Raven: A Thiefs's Road To Forgiveness.

The forest was alive as the cool August breeze flowed across the ground pulling the leaves with it as it went, the moon hung low in the sky as stars danced around saying hello to all they met. The large oaks gently swayed to an invisible beat as their branches swung in an elaborate dance only to stop when the song was through. The birds and crickets both chirped giving the whole scene the music it needed.

The slight footsteps where the only things out of place in the ballroom dance as a young women clad in leather and steel walked through the forest her hood held over her eyes and her cape flowing in the wind, her rapier made a small clink with each foot fall. As the moon’s light cascaded on this woman her skin grew to a more cream color as she placed a hand over her golden necklace a small red ruby set inside it safe from the elements.

Smiling she set off at a faster pace racing for the home she had been away from for far too long away from, her leather boots snapping twigs and crunching leaves as she went.

Soon she came along a small inn, where laughter and music could be heard. While this simple log inn looked out of place no where near a road to lead hungry and tired guests to its door but placed deep in the woods where no one but a select few knew.

Smiling she walked in and was greeted by a knife held to her throat. "Holy hell Raven knock first if I had half I mind you would be dead on the floor!" Grumbled a older man with a big nose and small eyes.

"Good to see you too, Garvin. I hope nothing bad has happened to my good drinking buddy." She said with a chuckle. "I hope the last few months were not to hard on the rest of the family."

"Oy vey, girl you have a fucking death wish, as for your earlier questions I am fine and nothing has befallen our family of thieves." He said with a nod hugging the girl with broad arms arms sausage-like fingers. "Now go get yourself some mead, you sure as hell earned it, after what you did I say you have earned more than what we have to offer but hell, I should just be happy you're alive." He then placed the young women down and went back to his table.

Giggling she made her rounds saying hello to the family she left three months ago to cripple the kings guards. Soon she found herself in front of the bar with a lean boy roughly her age if not older, he had on a simple tunic and pants with leather shoes, his eyes were a ocean blue with just a hint of green he wore a smile of pure white teeth that if in the right light could blind a man.

Upon seeing her he quickly hopped the bar and picked her up in a hug and laughed "Damn it Raven you had me worried, I thought the guards had gotten you."

"Oh shut up Dean, you know better than anyone I can take on a couple guards." She then kissed his cheek getting him to turn redder than a tomato. Seeing his face she burst into laughter "You should see your face!"

"Not funny, Rav." He deadpanned

"Oh suck it up pansy." She retorted smiling evilly.

Dean then hopped back over the bar and grabbed a glad and filed it with orange mead she had come to love.

"Okay little miss high and mighty, tell me about it." He flashed a smile and placed the glass in front of her.

"Ugh... do I have to I just got back." She whined.

"Yes, now spill." He said getting a glare from her.

"I'm not winning this one, am I."

"Nope. Now. Spill."

She sighed and gave him an unamused look "God you're worse than that witch by the bog... fine so after-"

knock knock knock

Everyone turned to the door as Garvin stood and slid the peep hole open "Who goes there?" He asked bluntly.

A gruff voice responded "The kings Templars, thief... this night die without honor." Before anyone had time to move a sword was thrust through the peep hole into the eyes of Garvin and exiting through the back of his head, blooded and bones flew as the sword slowly was taken back by it's master.

Raven stood in silent horror as she watched her best friend slump down onto the floor in a puddle of blood. What happened next was a blur of steel meetting steel or flesh and blood and the cries of thieves echoing the room.

"RAV," A voice said but she did not respond she could not tear her eyes away from Garvin's lifeless body. "RAV, hey snap out of it!" She was then grabbed and forced along into the rooms "Raven, look at me." She looked up into Dean's blue eyes.

"You have to go you have to use your magic if they find you there will be no stopping the king please Rav, do it for the family. Now go." The sound of doors being kicked down shook the all to old wood "Raven now i'll hold them off go!" He then walked out of the room yelling at the guards only to run.

Raven sat in shock she knew what she had to do she knew she had to find a new king or queen to help... she needed to find a home. She reached deep within herself grasping onto the fame of magic shit hid alto well, before a bright light consumed the room before disappearing leaving everything the same... but without a certain girl.

Not much can be said about traveling through space and time you don't eat, you don't sleep, you don't do anything but look through an infinite amount of worlds and times looking for one that suits you perfectly. While it’s boring at times you see yourself in many lives as if live is slapping you across the face and saying you’re nothing special, but there is only one of you that can travel through space and time alike.

Raven cursed she landed in the middle of ruins, when she arrived she sent a dust cloud flying into the air the choke just about everything. She raised her undershirt and hood to block out the dust from her eyes and lungs.

“Girls form up it’s another one of Nightmare Moon’s guards.” A feminine voice said.

Raven turned what stood before her made her gasp six girls stood glaring at her one had purple hair with a pink stripe running down the middle what she wore made a lump form inside her throat...purple and a whole lot of it, royalty no doubt but what made her inquisitive was purple glow around her hands was it magic?

Next to her was a rainbow haired girl with a cyan track coat and black sports shorts with some simple sneakers, erupting from her back were two beautiful cyan wings, she had her fists up as if she was looking for a fight.

She did not have time to look at the others before the Rainbow haired women yelled to her “Hey asshole move out of the way!”

Raven panicked only royalty wore purple, was she interrupting anything she hoped not. She then dropped to one knee and bowed. “Your highness.” Gasps broke out in between the group.

“Um what?” oh stupid stupid Raven she’s not royalty you are on a different planet she is probably a commoner, oh fuck it.

“So you are not royalty?” She asked as she stood up and walked to the group only to have them take a step back for everyone she took forwards, sighing she stopped and looked behind her oh fuck that’s right they had places to be. “Um would you like to pass I can move… I just need the direction of the nearest town if you don’t mind.”

“What?! Don’t mind, DON’T MIND?! Okay now nightmare moon is just being stupid if she thinks we would let you anywhere even close to Ponyville.” the rainbow haired girl fumed.

“Who is Nightmare Moon sounds like a ghost story… oh are you guys looking for a ghost can I help, I mean I usually only do demons and dungeons full of spiders, skellingtons, and the undead. But ghost’s would be a nice change of pace all you have to do is ward them off with a  little spell and BOOM no more Mr. Mean Ghost!” She said smiling under her shirt oh right her hood and undershirt them must be terrified of what’s underneath them, slowly she took her hood down and undershirt off her mouth.

“Gasp, she’s just like us how did Nightmare Moon do that?!” said a regal voice.

“I don’t know Rarity, but enough pondering on the how we need to end the eternal night, even if it means killing her.”

Ravens mind was going at a hundred miles per hour kill her why she did nothing wrong… well, besides killing a prince, stealing gold, murder, treason, escaping prison… and much more, just play dumb Rav, just play dumb. “Why do you have to kill me I have done nothing wrong… if you want to go past me go ahead I won’t stop you.”

“You listen her missy if you think we’re lettin’ you go for one dang apple pickin minute.” came a voice with a southern draw.

“I don’t want to fight you but I will if I have too, all I want is the nearest town or village…” Raven said calmly as she reached her hand down to her blade.

“Twi can ya use your magic to bind her?” Asked the girl with the southern draw

“I’ll try, Apple Jack.” the girl that Raven assumed was ‘Twi’ said her hands glowing the same purple as before. “W..what?!” she stood baffled “It.. didn’t work, my magic didn’t work!”

Raven smiled so it is magic… better level the playing field. She drew her blade and funned her magic into it turning it into a longer sleeker blade “I wish not to hurt you, but may you find rest in the arms of the father our god.” She took a fighting stance waiting them to make the first move.

The rainbow haired girl growled before charging at high speed before hitting an invisible wall. “Hey what gives!?” she yelled kicking the the wall Raven had put, she giggled.

“I told you I did not want a fight so I put up a small force field to stop you from attacking me.” she said as if it was obvious “So what will it be calmly walk past me or continue to fight till none of you breath?”

“HAHAHA YOU WILL NEVER GET PAST MY MINIONS TWILIGHT SPARKLES!” came a powerful voice behind Raven she turned to see a women taller than her clad in blue armor her hair was like plasma a black abyss with white specks almost looking like the night sky. “Wait… you are not one of mine who are you?” She leaned down to get a closer look at Raven.

“I am Raven Willowsmith, and I have no clue where I am.” She smiled and held out a hand “Pleasure to meet you Miss…”

“Moon, Nightmare Moon…” she never got the chance to shake Ravens hand for her arm was cleanly cut off by her blade.

“DAEMON!” Raven yelled at Nightmare “I have heard of you… something about eternal darkness but that is beside the point, I may be a petty thief but I know when one is evil.” she swung her sword only to have Nightmare dodge out of the way.

“YOU DARE PRESENT!” Nightmare bellowed shaking the ruins “I AM A QUEEN THE RULER OF NIGHT AND YOU SHALL FALL ALONG SIDE THE SUN!” a powerful blast of blue magic was sent towards Raven making her quickly shield herself Inside a golden bubble.

“Every queen must fall… be it by BOW OR BY BLADE!” Raven shouted as she charged her swinging out time and time again.

[POV Change: Twilight]

She watched dumbfounded as this ‘Raven’ character slashed at Nightmare Moon forcing her back, she was frightened what she originally thought was evil turned out to be good. She watched as time seemed to slow around her Raven was hacking at Nightmare and when ever she landed a hit it Nightmare would just heal herself with a smug grin. “Raven lower the wall we need to get the elements of harmony!” She shouted hoping Raven would hear.

Raven smiled and nodded before returning her assault, Twilight and her new friends wasted no time running through the maze that was once a castle only to find what she was looking for five orbs each with a small gem inside. “Oh no where is the sixth?!” Twilight ran around the room looking for it.

“Ah don’t worry sugarcube, I’m sure it’s around here somewhere.” Apple Jack said with a reassuring smile.

“Ya and besides we have plenty of time with that ‘Raven’ girl taking on Nightmare Moon, she’s awesome, but still not as awesome as me!” Rainbow Dash stated proudly.

Twilight nodded she knew her friends were right “YA you’re right i just have to be calm down and look i mean it can’t be that hard right?” the other five girls nodded and went separate ways looking for the sixth element, the element of magic. “Wait girls you should put yours on before we go and look.” She channeled her magic into her hand to unlock the orbs she felt her power growing and she could not stop it, she rose along with the other five elements and in a bright flash the all wore necklaces resembling their cutie marks.

All but Twilight she wore a gold tiara and in the center was a purple gem resembling her six sided star mark. “Okay girls let's go help Raven.” they ran back to the scene but what remained was not what they had left.

"Holy shit...." Rainbow dash muttered.
