my wings and covered her with them and smashed into the ground, shattering bits and pieces of the ground itself all over the area. I retracted my wings and stood up as i set down Celestia. She looked up where we were once standing and then back at me.
"That was..... Fun..... Even if it was a bit terrifying." She said as we all started walking towards town. I had realized that the time had gone by much faster than i thought and it was already two in the afternoon by the time we reached Ponyville. We approached the stage, which had been set up with a piano, a drum set, a microphone, a guitar and a bass guitar. A small crowd of people had already started to form when we got onto the stage and got our stuff set up. Celestia had a seat in the back of the crowd where she always sat when she attended things in the town square. She sat and watched as we got ready and set up. Cole approached the microphone and we all stood still.
"Good Evening Ponyville. Tonight we have a very special guest here. Please say hello to Princess Celestia in the back." He said and everyone cheered as she smiled brightly. He chuckled and went back to the introduction. "My name is Cole Alastor. These are my friends, Ocelot Striker, Jack Smith, Ash Force and Melissa Stone. Tonight, were going to be playing two songs, and if you still want more, an encore. We will be playin the songs What I've Done and New Divide by Linkin Park. Everybody ready?!" He shouted and the crowd cheered for us and instantly started growing in size. I smiled and got ready to play as Cole cleared his throat.

He shouted the last words into the microphone and we kept playin for a second then stopped to let the piano take over. It played and then stopped and we all stood up, side by side and bowed. The crowd cheered and shouted for more as we stood back up and looked around. Celestia AND Luna were in the back clapping together and we all bowed again. We got back to our instruments and got ready to play again.
"Thank you! Thank you very much ladies and gentlemen! I'd like to dedicate this next song to my friends who are behind me tonight and my family, who are no longer with us. Rest in peace all of them...... Alright, lets get this party started!!!!" Cole shouted and we started playing music for New Divide. We played until it was time for him to come in and sing and kept on playing.

He shouted those last words into the microphone and stepped back while we finished the song. I hit the last note and looked down for a dramatic effect, which apparently worked. The entire audience was silent as my hand sat up in the air. I looked up and we lined up again for one more bow and the crowd exploded into a roar of cheers and applauds. We looked up with a smile and looked at each other.
"I think they want an encore." Jack said to Cole. Cole grabbed the microphone and spoke to them.
"DO YOU WANT MORE?!" He shouted.
"YES!!!!!" The whole crowd shouted in unison.
"ALRIGHT THEN, LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!!!!" Cole said and put away the microphone, causing some of the crowd to murmur. We put away all of the instruments we had, minus the piano, and pulled out completely new ones. We still had a guitar but now we had a violin, a cello, and some drums. We got setup and Cole stood at the front with his violin and looked over the crowd. "This is a song i knew as a child. Its called 'Lunar Eclipse'. I hope you enjoy it as much as we all did." Cole said and started playing.

Three and a half minutes later, when the song was over, we stood together and kneeled.
"We chose this song in your honor, Princess's. We hope you enjoyed our performance. Thank you all and good night." I said as we all walked off the stage as everyone cheered. and clapped for us. We waved as we walked through the crowd. We were forced to sign some things for quite a few of them but made it to Celestia and her sister. Twilight and her friends were also standing with them. I smiled and hugged Celestia then looked at Twilight's confused expression. I chuckled and looked back at Celestia. "So, did you enjoy our performance sweetie?" I asked and kissed her.
"Of course i did Ocelot. It was amazing." She said and looked at Twilight and her friends.
"Uuh, princess what was that?" Dash asked.
"What? Didn't he tell you were dating?" Celestia asked.
"I told Twilight, but apparently she didn't tell the others." I said and chuckled.
"So how have you two been?" Twilight asked.
"We couldn't be better. And honestly, i haven't been this happy since Luna came home." Celestia said and smiled at her sister. "Ocelot says he's going to stay with me forever." She said and hugged me.
"What do you mean? Can't he-" I stopped her and put a finger to her lips.
"Just wait a second Twilight. I have something to show you." I said and snapped. We were instanly inside of Celestia's bedroom and all four of my friends and i were in our human form. "We have given ourselves the name 'The Half-Breeds'." I said as Twilight scratched the back of her neck.
"And why's that?" She asked. I grinned and looked at ash.
"Four of us five have half human blood and half something else. Ash, go ahead and show them." I said and we all moved away from him. He shrugged and grew about six inches taller and got really hairy as well as growing claws and a long tail. He howled at the ceiling and smiled at us.
"I am the half-breed wolf of the group." He said and backed up.
"Cole, your up next." I said as he stood in the middle of us all. He grew three inches and grew a tail and scales over his whole body. His wings also became scaled around certain parts and see through in the others. He grew sharp teeth and dragons eyes before roaring at the ceiling.
"I am the half-breed dragon of the group." He said and stepped back and let Melissa take his place. Her skin grew lighter and her wings turned white and she bagan to glow.
"I am the half-breed angel of the group." She said and backed up.
"And what are you?" Everyone asked Jack.
"Im the only human in the group." He said and backed up. They all looked at me as i took Melissa's place.
"Only human? What does he mean?" Luna asked.
"You won't like my half-breed form." I said and closed my eyes and crossed my arms. My skin became blackish red and i grew a foot in height and grew a second pair of wings that became as big as my old ones while my old ones grew twice in size. I grew long, curved horns from my head and claws, as well as spikes all over my arms and back. I lowered my hands and opened my eyes as everyone but my friends and Celestia backed up. "I am the half-breed Demon." I said and expanded both of my wings outward. They nearly reached both walls together before i retracted them and smiled.
"You..... Your a....." Twilight said and i finished her sentence for her.
"Demon? Yes, yes i am. I hope that doesn't change your opinion of me." I said with a questioning tone. Twilight looked at her friends before responding.
"When did this happen?" She asked me.
"I am a half-breed. I was born this way. We were all born this way. We hide it from the world because we are powerful and the world fears power." I said and made a fist. I sighed and looked around for a moment.
"So, you've always been like this?" Twilight asked.
"Well, im not like real demons. I love to read, exercise and help others. But there is nothing i love more than Celestia." I said and became human again and hugged her.
"I can see that very clearly. So these are your friends?" Twilight asked. They stepped forward, changed to human and bowed to them. They introduced themselves one by one. Cole stepped forward and kissed Dash's hand and introduced himself.
"My name is Cole. I am Ocelot's oldest friend and a half-breed dragon. I am honored to stand in your presence." He said and bowed. Ash stepped forward and kissed AJ's hand then introduced himself.
"My name is Ash. I am One of Ocelots closest friends and a half-breed wolf." He said and bowed as Jack stepped forward. He kissed Fluttershy's hand and introduced himself.
"My name is Jack. I am Ocelots friend and am the only human of our group." He said and bowed as Melissa walked forward. She bowed and introduced herself.
"And i am Melissa. I am Ocelots only girl friend and am a half-breed angel." She said and bowed again. She stepped back and i took her place.
"I don't believe we've been properly introduced. My name, is Ocelot Striker. I am the oldest living human in this entire world. I have a secret library a hundred feet below my home with knowledge that is centuries old locked inside. I love to work out and help and protect those close to me. I love Princess Celestia and would rather die than see harm come to her. I demonstrated this last night." I said and bowed.
"What do you mean Demonstrated?" Dash asked.
"Good, people don't know yet. Tell NO ONE of this. Celestia was kidnapped by someone named Maze and i had to fight off three brutal creatures before i could get to him and kill him to free her. The creatures were easy, he wasn't. He posed the greatest challenge to me i have every faced in all my life. I have lived for five hundred years and have never faced anyone quite so strong. But, like anyone else i have ever faced, he fell before me and died at my hand. I freed Celestia and brought her home before anyone even knew she was gone and fixed everything to look perfect in the morning then slept on the ceiling." I said with a chuckle.
"Amazing..... Now, what was that about a secret library?" Luna asked.
"Aah, yes. Right this way your highness. Come along everyone, we mustn't be late home or Corrosion will be furious." I said and began walking, followed by my four friends and the other eight new ones. We reached my home and i unlocked the door and let everyone in before closing it. "Corrosion, im home!" I called out and heard a knock at the door. I opened it and saw a purple dragon panting on the steps. "And who might you be?" I asked him.
"Im..... Spike. I saw Twilight come here and needed to......" He stopped and i turned to see Corrosion walk down the stairs.
"Ah, there you are. Everyone this is Corrosion. Come on in Spike." I said and opened the door for him as he walked in and sat next to Twilight. "This is my pet dragon but i dont think of her like that. She's family to me and always will be. I treat her like a daughter most of the time but i think she enjoys it." I said with a chuckle.
"Hello Corrosion." Everyone but Spike said.
"Hey." She replied.
"So Spike, what did you need from Twilight?...... Spike?" I said and waved a hand in front of his face and he shook his head.
"W-What? Oh right, i came to check on Twilight. You know, she where she was, what she was doing. That kind of thing." He said with a weak grin and a chuckle. I smiled with a shake of my head.
"Corrosion, why don't you talk to them for a moment." I said and motioned for Spike to follow me. He gulped and stood up nervously as i walked upstairs. Corrosion sat down in his seat and began talking to Twilight and her friends as Spike walked up the stairs. I sat down in a chair and he sat down on the bed.
"S-So what's up?" He asked nervously. I chuckled and smiled.
"There's no need to be nervous Spike, your not in trouble." I said and he sighed.
"Then why am i up here?" He asked and i leaned forward.
"I wanted to talk to you about Corrosion." I said in a low voice causing him to gulp again.
"W-What do you mean?" He asked and looked side to side.
"I saw you staring at her a moment ago." I said and he scooted back slightly but i pulled him back towards me with my demon tail.
"Woah, dude whats th-" He stopped and saw i had become something much bigger in the dark of the room. I turned on a light so he could see me and he yelped. "What the hell?!" He said and i chuckled.
"Im a half-breed demon. Im sure you believe in half-breeds right? Well listen, i saw you looking at Corrosion the way you did earlier and i recognized the look immediately." I said and he got confused.
"You did? From where?" He asked.
"It was the same look i gave Celestia when i first met her. And now look where we are. Dating." I said and leaned back.
"Wait, your dating the Princess?" He asked.
"Indeed i am Spike. So i wanted to talk to you about Corrosion." I said and leaned forward again.
"Well what about her?" He asked.
"What do you think of her?" I asked in a low tone.
"What do you mean? I dont even know her." He said and i laughed.
"I barely know Celestia and im dating her. I dont want to know about her, i want to know what you think of her." i said and sat next to him.
"Well....... I.... Uuh....." He kept stuttering and i laughed.
"No need to be nervous Spike. I won't be angry what you think of her. I just want to know before you two get together." I said and laughed again. His expression changed to shocked and shot to me.
"What?!" He half shouted.
"Oh don't act like you dont like her Spike." I said and laughed. He laughed and smiled as well before speaking.
"Well i guess i couldn't say i don't." He said and i chuckled.
"Alright then, what can you say?" I asked him.
"Well i guess i can say she's pretty. She's the only girl dragon i've ever met so i wouldn't know what to expect." He said.
"Im not asking form personal experience, i just want to know what you think of her." I said and sat next to him. He sighed and inhaled.
"Well, she's beautiful. I really like her but i don't know if she'll feel the same. I'd do anything to make her happy." He said and looked at my now human and smiling form.
"Thats all i need to hear. Also, just remember, i am technically her father. Alright, come on Spike." I said and opened the door and began walking downstairs with him. We walked back into the room while Everyone watched intently as Dash told a joke. I missed the punch line so i just sat down next to Celestia while Spike hopped up next to Corrosion.
"Alright, were back." I said.
"What was that about?" Twilight asked.
"I just wanted to talk to Spike about something. Thats all." I said and they all shrugged.
"Well thats fine." Twilight said with a smile.
"Well i guess i should show you all why we came here then." I said and walked over to the bookshelf. I found the red blank cover book and pulled as the shelf went back and to the right and we all walked down the stairs. We entered the library and everyone but me and Celestia gasped.
"What is this place?" Twilight asked.
"This is the Arcane Sanctuary of Endless Knowledge. Or, as i named it when i built it, The Arcanum Acknowlagia. Welcome to my library." I said and picked up a piece of paper. "Shall i demonstrate some of the ancient knowledge lat lies within these walls?" I asked and looked around.
"Please do." Twilight said and then looked confused. "Wait, how can you use magic?" She asked me.
"Watch." Celestia said as i ripped the paper in half and crumpled it in my hands. I pressed them together until they smoked and then revealed two fireballs.
"View the magic of the pegasi." I said and threw them into the air and let them float there. I blew into my hand and then threw it at the fire and it became a blizzard and extinguished the flames and made it snow. It snowed for a minute before anyone moved.
"How did you do that?" She asked.
"The magic of the pegasi. All three races can use magic, just differently than others." I said and placed a barrier over all of the bookshelves and turned to a gold statue in the center of the room. Celestia stepped forward and stood next to me.
"Who was he?" She asked.
"My father. I still carry his blade today." I said and picked up the sword from in front of the statue. I turned to Luna and handed it to her. "Here, look at this." I said and she looked it over. Everyone stepped back slightly.
"Amazing, this sword is absolutely incredible!" She said and unsheathed it and swung it around slowly a few times. I chuckled and then my eyes shot open as i heard a noise. I looked around for anything and shot my view back to Luna.
"Ocelot whats wrong?" Cole asked me as i gasped.
"Luna...... RUN!" I said and dived for her. But i was too late, the thing i saw behind her had taken hold of her and was now retreating outside. "NO!!!!!!" I said and flew up the stairs, followed by Celestia and my friends. We reached outside and looked into the sky.
"LUNA!!!" Celestia called out.
"Oh no...... Were too late......" I said as the sun disappeared and the moon came up. A black sphere floated close to the ground and a voice came from it.
"Let the never ending night......... BEGIN!!!!" The voice said as the black cloud turned dark blue with white spots and revealed the tall figure of Nightmare Moon. She laughed maniacally into the air and then looked back at us. "Whats wrong everyone? Aren't you happy to see me?" She asked and laughed again.
"Hello Nightmare....... Its been a long time....." I said and realized she still had my sword in her hands.
"Aah, if it isn't my old friend Ocelot Striker. How have you been? I've been waiting for you all this time." She said and took a step forward. We all backed up and all but me gasped as she threw the sword and launched me onto the ground with it jammed in my chest. I lay there, motionless and limp for a minute while i could hear the screams of my friends around me. My fingers twitched and made a fist.
"Princess Look!" Twilight said as my eyes shot open. My world blurred as i slowly started to stand up, blood pouring from my back as i did so. I slid up the blade towards the handle. I reached the base of the blade and met the side hilts and slid right over them. I stood up and fell forward and coughed up blood. No one dared to move a muscle as i stood up halfway. I grinned and spun around to grab the sword. Little areas of the blade began to glow with heat as i picked it up. I held it to the sky and the blade burst into flame and fired into the sky. I held the sword there for a second as my body changed form into the demon that i am until i lowered the blade.
"Ocelot...... Are..... Are you o-" I cut off Celestia with a nod of the head as i spoke.
"You think you can defeat me, just like that?" I asked Nightmare as i slowly approached her.
"Of course not Ocelot. I know you all too well for that. I was simply testing your capabilities before i tell you something." She said and grinned as we began to circle one another.
"And what is that?" I asked with the sword raised and pointed at her.
"I will end the night on one condition." She said and stopped walking. I held my sword in both hands and it lit up, blinding me completely. I screamed and dropped the sword and fell to my knees. I looked up at Nightmare but half of my vision was white while the other was visible. I held a hand over my right eye and looked at her. She looked terrified.
"What...... Happened to me?" I asked and tried to look around with my, now white, right eye.
"Ocelot are you okay?" Twilight asked as i waved a hand in front of my eye.
"IM BLIND!!!!" I shouted. I looked at the sword and saw it begin to change shape. It transformed from a samurai sword into a four foot handle with a blade the same size on the edge of it. I used my magic to cover my right eye with an eyepatch and stood up. I gripped the blade and it glowed again. I closed my eyes and squeezed the sword and the glow turned black. It began to let off a crimson red aura from the blade as i held it and i pulled it back and the blades on it shifted around and became a large, doubled headed spear. I grabbed the bottom and the middle of the handle and the blades shifted again to become a very large scythe. I looked it up and down with a grin and threw it high into the air. Everyone watched it as it came crashing down blade first to the ground and ripped a hole in the ground.
"Ocelot, what is that thing?" Celestia asked.
"The blade of the demon general. The blade, of Death. I now wield Death's Scythe!" I said and pulled it from the ground as it turned back into a sword. "Now then, Nightmare, what do you have to say for yourself?" I asked and slowly approached her. She had terror in her eyes as she backed away. "I said TALK!!!" I shouted and smashed the blade to the ground in front of her. She screamed and fell onto her back in tears. I now stood towering over her holding the blade. I looked into her eyes with anger, resentment and fury. But all of that disappeared entirely when i noticed something Nightmare had never shown before. True Fear. I turned back into a human and the blade turned back to normal as well and i kneeled next to her. She squeezed her eyes shut and looked away from me, crying in fear. I ran my hand across her cheek and looked at her with sorrow. "Shh..... Calm down." I said and she looked at me. She sniffled and sat up before speaking.
"I was..... Trying to tell you i cannot lower the moon. I can try and try but it will not listen. Someone else is controlling it and you must find out who so that i can lower it. But i will only do so on one condition. If that isn't too much to ask from my old friend?" She asked and smiled weakly.
"That all depends on what this favor is of course." I said gently as she sat upright.
"I wish to ask that after the moon is lowered that i could remain in this body, so long as i give control back over to Luna. In exchange for my control to be given every full moon." She said as i put a hand on her shoulder. She whimpered and pulled her head away.
"Its alright, i will see what i can do." I said with a gentle smile. She smiled weakly and sniffled before i helped her stand up. I walked next to her until we reached the others. Some of them bore angry expressions, others confused and others were scared. I held up a hand and closed my eyes.
"Ocelot what are-" I cut off Twilight with my voice.
"Please, do not fear her. Do not hate her. For she was never attempting to harm anyone. Her past is long, unforgiving and confused. She only wishes to remain here and to find the one who is now controlling the moon and get rid of them." I said and lowered my hand.
"Dont tell me you actually believe her?!" Dash shouted.
"I do believe her. Unlike you all i can tell when someone is lying and when someone means what they say. Everything she has told me is the truth and i know this for a fact. She never was a very good lier." I said and chuckled.
"How can you be sure?" Celestia asked me.
"Celestia, please, i can be no more sure that she is true to her words than i am sure that i love you. If that is not enough for you all then there is nothing i can do for you." I said and she stepped back a bit.
"I am sorry Ocelot, you know not what she has done. It is-" I waved my hand and she stopped talking.
"I know far more than you could possibly imagine Celestia. I have seen what Nightmare can do and i fear her. But i also feel that she does not deserve to be feared." I said and looked at her. "She only wanted to be loved and accepted." I said and she sighed.
"Ocelot, what are you talking about?" Celestia asked me.
"When Nightmare Moon was born, how had Luna been acting Celestia?" I asked calmly.
"She was acting upset and bratty, why?" She asked me.
"Because she was upset. She thought no one appreciated her beautiful nights and she thought no one liked her. Everyone was scared of her and some even thought that she would steal their souls from them in the night. This is the reason she was treated like an outcast from everyone accept for one person......... You." I said and looked at Celestia again. Her eyes shrank back as it all clicked in her mind.
"I........... It was all my fault..... Wasn't it?" She asked and fell to her knees.
"Princess whats wrong?" Twilight asked.
"It was all my fault....... I allowed Luna to feel abandoned and alone. I let her feel unwanted and unloved. Nightmare Moon is part of this world because of me......... I lost my sister because of my own ignorance....." She said and began crying. Twilight kneeled down next to her and everyone approached her as i sat in front of her. I raised her chin to meet my face and looked her in the eyes.
"You cannot dwell on the past, even if you just realize something you hadn't so long ago. No one should be allowed to dwell on the past and all past mistakes, great and small, should be forgiven. No matter what. Because a world without forgiveness or compassion is nothing more than a war without fighters......... Nothing." I said and stood up. "So, can you accept her for who she is and give her one final chance?" I asked as Nightmare stepped forward. Everyone looked at each other silently until Celestia broke it. She stood up and walked towards Nightmare and hugged her tightly.
"I can....... You may be a creation of her anger and resentment but you are still my sister." She said as Nightmare returned it. Everyone stepped forward with a weak smile on their faces as the two looked at them.
"I forgive you." Twilight said.
"Me too." Dash said.
"I can as well." Rarity said.
"No harm done" AJ said.
"Im sorry" Fluttershy said.
"We forgive you." My four friends said and everyone looked at me. I kneeled in front of her and bowed my head.
"You have my eternal forgiveness." I said to her and held a fist to the right side of my chest.
"Welcome home." Celestia said and hugged her again.
"Im........ Im home." She said and began to cry weakly. I looked at her and put a hand on her shoulder.
"What wrong?" I asked her and she smiled.
"Its...... Its just that i've never had a real home before. During my time on this earth all i could even call home was Luna's body." She said and wiped a tear from her eye.
"Well, your home now and you always will be." I said and hugged her. We separated and i looked up into the sky.
"What is it Ocelot?" Celestia asked. I waved a hand and my four friends came over.
"My friends, i have an idea that might allow us to find the one controlling the moon." I said and looked at them.
"What is it Ocelot?" Cole asked me.
"The arena competition tomorrow. We can all enter guys and we'll be able to look around the crowds during the intermissions. All four of us will enter and fight in the arena and hopefully we'll be able to find this person." I said and smiled.
"And what about me?" Melissa asked.
"You'll sit in the stands with the Princess's. You three will attend and sit in the royalty booth together while we fight off the things in the arena. And once were all done we can split the prize between us all or just give it to something that needs it." I explained and everyone understood. "Alright, Twilight, you and your friends will sit in the crowd in different areas so you can each search the arena stands while me, Jack, Cole, and Ash fight in the arena. Melissa, Celestia and Nightmare will sit in the royalty booth and search as well." I said and stopped because Twilight was going to say something.
"About that. How will we disguise Nightmare?" She asked me.
"Let me handle that." Nightmare said and closed her eyes and transformed into Lunas body. "Im still in control seeing as the moon won't go down and its a full moon. I know that the arena will have lights all over it so you can see in the darkness. Now come on, we should all get home and get some rest." She said and everyone agreed.
"What about us?" My four friends asked.
"Celestia, do you have anywhere they could stay in the castle?" I asked.
"Hmm, they could use the guest rooms. No one ever stays in the castle but its always kept clean so feel free." She said with a smile.
"Alright good, good. Now then, everyone go home and get some rest and make sure that your at the arena by seven forty five." I said as my friends, Celestia, Nightmare and i flew up to the castle. I had Corrosion and Spike on my back as we flew. I chuckled to myself as they sat together looking up at the stars. "Hey Celestia watch this." I whispered to her and tilted my head up at the two. She chuckled and nodded her head.
"Go for it." She whispered to me. I chuckled and looked up at them.
"Hey you two!" I shouted and they both screamed in surprise. "Having a good time?" I asked and laughed out loud. held a hand to my face and kept on laughing and laughing before i calmed down. "Im...... Im sorry, i just couldn't resist doing that." I said and they both growled.
"Not funny dad." Corrosion said.
"Yes it was and you know it." I said and laughed a little bit more. Spike and Corrosion looked over to Celestia for help but she was laughing too.
"That was really funny. I have to admit, he asked me if he should and i said go for it. I just wanted to see your reactions is all." She said and chuckled.
"Dont worry you two, you can have all the alone time you want when we get to the castle." I joked and i could feel them both tense up a bit, causing me to laugh even more. They both growled again and i threw them both up into the air and flipped over and they landed on my stomach.
"Dude, seriously, not cool." Spike said angrily.
"Spike Chill. Im just screwin' around. Hey, wanna know what its like to divebomb the ground?" I asked them and looked over at Celestia. She smiled and shook her head.
"Uum, what do you mean?" Spike asked as Corrosion looked at me confused. I changed into my demon form and grew the wings.
"Hang on you two lovebirds!" I shouted and wrapped my wings around them both and started shooting towards the ground. All i could hear was their screams as we shot towards the ground. I laughed hysterically as we neared the ground and i wrapped my arms, legs and tail around them and smashed into the ground and created a crater. They sat on my stomach, panting and holding onto each other staring at me.
"What....... The....... Fuck....." Spike said between pants. I turned back to my human form and let them down and stood up. I cracked every bone in my body just by moving around and a grunted at the feeling.
"Man..... That felt GREAT!! I haven't done a real divebomb in years!" I said and backflipped. I laughed and looked at the two, who were still clinging to each other. "So, what do you two think? Was that awesome or what?" I asked as they realized what they were doing and moved away from each other with a blush.
"That was the most terrifying thing i have ever experienced in my entire life." They both said in unison. I laughed and picked them both up and started flying. I put them on my back and went silent.
"So how do you two like each other?" I finally asked.
"Uum......" They both said and scratched their necks. I chuckled and looked over my shoulder at them.
"I guess i'll let you two be for now." I said with a chuckle and kept flying for about four minutes until we got to Canterlot and landed.
"Thanks for the ride Ocelot." Spike said to me.
"No problem, now go ahead and hang out in the castle. Just stay inside for the night." I said and walked off. When i reached the hallway leading to the throne room i stopped and looked around. I lifted my hand and a red sphere materialized upwards from it. It turned into a machine of some sort and i pressed some buttons on it and snapped. It became invisible and flew off and followed Spike and Corrosion. "Thats a good drone....." I smiled and walked off towards Celestia's bedroom. On my way up i looked to my right and saw a hallway with Nightmare standing on the balcony at the end. I sighed and walked over to her. I gently placed a hand on her shoulder and caused her to jump slightly.
"Oh, Ocelot, its you." She said and looked out over the city.
"What's on your mind Moon?" I asked her and leaned on the balcony. She sighed before looking at me and talking.
"Im just thinking about what is running through the minds of Twilight and her friends about me." She said and looked down.
"Nightmare, you dont need to worry about that. Im sure they were sincere in their apologies." I said and smiled as she looked at me.
"But how can you be? How can you know if they really forgive me?" She asked and i sighed.
"Nightmare...... Just watch." I said and placed a hand on her shoulder. The world flashed and we became see through. She waved a hand in front of her face and looked at herself.
"What is this?" She asked.
"This is the thought watcher. It allows one to see into another's mind and read their thoughts. This will allow you and i both to know what their really thinking. Come on, lets go to Twilight's first." I said and walked through the wall and plummeted to the ground. She did the same and dropped to the ground next to me and i smiled.
"That was exhilarating." She said and we began to fly towards the Ponyville Library. I walked through the wall and into her room, followed by Nightmare. I stood next to Twilight with Nightmare next to me.
"Place your hand on her forehead." I said and stepped back. She inhaled and did as i told her to and sat there for a moment before pulling her hand back.
"She....... She really does forgive me...." She said and smiled.
"See? I told you. Now, do you want to go to the others houses or what?" I asked her.
"No, no i think im fine." She said and a light flashed and we were standing on the balcony in the castle.
"Well, you should get some rest. I'll see you in the morning." I said and kissed her cheek before walking off to Celestia's bedroom. I reached the room and knocked on the door.
"Come in." I heard her say and opened the door and walked in. I closed the door and walked over to the bed and laid down next to her. She was reading a book i couldn't quite see the name of in the darkness.
"Hey Celestia, what are you reading?" I asked her and saw her close it and put it in her drawer.
"Nothing important. Now, try and get some rest." She said and kissed me and went to sleep. I smiled and followed suit and went to sleep. We had a big day tomorrow after all.
Chapter 3: The Nightmare Begins
It was a horrid sight. Bodies and parts of such things laying everywhere. Blood and gore at every turn. Nothing was the way it used to be. This was war, a war between me and him. The man behind it all. Jack Of Blades. He had claimed to be helping me when Celestia was kidnapped, but the truth is, he was behind that too. This is my war now. All my friends are dead. Twilight and Rainbow dash are the only two left of the six and my lust for revenge has carried me to this.
"GO, GO, GO!! WE'VE GOTTA GET THEM OUTTA-" The man shouted but was cut off by the loss of his head. I carried Death's Scythe in my hands, now bloodied from this war.
"Whats wrong? Afraid of DEATH?!" I howled before charging the other soldiers. Then my world flashed and i was standing atop Canterlot Tower looking over all of Equestria. The entire country lay in ruins. Buildings burning, People dieing, War ravaging this once peaceful land. And its all my fault. I stand over the defeated bodies of my closest friends holding Celestia in my arms.
"Dante........ Goodbye...." She whispered to me and died in my arms. I stood there crying onto her dead body before i spoke.
"No................ NO!!!!!!!!!!!!" I said and fired myself into the air. I flew so high into the air i could see all of Equestria as if they were ants. "HEAD MY WORDS OH GREAT POWERS OF DARKNESS!!!! I SACRIFICE MY POWER TO SAVE THIS ONCE PEACEFUL WORLD!!!! HEAR MY CALL AND TAKE MY LIFE FORCE, AND SPREAD IT ALL ACROSS THESE LANDS!!!! TAKE MY LIFE AND GIVE THEM THEIRS!!!!!!!!!!!" I howled into the sky before a blinding light appeared and i was gone, but everything else was returned to normal.
"NO!!!!" I shot up in bed and howled through Canterlot so loud it shook the city with its force. I also woke Celestia from her slumber as well.
"Ocelot, whats wrong?" She asked me and rubbed her eyes. I grabbed my chest and gasped repeatedly.
"Oh....... Thank the heavens it was only a dream........ Oh thank Celestia it was only that." I said and fell back and kept gasping.
"Ocelot, what is the matter?" She asked again.
"I had a horrifying nightmare. Everything was...... Everyone was....... I cant say it....." I said and shook my head.
"Ocelot, please tell me." She said and i looked at her.
"Watch." I said and placed my hands on the sides of her head. I showed her everything i saw in my dream and she pulled away from me in horror. She had terror in her eyes as she looked at me.
"What did i just witness?!" She half shouted.
"It was all my fault. I was unable to save you from him and he took you away from me. I went into a rage that destroyed the entire country and i wanted nothing less than to kill him. But in the end, i became what i wanted to destroy the most. I became Jack Of Blades......"I said and looked down. I sat there and thought to myself what i had just showed her and realized i had to stop it all before it happened.
"What do you mean?" She asked me and i returned to attention.
"I have to stop it all. I need to find him and stop him before he can take you away." I said and stood up and walked out of the room. I walked down the hallway and reached a set of stairs and began walking down them. It was four in the morning and i walked into the throne room and saw a group of guards at the door.
"Sir please!" One guard shouted.
"What is going on here?" I asked and walked over. I pushed them apart and saw who they were detaining.
"Ocelot! Oh thank Celestia your here!" The form of Cole said and tried to pull away from the guards once more. I grabbed the guards and pushed them back and walked into the throne room with him.
"Sir you two cant be in here!" A guard shouted and grabbed my arm. I pulled away from him and equipped my sword.
"Whos going to make us leave?" I asked and raised it.
"Sir please do not make us use force." A guard said and they all drew their weapons.
"Cole, get behind me. Things are about to get ugly." I said and he was already there. I changed into my demon form and my blade followed. It shifted shape and turned into a scythe. I held it up at them and grinned. "Come on, try and stop me!" I shouted at them. They backed away slowly but kept their weapons raised.
"What are you?!" A few guards asked me.
"Death, a demon, Celestia's boyfriend. Lots of things. Call me what you may." I said and lowered the scythe. They all sheathed their weapons and bowed.
"Our apologies sir." A few of them said and backed out of the room. I grinned and changed back to normal and turned to see Celestia walk down the stairs.
"What was that all about Ocelot?" She asked and sat down.
"The guards were holding my friend and i let him in. They tried to get me to leave so i pulled rank on them. They apologized and left before i had to get violent." I said and shrugged. Celestia shook her head.
"Please, try and contain your anger. Please?" She asked.
"You know i try Celestia. Now then, Cole, what is it?" I asked him and he looked at me.
"I came to get you for the arena. It starts in half an hour." He said and my eyes shrank back.
"Well then lets go! Celestia, Cole, head to the arena. Im going to go check on Nightmare." I said and sprinted up the stairs. I spun a corner and knocked on Luna's bedroom door.
"Come in." I heard her say and opened the door. I saw her sitting in front of a mirror looking at herself.
"Whats wrong?" I asked and stood next to her. She gasped and looked at my reflection then looked at me.
"What is that?" She asked and pointed at it.
"Oh...... Damn it, i thought the spell i used for that wouldn't wear off." I said and snapped.
"What spell?" She asked and looked at my reflection again. I was wearing a long black robe the swirled around my feet and my face was un-seeable. I had a slight black mist coming off of my body and had a very large black and red scythe on my back and i was apparently in my demon form as well.
"Well now that you know i guess i should tell you. When my father died he passed down this weapon to me and gave me a title. He said to me that i had to take his place in the world. He told me that i had to end the lives of the dead. He told me i had to become death. He also gave me his weapon as a sign of my authority over the demon army, therefor, crowning me king of the demon army." I said and pulled out my katana. I changed into my true demon form and looked exactly like the reflection. I pulled back my hood and showed her my face and sighed.
"Why didn't you tell anyone?" She asked me.
"Really Nightmare? Im DEATH. No one wants to be friends with someone who can kill them in seconds without even trying." I said and changed back. "Now come on, the arena competition starts in a half hour." I said and walked to the balcony and flew off. She was soon to follow behind me as we landed at the main gate along with my four friends, Twilight and her friends and Celestia.
"Good morning princess's. Are these people with you?" A guard at the door asked.
"Yes they are. These four are competitors though." Celestia said and pointed to me, Cole, Ash and Jack. The guard nodded and opened the door on the right for Celestia and the others while he opened the left door for me and the other three with me. We walked into the arena and the door shut behind us as another guard gave us a sheet to sign.
"Are you each fighting separately or as a group?" He asked and we each signed in.
"As a group." I told him and he nodded before pointing us to a door at the end of a hallway. We walked down and through it and into the barracks. There were about four other people training with weapons on dummies and targets. There was a ring shaped stall in the center of the room with a man standing there. I approached him and tapped the counter.
"How can i help you sir?" He asked me.
"What is this thing?" I asked him and motioned to the stand.
"The before battle shop. You can buy weapons, armor, shields and all sorts of other things before you head in." He said and smiled.
"Hey guys come here." I said and my friends walked over. "You guys should get a weapon or two for the battles. Buy anything, i'll pay." I said and stepped back. Cole found a large two-handed sword with an engraving on it and showed it to me.
"Check this out!" He said and handed it to me. I held it with one hand and read it.
"Never give up, without a fight." I said and nodded before handing it back to him. "Go ahead and get it. Take this." I said and handed him a bag with about four hundred bits in it. Ash came to me next with a long sword that had the edges coated in obsidian. It also had an engraving on it.
"How about this?" He asked and gave it to me.
"Always remain true to the cause." I said and handed it back to him with a bag of about three hundred and fifty bits. Jack came to me with a seemingly simple sword on a sheath that had a gold trim and a ruby attached to the base of it. I unsheathed the weapon to reveal a twin set of short swords with an engraving for each. "Nothing is True. Everything is Permitted." They said and they were edged with what appeared to be some sort of gem. It looked to be amethyst, one of the strongest gemstone types. I handed it back to him as well as a bag of money filled with about seven hundred and fifty bits. I smiled and nodded as the payed for the weapons. They came back to me with them unsheathed and smiled.
"Hey Ocelot, wanna train with us?" Cole asked as Jack shook his head.
"No, no dude, first we need armor." He said and i laughed.
"Dont worry, i got you covered. Literally." I said and activated a spell and all four of us were each wearing a full black set of armor with an image of something on the chest plate. Jacks had a man and a sword, Ash's had a wolf with armor, Cole's had a dragon with armor and mine had a large, red, horned man with armor and a scythe.
"Woah..... This is awesome!" They said and looked at me.
"Glad you think so. Now then, lets begin. All three of you against me. Lets go." I said and drew my sword and raised it to them. After about ten minutes of training lightly we had been called up for combat. We approached the gate leading into the arena battleground and opened the door. We waved to everyone in the audience as the gate lowered and we walked into the circle. There had to be at least seven thousand people watching us. I saw Melissa in the booth with Nightmare, who was in Luna's form, and Celestia waving at me. I nodded and drew my sword, as did my friends.
"Ladies and gentlemen! Tonight, we have a very special competitor in the ring. Please help me welcome, the boyfriend of Princess Celestia, Ocelot Striker!!!!" The intercom said and everyone screamed and cheered for me and my friends as we waved. "Now then, let the arena competition begin! Now, round one, please put your hands together for the wolf horde!" The announcer said and we raised our swords as a large horde of wolves came sprinting towards us. A relatively large wolf stayed back and howled into the moon filled sky and then charged me directly. I narrowly dodged it and got bitten in the leg by another.
"Get the hell off me!" I screamed and decapitated it as well as several other wolves that charged me. The large wolf howled again and charged me. I grinned and hit it with a bolt of lightning in the chest and then cut it's head off. I watched as my friends finished off the last of the wolves and walk next to me.
"Alright folks, they made it through round one. Now lets give them more of a challenge! Please welcome, the Lupus army!" The announcer said and my friends eye's shrank back/
"D-Did he just say..... Lupus?!" Jack asked and we turned to face a horde of abnormal wolf-like creatures looking hungrily at us.
"I guess so!" I said and charged them all. "Leave them to me!" I said and shifted forms into my demon form and jumped into the air and drew my sword. I howled to the sky and smashed it to the ground in front of me and blasted them all back. They landed and stood up as my sword changed form and they all whimpered and backed away. Even the Lupus Major's were afraid of me.
"Ocelot what are you doing?!" Cole shouted as i approached them.
"Whatever i must." I said and spun around and swung the blade in a circle at the Lupus' and threw the sword at them. It curved in a circle shape and killed them all before coming back like a boomerang. I caught it and changed back to human and bowed.
"ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! It appears that Ocelot Striker has defeated all of the Lupus minor and major's ALL ON HIS OWN!" The announcer shouted and everyone roared with joy and cheers. I waved and bowed as the next round began. A very large group of small dragons climbed out of the gate that opened and came at us.
"I'll handle this one." Cole said and shifted form into his dragon shape. He approached them and they all stopped to look at them. He said a few things to them in dragon and they all just backed away for a second before charging him. They pinned him to the ground and started attacking him as i charged them with my friends at my side. We brutally ripped the dragons apart in battle before the announcer came on.
"That was AMAZING! But how long can they hold out against the next round? Now, Round four, Lets hear it for..... The Warriors of the Southern Raiders!!!!!" He shouted into the speaker and a gate opened. From behind it emerged a small army of soldiers, armed with swords and shields and armor. They ran towards us and attacked fiercely. We cut them down, one by one, until there was no one left. We were severely wounded from the battle and i healed each one of us with a spell.
"You guys okay?" Cole asked.
"Yeah.... I think were good." Ash said as the announcer came on.
"How much more do you think they can take?! And now, Round five, Give it up for the Ursa MAJOR!" The announcer howled as a large gate opened.
"U-U-Ursa....... major?!" Jack said and he was apparently scared shitless. Not literally of course but we were all terrified as the beast emerged from the gate and howled at us. I smiled as we all shifted forms into half-breed shape and charged it. I attacked its legs and cut them apart, causing it to fall down and stay there shortly. Jack attacked its back while Cole and Ash attacked its face. After about ten minutes of brutal, strategic combat it fell and died. It was surrounded by a magical aura and disappeared as the announcer came on.
"ABSOLUTELY ASTOUNDING!!! These three have bested an Ursa Major in combat! But now, Round Six, The final battle. Let them fight EACH OTHER!!!!!" He howled and we looked at each other.
"What do they think their doing? They cant do this!" Jack said.
"Calm down Jack, we'll find a way through this." Cole said.
"Any ideas Ocelot?" Ash asked me.
"Just one. We fight until we drop and whoever is left standing is the winner. Alright? NO ONE kills anyone you got that?" I asked and held out my hand. "For the half-breeds?" I said as they placed their hands on mine.
"For the half-breeds." They said in unison and we jumped apart. Jack attacked Cole and they fought mercilessly. Ash watched in horror as the two nearly killed each other before Cole knocked him unconscious. I attacked Ash with a blow to the back of the head and sent him flying as Cole attacked me. I blocked all his attacks and slashed at him with my sword. I cut him a few times, some worse than others, and he finally fell and surrendered. Ash attacked me and knocked my weapon away. I growled and began to pound him brutally with my bare hands. I defeated him and he lay there, bleeding from a wound on his side un the ground. Cole was holding a gash on his shoulder and Jack was unconscious.
"Looks like we have a winner here tonight folks! But, will he do it? WIll he kill them? Or will he throw his victory away?!" The announcer asked.
"O-Ocelot..... D-Dont do this....." Cole asked as a sword landed in front of me and i picked it up.
"I wont." I said and snapped the sword over my knee and dragged the two over to a wall in the circle. "Stay here. I'll deal with this." I said and walked back out into the center.
"I guess he wont be killing them tonight! Well, as you may or may not know, we have a very special guest here today. Please welcome, the one, the only, the Hero of Heroes...... JACK OF BLADES!!!!!" The announcer howled and i spun around to face him standing in the booth opposite to Celestia.
"I have returned..... After an eternity away from you all...... Jack. Of Blades. Is. Back. This arena, is all that is great in the world. And you all, that is great in it. I am honored, to stand before you again. And i have a proposal to mark the occasion. One. Final Round. A fight to the death between The last warrior left standing and the legendary undefeated beast. The Unknown." He said and lifted his hands. "Bring out the creature!" He shouted and a gate in the center of the arena opened and a panel came up with a red, faceless creature chained to it. It had massive claws and huge teeth and struggled for freedom and howled in my direction. I was taken aback by the horror of the creature.
"What the hell is that?" I asked myself as the chains broke from its body. It charged me and i escaped its grasp, but just barely. It charged again and grabbed me and pinned me to the ground. It looked into my eyes without any of its own and raised its right arm and extended its claws.
"Its over." Jack said and it echoed through the, now silent, arena as the sound of ripping flesh and cracking bones filled the building, as well as my agonizing screams. I lay there, motionless, as the creatures claws ripped into my chest and broke bones and attempted to kill me. I coughed up blood several times and the creature did not move. I reached for my sword, which was only a few feet away. But i could not reach it. I lay there, dieing slowly and looked at the creature.
"You...... C-Cant kill a..... D-Demon." I said as my entire arm glowed a bright red and was replaced by a full set of burning claws and i slashed the creatures neck. It looked at me and then its head fell off and it rolled off of my chest and its claws retracted. I stood up, five gaping holes in my chest, and looked at the crowd.
"What?!" Jack shouted.
"You..... Thought you could kill me..... That easily Jack?!" I shouted and laughed hysterically. "Dont make me laugh! I have been around far longer than you and i picked up a few things of my own!" I said with a grin as i fell to my knees and then, a moment later, my face made contact with the ground. I heard the screams of my friends as Celestia, Nightmare and the others sprinted towards me. I saw Celestia's face and then my vision faded and i passed out. I awoke a few hours later in a hospital bed. I saw Twilight and her friends were passed out with Celestia and Nightmare, who was still in Luna's form, in some of the chairs around the room. I tried to sit up but searing pain shot through my whole body. I grunted and looked at my chest and face in the mirror. I had a huge scratch over my blind eye and five massive blood stains on the bandages on my chest. I had several small scars on the visible areas of my chest and face as i looked back at the others. I sighed quietly, but it was loud enough that Nightmare heard it.
"Oh good your awake." She whispered and stood up net to me.
"What...... What the hell happened? Where are my friends?" I asked her quietly as to not wake up the others.
"In the next room over. They were injured badly. But nowhere near as mortally wounded as you. Had it not been for your willpower and demon blood you would have died in that arena. Your will to protect Celestia was the only thing keeping you alive until now." She said and sat down in her chair and pulled it next to my bed.
"Wow....... So how are they doing?" I asked her and she sighed.
"They'll live. Jack and Ash were the best off of the three. Cole will live, but he wont live well." She said and looked down.
"Why? What happened to him?" I asked and attempted to sit up again only to feel the same searing pain as before.
"He probably won't be able to use his right arm for at least a few days and his left leg is broken. He'll make a full recovery...... With time of course, but he'll recover." She said and looked at the clock.
"What about me? How was i when you guys got me here?" I asked her and saw some of the others shift around.
"You were mortally injured. You had five gaping holes in your chest from that creature, as well as no intact ribs left. Your heart failed and your lungs stopped for a while but came back up. Your heart recovered shortly after and you remained alive. Your right eye is scared and blinded, your left arm is broken and your right leg is sprained. You'll be lucky if you can ever walk right or hold a weapon correctly again." She said and i laughed.
"Luck? Please, you think its luck thats kept me in perfect physical condition all these hundreds of years? Watch and learn from a master healer." I said and lifted my right arm to my left and made contact with it. The two merged and i moved the bones back into place and repaired them and separated the two and moved my arm around.
"That is astonishing." She said with wide eyes. I did the same to my leg and my other wounds and stood up out of bed. My chest was till wounded and i ripped the bandages off, causing everyone to wake up.
"Ocelot!" Celestia shouted at me. There was anger in her voice when she spoke. "Why aren't you laying down?" She asked me and i stood up. "Your..... Your leg?" She asked and i flexed it.
"Never better. And my arm as well." I said and moved it around. The holes in my chest slowly closed up and recovered as if they were never there other than five scars. I flexed and yawned, then sat down.
"But how? The doctor said that it was broken. How can you walk?" Twilight asked me.
"Twilight, there are many good things demons can do. Not just evil. I, for one, am a master healer among the ranks of my army. I can not only heal wounds with spells i can literally fuse my hands to an injury and fix any internal problems from the outside in mere seconds. That is how i fixed my arm and leg. Watch." I said and snapped my leg bone in half. I grunted in pain and cringed for a minute and then exhaled.
"Dude...... Thats some fucked up shit right there." Dash said and pointed to my leg.
"I know." I said and placed my hand on my leg. It reached in and moved the bone into place and mended it together and stood up. "See? Good as new." I said and sat down.
"Thats incredible. How did you learn to do that?" Twilight asked.
"Im not really sure. I guess it just came to me. Like a cutie mark per say. I guess healing is my special talent since there has never been an injury i could not heal." I said and heard a crash in the next room. I stood up and ran through the wall into the next room and saw Jack standing over my friends.
"Aah, hello Ocelot. Glad you could join us." He said and looked at me from behind his mask.
"Jack.... Leave now, before i have to do something i dont want to." I said through gritted teeth.
"Like what fool? I have lived for over a thousand years. What could you possibly-" He stopped as i shifted to demon mode and equipped my scythe. I saw his eyes shrink back and stepped away from me.
"Whats wrong Jack? Scared of Death?" I asked and approached him.
"S-Stay back! Keep that thing away from me!" He said and dove out the window and disappeared.
"What was that all about?" Nightmare asked.
"Jack is mortal just like anyone else. He died over a thousand years ago but has been using magic to keep his soul locked inside his body. Like a bird in a cage, the only way to free his corrupted spirit is to open the cage. And this shall be the key." I said and my scythe lit up. "Celestia, head back to Canterlot. Jack will want to have a meeting with you soon. I will be close by and do whatever he says. When the time is right, i will end him. But if my plan fails, all hope for this world and me will be lost." I said and vanished into the wind. I reappeared inside the throne room and sprinted up the wall and wedged myself into the ceiling and waited. I sat there for about five minutes before Celestia got there and an hour after before Jack got there.
"Hello Princess Celestia. I wanted to speak with you." Jack said and bowed in his red half robe. He looked up at her and she smiled.
"Alright then, what do you need?" She asked.
"Uum, is there someplace more private we could talk?" He asked and looked around.
"Of course, this way." She said and stood up. She turned and walked down a hallway followed by Jack. I grinned and faded away and turned invisible before dropping silently to the ground. I stalked them closely but i could not understand what they were saying. I followed them into a room at the end of the hallway and they closed the door. I shook my head and walked through it into the room.
"This is much better." Jack said and looked around.
"So what is it you-" Celestia was cut off by a rope being tied into her mouth and another around her hands.
"Just cooperate Celestia and it will be over quickly." Jack said and pushed her to the ground. She grunted and looked around for me but i was invisible at the time. "Now this wont hurt for long." Jack said and pulled out a knife. I returned to visibility and howled at him.
"JACK OF BLADES I CALL YOUR SPIRIT TO THE AFTERLIFE!!!!" I howled and he dropped the knife and began screaming in agony and i walked in front of him. He looked up at me and i grinned before smashing my fist into his mask. It shattered to pieces and flew all across the room and he flew and hit a wall with a massive thud. I cackled in joy and approached him.
"B-But H-How?!" He shouted through the remaining teeth he had.
"You didn't really think i'd leave Celestia alone with you did you?" I asked and activated a spell. He was pinned to the ground on his back by floor panels as i drew my scythe.
"No..... No! Please No!" He shouted and struggled. I turned into a demon wearing a black robe without wings and approached him as the room turned black all around us. My voice sounded demonic and echoed throughout the city.
"Jack Of Blades. You have committed crimes against humanity, time, existence, life and the entire world. What say you in your defense?!" I howled through the darkness and blowing wind.
"YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT!!!! YOU CAN ALL GO TO HELL!!!!" He screamed.
"Not soon enough im afraid. But thats where your going to be going in a moment." I said and my scythe glowed purple. "Jack Of Blades. You have evaded death for a thousand years and have come to owe the underworld your soul. For you, there is no redemption. No acceptance. No choice. For you..... There is only...... DEATH!!!!!" I howled and laughed maniacally as i ripped the scythe through the air and impaled his side. He howled in pain and i pulled the scythe upward, a bright red trail following it as i went.
"Whats going on in here?!" Nightmare shouted and kicked open the doors and gasped at the sight. I laughed maniacally as the red trail turned into a soul and was absorbed by the scythe. I howled into the darkness and placed the scythe on the ground.
"And for attempting to harm the one i love. I sentence you to EXECUTION!!!!!" I said and grabbed his head. I twisted it two ways and then ripped it from his body, as well as his spine. I held his head in the air and howled with laughter and my robe disappeared and turned into my four wings and expanded to cover the whole room. I laughed maniacally for about two minutes before i said anything. "FATHER! HEAR MY VOICE! I HAVE DONE WHAT YOU COULD NOT! I HAVE KILLED JACK OF BLADES AND TAKEN HIS SOUL FOR THE UNDERWORLD! ARE YOU PROUD OF ME NOW FATHER?!" I howled into the darkness and returned to normal. I fell to my knees and dropped the removed head to the floor as everyone else walked in.
"Ocelot..... What was-" Nightmare started but i cut her off.
"My destiny had been fulfilled. Jack Of Blades is dead and my father has been avenged after a thousand years of searching for him. I have finally done what he could not. I have surpassed even death itself. I have become...... King... Of the demon world. I am King Dante Sparda. Son of King Sparda the first. Ruler of the demon world. Keeper of the souls of the dead and harbinger of death itself. Not even death can save you from me. I. AM. DEATH!!!" I howled into the night as the sun came up and Nightmare changed into Luna. Then i passed out. When i opened my eyes i was looking at a black rock type floor and when i looked around i was inside of a volcano. Or, what appeared to be a volcano at least. I looked around and it looked like an arena or something.
"Hello Dante....." An incredibly deep voice said and echoed through the area.
"Who's there? Show yourself!" I shouted.
"Oh Dante, always so naive. You truly shouldn't have been able to save her. But then again, you didn't anyway did you?" The voice asked.
"Save who?! Who are you?! Where am i?!" I howled and heard something behind me. I turned and face a massive black dragon with horns and spikes jutting from its back. It roared at me and jumped towards me. It landed in front of me and gazed upon me with neon red eyes.
"Don't you recognize me anymore? Oh, but how could you? You took my soul away from me and disfigured me beyond recognition." The dragon said to me and grinned.
"Jack?" I asked and looked into his eyes.
"YES ITS ME YOU DIMWIT OF A FAILURE!" He howled at me.
"but how? I removed your soul!" I shouted.
"Oh poor naive Dante. I never even HAD a soul. You took the soul of one of the victims of the mask. That mask you broke was my soul mask. When ever the real Jack died the person who killed him would wear the mask against their will and become the next Jack. You see its quite an amazing process." He said with a chuckle.
"What?" I asked.
"Oh well, enough talk Dante. TIME TO DIE!!!" He howled and snapped his jaws around me and i shot up on the floor of the castle screaming.
"Shh, its okay Ocelot. you were passed out. Everythings alright." Celestia cooed. I looked around and gasped for air.
"What happened to you?" Twilight asked.
"I..... I had another vision....." I said and gasped for air.
"A vision? Of what?" Celestia asked.
"Jack...... He's...... He's not dead...... He never will be......." I said and laid down on my back.
"What do you mean?" Luna asked me.
"Jacks mask. The one i broke. Where is it?" I asked and sat up.
"What do you mean broke? Its right here." Dash said and picked it up. I gasped and snatched it away from her.
"NO ONE CAN TOUCH THIS MASK! NO ONE!!!!" I screamed and everyone stepped back.
"Ocelot what is the matter with you?" Celestia asked.
"This is a soul mask. It is worn by all those who kill Jack of Blades. When worn it steals their soul and replaces it with a black hole. And they become Jack of Blades. I must destroy it before he returns. Where is the nearest volcano?" I asked.
"The only volcano left is locked away behind the Bronze Gate. It hasn't been opened for over seven hundred years." Luna said.
"Then i must find a way to open it." I said and stood up.
"Are you CRAZY?!" Twilight yelled.
"What is the matter?" I asked her.
"Legend says that the opening of the Bronze Gate will bring about the end of the world!" Twilight shouted and everyone looked at me.
"I know Twilight. And that is why i must open it." I said and Celestia looked shocked.
"What do you mean?" She asked me.
"It has been my destiny to bring about the end of the world as my place in this world as demon king. But i have... Ahem, you have all changed my destiny with your friendship itself. You have forced me to the path that i must open the Bronze Gate. Not to destroy the world..... But to save it from destruction itself." I said and everyone stepped back.
"What are you talking about?" Rarity asked me.
"Im saying that i am leader of the demon world. I can summon the armies of hell itself into this world to assist me in the final battle. All five of us are the leader of something. Melissa is daughter of the commander of the armies of heaven itself. Cole is king of the dragons. Ash is lord of the wolves and Lupus. Jack is, or rather should be, ruler of the armies of earth. We each command a force great enough to provide peace for the rest of time. And that is exactly what we are going to do." I said and stood tall. Everyone looked at me as if i was some kind of madman.
"Ocelot-" Twilight began but i cut her off.
"Dante. Please, my birth name is Dante." I said and smiled.
"Okay then. Dante, how can you possibly be leader of the demon armies?" Twilight asked and i stepped back.
"You doubt my rank in hell? Then i will show you my power!" I said and warped everyone to an open field ten miles east of Canterlot. "Witness the true purpose of Death's Scythe!" I howled and transformed into a demon and unsheathed it. I spun it around and slammed the ground with the blade and sat there for a moment. After that, the ground shook and ripped open in front of the scythe, creating a stairway surrounded in fire. "BEHOLD! THE ARMIES OF HELL!" I howled and we all looked down the stairway into the depths of hell itself to reveal millions of demons wearing armor and wielding swords and shields as well as many other weapons. "BEHOLD! MY. ARMIES!!!!!" I shouted and fire spouted up from the depths of hell itself and the whole area vanished and sealed shut as we teleported back into Canterlot. A deadly silence fell over us all as we stood there.
"So i guess you were telling the truth....." Twilight said and grinned slightly.
"Twilight, dont worry. I have no intention of using them unless i have every possible need to. I give you my word." I said and smiled.
"Well, at least we know were safe for now. We should be heading home now. See you guys later." Twilight said as her and her friends walked out and teleported home. I chuckled and looked at me friends.
"You should get some rest as well. You'll need it eventually." I said and they all nodded and walked off. I smiled and turned to Celestia and Luna.
"So, what are we going to do now?" Celestia asked.
"Well, i dont know about you, but i have plans for tonight." Luna said with a smile.
"Then please, by all means go ahead. I'll cover for you while your gone." Celestia said as Luna walked out. She nudged me and i looked at her. "Im going to go out and check on her while she's gone." She whispered.
"No, no, no. Let me handle this. You stay here and i'll make sure she's safe." I said with a smile as i faded into the darkness. I followed Luna to the entrance to the castle and then all the way down to Ponyville. I landed on top of the roof across from where she landed and watched her knock on Twilight's door. I scratched my chin in thought as Twilight opened the door and the two walked off somewhere. "Hmm, what's going on here?" I asked myself and leaped silently onto the next roof over. It was about midnight now and it was incredibly difficult to see me in the sky as i followed them through town and out to a field. They sat underneath a tree, which i silently leaped into and sat back against it in one of the branches. They sat together and looked up at the sky.
"Oh look, there's Orion." Twilight said and i looked out into the sky. They were apparently looking for constellations together.
"Yes i see it. Over there, look its the little dipper." Luna said and pointed somewhere else. Then the two sat silently for a few minutes and i sat silently above them.
"I love you Luna." Twilight eventually said and i about fell out of the tree.
"I love you too Twilight." Luna responded and they kissed and looked back up at the stars. I grinned and shook my head in understanding. They sat there for about a half hour looking up at the night sky before they got up to leave. On the walk back i was on a roof above them when they stopped and talked.
"Twilight, don't you think we should tell someone about this? I mean we have been seeing each other for about two weeks now and no one knows yet." Luna said and i looked over the edge of the roof.
"I suppose we should. I mean, whats the worst that could happen?" She said and chuckled.
"Having a good time you two?" I said over the roof and they both shot glances all around them and i slowly floated to the ground behind them. "Over here." I said and they both shot around. Their faces were paralyzed in the same exact position as i looked at them angrily. I sat there and crossed my arms and Luna's face dropped.
"How long have you been listening?" She asked me.
"Since you left Canterlot. I heard and saw everything." I said, keeping the same expression as before.
"Are you..... Mad?" She asked me and my face shifted to a happy smile.
"Mad? Why would i be mad? If you two love each other i couldn't be happier for you." I said and smiled at them. They both looked at each other in disbelief and then looked at me.
"So your not mad?" Twilight asked.
"Well i am a little bit perturbed. Why didn't you tell anyone this sooner?" I asked them.
"We were worried how people would react to it." Luna said and looked down.
"Luna, please, it doesn't matter what other people think of it. If their happy for you, good. If their upset about it, oh fucking well, they can deal with it. Nothing is more important than your happiness. Especially to Celestia." I said and approached her. I placed my hands on her shoulders and looked into her eyes. "And anything that will make Celestia happy makes me happy." I said and hugged her.
"Thank you Dante." She said and hugged me back. "Are you going to tell Celestia about this?" She asked as we separated.
"Well that all depends on what you think. It is your relationship after all. Me, im not one to judge. Im a demon for crying out loud." I said and shrugged.
"Well, i think i'll tell her when i come home then." She said and looked at Twilight.
"I think thats good. Now then, go ahead and run along you two, im heading back home to get some work done." I said and waved as i flew away. I created a drone again and sent it off to watch them. "Thats a good drone." I said and vanished into the night.
